Swamijis morning lecture from Humenne, SK

Yoga in Daily Life unites hearts and serves as a bridge for peace.

The practice extends beyond postures and breath. It is a system developed for human anatomy and all traditions. It supports ethical education and environmental care. Practitioners become messengers of peace, embracing neighbors with love and understanding. The practice cultivates humbleness, removes stress, and fosters positive thinking. One must forgive the past and step forward with high vision to serve. Every positive thought and action grows like a seed into a large tree, embracing the earth with love. Nothing done in this spirit is in vain.

"Let me be the instrument of your love and light to serve thy divine creation."

"Love each and every entity. If not more, then at least that much, as much as you love thyself."

Good morning to everybody. How are you? Good. You look a little cold. That’s not a good sign. The yogīs should always feel warm. Don’t make so many blankets and jackets. What is that? Throw it away. Put your jacket out. Sit in Vajrāsana, Kaṭhūparṇam. Spoil people. Yes, come on, Vajrāsana. This morning we planted a beautiful peace tree in Humenné, the last city before the borders of Ukraine, Russia, and Poland. In the beautiful castle, and with the respected mayor of the city, the park around the castle is also known as a peace park, and there the peace tree is something beautiful. So it was nice, and thank you for your participation. We had a nice walk through the pedestrian street in the middle of the city. In the afternoon, you can go and see; there are many things that are very nice from the village’s side. Cultural and farmer markets, and like this. There’s also a children’s market, like a Christmas market, and may you find something good for your Christmas presents for your families, so you can go shopping. Of course, the supermarket is different. But you should go to the small shops and some typical cultural, historical things from this part of the country, Slovakia. Also, they have very famous Slovakian cheese. You know, so there are many nice things. Of course, they have the wine, but that we don’t buy. The city was beautiful. So, number one, and so, Yoga in Daily Life is not only that we just practice āsanas and prāṇāyāmas, but to unite the hearts of the people. So you became a bridge, and you know, there was a light. It’s called the light of peace, and the tree is a peace tree. Now, the tree grows like all of you have your hands up like this. So you are a peace flame, and you are a peace tree. Now the wind is blowing to the left side, your left side, and the right side. Oh my God, the tree is so harmonized, flexible. Very good. Go ahead. And now the tree is expanding its branches, and now do like this. Very good. Yes. Oh, beautiful. Trees are getting fruits, and branches are going down. Go ahead. So, Yoga in Daily Life is the system which was developed very carefully according to human anatomy. So it has been tolerated: all the anatomies, physiology, psychology, mentality, and culture of the different countries. Why is the tree getting tired? Hey, the tree is energy. And also, that every belief, every tradition, can practice yoga in their life. Very good. Our satsaṅg again, the peace flame, Jīvanjyoti. And now the tree is moving in a different direction. Very good. Yes. Oh, just moving. That means the humbleness. That means the surrendering. That means accepting. That means the peace is welcomed. You know, I greet you. I bow down to you. I welcome you. Now, palms are going like this, down, down. Beautiful. So also, Yoga in Daily Life is supporting the education, ethical education. That’s very important. It has a lot of things to offer to the young generation through ethical education. And also, we are supporting environmental activities. And again, the peace flame. Oh, beautiful. Beautiful. You are the messenger of peace. And, you know, we open up a little bit. And, of course, we love our neighbors. We look to our neighbors and say, "Hello." Yes, right and left. Love your neighbor. Yes, we do. We acknowledge our neighbors. Yes, that’s very good. Yoga in their life is not one-sided. It takes with all. Very good. Go ahead. How beautiful. Very nice. And that is, of course, our flame of peace. Oṃ Dīp Jyoti. Chant Om Dīp Jyoti. Om Dīpa Jyoti Namaha. Om Dīpa Jyoti Parabrahma. Dīpam Sarve Mohanam. Dīpanam Sajjate Sarvam. Sandhyā Dīpam Sarvasatyam. Śubham Karoti Kalyāṇam. Sing, continue. And we bow down. Number two, Kaṭhūparṇam. Position two, Kaṭhūparṇam. Yes. Correctly. Elbows on the ground. Forehead on the ground. Lord, forgive all my mistakes. Bless me with good health. Bless me with harmony and peace, with love and mutual understanding. Let me be the light in darkness, and let me be the bridge. Heart to heart. Wherever I come, may I bring this divine light to enlighten the hearts of all. Let me be the instrument of your love and light to serve thy divine creation. Let me stretch as a bridge from heart to heart, culture to culture, country to country, and tradition to tradition. Lord, let me be thy instrument. Three. Your beautiful bridge, yes, you are uniting. Be strong, be solid, that’s it. Kāṭhūprāṇām, it is that exercise, or that posture’s combination of the particular postures, strengthens our body. It improves the immunity in the body. It creates the humbleness, and it gives the peace of the mind. It removes the stress of the day, and now four, that’s beautiful. That’s it. We will always look to our future. We will all forget the past. We forgive, and we will forget. Past is past. Don’t cry for the past. Don’t suffer with your thoughts of the past. Let your past memory be just gone. Have a vision for the future. High visions. High goals. To love. To unite. To understand, to forgive, that’s it. High like a mountain. Solid. Five, and let flow the fresh blood towards your head. That mountain doesn’t keep water for itself; all flows down automatically. Similarly, also the good qualities and your blood flows towards the head. The head is that which has... All the jñānendriyas are located, and the jñānendriyas get very good nourishment with positive thinking. As soon as you think positive, the vibration in the blood becomes positive. It’s beautiful. With such positive thinking and solid saṅkalpa, we make this step. Forward six, how beautiful is the step towards peace, the step towards harmony, and the step towards good health. Yes, we come forward. We are not afraid. We will ever and ever work for all. Always be ready to make a step towards helping all. That’s