Maha-Shivaratri Satsang in Vienna (2/2)

Awaken the inner light and strength within. Śiva Rātri is a day of divine grace for spiritual development. Śiva is the universal consciousness, the creator and destroyer, embodying truth and liberation. This consciousness holds no negativity, offering equal mercy to all. The Pañcākṣara mantra, Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya, is a tool for purification. Performing abhiṣeka, the ritual bathing of the Śiva liṅga with water, invokes living consciousness, not mere stone. Satsaṅg, the company of truth, is the path to God, protecting from negative influences. Dedication and a pure heart are paramount, as illustrated by stories where even a hunter or a thief attained Śiva's grace through complete self-offering. The Mahāmṛtyuñjaya mantra seeks liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The principle of Ardhanārīśvara represents the inseparable unity of consciousness and energy within all.

"Shiva sees both sides of the world, but it is hard for us, for the worldly humans, with limited experiences, with limited knowledge."

"Śiva needs a pure heart. It doesn’t matter what you do, but you must have a pure heart for him."

Filming location: Vienna, Austria

Jaya Deveśvara Mahādeva kī jaya! Śrī Svāmī Mādhava-ānanda-jī Gurudeva kī jaya! Śrī Svāmī Maheśvara Nāna-jī Viśva-Gurudeva kī jaya! We are waiting for our dear Bhakti Devī. Now that she is performing her dance with her students, welcome, dear Bhakti Devījī. Come in front, and our dear Dr. Radha will read the meaning—what it means: the different kinds of mudrās, different kinds of postures, or how to say, what this means. When she is showing this Bharatanāṭyam, this classical Indian dance, it’s a temple dance. It’s not the kind of popular dance which we have now in this time. It’s really from ancient times, how the devotees showed their devotion to the Lord, to God, with dancing. So, here, Bhakti Devī, dear students, please kindly invite you to come on the stage. We are students of the Egyptian dance school, where the leaders of the Bhakti Devī show us a demonstration of the Bharatanāṭyam. The classical Indian spiritual dance, Bharatanāṭyam, is an expression of perfection. A Bharatanāṭyam offering is practiced and seen for the audience. The first dance in the dance is Śikharatana. It is a verse in Sanskrit. It is a short dance to the praise of God Gaṇeśa. Gaṇeśa is a God who solves all problems. The demonstration is now on. Gaṇeśa rides on his horse. His hands are always ready. He has elephants. He carries a baton only as a symbol of the kingdom. All problems are solved. For him, her mind became entranced with the world... Those who have not yet done Abhiṣeka, you can come. Symbolically, we cannot give as many flowers as we would like to give. So symbolically, one flower to all our dear friends performing this beautiful dance, Bharatanatyam. We kindly invite our dear Bhajan singer to come on the stage, our dear Kṛṣṇa-priyā. We can also see our Śiva video. Now we will start with our video from Mahā Śiva Purāṇa, the first part, where we will see how it started, how it’s created, and it is with English subtitles, so maybe Swāmījī will explain a little bit what it means, and also in English and in German and English, we will see. So we will start very soon with our video, Mahā Śiva Purāṇa. Meanwhile, many, many new devotees have come and are doing Abhiṣeka on the Śiva Liṅga. Many, many take the opportunity to greet Swāmījī personally, to have his darśana and make praṇāma before Swamījī goes on his long, long journey around the whole world via America, Canada, and then back to India. We are expecting, obviously there are many people. I think we have here in Vienna now about six to seven hundred people. We have come here, and many people were waiting to have darśana. And now we can please start with the video, Mahā Śiva Purāṇa, first part. Those who come for darśana, please come quickly because we need time for the other program, okay? Don’t make a queue, just come quickly and go. Thank you as quick as possible, thank you. No questions, no speaking, no smiling, no sadness, just be happy. Go quickly, please. Two, three together. Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya. Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya.... So, thank you. Now we can... this is the very beginning, uh, episode about Mahāśivapurāṇa: what and how we understand what Lord or God, the universal God Śiva means, and Śiva is. This video or this film is made by one of the very famous filmmakers, and they have done a great job, and it is beautiful. It is worthwhile to have such a video or to buy and see the complete Mahāśivapurāṇa. Then we will understand a lot: what is spirituality, what is bhakti or devotion, what can be the negative qualities which destroy ourselves and others. What can be a positive quality which can liberate ourselves and others? What one can achieve through the blessing of God Śiva. Today is Śiva Rātrī, and I wish you all, dear brothers and sisters, a happy Śiva Rātrī and the blessings of Bhagavān Śiva Śaṅkara. Deepna and Bhagavān, and people should not come in between, please. Now, okay, make up quickly and go, because if you disturb the film, sit down and come after. Śiva Śiva... Śiva Śiva... Śiva Śiva... Jaya Śiva Śaṅkara! Jaya Bholenātha! Guru Śaṅkara, today is Mahāśivarātri’s pavitra parva, and with the auspicious coincidence, Lord Śiva’s attack is also auspicious. Therefore, say, "Hail Mahādeva!" On the Pavan Parva of Mahāśivarātri, Lord Śiva’s Sadāśiva Jyoti was seen. Today, the devotee who worships Lord Shiva with a true heart is blessed with the infinite blessings of Lord Shiva. Hail Sadāśiva Śaṅkara! Gurudeva, we have heard that Lord Śiva’s sweet līlās are also beneficial, like the worship of Śiva. Please tell us the story of the Śiva Mahāpurāṇa. There is no end to Śiva’s līlās. Śiva Mahāpurāṇa is the main story of Śiva. But Śiva has many other līlās which are found in other Purāṇas, folk tales, and ḍāṇḍ tales as well. According to the events, I will keep presenting the interesting incidents of all those tales to you. Gurudeva, from where does Lord Śiva’s Līlā start? Shiva’s Līlās are infinite. He is the creator, preserver, and destroyer of this world. Rudra Rūpa Śiva is eternal and immortal. He does not take birth from any mother. At the end of every mantra, Rudra-rūpa Śiva will destroy this world and do the Mahāpralaya. After the Mahāpralaya, this world will be destroyed. The last thing left is the light of Sadāśiva. After the Mahāpralaya, before the creation of this world, everything was dark. Only the light of Sadāśiva was left. Sadaśiva is the formless, unparalleled Brahmā. His wishes and signs create the universe, and in the end, according to the wish of Sadāśiva, the universe becomes a great universe. Beyond the creation of the universe, the same light form, Sadāśiva, takes the form of Liṅga. Ādi-dhārī Viṣṇu, tumhe tapa karnā hai. Tapa hi tumhārā ekamātra karma hai. Tapa hi tumhāre lie sarvocca dharma hai. In that time, the whole of the universe was filled with water, water of Brahmā, water of Brahmā,... water of Brahmā. He entered Kamalā Nāla to offer his blessings. He went down and tried to go towards the end of Kamala Nāla. He went down and tried to go towards the end of Kamala Nāla. He went down and tried to go towards the end of Kamala Nāla. He went down and tried to go towards the end of Kamalā Nāla. He went down and tried to go towards the end of Kamala Nāla. Then the hope begins to spread. Now, his birth father will surely give him a chance. His hope is not complete. Slowly, slowly, he returns to the lotus. To find the creator, the journey of karma is unsuccessful. Viṣṇu is his birth father. You cannot see anyone else. You can see, that is me. I am your birth father. You have been born from my navel. No, this is not true. If no one is my birth father, then I am my own. No, you are not your own. This is untrue. This is the truth. The dispute between you two is meaningless. The birth of Brahmadeva and Vishnudeva, my Jyoti Svarūpa, Sadā Śiva se huā hai. Arthāt, tum dono kā janma-dātā main, akṣarōṁ dvārā. Man, hi vyakti hotā, śabda mare brahma rūpa. Viṣa-dhāraṇa-ādi becomes a symbol of Śiva and