Find your Shelter near Gurudev
0:35 - 1:54 (79 min)
The seeker's path requires unwavering concentration and balance, like walking a tightrope or a crane standing on one leg in water. Human life is a rare opportunity for this learning. The journey involves cycles, represented by the numbers one through nine, leading back to zero to begin again. Worldly attachments and happiness are transient, like messages in a ring stating "this will also go." True progress comes from Guru's grace, which purifies the seeker through and through, not merely by external signs. The Divine Mother, as Kuṣmāṇḍā, generated the universe from a cosmic egg with her smile, creating the trinity of Mahākālī, Mahālakṣmī, and Mahāsarasvatī. Liberation while living is possible, but it requires removing the cycle of birth and death to avoid the torment of cosmic dissolution.
"This will also go. This will go."
"I have colored you already. This cloth to color is nothing, but I have colored you completely through and through."

We need Gurudev
2:00 - 2:54 (54 min)
The disciple must never abandon the need for the guru or the teachings, for that is the gravest error. The guru is the principle that leads from ignorance to knowledge. This Guru Tattva is the essential diamond, not the physical form, yet it is embodied to provide tangible guidance. God aids the seeker by sending the guru, who is thus revered as indispensable. The aim is to merge the individual self with the cosmic Self, like a river entering the ocean. This is the Advaita understanding, where the one supreme reality is reflected in all individuals. This merging is the true purpose of yoga, achieved through the guru's grace and teachings. The embodied form concentrates this divine energy, making darśana transformative. The state beyond the three guṇas is inexpressible; it can only be pointed to as 'not this, not that.'
"The moment you think you know everything, very soon you will find yourself asking, 'Where are the bricks? Where is the parachute?'"
"God will send your friend with the boat. And the Guru is here."

Around The World - Vegetarianism and top sport, Part 1
3:00 - 3:24 (24 min)
Vegetarian nutrition fully supports elite athletic performance. A vegetarian diet based on non-injury provides complete nourishment. Properly prepared, it offers all necessary energy without burdening the body. The foundation is high-quality, organic ingredients. Whole grains like pasta provide sustained energy from complex carbohydrates. Tofu and legumes supply easily digestible protein for muscle development. Spices are essential medicines that enhance flavor, aid digestion, and improve nutrient absorption. Creativity in combining these elements is vital. Dairy products and healthy fats like olive oil and ghee complete the nutritional profile. This approach ensures athletes receive all required proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
"Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties; from some studies, it seems to be one of the most potent anticancer agents."
"Spices are truly medicines. Each spice has such a wide range of effects that simply by taking them, we can not only maintain our health but also significantly improve it."

Shivaratri Satsang with Vishwaguruji
3:30 - 4:05 (35 min)
We are the essence of Śiva, Śakti, and the Guru. From primordial space emerged three elements: space, air, and fire, associated with Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva. Śiva and Śakti are one unified power, with Śakti as the dynamic force and Śiva as the conscious principle, manifesting as duality within a single body. This power is in all things. The five elements—water, earth, fire, air, and space—are alive and conscious. Our individual ātmā is like a drop from the ocean of universal consciousness; we are never separate. Everyone is a guru, as a guru is one who imparts knowledge, from a parent to a teacher. All spiritual paths and rituals, like holy water, connect to this one power. Do not reject helpers like doctors, for we may need them. True knowledge unites the scientist and the spiritual guru.
"Śiva and Śakti, Śakti is the power, great, everything, and the other is that Śiva."
"We are all one, and we have one heart here and our ātmā here."

Yoga Nidra or bhajan singing is like meditation
4:10 - 5:25 (75 min)
The yogi's conscious sleep is a state of awakened rest known only to rare, accomplished beings. In this sleep, one remains inwardly aware, turning night into day. It is a sleep of alertness, not unconsciousness. This practice transcends ordinary relaxation, which is often misunderstood. Common yoga relaxation is mistakenly called the corpse pose, implying death. It should be understood as the bliss pose, representing fullness of life. The practice must be inclusive, free from sectarian symbols so all may benefit. True relaxation means being so profoundly at peace that no external disturbance, like a cobra crossing your path, can create inner agitation. The body rests, but consciousness remains luminous and awake.
"In that sleep, one remains awake and turns night into day."
"This sleep is known only to the rare, accomplished being."

