The name is important not the body
0:45 - 1:10 (25 min)
Recorded on
The essence of all spiritual paths is oneness. In this age, we recognize negative forces but also a unifying spirituality, whether called yoga, meditation, or prayer. Methods and languages differ, but the human essence is the same. Just as children in a village receive different names but are all human, different centers or religions are expressions of one truth. We must not exclude others based on their guru or practice; all are brothers and sisters. The divine name is immortal, unlike the body. External science is great for travel but not for liberation. True yoga is not merely exercise; it is the prāṇa and spirituality present everywhere, flowing daily like fresh milk from a cow. "One in all and all in one." "The name is very important; the body is not so important." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
Yoga in Daily Life: Union, Harmony, and Self-Knowledge
1:15 - 2:32 (77 min)
Recorded on
Yoga is the science of union, balancing body, mind, and consciousness to achieve harmony. Problems arise from imbalance within ourselves. Yoga offers practical methods for this balance, leading to inner peace. True yoga aims for the union of individual consciousness with the cosmic consciousness. We originate from this cosmic source but develop separate qualities over time. To reunite, we must purify our qualities, cultivating human virtues like love and kindness while overcoming negative traits. Yoga is practical, not theoretical. Physical postures and breath control promote health and calm the mind. Observing the breath is a key meditation technique. Our inner energy flows through channels called nāḍīs and centers called chakras. The journey begins at the Mūlādhāra chakra, the seat of latent consciousness. Awakening moves energy to the Svādhiṣṭhāna chakra, associated with water and emotion. This chakra houses qualities like passion and anger, symbolized by a crocodile representing laziness and karma. Purifying these emotions through tolerance and kindness allows progress. The ultimate goal is self-knowledge and liberation from cycles of suffering. "Yoga is a balancing principle which balances the entire universe." "Know thyself is the answer to all your questions." Filming location: Croatia DVD 159b

Practicing of the system 'Yoga in Daily Life', Level 1 - Part 3
12:00 - 12:53 (53 min)
Recorded on
We continue our morning yoga practice from the Yoga in Daily Life system. Sit and chant Oṁ to purify the atmosphere. Lie down in the relaxation posture and become aware of your entire body. Systematically relax each part from the right foot upward, using exhalation to release tension. Feel each area soften. Direct your consciousness through the trunk, chest, and right hand, then relax the left side, throat, and face. Observe the natural breath entering and leaving the lungs. We begin breath techniques. Practice the three components of the full yoga breath separately. First, place a hand on your belly for abdominal breathing, feeling the diaphragm move. This reduces stress. Next, place hands on the chest for chest breathing, feeling the ribs expand. Then, place fingers on the collarbones for clavicular breathing. Finally, combine them into a single, wave-like breath: inhale from belly to chest to collarbones, then exhale in reverse. Begin physical practice with breath-coordinated arm raises. Incorporate stretching by raising one arm and stretching the side, then both arms for diagonal stretches. Practice a full-body stretch, noting the contrast between tension and relaxation. Roll the body side to side like a solid piece of wood. Perform Pavanamuktāsana by drawing the forehead to the raised knee, experimenting with head placement to feel different stretches. Practice Navāsana, the Boat pose, rocking side to side. From sitting, clasp hands behind the head for side bends to strengthen the back. Perform conscious hand and wrist exercises. Work the legs with a forward bend from a seated position. Stand for the final practices. Raise and lower arms with control. Pull one knee to the chest while standing to aid digestion and balance. Perform a full-body stretch, rising onto the toes. Conclude with relaxation. Lie down and compare your sensations to the start of practice. Sit for Prāṇāyāma.
The Essence of Satsaṅg and Gurukṛpā
13:00 - 13:59 (59 min)
Recorded on
The essence of spiritual life is grace and truthful company. Grace is the sole blessing, flowing from Śiva through the entire guru lineage into every cell, resolving all difficulties. All creatures seek this grace, which manifests as humility in nature. Humans, however, harbor a unique negativity that obscures the soul present within all. We require cleansing, which we find in spiritual gathering. This gathering is satsaṅg—the company of truth. Truth means reality, and company means being together with what is good. It washes away the dirt we accumulate, just as water cleanses the body. We come to such company to relax and reconnect. The inner guru, the Satguru, is like a light within the heart. This gathering unites us, reminding us we are one with the divine and all life. We must engage in truthful company within our own homes and with all beings, recognizing the love present in all creatures. Our purpose is to realize this unity and live in harmony. "Kṛpā permeates our whole body, every single cell, and resolves our problems and difficulties." "Sat means truth. Satsaṅg means together. Satsaṅg means that we all are one." Filming location: Vienna, Austria

