Swamijis public lecture in Poprad, Slovakia
Yoga is the science of body, mind, consciousness, and soul. The individual self is a part of the Universal One, like a wave is part of the ocean. Human life is given to realize this oneness and return to our origin, the Cosmic Self. This journey ends all suffering. Belief alone is insufficient; practice is essential. Good health is the foundation for this work. Meditation is the practical method to realize the Self and overcome stress.
The path has three steps. First is silence, which creates inner strength and peace. Second is repeating the name of God, or a mantra. Third is surrendering the self. These three unite the individual with the universal. One may begin simply by observing the breath in silence. Through consistent practice, one dissolves duality and realizes the single truth.
"The liquid does not matter in which form that liquid is; it originated from the ocean. Similarly, it does not matter which kind of creature exists on this planet or in different parts of the universe; they are all part of the Universal One."
"Where are we going? From where did I come? Who am I? And where am I going? And what am I doing? These questions need a practical answer, not theory."