Mala leads us to the Cosmic Self
5:30 - 6:14 (44 min)
The Mālā symbolizes the universal cycle binding all existence. Each bead contains immense cosmic power, representing all beings. The thread is the cycle of ages and elements, connecting every creature. Breaking this thread scatters the seeds, losing unity. All beings, from humans to mosquitoes, possess the same dormant divine fire within. This inner power is equal, whether in an ant or an elephant. The physical mala reflects this cosmic principle within the body, like breath and heartbeat. True practice aligns with this universal cycle, not mere counting.
"Each bead of the mala is immense with powers from the cosmic Self."
"Whether a little tiny fire or a big fire, it is the same."

Governing The Spiritual Light
6:15 - 6:59 (44 min)
The dawn of satsaṅg is the awakening of spiritual awareness within. Where devotees gather, divine energy is present, touching body, soul, and consciousness. This light needs no introduction. Human life itself is this dawn, ending the long night of ignorance spent in lower forms. The call is to awaken the sleeping senses and inner attention from their slumber. The indescribable light of Parabrahman destroys all karma and doubt, revealing one's immortal nature. An open heart, freed from locks of hatred and jealousy, naturally turns toward the positive. True satsaṅg is rare and precious, cultivating divine wisdom and removing narrow, conflicted thinking. Its glory is endless and immeasurable.

Repeat the name of Gurudev
7:55 - 8:22 (27 min)
The human birth is a rare and urgent opportunity. The scriptures and all aspects of existence point to a single imperative. The sole necessity is to fix the mind upon the Guru's name. This precious human form is exceedingly difficult to obtain again. One must become truly human in this very moment. By being steadfast in this practice, the vision of the true Self is attained. Do not waste this fleeting chance.
"Oh lamp of qualities, Hari, fix your mind on the Guru’s name. This opportunity will not come again; be human."

Bhajan singing in the presence of the Master
8:30 - 9:17 (47 min)
The sacred syllable Om is the primal vibration from which this three-qualitied illusion of the world is projected. From Om, all knowledge and the Vedas themselves emerged. The true knower, realizing this, finds bliss. The Guru's grace is essential for this realization. Without the Guru's guidance, one remains lost, not knowing what to do with worldly or spiritual wealth. The Guru's feet are the ultimate pilgrimage, praised by the Vedas and Purāṇas. The divine sound, Śabda, is the ultimate power; it does not kill but slays limitation. Through the Guru's arrival at the eternal door, the soul finds liberation.
"From Om, the three-qualitied Maya created this world."
"The Vedas and Purāṇas sing, 'Guru’s feet are the sacred pilgrimage.'"

Guru bhakta jagata me na rahe
9:25 - 10:08 (43 min)
The divine reality is one, formless, and present everywhere within all beings.
Rāma, meaning God or the Guru, lives in every heart. Inside and outside are the same vast oneness. The whole world resides within you. This reality is not born and does not die. It is completely fearless. It has no color, shape, or boundaries. It is indescribable and beyond name. Without the Guru, one cannot understand this truth. The devotee who realizes this has nothing to fear from the world.
"Looking up or looking down, I only have your darśan, and there is no need to go anywhere."

Pyare darashana diyo aj
10:15 - 10:18 (3 min)
The heart's agitation arises from separation and unfulfilled longing. This state is described as a profound inner turmoil. The eyes of the devotee, represented as the eyes of the cowherd and of the divine, do not grant the vision being sought. This absence of divine sight leads to restless days and sleepless nights. The longing itself becomes a form of sustenance, yet it cuts like a blade. The experience is one of yearning for a connection that feels withheld. The fragment captures the essence of devotional anguish.

10:55 - 11:52 (57 min)
The disciple's joy depends solely on the guru's grace. The guru's blessings are transmitted through a living master or the enduring spiritual presence of the lineage. A true disciple follows the Satguru without question, maintaining a dedicated personal practice. The physical lineage chair represents the eternal guru principle. Spiritual progress requires surrendering worldly attachments and mental fixations, as the story illustrates where avoiding a physical touch fostered a mental obsession. The goal is a merger where all distinctions dissolve. Practice regularly but without neglecting worldly duties.
"Many people may not understand. They think that if their guru is not physically present anymore, they must have some other guru."

Pollution
12:00 - 13:01 (61 min)
The five sheaths, from the physical to the bliss body, define our being and are shaped by our nourishment. The physical sheath, annamaya kośa, is formed from food. The energy sheath, prāṇamaya kośa, arises from that nourishment. The mental, wisdom, and bliss sheaths follow sequentially. What you consume determines your energy, mind, knowledge, and ultimate state. Modern habits have corrupted this natural order, replacing pure, sāttvic nourishment with harmful substances and actions, leading to disease and mental disturbance. A pure diet creates pure energy and a serene mind, guiding one toward true happiness. The path is obstructed by base desires and endless argument, which must be surrendered through attentive listening to divine guidance.
"Jaisā khāī annā, vaisā rahe man. What kind of nourishment or food you eat, like that will be your mind."
"Your nourishment, your energy, then your mentality, the mind."