ends the effect of the poison. Akṣamālā, the symbol of Śiva, controls the body temperature. Maheśa, the symbol of the three powers, becomes the symbol of Shiva’s lalāṭa. The extraordinary eyes on the head of Śiva are the symbol of Śiva’s destructive power. Brahmadeva, now you have to create the world. As you command, Sadāśiva. Viṣṇudeva, you have to follow the creation of Brahmādeva. May you always have the permission to start. In the beginning of the work, the universe was created from 24 elements. Lord Viṣṇu got involved in that universe and became the creator. He divided it into two parts. Upar ākāśa banā, nīce kā bhāga, jala tathā pṛthvī banī. Is racanā se Brahmādeva santuṣṭa na the, unho ne cintana kiyā. Us cintana ke phalasvarūpa, unke mastaka se cāra mānasa putra utpanna hue. Nandana, Sanātana, Sanat Kumāra, mere mānasa putro, Manava sṛṣṭi kī utpatti hai tū, maine tumhe prakaṭa kiyā. Parampitā, hame śamā kare, ham cintana dvārā, āpke mastaka se. This work will not be done by us. We always want to be immersed in Brahma-cintana. Disappearance is our duty and action. There is no harm in the creation of the world and the birth of mankind, so we will follow the path of Tattva-cintana. Forgive us, Prabhu. Brahmā was disappointed to see the disappearance of human beings. He decided to give birth to other human beings with the hope of human creation. He gave birth to the first human being, Marīca, with the purpose of creating the world. Marīca decided to go for penance. The creator of the world, Brahmā, gave birth to the third human being, Bhṛgu, from his heart. Bhṛgu was called the second human being of Brahmā. After that, Brahmadeva created his third son, Aṅgirā, from his head. Aṅgirā, who was created for the purpose of creation, also went for penance immediately. The father Brahmā created his fourth son Pulaha through Vyāna Vāyu. Pulaha also traveled toward the path of penance. Prajāpati Brahmadeva created his fifth son, Pulastya, through his own air. Pulastya also followed the path of penance. The creator Brahmā created his sixth son, Vasiṣṭha, through his own air, that is, through his mouth. Vasiṣṭha Ṛṣi also followed his instructions. Brahmadeva, with both his ears, gave birth to his seventh son, Atri. The sage’s mind was also open to penance. Seeing that he was free from the desires of the world, Brahmadeva was again reminded. He was confused as to which of the sons of man he should give birth to, so that he could do his work. When he thought about it, he got the inspiration to create Dakṣa Prajāpati, who is the master of Bhakti Bhāvanā and the one who carries the duties of Prajāpālaka. O Nārada, you will spread Bhakti in the beings of the world. So that people can adopt Dharma Bhāvanā and stay away from sins and karmas. What is the permission for me, Supreme Father? Son of Dakṣa, you will follow the people with the intention of being the Prajāpati. As you wish, Supreme Father. You will create an attraction of beauty between the women, and you will inspire the creation of the world. As you wish, Supreme Father. Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya, Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya. Jyoti Svarūpa, Mujh Sadāśiva mein, Śiva Tathā Śakti kā yahī Ardhanārīśvara Rūpa antarnihita hai. Prakṛti aur Puruṣa kī Sammilita Sattā kā Nāma hī Ardhanārīśvara Śiva hai. Ardhat, Prakṛti aur Puruṣa mein bheda jāne binā, tum apne uddeśya mein saphal nahīṁ ho sakte. Shiva, Shiva hī Ardhanārīśvara Rūpa hai. Abhinna hote hue bhī, sansāriyoṁ ke sammukha līlā karne ke lie, Śiva tathā śakti, bhinna rūpa meṁ dikhāyī dete haiṁ, Brahmādeva. Śiva kī icchā tathā ājñā se hī, avaśyakatā anusāra śakti avatāra dhāraṇa kartī hai. Śakti, sadā Śiva kī sahacārī hai. Parantu Śiva śakti kī abhinnatā mein, bhinnatā kā rahasya, sāmānya sansāriyoṁ kī samajha mein kaise āyegā Prabhu? To do the same, we have ordered the creation of the world and Viśvadeva to follow the creation of the world, Brahmadeva. So now, start those līlās, Sadāśiva. For the welfare of the people of the world, by taking the form of Śaṅkara, present the ideal of dharma, knowledge, and duty, Lord. Accept