Birth of Lord Rama
1:00 - 1:51 (51 min)
The story of the Rāmāyaṇa brings a timeless message for our present days. It begins with the holy city of Ayodhyā, a city of Dharma founded by Manu. King Daśaratha ruled righteously with wise ministers and sages like Vasiṣṭha, yet he had no offspring. This was due to a boon Rāvaṇa obtained from Brahmā to prevent Daśaratha's heirs. Guru Vasiṣṭha advised a Putra Kāmeṣṭi Yajña, performed by sage Ṛśyaśṛṅga. After rituals, Agni gave a sacred khīr. The queens consumed it and conceived. Rāma was born to Kauśalyā, Bharata to Kaikeyī, and Lakṣmaṇa and Śatrughna to Sumitrā. The boys were inseparable and excelled in gurukula. When sage Viśvāmitra sought help against demons, Daśaratha reluctantly let Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa go. Viśvāmitra initiated them and gave divine weapons. They killed the demoness Tārakā and later protected Viśvāmitra's yajña from Rākṣasas. After success, Viśvāmitra directed them to Mithilā for King Janaka's yajña and the Śiva Dhanuṣ.
"King Daśaratha himself was an embodiment of Dharma."
"Viśvāmitrājī spoke, 'There is a Rākṣasī, Tārakā, living here, and she is very cruel... to kill her is the dharma.'"

Sri Ram Jaya Ram, Ramayana
3:45 - 4:13 (28 min)
The Rāmāyaṇa's eternal truth uplifts the soul through its simple, universal stories. When instructed to speak on it, I recalled studying a condensed Hindi textbook years prior, realizing the Master's guidance aligns with past preparation. That textbook, derived from Vālmīki's Sanskrit version, conveyed the essence perfectly: the narratives provide ideals for every human role and solutions to life's problems. Its wisdom became a cultural pillar, read in homes for generations. A 1990s television series based on the epic unexpectedly united the nation, demonstrating its enduring power. Vālmīki composed the epic after divine inspiration. Overwhelmed by seeing a hunter kill a mating crane, he spontaneously uttered a verse of curse, later revealed to be given by Lord Brahmā, who tasked him with writing the full story. The Rāmāyaṇa's message is timeless and global.
"The truth written in the Rāmāyaṇa is eternal; it was valid thousands of years ago and remains valid now."
"Everyone can find there the solution to his own life problems."

The Awakening of Inner Potential
6:50 - 6:55 (5 min)
Humans possess a unique intellectual capacity and an even more miraculous inner potential, hidden from most. Awakening this potential—the Kuṇḍalinī—means awakening inner knowledge and consciousness. This occurs when the cosmic energy within the body is purified and directed upward. This same energy pervades the cosmos and accumulates in the body at vortices called chakras. While thousands exist, eight are primary in Kuṇḍalinī yoga: five along the spine for normal existence and three above for spiritual development. Through yoga, prāṇāyāma, meditation, kriyā, and mantra, we can harmonize these centers. However, the guidance of a spiritual master, a guru who removes ignorance, is essential on this path to enlightenment, which is the ultimate aim of human life.
"Awakening of the Kuṇḍalinī means to awaken one’s inner knowledge, that innate potential which exists in each and every person as our birthright."
"The Sanskrit word guru means the remover of darkness. It is that one who removes the darkness of our ignorance and kindles in us the light of wisdom."
Practicing Yoga Asanas
7:00 - 7:41 (41 min)
We practice Vajrāsana and Vīrāsana for the nāḍī systems. Vajrāsana activates the Vajra Nāḍī, which begins between the big and second toe, connects to the base of the spine, and guides energy to the navel. Sitting in it after eating aids digestion and can help with constipation by relaxing the stomach and straightening the spine. It also balances the sciatic nerve. Vīrāsana, the hero's posture, involves sitting on the heels with toes standing. It warms the body, increases alertness, and with practice, can help repair digestion and headaches. These postures strengthen the lower centers and foot soles, which connect to the body's organs. They develop leg strength, balance, and concentration. Practice must be held steadily to awaken the nerves. "This Vajrāsana is designed especially to strengthen or to activate that Vajra Nāḍī." "This will repair our digestion. This will repair our headache problems, also many, many things." Filming location: USA

Build your intellect supportive
20:15 - 21:31 (76 min)
A clear aim is essential for spiritual progress, and a lack of clarity allows destructive influences to spoil your practice.
Your intellect disturbs you because your desire is not intense enough and your aim is not concrete. Without a clear goal, you are easily diverted by possibilities, like changing your destination based on radio advertisements. A definitive aim, like reaching a wedding, eliminates such distractions. Practical spiritual experience, not just theory, provides this unshakable clarity. Your intellect then becomes a helper, not an obstacle. You must avoid negative discussions, books, and societies that act like viruses in your consciousness. The human intellect is sensitive and can be steered by gossip and wrong impressions, which create negative mental patterns. These negative influences are like lemon in milk; they spoil your spiritual practice, which is built through sādhanā, mantras, and positive living. Once spoiled, this spiritual "milk" is nearly impossible to restore. Jealousy is a primary destructive force, a karmic illness manifesting in personal, spiritual, and even economic realms. It fuels the spreading of negative rumors, a modern weapon. The story of Nārada illustrates how jealousy and gossip can create doubt and sever even divine relationships, requiring great effort to mend. Therefore, be humble, avoid negative company, and protect your spiritual progress by guarding your thoughts and words.
"Your aim should be clear. Nothing can change me. The sun and moon can change their direction, but I will not change my direction."
"One stupid thought, one stupid person can destroy all your spiritual sādhanā, which you made years and years long with great confidence and with great love."

Purity in daily life
22:40 - 22:57 (17 min)
The soil of this land is sandalwood, and every child is the idol of the nation. This body is a temple, and every human is a helper. Every child is a child of the divine. All creatures seek happiness, which is your true reality. Spirituality leads you there through mantra, meditation, prayer, and satsaṅg. If you do not attend satsaṅg, you cannot be happy or develop spiritually. Impure thoughts and past karmas try to pull you away. Spirituality means purity, happiness, forgiveness, clarity, and no fear. Do not be afraid of death. Our life and health are connected to lunar and planetary systems, whose influences can be altered by mantras. Spirituality is pure thinking and nourishment. A pure atmosphere is vital; storing dead animals for food brings negative energy. Among 8.4 million creatures, humans are unique, spiritual, and meant to be protectors. Look within; you are a great friend. Do not claim you are unloved or alone. If there is disharmony, it is better to be alone and meditate. Conflict between spouses arises from inner impurity and lack of emotional control. Purify yourself through action, nourishment, good company, reading, meditation, mantra, prayer, and singing together. A spiritual family is built on love and harmony, not confined to religious buildings. Cultivate tolerance, respect for all cultures, and understanding for every nation. You are spiritual. Change your thinking and follow a nourishing, vegetarian, sattvic diet.
"Every creature wishes to attain happiness and to overcome unhappiness. And because that happiness is a universal principle, that is your real reality."
"Spirituality means purity, happiness, forgiveness, clarity, clear action, clear thoughts, no fear, no fear at all."
