Greed destroys spiritual progress, causing a fall regardless of one's efforts. A hardworking man saw an advertisement for a magical golden egg promising wealth. Consumed by greed, he spent all his savings on it, quit his job, and isolated himself to guard it. He eventually cracked the egg, finding only an empty, painted shell. He lost everything. This illustrates how greed corrupts discernment. Another story tells of a rich man who abandoned everything to collect gold from a mythical land. He filled his bag endlessly, forgetting to eat or drink, and died there, still collecting. A true account involves a dedicated swami who left his guru to reclaim ancestral land. After selling it, he bought a motorbike and invested in a business, but met with ruin, ending up serving tea by a roadside. These stories show greed's destructive power, which can be countered by constant remembrance of the guru, not just in distress. Mantra practice requires correct technique, purity of heart, and devotion, which ultimately transcend mere rules. The earth and people of this land are sacred, infused with divine presence. Every child embodies the divine, and life's ideal is seeing every place as the abode of the Supreme. Your true nature is the cosmic Self, resting in the lap of the infinite. You have a universal right to contentment and joy, but the fleeting joys of the world bring subsequent sorrow. True peace is found within, at the source. The mind, however, is disturbed by countless thoughts, or vṛttis, like waves on a peaceful lake. Patañjali's yoga teaches the cessation of these mental fluctuations, which is more challenging now than in ancient times. You must accept three laws: cosmic, natural, and societal. Acceptance of natural change, like aging, is key to peace. Meditation provides strength to face life's inevitable truths and hardships, which are hard to digest. Theoretical knowledge of being the immortal Self is not enough; practical realization, which removes all fear, is the goal. Until then, follow the devotional path, using mantra and guidance. Shift self-inquiry from "Who am I?" to "How am I?" to purify your behavior and qualities. The path of faith is proven through direct experience and sustained by satsaṅg. A master provides simple initial practices, like a mantra. This must be done with heart and soul to feel the connection and blessing. The first step of sincere practice opens the soul to the master's consciousness. Faith in the master's guidance is essential. External circumstances are not a measure of spiritual merit, as illustrated by a parable. Two neighbors received their wages; one spent his on worldly enjoyment in kusaṅg and found a gold coin. The other attended satsaṅg but broke his leg. A sage explained the one in kusaṅg was destined for a vast treasure but received only one coin due to his company. The one in satsaṅg was destined to be killed, but his karma was mitigated to a broken leg. Never compare fortunes or judge the path by temporary outcomes. Satsaṅg opens the heart center and unites the soul with the highest consciousness. The quickest way to God is through bhakti, devotion, growing with the innocence of a child. Unconditional love for the master automatically extends to all creation. When acting for the master, close your eyes and trust he is with you. Other forms include drama and storytelling, which impart unforgettable knowledge from a young age. True learning is joyful and deep, unlike forgettable academic study which lacks heart. Knowledge must balance heart and brain. Stories teach this balance, illustrating that purity of heart, not wealth, defines true devotion. A story tells of a poor gardener who, offered vast sums for a garland, chose instead to give it to his guru, demonstrating that bhakti is surrendering everything. Partners are together for a period of time then conflicts arise - that is similar to spiritual life. We need a clear path, a sattvic (pure) life, and have to make this path through the forest. Just reading does not help us. We should change ourself inside, otherwise, time is lost. The realisation of Atma Gyana (Self-knowledge) takes more time.

The Guru is omnipresent, observing and guiding from within. His physical location is secondary to his constant spiritual presence. He feels the emotions and energies of his disciples, reacting to their inner states. The path requires surrender, trust, and devotion, not logic or personal effort. Service and love cultivate this relationship. Approach him for blessings, not for answers to trivial questions. He tests faith to strengthen it. His various expressions, even stern ones, are forms of blessing for the disciple's growth. Ultimately, he is the sole guide and protector. Śiva is the light of liberation, the divine harmony of truth and beauty. He acts when human effort is exhausted, rescuing devotees. This harmony is balance, devoid of conflict and selfishness. Śiva, as Mahādeva, is the greatest power. The individual soul (Jīvātmā) is connected to the Ātmā, which is one with the supreme soul (Paramātmā). Realizing this unity makes one a Mahātmā, and at the highest consciousness, a Mahādeva. The true Guru is that realized Ātmā, not the physical body, which is merely a container for that priceless diamond. Modern pursuit of money and technology represents a decline in consciousness. Scientific research cannot apprehend the soul; divine creation is perfect and beyond human replication. Manipulating nature, such as with sterile seeds or artificial conception, destroys natural harmony and leads to societal discord. True knowledge comes from spiritual practice, not instruments. One must live in harmony with nature, renounce selfish desires, and purify the mind to realize the inner Ātmā, which is the Paramātmā present in all. "Śiva means light. The mantra "Oṃ Aki Rāchanā Śarīra" points to the uncreated body of Consciousness, not the physical form. This true nature is the eternal, unchanging Self that was never born and will never die. The first happiness is a healthy body. Without the body, there is nothing. It is easy to dismiss the body when healthy, but illness reveals its importance. Health requires good space, pure air, clean water, and natural food. Our lifestyle creates psychic problems, but humans can heal themselves. Practice yoga, prāṇāyāma, and meditation. Use organic things and embrace a natural life. True prosperity is having enough for your family, not excessive greed. A loyal partner and mutual understanding create a happy household. The Guru is the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance. To bow before the Guru is to accept this illuminating light into the heart. The Guru builds both the stone temple and the inner human temple. The divine energy from the Guru enters through the crown chakra, flows down to awaken the earth element at the base, and causes the Kundalini energy to rise. Consciousness resides at the halfway point of the manipura chakra; the spiritual goal is reached from there. For life to have meaning, the inner sun must rise. The Guru Tattva is the essential force that awakens and develops this inner light. Without it, there is only darkness.
