It is said that from Vidyā (knowledge) arises Anurūd (prosperity). Without knowledge, one is like a vessel without a handle. I bow to the divine Lord, the giver of sacred gifts, the remover of obstacles, the protector, the one who holds the staff in hand, who bestows blessings upon those seated in the lotus posture. I bow to the supreme Guru, the cause of the universe. I bow to the one who nourishes the world, the remover of difficulties. I bow to the Lord of all beings. Om Swasti na Indro Vṛddhaśravāḥ, Swasti naḥ Pūṣā Viśvavedāḥ, Swasti nas Tārkṣyo Ariṣṭanemiḥ, Swasti no Bṛhaspatir Dadhātu. I offer salutations to Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parama Pūjya Svāmījī, Śrī Māheśvarānanda Purījī Mahārāj, in whose presence meditation is the root, the form of the Guru is the root of worship, the feet of the Guru are the root, the mantra is the root of the Guru’s word, and liberation is the root of the Guru’s grace. You alone are the Mother, You alone are the Father, You alone are the Friend, You alone are the Relative, You alone are the Knowledge, You alone are the Wealth, You alone are everything. Salutations to You, O Deva. Jambūdvīpa, I offer my respectful obeisance. I offer sweet, dear, and pure modaka to the Deva, always in all my actions. And I will serve the students with devotion. All the students, please stand for the Śrāvaṇī Bandhanā. This program of Śrāvaṇī Bandhanā is about to begin. The program will be started by the school girls, and I invite the girls onto the stage. Hari Om to everybody. Welcome to all attendants gathered here to celebrate the most auspicious day of the Indian Republic, Republic Day. The lamp was kindled by our revered world peace ambassador, Śrī Śrī 1008 Viśvaguru, His Holiness Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parama Pūjya Svāmī Māheśvarānandajī. Following that, the flag was hoisted by Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Svāmī Jasrāj Purījī, and thereafter the parade was inspected by Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Svāmī Śrī Jasrāj Purījī. Now our school students will do PT. They hold white and green flags, displaying the tricolor. The flowing tricolor expresses joy. When the tricolor is lowered, it reminds us of the martyrs. When they place their hand above and form a shape, it resembles the form of a lamp. We are celebrating by lighting a lamp on this auspicious occasion, and these students are clapping in greeting. The students are now forming the Hindi word "Jhāṇḍā" (flag). The saffron-colored bars represent "Jha," the white-colored bars represent "Ṇa," and the green-colored bars represent "Ḍā." Please give them a big round of applause. After this program, please be ready for the welcome song. "Come once, Guru, come again and again." After the welcome song, there will be a yoga demonstration. Welcoming Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parama Pūjya Svāmī Śrī Mīrśānanjī Mahārāj, the school girls present a welcome song: "Once again, come Guru, come again and again," along with their friends. Our heartfelt and enthusiastic welcome to all our esteemed guests from Bāvanā and friends, sung with full voice and praise, celebrating the vibrant spirit of Rajasthan, my beloved Rajasthan, its folk culture expressed through village songs. The girls have presented a most beautiful gift. In the next segment of the program, the people of Rajasthan, through the students of the Nāṭya Śikṣaṇ Vidyālaya, are performing a yoga demonstration. The program is being conducted under the guidance of Bhāratījī. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Bhāratījī on the microphone. At the feet of Viśvaguru Parama Pūjya Svāmī Śrī Meśvarānanda Purījī Mahārāj and Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Svāmī Jasrāj Purījī, we offer our respectful salutations. Our Vidyālaya Gurukula students will practice yoga and perform yoga sādhanā. First of all, the mantra will be chanted. All the children who are offering their salutations will chant the mantras, and those who are not, please listen: Om asato mā sad gamaya, Om tamaso mā jyotir gamaya, Om mṛtyor mā amṛtaṁ gamaya. Om sarveṣāṁ svastir bhavatu, Om sarveṣāṁ śāntir bhavatu, Om sarveṣāṁ maṅgalaṁ bhavatu. Om pūrṇam adaḥ, pūrṇam idaṁ, pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate, pūrṇasya pūrṇam ādāya, pūrṇam evāvaśiṣyate. Om śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ. Place both hands on the knees. Those sitting will practice a specific āsana. Lie down in your place for Vṛścikāsana over Cakrāsana. Both hands near the