Meditation to Overcome the Three Tapas with the Mantra Oṁ Prabhu Dīp Nirañjan

Meditation to Overcome the Three Tapas with the Mantra Oṁ Prabhu Dīp Nirañjan

The three tapas—Ādhibhautik, Ādhidaivik, Ādhyātmik—are troubles from physical beings, diseases, and astral disturbances. They arise from āsurī śaktis, dark energies. The mantra Oṁ Prabhu Dīp Nirañjan Sab Dukha Bhañjan purifies these tapas and their sin. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and scan the body for painful areas. That pain is negative energy. Imagine a bright sun and invite its light into the spot. Mentally repeat Oṁ Śoham Deveśvar Mahādevāya Namaḥ to open the door. Then repeat the main mantra eleven times like a healing balm. Inhale the first half, drawing light into the pain; exhale the second half, expelling negativity. Now see your body as transparent, ten meters away. Observe grey smoke leaving as light and cosmic prāṇa enter with sound. Chant Oṁ twenty-seven times, feeling the light penetrate. Rub palms, place them on your face, and open your eyes. Practice twice a week or during misery. This meditation purifies and heals.

“Tinoyī Tāp Pāp Mitjāve, Avichal Sukh Pāve Paramananda.”

“Oṁ Prabhu Dīp Nirañjan, Sab Dukha Bhañjan.”