the prayer of Brahmadeva, Lord. Tathāstu, Brahmadeva, hum rudra avatāra dhāraṇa karke Kailāśa para prakaṭ huṅge. Kailāśa para hī kyoṁ, Prabhu? Islie, kyā sansāra ke sammukha ghora tapasvī tathā mahā yogī kā ādarśa prastuta karnā cāhatā hūṁ. Aisā yogī, jo vairāgya kī bhāvanā ke sātha śarīra para śava bhasma lagā kar sansāra ko naśvaratā kā sandeśa detā the. Wearing a turban, wearing the form of Ādi Devatā, staying on Himāndita Kailāśa, doing Avichala Yoga Samādhi in a cool environment. Mother Śakti, when will you start your Līlā? In front of humans, to present the ideal of a woman, it is necessary to take the incarnation of Śakti in the form of a woman. To become the pure form of Śiva, I will take the incarnation of a woman. When? Where? God, to fulfill your wishes, I will take the permission of Śiva and will be born in the form of the daughter of Dakṣa Prajāpati. Now you may complete your unfulfilled work. I am blessed, Mother. After seeing Kīrti and Puruṣa, Brahmādeva was inspired by the birth of Prajāpati, Nara and Nārī. Then he gave birth to the first male, Manu, and the first female, Śatarūpā. Child Manu, you are the first male in this world to whom I give the right of birth. As you wish, Śatarūpā, you are the first female in this world. You will have to support Manu in the birth of Manu. Praṇāma Deva. Thank you. Now, now I can’t be there, I will speak for a few minutes. Go ahead. Okay. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. We have a blessed occasion to celebrate Śivarātri. It is a day of great grace. God has given us several such holidays where we can improve our development. God gave us a lot of celebrations and festivals so that we can have spiritual development and get Guru Kṛpā. I would like to tell you one story from one Śivarātri. We have celebrated Shivaratri, and once there were also our Indian brothers and sisters. And we don’t know about Indian culture very much, as we should know. And of course, we don’t know many things, and we don’t do them correctly. So, two of our Indian sisters could not take it any longer. It was not very comfortable for them when they saw somebody take the bowl of milk with the left hand. Or if they don’t hold the thing with both hands. So they were telling us off a little bit. I had to laugh a little bit because, a while before, I had a very nice experience. It was a very nice experience with the presence of Śiva. It was a time of great grace. I felt great love and a great desire to give. And it was something like she said, "What would you like, and what else would you like?" And it was going on like this, and he still wanted to give. I said that it’s true that we don’t know how to do these celebration things properly, but if we do it with our hearts, with bhakti, and we know at least a little bit what we do, then the success will come. Thank you. And we had this morning also a presence from Lord Śiva this morning. We had a very, very nice snow blanket over our Vienna. And once the family said, "The snowing means Lord Śiva, who is sitting on Mount Kailāśa, we saw he is shaking his hair and the snow is falling down." And this experience we had this morning, it was like a blessing for us from Śrīdhar Purījī, Mahādeva, and it was very, very nice to see, because still you have minus degrees, otherwise there would not be snow, and next week also we are expecting very, very cold weather. Anyone want to say anything? I mean, about Śivarātri, anything means. Okay, sing a prayer for us, okay? So, you will feel better in your life. Eleven times we will chant Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya eleven times, and you may wish for something positive. Blessings of the Universal Divine Light, Śiva Jyoti, and the Cosmic Resonance, Nādarūpa Parabrahma, Oṁkāra, Oṁkāra Vindu Sayuktam Nityadayanti Yoginaḥ, Kāmaṁ Mokṣaṁ Jīva, Oṁkārāya Namaḥ. Part 2: The Universal Grace of Śiva: A Discourse on Śivarātri May the merciful Lord Śiva bless all of us with Śakti, with Bhakti, with Jñāna, with good health, with love, compassion in the heart, and salvation. Oṃ Namaḥ Śivāya. O Śiva, Śiva, Śaṅkara Bhagavān Kī, Devīśvara