ears, both legs bent, come into the position of Cakrāsana. They will do Vṛścikāsana over this. The entire body is supported by the chin and chest, standing upright, then slowly lowering back down. In this way, the children of our gurukula regularly practice yoga and keep themselves away from various types of ailments. They treat diseases through yoga, and along with that, the development of memory is demonstrated through the practice of yoga. Om Viśvādiṁ Gurukulāṣṭram, today let us applaud with great enthusiasm. Let us dispel all doubts and difficulties. On the faces of today’s students, there is a visible expression of joy and satisfaction. At this very moment of bliss, open the doors of your inner self. You are on the threshold of bliss; open the inner vessel once. O lovers of the nation, unite and chant the glory of Viśvagurujī. Praise to Parama Pūjya Svāmījī, the beloved of Mahīśāsana Purījī Mahārāj; praise to the beloved of Purījī Mahārāj, the divine Lord. Listen to the folk songs of Bhagavān, O humans, and let the heart’s darkness be dispelled, so that this light may shine forth through the folk melodies. In the next segment, Iṣṭa Vidyā Puṣpā Bhāyal and her friend Aggārī’s class present the folk dance Paniyarī, a symbol of Rajasthan’s cultural heritage, before you by the girls of the Iṣṭānīya Vidyālaya. In honor of all the distinguished foreign guests present here, a program showcasing Rajasthan’s folk culture has been arranged. To recognize the identity of Śrīpur Rāṣṭra, international standards are presented. I make the students understand that many excellent āśrama administrators have been prepared under our guidance. In our āśrama premises, all the practitioners who have come from Śrīmātā Mādhavādan Āṣṭālīya Cikitsālaya have been... On the occasion of Gaṇatantra Divas, on behalf of the Vidyālaya family, I also warmly welcome you. Please honor us by applauding those who are present here today. I request all the mothers and sisters who have come to the āśrama premises to kindly come here. Establish your place firmly, so that I can advance the work today. It is true that the people of Rajasthan preserve their culture in many ways, just as Rajasthan is the land that awakens heroes, where the enemy is confronted with courage, where the tales of Haldīghāṭī are recited, and where the flag of honor is proudly flown—beloved Rajasthan. In honor of vibrant and bold Rajasthan, I would like to make a request to the students—please applaud those who have made significant contributions to the freedom of our country. Continuing the chain of hard work, I request the students once again. In our ashram premises, there is a temple of Deveśvara Mādevjī. With full enthusiasm and energy, let us chant Jaya Goṣṭha. Many, many thanks to Baldeviṣṭa Varmādeva for the Hindi poetry recitation. I invite the students of Praveśikā and Book Vidyārthīs to the stage. Nira Diśā, Nira Lāhe. The sentiments of the students’ poem were somewhat like this: The students have gathered the folk culture of Hindustan, enriched by patriotic national programs, and presented it before you. The students wish to express that the auspicious fulfillment of the folk practices of Mother India may be realized. May the public welfare worship of Mā Bhāratī be fulfilled, may the idol of love be established, and may it be the foundation of your vision. A very splendid presentation—let us applaud for the girls. And now, for the next segment of the program, I invite Gāyatrī Maṁsukhānī Pralat Vāṇīt Jāvar’s daughter to the stage. On this auspicious day of the Gaṇatantra celebration, the one who will present before you the essence of the Gāyatrī Maṁsukhānī Gaṇatantra celebration, during the sacred time of the ceremony, like the blazing Jvālānmukhī Nakṣatra shining brightly across the entire universe, I offer millions and millions of salutations at the feet of the great Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parama Pūjya Viśvaguru Svāmījī Mahēśvarānandajī Sadguru Dev. Millions of salutations at the feet of Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Svāmījī Jasrāj Purījī. Respectful greetings to the esteemed principal Śrī Sāvalāljī Ojhā and the head teacher Śrīmatī Sīmājī Dave, as well as to the honorable guests and guardians who have come from afar. I extend my best wishes for the auspicious occasion of Gaṇatantra Divas to all the teachers and my disciples. One cannot express their own joy or sorrow; only animals can endure it in this world. Today is a day of great happiness for us. On this sacred full moon moment, we are going to