Yoga, Faith, and Integration: A Personal Journey and Panel Discussion
14:55 - 15:59 (64 min)
Recorded on
Yoga is a faith-based, personal journey of healing and a system for holistic wellness that must be integrated into healthcare. My view is traditional: yoga is about belief, not just evidence. Diagnosed with a terminal cancer, I refused standard treatment. I believed the illness originated in my mind. I rewrote my conscious thoughts, believing they would communicate through my nervous system to my cells and DNA to halt the disease. The cancer stopped. This is not a miracle but yoga practiced with faith and discipline. Yoga’s essence is tuning consciousness to God; physical postures are secondary. With this faith and practice, one can overcome. A panel discusses integrating yoga and AYUSH systems like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Siddha with modern medicine for holistic care. Homeopathy treats the whole person—mind, body, and intellect—and is cost-effective and people-friendly, ideal for a large population. It works on a subtle level, stimulating the body's healing. Ayurveda shares yoga's principles, focusing on removing blockages in prāṇa through detoxification and lifestyle to build immunity and prevent disease. Siddha medicine inherently includes yoga and offers unique therapies. All systems emphasize the mind's role in health. The World Health Organization supports developing evidence-based yoga modules for non-communicable diseases and creating integrative service models. The true purpose of yoga is raising human consciousness; health benefits are side effects. Practical integration requires training medical practitioners in short, common yoga protocols to advise patients. "Yoga is not about the āsana. Why not? It is about God." "Homeopathy treats man as a single entity, not in spare parts." Filming location: Delhi, India

Yoga treatment for panic attacks
19:00 - 19:52 (52 min)
Recorded on
Our path bestows the blessings of clarity and energy, essential for spiritual progress. Ordinary life feels like a bad boxing match, receiving punches that knock you down. We have the great fortune to meet the real source of light, receiving periodic infusions of energy and clarity to rise again. Prāṇāyāma is a powerful tool we often underuse. For instance, understanding Svara Yoga can resolve sleep issues by balancing nostril flow. Panic attacks relate to low energy and a sense of loss tied to identity, but the experience comes from the breath. Shallow, stressed breathing signals the brain of trouble, creating a suffocation feeling. The full Yoga breath, deep and slow, counters this by signaling safety. Deep Prāṇāyāma involves awareness of the pelvic diaphragm, a storehouse for stress; feeling its expansion and release retrains the brain and releases deep tension. Our system provides more than technique; it offers a source of spiritual knowledge and energy. A key psychological issue is a lack of proper self-boundaries, formed from childhood patterns. Self-inquiry meditation cleans these automatisms, allowing you to observe thoughts from a higher, objective point. This clarity, especially of the outward-facing part of the intuitive center, significantly improves life's quality. We recharge by connecting to this source of wisdom and energy. "With Prāṇāyāma, both [clarity and energy] are in our hands." "By cleaning at least one part we clean, and then our life is really jumping to a much higher quality." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
We can change the world together
20:00 - 20:56 (56 min)
Recorded on
Awareness of what we consume is crucial for health and unity. Many are unknowingly eating insects, which is harmful. This is not just a local issue but a global one, spreading even to places like India. Consuming such things can cause serious health problems, including blockages in the body, as we lack the enzyme to break them down. It can lead to diseases like cancer. Regulations may require labeling, but loopholes exist, especially in restaurants. The best defense is to cook at home using known, raw ingredients. We must be vigilant about what enters our bodies, as foreign substances, even from food, can influence our system. Our collective strength lies in unity and enduring commitment to sattvic living. By making conscious choices and supporting each other, we can protect our health and effect change. "Eating these worms is not bad only for our spiritual path. But it can cause serious health problems." "The best food for our health is no-label food. Prepare your bread, prepare your chapati." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
Spirituality is without meat and alcohol
21:00 - 21:47 (47 min)
Recorded on
Milk is a vital source of prāṇa, a pure substance from mothers like cows or goats, transformed into yogurt, butter, and ghee for health. The quality depends on the animal's treatment and pure grass diet, not contaminated feed. Exploiting animals for excessive milk causes suffering; we must care for them with compassion as fellow feeling beings. Our consumption should be conscious, avoiding meat and the diseases linked to it. Alcohol, though called a medicinal substance from ancient times, causes family strife and should be avoided. True practice involves conscious living, prayer for forgiveness for unconscious harm, and respect for all religions and paths. The core is personal responsibility in choosing pure food and compassionate action. "God has created it in such a way that from a body containing blood and many other elements comes pure milk." "All animals or humans, we are living beings. They feel pain, and we also feel the pain." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
Stories are within you
21:55 - 22:53 (58 min)
Recorded on
The true power lies in complete surrender to the guru's grace, not in our own actions. We are not the doers; by surrendering all at the holy feet, our problems cease. An object like stone becomes divine only after consecration in a sacred space, transforming from material to worshipped. Our inner devotion is expressed through offerings, but the intent of the heart matters more than the gift. The guru's grace is ever-present, preceding our birth, and exists in many forms. We should not judge other spiritual paths. The guru's compassionate gaze holds immense power. We must speak truthfully and carefully, as words manifest reality. Teaching through stories is profoundly effective, as they lodge in memory and convey complex truths simply. A narrative illustrates that serving others' needs first ultimately fulfills our own. Answers come indirectly through selfless action. A story is not from a book but drawn from our own stored experiences, making it a vital tool for learning and connection. "Na’haṁ kartā means we are not the doer. We cannot do it." "Guru Dev Kṛpā Dṛśya. Dṛśya means vision." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