Mahādeva, Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī, Mādhava Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān Kī, Śyāvara Rāmacandra Bhagavān Kī, Satya Sanātandhara. Oṃ Dīpa Jyoti Parabrahma Dīpaṃ Sarve Mohanaṃ Dīpanaṃ Sajjati Sarvaṃ Sandhyā Dīpaṃ Sarva Satyaṃ Śubhaṃ Kṛoti Kalyāṇaṃ Ārogyaṃ Dhana Sampada Śatru Buddhi Vināśāya Dīpa Jyoti Rādham Astute. Oṃ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ. Adoration to the Cosmic Light, Sadāśiva. Adoration to our Divine Guru Paramparā and Satguru Dev Swāmī Madhavānandajī. Good evening, dear brothers and sisters, bhaktas, aspirants, and practitioners here and around the world, those who are with us now through our Devcast. It was a great opportunity for all of us that, for the last two days, we have been celebrating the first spiritual day, or the universal festival of Śivarātri, which means glory to Śiva. Now, through this video, we came to know, yes, Shiva is the creator of the entire universe. Not only our planet, but we see nine planets; not only our Earth, but millions of different solar systems. Shiva means consciousness, Shiva means liberation, Shiva means beauty, the truth: Satyam Śivam Sundaram. In Shiva’s consciousness, there is no negative energy. He has a very equal vision, which means mercy for all, and that’s why both Devas and Rākṣasas or Asuras all come to Shiva and seek his blessing. When they come to Śiva, their buddhi, their intellect, their heart, their visions, their ambitions suddenly purify. It merges into the Śiva mind. Like when the sun rises, automatically the darkness merges into the light. The darkness has no power because the sun is billions of times brighter than the darkness. Once Mahātma Gāndhījī said, "We hate the sin, but not the sinner." And so was the consciousness of Śiva. When the Asuras came, he blessed them also. When devas come, he blesses them also. And it is that Śiva consciousness, Śiva Śakti, which balances between the two, negative and positive. Shiva sees both sides of the world, but it is hard for us, for the worldly humans, with limited experiences, with limited knowledge. And therefore, we project doubts, we project conflicts. And due to this, our ambition, our ego, our conflict, our doubts, the inner pollution begins to create. And that inner pollution is negative, negative energy. Shiva did not say, "This is a Hindu religion, this is a Christian religion, this is that one." This is all coming after, but they are good. It’s not that any religion which we follow in this world is a Guru Vakya. It means those great saints or messengers, prophets, who came and gave the message of God. We adore their messages, their Vākyas, not who was there, how they were, or from where they were. Because Vasudeva Kuṭumbakam, the entire world is one family of that supreme Śiva. We are Śiva’s family. So when the negative energy awakes, the best way is to purify again with Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya. Pañcākṣara mantra, five letters. Yes. Akṣara means not only alphabet. Akṣaya. You know, it was Akṣaya Jala. When Lord Śiva tells Viṣṇu, "Viṣṇu, your duty is to go and make tapasyā." And out of his tapasyā, this jal came, water came. Akṣaya jal. Akshay means everlasting. Kshay means destructed or not permanent. Akshay means the permanent. Therefore, it’s called Akṣar Brahma, Nād Brahma, Akṣar Brahma, Akṣay Jal Brahma, and An Brahma. An-Brahma means the corns, the food, the seeds from the grass, what we make to break. Corn is a grass, wheat is a grass, barley is a grass. So Aksha-Brahma and An-Brahma and Ana, in that Ana is the seed of the universe. And where the ānā, there is everything. Anāpūrne sadā pūrne. Because Śaṅkara prāṇa valave. Inside is Shiva’s prāṇa. Therefore, for what we ask bikṣā, or food, for what we are eating, we are not eating just to fulfill this, to fill this stomach and this jāṭharāgni. But we are eating Jñāna Vairāgya Siddhārtha. Merciful Lord, through this human body, give us such nourishment through which our Jñāna, the wisdom, develops and we lead a life of Vairāgya, detachment. Do you understand someone? Vairāgya. And Mahāprabhujī said