Past is gone future is not here yet
13:05 - 13:49 (44 min)
The path is to be present, letting go of past and future.
You have practiced and received knowledge. Our way is to be relaxed and normal, not straining or focusing oddly. What we seek is to know the Self. We follow a given path but must understand it ourselves. We are human with knowledge, yet we do not know what comes after this life. Do not dwell on the past; it is gone like an exhale. We often live in memories or future thoughts, not in the present. Suffering in the present will not last. We must come into our heart and thoughts to be one. Forget the past; your future path will be good. What you have now is here; do not lose it by grasping for more.
"Do not meditate and concentrate on what is gone; learning is gone."
"The past is gone. The present is here. But you think, 'In the future, I will also get this.' But you will not get it."

The Purifying Path of Haṭha Yoga: An Introduction to Ṣaṭkarma
14:45 - 15:32 (47 min)
Haṭha Yoga's essence is the six purification techniques, or Ṣaṭkarma, for cleansing the body and balancing energy. Our polluted modern environment necessitates these natural cleansings using water, salt, and air. These practices purify the physical system and uniquely influence the vegetative nervous system, which is typically beyond our control. The goal is to balance the Iḍā and Piṅgalā energy channels, allowing the central Suṣumnā to flow. This mastery brings many benefits, fostering willpower and overcoming inertia. Regular purification, especially during seasonal changes, removes metabolic waste that causes illness and stagnation, keeping energy flowing. Specific techniques like Netī cleanse the nasal passages, while Agni Sāra and Naulī stoke the digestive fire. These are potent tools that require proper guidance from an experienced teacher regarding the correct method and timing.
"Haṭha Yoga is not only that we clean and purify our whole system, our whole body, but it also has a great, very great effect on our nervous system, especially the vegetative nervous system."
"When they are balanced, then the third one, the Suṣumnā Nāḍī, will start to flow."

Practice well
15:40 - 16:22 (42 min)
Haṭha Yoga is a supreme path requiring correct practice. The techniques of nauli and basti are essential for purifying the digestive system. A proper diet is foundational: eat vegetarian meals every five to six hours, leaving space in the stomach, and fast overnight. This physical purification supports the higher goal where the conscious self masters the body, not the reverse. True practice transcends mere physical techniques or brief study; it demands lifelong guidance from a genuine master. Theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient, like holding a speck of dust compared to the mountain of practical wisdom. The aim is complete independence, where one desires nothing, not even from the divine.
"Leave space for solid food, liquid food, and what we call liquid—also water. Give the stomach some empty space."
"If you want to give me something, then I wish you would just go away from here."

Yoga Nidra: The Yogi's Conscious Sleep
16:30 - 17:21 (51 min)
Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious sleep, a deep relaxation with full awareness. Prepare by finding a comfortable position to remain motionless. Begin by forming a Śaṅkalpa, a positive resolve for yourself and others, repeating it three times. Relax the body completely through a detailed scan from the toes to the crown of the head. Bring awareness to the breath, feeling the prāṇa flow in the abdomen, chest, and throat. Listen to the inner sound of the breath, so'ham. Conclude by reaffirming your Śaṅkalpa three times, then gradually return awareness to the body and the surroundings.
"Try to remain motionless throughout the entire practice, not moving, while at the same time staying awake and not falling asleep."
"Relax completely, but remain fully aware, conscious of the energy flow."

Our heart is very great
17:25 - 17:58 (33 min)
The primordial sound Oṁ connects all humanity through its varied pronunciations across traditions. Scriptures state the universe began with this sound. As it traveled, the vibration transformed into "Amen" and "Āmīn" in other faiths, revealing a universal connection. This symbol is a gift for all mankind.
A restless mind is like a monkey snatching a banana. The struggle continues as long as one holds on. The teaching is to let go. Place the banana down; the monkey takes it peacefully and calms down. Similarly, stop wrestling with thoughts. Surrender them. Practices like meditation and devotion slow the mind. A peaceful mind resides in the present, reducing stress and increasing bliss. True peace comes from surrendering all expectations to the Master.
"The easiest option is to let go, put it down, and allow the mind to become peaceful."
"Gurudev, you do what you are doing."

