Swamijis morning Satsang from Vep, Hungary

Meditation is the path to clarity and divine connection. Begin by relaxing the body completely and observing the breath. This practice harmonizes daily stress and prepares consciousness for divine will. Specific breathing techniques regulate bodily systems. The ultimate aim of life is to be with the Lord through meditation and mantra, which yields increasing happiness unlike worldly pursuits. Service, or seva, is equally vital, manifesting as selfless action like that seen in sacred spaces. Prayer creates a collective energy that brings help and connection. One can always directly pray and be heard.

"Holy Gurujī, fortunate are they, blessed are they, lucky are they, who can just sit and meditate and repeat mantra, practice mantra, Gurudev kā nām, nāma smaraṇa, that will fulfill the aim of life."

"Deen Bandhu Deen Anāth, merī dorī tere hāth. O Lord of the meek, the string or the thread of my life is in your hands."

Relax your whole body. Relax from the toes to the top of the head, and from the top of the head to the toes. Observe your breath from navel to throat and from throat to navel—ascending and descending breath consciousness. Know that you are inhaling, and know that you are exhaling. Be emotionally relaxed. Now, you can put your mala around your neck and rub your palms. Place your hands on your face, warm the facial muscles, open your eyes, and bend forward. Bow down until your forehead is touching the ground, with your hands on the floor. Feel the circulation towards the face and head, and slowly raise the body up. Meditation is the best answer to any of your questions. It is the best way to create clarity with thyself and the world. Meditation is a protection against all negative energies and negative actions. Meditation is self-analyzing. Only you know what you wish. Only you know what problems you have. All you know is how you feel physically: comfortable, relaxed, ill, in pain, thirsty, hungry, tired, and so on. Meditation is the best analysis. That’s why morning and evening meditation is advised. The whole day’s stress, restlessness, and unpleasant situations can be harmonized or removed through your meditation. Morning meditation will clarify your feelings, your dreams, and your sleep. It will prepare your consciousness, your intellect, and your body to act according to the divine will all day. When we inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth, this technique of prāṇāyāma releases tensions. It can even bring your blood pressure down if you have high blood pressure. If you have low blood pressure, then you do this prāṇāyāma with a little deeper inhalation. Then you hold a little breath and exhale. You supply more oxygen, and you are capable of exhaling more toxins from the body. So meditation is to be with thyself and be one with God. Your imagination or your visions become one with you. We have to take the time to serve God, or we have to take the time to serve ourselves. Gurujī used to say, "Holy Gurujī, fortunate are they, blessed are they, lucky are they, who can just sit and meditate and repeat mantra, practice mantra, Gurudev kā nām, nāma smaraṇa, that will fulfill the aim of life." For this we came, and human life is given for this. The rest is a struggle for life, which we also have to do: earning our bread and butter, this and that, to run the world—arguments, bargainings, fightings, making friends, working. That is… Somehow we need this existence for ourselves. But Jīvan Kā Lakṣya, the aim of life is to be with the Lord, to meditate, and to chant mantra. That happiness which you get through this, you will get nowhere in the world and with nothing else. Everything that you think makes you happy will, after a while, change. But the happiness which you get through meditation, mantra, and Iṣṭa Devatā, that will day by day increase. And therefore, meditation is very important. Now it’s time for another bite, like it’s already dinner time or lunch time. But we still have 20 minutes to wait because the kitchen is still carrying the pots. Any questions you can ask? Chai, we got again beautiful Gaṅgā, Jñāna Gaṅgā, Jñānārṇava Dabharahe Satgurusham. Yes, and we have also a very big surprise, Chichhi, not Chichhi, Kṛṣṇānanda. Oh my God, Karma. Are we afraid of Karma? Yeah, no. Aha, Vivekacūḍāmaṇi, Laghu Yogavāsiṣṭha, I don’t know, Mahākāvya, the original language is Ādi Guru Śaṅkarācārya. They are good. Cidānanda Rūpaḥ Śivo’ham, Śivo’ham. Cidānanda is sitting here only. Karma, Ekam Eva Advitīyam Brahma, Gen Vedes. Okay, I don’t know if I pronounce it exactly like you speak Hindi, but this is very good. Falahārī, that I can understand. That’s very good. Recepte, good fruits, good eating. Mi A Feni, what is a Mi A Feni? What is right? Light. Haṭha Yoga. Oh, Mahāprabhujī is sitting here. And Mahāprabhujī is saying, "Māyā eṣī līlā." Māyā eslilā, Mahāprabhujī, Praśim. And then he is here sitting, Śiva. Oh, Śiva Saṁhitā. From Śiva Saṁhitā. S. Ules, L.V. I don’t know, but here is sitting our Chitrapurī. When he has to practice āsanas, then he looks like this. When he’s sitting, then he’s smiling. Look. And very nice, Mantra Japa, a nice picture in Nepal Ashram from Chandan Lālji. Very nice. Thank you, very nice. Gyān Gaṅgā, very nice magazine, yoga magazine. I think this should improve more and more. And you know, you also have more readers who can be ex-Yugoslavian, no? More than Hungarian. So, you should now write in two languages, okay? In the same, half part this and half part that, okay? Yes, then there is something very beautiful, you know. One has to, there are some people who learn child psychology. Do you know child psychology? The mother knows everything. And the father knows that I don’t need to know because my wife knows everything. No? Yes. When the dress has a spot like this, the husband said, "Don’t worry, my wife will clean it nicely." Thanks to God, that wife is at home. Without a wife, you know how a house