Swamijis morning lecture, London, 4th of September

Meditation is the practical technique to reach a level of consciousness where the seeds of past karma can be burned. Our actions in this life yield their fruits as destiny, which are reactions we must experience. If we cannot properly address these karmic fruits, they will return. The practice involves discipline and austerity to purify these influences. It aims to provide peace of mind, reduce daily stress, and foster self-understanding. Through this, we learn to judge ourselves and comprehend life's meaning. Ultimately, it cultivates a fundamental love and care for all.

"The cause is somewhere in the past, and so the cause is the result."

"Meditation is that practice technique that enables us to reach the level of that consciousness where the seeds... can be burned."

Purījī, Purījī... This should be explained to us. So, meditation is theory, and theory is meditation. Use the theory. Yesterday, I explained meditation according to the chakras. Who was there yesterday? It concerns a different level of consciousness: conscious, conscious... cosmic conscious. This chakra, destiny, destiny, kishmat, the Ājñā is from this life. In this life, seeds from this year—what trees have given—they fall. Those seeds will sprout. Similarly, they will sprout in this life. This means now, this. This means, in a very subtle way, the influence of the senses and so on, the forces in us, compel us to do something. The good or bad we did in this life, we will get. What we did in this life, we will get in this life. What we get, we can say, is our destiny—the fruits of our actions. You work the whole day, and in the evening you will get your money paid. Some reaction will come. Good action can bring a good reaction, and bad action can bring a bad reaction. The cause is somewhere in the past, and so the cause is the result. The fruits which we will get last depend on the motivation that we have to treat. If we can’t treat those, it will come again and again. New streams will come. So, the meditation. Meditation is that practice technique that enables us to reach the level of that consciousness where the seeds from the pipes—it is said, yoga agni of yoga. This means that the seeds of karma can be burned, Agni, seeds of the past, lives of the destinies can be. We have some seeds, and we put on the fan, austerity, discipline. That is a practice, is the technique that we are all trying to live. Kiśmat is the Svādhiṣṭhāna Cakra from this life. Yesterday it was explained that the present consciousness is at the Ājñā Cakra. So these are the three chakras. Meditation, two every day. Now we will do a meditation technique. So, meditation we will do, first of all, for getting peace of mind; second, for getting rid of the daily stress. Understand? Better understand ourselves, others. Fifth, we understand what life means. Judge yourself. We judge someone about ourselves completely. How should we know someone? Therefore, with love we create all humans, but all is said to be a kind of love, a kind of love we call mercy, what we call kindness, what we call a mother caring for her child. So, that is the love. We do care about other things, too. So, minutes, it is already 12. Okay, so we have to sit in meditation. We do some postures so that you can sit better. Khattu Pranam. Who knows the Khattu Pranam? Nobody knows. Then, sit in Vajrāsana. There are some yoga mats, please. Inside some yoga mats, give it to Kamal. Okay, sit in Vajrāsana. Āśram. Self muscles are stretching. Elbows straight. Try to touch your upper arms to your ears. Nineteen, no? Did I miss the number? Twenty. Looking at the little baby, I missed the number. Open your eyes. Straighten your shoulders. Siddha Purījī, Siddha Purījī,... Touching together, touching your knees easier, discomfitation, knee time chanting.