The real Guru is in oneness
18:05 - 19:06 (61 min)
Devotion is a singular reality, expressed through many names and forms. The genuine saint or deity does not demand exclusive worship, for the divine essence is one. All human distinctions of country, color, or language are ultimately irrelevant. We gather to sing and remember this unity, honoring the lineage of teachers who point toward it. Each moment of life is profoundly precious, like a bullet fired that cannot be recalled. Our vital energy, or prāṇa, is the very force of life and feeling within the body. To concentrate on this prāṇa is to connect with the divine source. The spiritual journey requires great purity, akin to walking a sharp edge. Our inner negativity can cause regression, while cultivating oneness leads toward merging with the infinite, like a drop returning to the ocean. All external religious forms are like different names for the same water; the essence is one.
"Because the real one is in oneness. If any God were to say, 'Do not worship this other God,' then neither is that God right, nor are you good for following such a command."
"Your heart should be my heart. Your mind should be my mind. Feelings must be my feelings, everything."

Dharma and Satsang
19:10 - 20:19 (69 min)
Dharma is one's essential duty. Each person has a specific role. The neighbor's path often seems easier, but shortcuts can lead to longer journeys. A sage repeatedly saved a drowning scorpion, accepting its stings. The sage's dharma was compassion; the scorpion's dharma was to sting. Both were performing their nature. Similarly, persist in your own duty without giving up, regardless of setbacks. Do not envy another's path. The story of Nārada teaches that ego leads to misunderstanding. He sought a form for personal desire and was taught a lesson. Reduce the "I" and learn from mistakes. Do not blame others or God. Follow your own heart with your guru's guidance and give your full dedication.
"My dharma as a sannyāsī is compassion to every single living being. So I’m doing my dharma by putting it out of the water... And the scorpion’s dharma is to sting when it feels danger."
"When he knows that this is not good for us, but our itch, our wish to have that certain thing is very high, he will still make that wish complete in another way that makes us realize that, okay, this path is not good for me."

The Pranas
20:25 - 21:09 (44 min)
The science of prāṇa and prāṇāyāma governs our health and vitality. Ten prāṇas, including Prāṇa and Apāna, sustain specific bodily functions. Specialized prāṇas operate the eyes, ears, heart, and liver. Prāṇa brings nourishment in, while Apāna expels waste; weak Apāna causes issues like constipation. Illness arises from blocked or improper prāṇa flow. Allopathic medicine, while vital for emergencies, often creates side-effects, damaging organs systematically. The superior path is practicing prāṇāyāma, āsanas, meditation, and a vegetarian diet to purify prāṇa. This regulates the Guṇas and Doṣas. Understand the ten prāṇas, respect dietary timing, and listen to your body's signals. Practical application, not just intellectual knowledge, is essential.
"For the eyes, the special prāṇa is that which sits in the eyelids and the visions."
"Prāṇa is that which comes into the body, putting all good qualities into it. Apāna is the pushing out of all the used energy."

We all will come to oneness
22:05 - 22:44 (39 min)
The oneness of service and the soul is our essential truth. Everyone is equal and should be included in practices like pūjā. Give all the opportunity to learn and participate. The altar holds God, so service there is for God. Maintain cleanliness and respect traditional considerations. We are one family, so provide for basic needs like food without emphasis on money. Daily work and satsaṅg are for everyone, like the sun shines for all. God provides for all creatures. At life's end, the soul returns to oneness, beyond religious labels. We originate from and return to the divine ocean like drops of water. Our inner life is God's life. Respect all beings and see the good within.
"One in all and all in one."
"The ocean is the ocean. We all will come in oneness, and we will come to the ocean again."

We are a part of God
22:50 - 0:00 (70 min)
Yoga is one unified path, though taught under many names. It extends far beyond physical postures to encompass the entire life force and consciousness. The practice integrates all aspects of nature, as seen in the 84 traditional āsanas inspired by animals and elements. This discipline is lifelong, like the breath itself, and aims to balance the body's five principles with nature. The ultimate goal is for the individual soul, or jīva, to realize its divine nature and ascend to the highest cosmic consciousness, ending the cycle of rebirth among the 8.4 million life forms. While worldly knowledge progresses outwardly, the yogi's path is an inward journey to the Self. All creatures possess the will to live, and humans must recognize the divine Ātmā within themselves and all beings, moving from identifying with the limited drop to merging with the boundless ocean.
"Yoga is not only physical, for the physical body, or just breath and concentration, etc. Yoga is very far-reaching."
"Your soul, your ātmā in you is your God."