looks? Or, without ladies, how does the apartment look? I mean, I’m not against the men, neither against the ladies. But reality is this: where there is only one man living alone, go and see that apartment. Śrī Śrī... Vienna Ashram in Australia, but still they think Swamiji has nothing enough to build, so now they give me this toy to build an ashram because they said, "Swamiji, you must exactly design." So yes, now I have to build the house again to learn. It is a very nice wooden toy, completely clean wood without any chemicals, and like this. And surprising was this: we gave them to the small children, and without asking anything. New job, architect, very nice, mosque, nice mosque. You can build also a mosque, and you put the Shiva, Trishul up, it is a Shiva temple. And you put the cross up, it is a Christian temple. Church name is very new, you know. It was the temple, the real name is temple. Thank you. Yes, this is also when I go to Australia. I will fly from San Francisco to Oakland, 14 hours in an aeroplane. What will I do? Yes, people will see what kind of yogī this is. Yes, I have a business class, a little bigger place, so I will sit down there and put it together. Thank you. Yeah, 14 hours. You know, how much is the 14 hours? My God, it’s all the time in the sky, and you cross twice nearly the time. Thank you. Good present. Is it available here? In Gaṇeśa’s shop. Gaṇeśa is creative, or Brahmā’s shop? Brahma shop. Okay, thank you. Something which is positive is always good, no? And when the children are bigger and they don’t want anyone, you can utilize it for your chimney. Yeah. For making fire, it’s a very good wood; it burns well. 100% recycling. Any questions? My son will have an operation in January. I will... Chetan Purī was writing. Blessing. Mahāprabhujī’s blessing. I pray to Mahāprabhujī for his operation. There are a lot of emails and requests that come when someone has an operation or examinations or something. And when I get the message immediately, I send my request and pray to Mahāprabhujī to help. Further, it is in his hands. Don’t think that I asked Mahāsvāmījī and it didn’t help us. So, in my capacity, this is that I am only a postman, a brief trigger, a messenger. So I can only go to Mahāprabhujī and say. Then Mahāprabhujī will say, "Yes." Further, I don’t dare, you know. So Mahāprabhujī looked a little, and then I said, "Okay." So, at any time, if anyone phones, immediately during that time I say, "I pray to Mahāprabhujī for your help," and it comes; it helps. It is true. There is a connection. It’s like from you coming to me, and I pray there, and then it goes like a sunrise, like a light. And you also can do it. It’s not only that it goes through me, because that will be one-sided. If Mahāprabhujī will only accept prayer from me, then for what are we meditating on Mahāprabhujī every day? For what? So he listens to you also, everyone, everyone. And when we do prayer together, that is something great. And in certain critical situations, we do pray, and the energy reaches the persons. It changes in the astral waves, you know. Deen Bandhu Deen Anāth, merī dorī tere hāth. O Lord of the meek, the string or the thread of my life is in your hands. Please, can you move sometime towards you? There is a beautiful bhajan. So, the doer is He alone. We are not the doer. The doer is He alone. But we can only do things that we can request; we can pray. And blessed are they who can pray. We are lucky that we are just sitting and doing jokes or something, and we forget the Guru Dev. And suddenly one comes and says, "Please, can you ask for a prayer for me?" Yes, I will do it. Thank you. Thanks to that person, he reminded me of Gurudev’s name, so I am praying again. So, Mahāprabhujīp Karatā He Kevalam, Mahāprabhujīp Karatā He Kevalam. We also ask the Gurudev to listen to our prayer. And it will be heard. Yes. You knock on the door, and the door will be opened. You walk in, and you will be welcomed, and you will get your answer or your bread. That is the door of Gurudev, and that we also call Gurudwara. Have you heard the name Gurudwara? In the Sikh belief, the Sikh religion, whatever they call it, the religion is Sikh, and that temple is called Gurudwara. Dvār means gate, the door, the door to the Gurudev’s house. And the Gurudwara is beautiful, wonderful. Everyone who comes is most welcome, and without any dualities, without anything, they will also get prasāda and everything. They will serve you. When you go to the Gurudwara, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, people are waiting there. When you put your shoes out, they will polish them, clean them, and put them to one side. In the waiting line, they are those who can serve whose devotee, the bhakta or the Gurudev, is coming. And then you have to, they say, go through the water because your feet should be cleaned. There is no other way to go. You have to go. The water is tempered. And someone is standing outside with the towels, drying your feet nicely. And when you go back also, that’s called a sevā. And did you help someone, your friends here, your yoga brothers and sisters? Even we don’t help to carry the suitcase up. The elderly person is going, and we are just talking. That’s a seva. You know what the seva means? And if you can’t do the seva, then at least don’t destroy the atmosphere. Who are you to give judgment to the sevā? So, Gurudwārā is very great, very great. So good seva, so much respect. So everywhere, you know, purity, cleanness, seva, satsaṅg, that is called satsaṅg. Kar kīrpāmo ye satsaṅg dī jo kar jo Śrī Dīpā Dayālaya Rājasūna jo Prabhudīpā Dayālaya Rājasūna Dīpnan Bhagvānakī. And so, after this program, you will go for eating, take some towel or some tissues, and look at your friends and clean their shoes, okay? Yeah, I will see how many will clean. There will be little who clean, more will be there. Hey, my shoes also. Like this we are, all right. There is one more: Yoga, Diploma of Yoga in Daily Life.