in his bhajans, "Vairāgya konī hove lāl binā satsaṅg. Binā satsaṅg nahī lāge raṅg bhajan kā. Vairāgya konī hove lāl binā satsaṅg." Satsaṅg is the place of vairāgya and knowledge. Kushanga is the place of suffering and negative things, jealousy, and doubt. Therefore, Holy Gurujī said, every holy saint, every bhakta, every seeker prays to God to bless them with the satsaṅg. "Kushaṅg se prabhumoye bachāvo, kushaṅg se prabhumoye dūr kar do. Dūrajam dūr rakhi jo, dūrajam dūr rakhi jo." Oh Lord, please protect me from Kuśaṅga, Dostra, Durjana, all these negative qualities and people, please keep them away from me. Therefore, satsaṅg is the way to the Lord, to God, to the universe. Therefore, these two days’ celebration of Mahāśivarātri was very divine, very divine. And many, many bhaktas came, thousands, from yesterday four o’clock till now, circulating, coming, going, coming, going, making abhiṣeka. Abhisheka means pūjā, and you see Śiva manifested in so many. Here, so many Śivajīs are virajman. This is a Śiva temple, a Śiva family. It was a good idea that you brought from your home the Śiva liṅgam, Śiva mandir, and put it here. It means this all pūjā, all Abhisheka. Now you have this divine Śivajī in your home, which had Abhiṣeka. What means Abhiṣeka? Abhiṣeka means when there is only stone, it is a stone. When there is a dead body, it is only a dead body. But when there is life inside, then it is living. So when Abhiṣeka is done, then it is not a stone anymore. Don’t think it is a stone. It is a life inside. It is a Śiva consciousness inside. And when you take it home, every morning you should make abhiṣeka. Little water, doesn’t matter, it must not be milk or this, maybe water is very good, and Vienna water is very good, and other water is very good. Water is water, dobra boda, abodha jīvot. Water is beautiful; water is life. Jal jahan jagadīś. Where there is water, there is life. And that’s why on our planet, he has water and he has life. Caurāsī lakha jīva yoni. 8.4 million different creatures. So, with the water morning, you have seen in the video was saying, when you wake up early morning or late, whenever you wake up, you should say, "Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya." When you go to sleep, say, "Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya." A holy saint said, "Even the animals and the birds remember God morning and evening." When we say "Om Namah Śivāya," I am sure that our day will be happy. And from you, the positive energy will radiate. After making your bathroom ceremony, that’s also a ceremony. That is self-abhiṣeka. Then you come in a little water with this mantra five times. That’s more than enough: "Om triyambakam yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam." Then more water: "Om āpo hi ṣṭhā mayo bhuvas." Your moxie, Mom Rita, home triumva, come yaja, my so Gandhi, positive Ardenham, or water, come me, Wanda, not with your moxie, Mom Rita. And then, if you have some flower petals or some fruits, put it near your Shivjī. Mahā Mṛtyu Jaya Mantra, the meaning: Mahā means great. There are many different incarnations in many forms of the gods, but there is only one God which has the name Mahādeva. Mahā means great, and that Mahādeva is Śiva. Shiva is the Mahādeva. He is the universal one. So Mahā means the great, Mrityu, the death. Janam Maraṇa, the birth and death, is following us all the time. And we are praying how to come out of the cycle of Janam Maraṇa. So, mahā-mṛtyu. It’s not only that we will die, we know that we will die, but how will we die? No one should suffer. Urva. Urva is a kind of fruit, what we call a kurkumbā. This is like a kurkumbā, is like a gurkhān, nice big one. And when that fruit is ripe, automatically it separates from the plant. The fruit, when it is ripe, automatically separates. Similarly, O Lord, when my time comes, without suffering, without anything, just let me pass away from this body. And therefore, in the Ahiṃsā principle, they also say, "Don’t pluck the unripe fruits, because you cause the pain." There are many kinds of Ahiṃsā and Hiṃsā: physical Hiṃsā, mental