Swamijis morning Satsang from Umag, Croatia, 27th of September
Morning meditation by the sea reveals the ocean’s holiness.
All rivers flow into the ocean, carrying holy dust from saints' feet across all lands and times. The ocean holds many divine powers and consciousnesses. Silently repeat a personal wish or pray for forgiveness. After breakfast, no āsanas; sit in meditation posture. Practice Ujjāyī Prāṇāyāma: inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth. Feel the fresh, pure air. Be aware of the body relaxed on this Adriatic coast beach. Mentally repeat the mantra. This combined meditation and prāṇāyāma is anti-stress, stabilizing blood pressure. Now breathe normally through the nose. Chant the mantra: “asato mā sad gamaya, tamaso mā jyotir gamaya, mṛtyor mā amṛtaṁ gamaya.” Stretch fingers, head, rub palms, place hands on the face, open eyes. The wind and rain came after meditation; emotions were left in the sea. There is double shelter: Gurudeva and modern technology. Nature’s sound is never disturbing; man-made sound is disturbing.
“All the rivers carry the holy dust from the feet of those saints. All of that enters into the ocean. Therefore, the ocean is one of the holiest waters.”
“The sound of nature is never disturbing, and man-made sound is more disturbing.”