celebrate the 62nd Republic Day in the spiritual campus of Jādan Āśrama. India, India—the greatest word of my homeland, wherever it may be. It is applied; all other words become mere meanings. On 26th January 1950, the auspicious beginning of the Republic took place in India. Every citizen of India became the architect of their own destiny, shedding the cloak of slavery, and became a source of inspiration before all the developed nations of the world. Today, despite numerous negative pressures, challenges, and foreign invasions faced by this vast and developed country, Indian democracy has not failed like some neighboring states. Rather, even today, with its inherent dignity, it should not be forgotten on the world stage—a world that has not yet been reached. It is a ray, where the horizon is silent and the sky is darkened; it is a ray. See, the scene of the world still stirs the inner space today. The mother feels a sense of shame, the infant receives nourishment; the infant receives nourishment. This is the final mark to die for the homeland, this is the final mark. We have never agreed to war, but we have been neighbors... The futile and impure attempts against the nation have been decisively answered. Today, the country is burning in the fire of terrorism and unrest. To advance the wheel of economic development, everyone must unite with a spirit of dedication to lead this great nation to its destiny. It is time to resolve this firmly, for the youth to step forward, and for the leaders to do the same. By establishing noble values in your conduct, India has presented before you the current state of the nation—that blind bullets of murderers have cast a darkness of oppression and cruelty, igniting fire in every hope and reducing it to a heap of ashes. We have accepted that this land is dearer to us than our very lives. What kind of brotherhood is this among those who fight for votes? Keeping in mind the current situation of the nation, there should be a sense of self-respect and passion that a visionary person must have. I would request the students to sit in the presence of Gurudev and reflect deeply on this. As long as we remain on this very earth, we must continue to repay the debt to our homeland. I extend the chain of karma further. Before that, all the students present here on behalf of the school have offered respectful salutations to Gurudev. I am carrying forward the tradition that the life force of Gurudev resides at the lotus feet. The presentation is about to begin, please welcome her warmly; she is a student of the fifth class, who is giving a splendid presentation before you. The feeling is very deep. Class B gave a wonderful presentation on Bhaktiyoga Mārga and these paths. All the saints of our country are dedicated to guiding these paths directly. So, one should practice devotion sincerely so that one attains God and experiences spiritual peace. From this heart, I make a very good announcement. I am feeling a certain pride that those dedicated to public service are also artists, and they are the true crown of the light of human life. The saintly Begum Gulsājī Dīvī Dhārā from Ajmer has come among us to receive spiritual power, for you and the children. You are dedicated to the eradication of children’s diseases, which also helps in curing illnesses. In October 2011, the mother of our Viśvagurujī will be organizing the World Super Festival in Ajmer Pushkar. At this World Festival, our Viśvaguru Paramātmā Svāmījī Śrī Mahiśvarānandapurījī Mahārāj... All the saints and devotees will also participate in this. Please offer your complete respect by clapping your hands. Thank you very much. I am going to proceed with the next segment of the program, but those who have contributed to the entire program deserve heartfelt congratulations. The students who have taken part in this program are also to be commended. You will surely receive blessings from Viśvagurujī and the accomplished saints. For the program of the Karma-kī Saṅkalā, the Sāmājika dance "Jaya Dhartī Mā, Jaya Go Mātā" is being presented by the Śānti Bīvā and her companions. This colorful and vibrant dance on the earth depicts the Chambal showering gold. The Śrāvaṇa and Bhādrapada months turn the paper green, the fair fields are now flourishing. This Ghanā has ripened the grain; your countrymen have cultivated it. The students of the school have presented an excellent program. Valpat Lāljī Paṇu sincerely communicates this to the community, who have been called from Gāya Tīrtha. A sesame seed is not a grain, and a cow is not an animal.