very important. Yes. Our steps, our work in the name of God, in the name of beauty, in the name of forgiveness, and in the name of humbleness, we will reach our highest target, and therefore, number seven. That’s it. Highest number. Oh, beautiful. You see? Your chest is stretched. You know? You are not afraid. You are like a hero. Yes, that’s it. And let us be like a flame and humbleness. We bow down at eight and completely to nine. That’s it. Nine is very, very beautiful, stretching everything. Offering all your energies to protect this beautiful planet. It doesn’t matter how high we will go. We will be in touch with our Divine Mother Earth. Feel the solid ground under your feet and greet Divine Mother Earth, and take the Divine energy from the Divine Mother, and we bring this to the entire universe. Ten, oh, very nice. Take off, levitate. Oh, we have still a long distance, but we will. Stretch very nice, but without the help of the Divine Mother and God, it will not be possible for us. And so, Mother, now are the days of the Divine Mother’s Navarātrī. And so we again come and touch the Divine Mother. Very good. With this kind of feeling, with solid saṅkalpas, you will achieve everything. Our Gurudev, Devapurījī, said that a very tiny seed of a tree, a tiny seed, takes time to grow into a large tree, but it will definitely grow. Similarly, whatever you do in your life, everything will one day become that large tree. Which branches will embrace the entire earth? Those are the branches of your love, your work as a piece. Nothing will be in vain. Nothing will go lost. Every thought will come back. And every step will be counted: twelve. So, you like it? Yes. But why do you feel? Why are you like a tire? Why are you tired? You have so much energy. Smile. Press your hips down. Stretch your shoulders. Expand your chest. Look up. Always have high vision. Let your back muscles contract. Feel the spine. All the stiffness releases. Very beautiful. Now, which number? I’ve forgotten. Thirteen. Oh, thirteen. Yes, now you are stretching. That’s it. That’s what I wanted. You look beautiful. You know, you look like a Christian moon. Like a new moon. Yes. I got today one medal from the city hall by the mayor of the city with the key of the city. With the solid, strong hands, so this key is on the strong hands, and the beautiful moon is symbolizing that you can spend a peaceful night in our city, when the moon and the stars... Yesterday we had a peaceful night, no? Yes, except a little alcohol was singing on the street. That belongs to the modern civilization. So, fourteen? Yes. Look, there is that human, the symbol. That’s it. So that was about it. You see, my hand is also very strong. So 14, then 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 1. Very beautiful. Yes. And now, again, branches are coming to the neighbor’s side. And you are singing, happy with your neighbors. The peace tree is now grown, singing and nicely moving. Wait a moment. Fast left. Left. Tady left. Right. Do pravá. And beautiful, the flame of life, the flame of joy. Beautiful. Two. Relax. Relax the shoulders. Feel in your body humbleness. Feel your heart surrendering. No negative thoughts. You know tolerance, respect, forgiveness, and understanding. Don’t blame; try to understand the person. Mahāprabhujī said, "Love each and every entity." If not more, then at least that much, as much as you love thyself. Do you love others like that? Or how many negative thoughts do you have? How many negative arguments do you have towards someone? Even one is negative. You should not be negative. Mahatma Gandhi said beautifully, "We hate the sin, not the sinner." Did you ever try to understand this? This is a complete surrendering posture. And you feel so comfortable and warm. And protected. It’s just like a posture in the womb of the mother. Yes. Bring your hands on the back. Oh, more beautiful. That’s very good. Now, deep inhale and exhale. Again, hands in the front. Khaṭūprā Nām number three. Number four. Number five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Four. Fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty. Dobre. Very well. Relaxed. So, now sit in meditation posture, okay? Now we do mild bastrika. Twenty times with the left nostril, twenty times with the right one, twenty times with both. From the abdominal muscles. Expansion, contraction from the abdomen. 20 times. Then change the nostril from left to right. Then with both, that’s one round. For half a minute or one minute, rest. Then again begin. Five rounds after this round. Take your mala in your hand and repeat your mantra. Keep your eyes closed, sit straight upright, and relax the whole body. Be aware of your being here in this hall. Physically and mentally relax the whole body from the toes to the top of the head, and from the top of the head to the toes. Relax, no tensions at all. Physically or mentally, feel yourself being in this hall. You are relaxed, comfortable, and you feel happy. Repeat your mantra. The whole body, from the toes till the top of the head. And from the top of the head to the toes. From the top of the head to the toes. Relax. Fully relax. I know that I’m inhaling. And I know that I’m exhaling. I know that I am breathing. Yes. Feel your inhalation. And exhalation. Do not change the breath rhythm. Let it flow; your breath is as natural as it is. Do not move your body. Repeat the mantra. Time of inhalation. Your body is inhaling prāṇa śakti, the prāṇa, the life force, and at the time of the exhalation, your body is exhaling all the kinds of toxins, so you feel relaxed. Feel energy, and you feel warmth. Relax. I know that I am inhaling. My body is recharging with cosmic prāṇa. And I know that I am exhaling. I feel the purification. Feel very light, relaxed. Extrovert yourself in the outer world. Physically feel your breath once more. Feel your whole body. Three times deep inhale and exhale. Deep inhale and chant OM. Close your fists. Open the palms. Close the fists. Open the palms. Close the feet. Open the palms. Stretch your hands and your shoulders, and slowly bring your palms together. Rub your palms, and place the palms on the face. Feel the energy from your palms on the face. Open your eyes. Adiom, put your mala on your nape and slowly bow down. Touch your head to the floor, hands, palms on the face. Touching the ground, and forehead also touching the ground. Feel the blood circulation towards the head. It’s very good for your eyes, for your ears, and for your memory. With the help of the hands, slowly come up. Advenite. Hari Om. Hari Om.