Param Samrāṭ, Satguru, Svāmī Madhavānandajī, Bhagavānakī, Satya, Sanātana, Brahmā, Keśaya. Good evening to everybody. Blessings from our holy Siddha Pīṭha, Alakhpurījī Siddha Pīṭha. This evening, we will have a special meditation. Our one‑week retreat has been running on how to solve certain problems. There are some problems we call the three tapas. “Three” means three, and “tapa” means fire; here, fire means troubles. This entire planet stands under these three kinds of troubles, these three tapas. These three tapas are connected to the āsurī śaktis — asuras, you could say negative energy, devils, or what are called satans. Asura is the opposite of deva, of Śūr. Śūr means a hero, a good person; Śūr also means the sun, the light. Aśūr is the opposite of light: darkness, dark power, dark energy. The three tapas are Ādhibhautik, Ādhidaivik, and Ādhyātmik. Gurujī writes in the bhajan that all the sins of these three tapas can be purified — will be purified — through the practice of this mantra. And so, Gurujī is saying in this bhajan: Tinoyī Tāp Pāp Mitjāve, Tinoyī Tāp Pāp Avichala Sukh Pāve, Paramananda. This mantra is: Oṁ Prabhu Dīp Nirañjan, Sab Dukha Bhañjan. Oṁ is the universal sound, the origin, the cosmic sound. Prabhu is the protector — those who incarnate on this Bhūmaṇḍala, our earth planet, our earth, bhūmi. Dīp is that light of God, divine light. Nirañjan is pure, spotless, transparent. Sab means all, and Dukha is troubles. Bhañjan means to remove, to free, to take away, to solve the problems. This mantra has been researched for many, many years, and not only thousands but millions of people have solved their problems and fulfilled their wishes. Tinoī Tāp — these three troubles — and Pāp means sin. So Tinoyī Tāp Pāp Mitjāve: all these three tāpas and the sin will be removed, completely rooted out. Avichal Sukh Pāve Paramananda: Avichal — “chala” means movement, changeable, not permanent; avichal is not movable, steady, everlasting, the reality, the truth. Avichal Sukh Pāve: you realize that happiness which will be unchangeable, which will always be happiness. Parama Ānanda: Param is the supreme, Ānanda is bliss. So you will realize that divine bliss if you practice this mantra during meditation. These three tapas are: the troubles from physical beings — humans, animals, insects, wild animals and so on; then diseases — physical, mental, emotional, psychic diseases; and then those from astral beings. There are some spirits that also sometimes say, “Ancestors, you have not done your duty. The ancestors are not happy,” or what we call some spirits that come without your knowing and constantly disturb. You try day and night to do good things, and at the last minute everything goes wrong. You have some appointment, you have some job, you have something, and suddenly again, it’s nothing. It means there is always an obstacle. Problems arise between two persons. When they see that these two persons are very happy and love each other very much, Sūrya Śakti comes between them, and suddenly unnecessary quarreling comes, conflict comes. So these three tapas, systematically, can be helped only with those energies that can reach that astral level — and that is the power of a good mantra. The entire world is suffering from these three tapas, and we also have these problems with these three tapas. They are all the time waiting. Let’s say that it is raining and you have an umbrella; you are protected from the rain. But as soon as you take the umbrella away, you will be wet. So these three tapas, they are all waiting. Therefore, we must be under the shelter, the umbrella of the Gurudev, with the protection of the mantra that is given. Now, in this meditation, we will concentrate on particular parts of our body, particular organs of the body, and particular feelings in the body. Particular problems which are not physical, but are more painful and dangerous than physical problems. We shall work with this mantra, and let us see how it will function. So, this meditation is to remove certain problems with the mantras — different mantras, different energy, different imaginations. Sit in meditation, take your mantra mālā, and make yourself comfortable. Be comfortable, be relaxed, to become more aware of your being here, and to find thyself within thy phenomenon in your own room. With closed eyes, the space which you see is yours. You are existing in this space, and for that we will chant three times Oṁ. During the Oṁ chanting, imagine that your inner space, your space, is enlightening. Deep inhale. Inhale for being here. Feel your physical body. Relax and feel the body, from the toes to the top of the head. From the top of the head to the toes, just relax. Try to check your body like you are looking at an x‑ray — at your whole body’s x‑ray, you see the whole anatomy, joints, bones. Try to feel your muscles, nerve systems, organs, the heart, the kidneys, at this time. With all the nerve systems in different parts of the body are the glands. Like you see on the plant of the peanut — when you pull the plant out, on every root, the peanuts are hanging. Similarly, all your glands in the body and your chakras are part of your physical being. Now you know very well which part of the body, or which limbs of the body — the physical parts — are hurting or painful or ill, or have some difficulties, from the toes to the top of the head. You see your entire body like an x‑ray, and you are going with the light, and you stop at the physical trouble there. Maybe your knees or your ankle joints, your veins or muscles, your hip joints, thigh muscles, anywhere pain in the trunk of the body, back pain, neck or head, eye problems, ear problems, nose problems. Shoulders, arms, elbows, palms, and fingers. You know where you have troubles. You find the place where the problem is. And now find out which nerves are occupied there, or which muscles, or which gland, and to where these glands and nerves are connected. Try to find the beginning, the source of this pain. If you can’t find it, just remember the spot where you have the pain. Definitely, this is the negative energy, the āsurī śaktis. Imagine a bright sun, bright sunlight, and you pray, you request this light to enter into your body, especially into that part of the body where you feel the pain. It will take time, but you will be successful. You will get this light, and you will be able to heal this problem, the light. We connect this prayer to that great divine light which represents the sun. Mentally, you repeat with me and concentrate on this light, praying to this light to enter your body to heal this pain. Repeat with me mentally, not loudly, mentally. Imagine that you have your hands folded. Just imagine. You see the light. Prayer, mantra. Oṁ Śoham Deveśvar Mahādevāya Namaḥ. Yes, it opens a door for you. Enter into the light, and you open also the door to let the light come in. Oṁ Śoham Śrī Deveśvar Mahādevāyi Namaḥ. Yes, the light begins to flow. The light begins to radiate in your body. Keep on repeating with me. Very relaxed. Don’t be in a hurry. But invite the light. Give the invitation to this light. Accept. Accept the light. So the āsurī śaktis in the form of pain, in the form of disease, disappear. You will repeat mentally and observe the flow of the light. Ohaṃ Viśva Mahādeva. Facing towards the sun is a too‑bright light. Your eyelids are closed, but the light is shining. It comes to you, and you feel the warmth in that particular part of the body. And now light is there, energy is there, asking you, “What do you want? What do you want? What would you invite me to do?” And therefore, mentally repeat eleven times: Oṁ Prabhudīp Nirañjan Śabdūkha Bhañjan. This is like a balsam, a remedy, an ointment. You are applying it in the form of light on that particular painful part of the body. Feel the release of the pain. Inhaling Om Prabhudīp Nirañjan, and you are inhaling this light energy to that particular part of the body. And while exhaling, imagine that negative energy, negative prāṇa, and toxins from the body are exhaled while repeating the second part of the mantra, Sab Dukha Bhañjan. Inhalation, half mantra, take the energy in: Om Prabhudīp Nirañjan. Exhalation, half mantra: Sab Dukha Bhañjan. Oṁ Sohaṁ Śrī Deviśvara Mahādevāya Namaḥ. Oṁ Sohaṁ while inhaling, and it is Devpurījī’s energy, the sunlight, which removes all the negative energy, darkness. Deviśvara Mahādevāya Namaḥ — I bow down to thee, O Lord, for Your divine energy. Oṁ Prabhudīp Nirañjan — energy is flowing in the body. Sab Dukha Bhañjan — exhaling, energy is going off. In the second part of this meditation, now imagine again the inner space, Cidākāśa. And imagine that you are sitting in that space, your body is like a transparent x‑ray, and you create the resonance, devī śakti, divine power, in the whole body, and you are observing from about 10 meters away, sitting far away from your body, and you observe how the dark light, like a grey light, like smoke, is going out, and the light enters with the cosmic prāṇa, with that nāda, with that sound. We will chant all together twenty‑seven times Oṁ. Not too loud and not too slow, and also not too long and not too short. Create a beautiful resonance, we all together. During the chanting, you will see the light penetrate through your body. Though you see your body is 10 meters far from you, sitting, the feelings are with you. You feel the body. Chant with me. Continue chanting. Don’t be absent. Be present. See your body in your Cidākāśa. Slowly rub your palms, then place your hands on your face. Open your eyes. Hari Om. Hari Om. This meditation, at least you should do twice a week. It will purify negative energies from the body, and it will help you to overcome certain problems. I am sure it will be a healing process for your body. At least twice a week, or whenever you feel unhappy, in pain, or in what people call miserable situations, then you should do this meditation. Put your cassette or CD player on, put on a headset, and sit. You will see how it is improving your qualities. And the next part of the meditation we will do tomorrow. Now I wish you all the best, and good night. Dīp Nān Bhagavānakī, Deveśvara Madhevā, Mādhava Kṛṣṇa Bhagavānakī, Sanātana Bhagavānakī, Hari Om.
