The path is obstructed by base desires and endless argument, which must be surrendered through attentive listening to divine guidance.

Avoid excessive bending in the lumbar area; focus the bend in the thoracic part. Follow with relaxation and pavanamuktāsana to release lower back tension. Sarvāṅgāsana benefits peripheral circulation and balances thyroid function, but avoid it with hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, or during menstruation. It improves circulation to the head and allows a subtle exhalation. Its counterpose is bhuḍaṅgāsana, which stretches the front and strengthens the arms; bend in the chest area, not the most flexible part. Halāsana stretches the back and affects the neck, emphasizing exhalation. Matsyāsana opens the chest, works on the thyroid and breathing, and is performed with inhalation through the nose and exhalation through the mouth. A one-legged balance pose aids concentration and nervous stability. Ardha Matsyendrāsana regenerates the spine and has anti-inflammatory properties. An inverted posture improves circulation to the head and spiritual development. Conclude with Tāḍāsana and Prāṇāyāma. Bhastrikā Prāṇāyāma intensifies the digestive fire and burns waste; relax the abdomen and let breath flow spontaneously without forcing inhalation. Today we prepare gāṭṭā kadhi, a dish from the Marwa region. The gāṭṭā is a dough made from chickpea flour, yoghurt, salt, turmeric, chilli, and optional ginger and cumin. Mix it only with yoghurt to avoid a soft dough. The sticky dough is like worldly attachment; using oil on your hands is like using the oil of wisdom to handle it. Roll the oiled dough into thin pieces and boil them for 10-15 minutes. Test doneness by seeing if a piece breaks when pulled. Cut the cooked gāṭṭā and add it to the kadhi to cook further. Serve with chapati and a vegetable dish like bitter gourd. For chapati, make dough soft as an earlobe, roll it round without wrinkles, and cook it on proper heat until it puffs up. Ajwain in the dough is healthy. Marwa cuisine uses local, natural ingredients.

Yoga Nidra or bhajan singing is like meditation

The yogi's conscious sleep is a state of awakened rest known only to rare, accomplished beings. In this sleep, one remains inwardly aware, turning night into day. It is a sleep of alertness, not unconsciousness. This practice transcends ordinary relaxation, which is often misunderstood. Common yoga relaxation is mistakenly called the corpse pose, implying death. It should be understood as the bliss pose, representing fullness of life. The practice must be inclusive, free from sectarian symbols so all may benefit. True relaxation means being so profoundly at peace that no external disturbance, like a cobra crossing your path, can create inner agitation. The body rests, but consciousness remains luminous and awake.