Hiṃsā, torture—mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, verbally—many, many pains. And that pain means where the action will reaction come again. That is a pain that you will suffer when you cause a pain to other creatures, other humans. That will come a thousand times back to us. Therefore, Śiva consciousness, Śiva, my... Let me all on Shiva, leave it on him. He will do it, and he was called Bholenāth. Bholenāth means very innocent. He’s very kind, very merciful. He’s like a father or mother. When a little child, a naughty child, says, "Come, sorry father, sorry mother," then the father’s and mother’s heart is melting. Similarly, whatever we did, all our mistakes, Śiva can forgive very easily. Jaya. Jaya means the victory, victory over death. Therefore, Mahāmṛtyu Jaya Mantra. Mahāmṛtyu Jaya Mantra five times, five elements, and this whole day it is said that it will protect us from accidents; it will protect us from many negative things. Then, five times repeating doesn’t take a long time, so: "Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe." It doesn’t matter if you sing quickly or slowly; Shiva doesn’t mind, and you can sing mentally. Or you can sing loudly. The main thing is that you dedicate the time in this consciousness that you are doing the abhiṣekā, and the water which comes from the abhiṣekā, you should put it somewhere in the plants or in the trees. Do not throw it in the toilet; do not throw it in your washing machine. Take care, you may collect it in one bottle, and one day then you can go and put it in the trees and flowers. Of course, by Śiva, there is a Gaṇeśa God, Gaṇeśa, God of numbers. He is God of numbers, you know. There was Śiva. Puja, Aarti, and there were all many, many in the orange cloth, was praying. One side was Brahma and Vishnu was praying. They are Śiva jī ke Gaṇa, Śiva jī ke messenger, Śiva jī ke army, Śiva jī ke whatever you call, all his bhaktas. And God of that all is Gaṇeśjī, Gaṇeśvara, Gaṇeśvara, the Lord of all Gaṇas, Vighneśvara, who can remove all the kleśas, all the vighnas, and therefore Śiva and Gaṇeśjī. Of course, there is also Kārtikeya. He is like a warrior. If then, with the humbleness it doesn’t go, then Kārtikeya comes. So he protects from all negative energies. And Divine, Merciful Mother, Shakti, Pārvatī, Gaurī, Gaurī Śaṅkar, you saw today, you had a darśan of Gaurī Śaṅkar. Half is Gaurī and half is Śaṅkar. Gaurī Śaṅkar, Ardhanāṅginī, half part of Śiva is the, she is the Śakti, half part of the man. Within us are the same principles; both principles exist in us. Kripa, mercy, is the Gaurī, blessing; wisdom is the Śiva. So, some people have called the Śiva Parivāra, the Śiva family. Then, of course, you must have the Nandījī. The Nandī is very important. And between Shiva and Nandi, there is a, what we call, a turtle silk rota that also belongs to Shivaji, and then on the Shivaji near there is also Nagraj, Nagdevta, the snake, so this is all beauty and all his companies, so this is a beautiful imagination. Beautiful picture, and we pray that he forgive our sins, he forgive our mistakes. May he bless us and liberate us from this. Śiva needs a pure heart. It doesn’t matter what you do, but you must have a pure heart for him. The hunter, he went to hunt the animals, and he was a hunter, many... Many years he was hunting, killing the animals, but one night, for his selfishness, he was sitting on the tree. When he was climbing, he had a water bottle, and the water fell down, and there was a Śiva Liṅgam, some old, small Śivjī Pūjā Liṅgam. And Śivjī was thinking that he is doing Abhiseka at midnight, and he was waiting, and he can’t, he can’t sleep. So just to remain awakened, he was taking the leaves and throwing down. It was the Bilpatra, the leaves of that meal tree, and Śivjī was thinking he is making Abbhiṣeka, and he appeared. So even such a person... To whom Śiva can give the darśan and liberate? There was one day one boy, a young boy, 12-13 years, and he went in a Śiva temple to steal something. There was nothing, but on the Śiva liṅgam there was hanging one kalaś. Jaladhari. This Jaladhari, where water is constantly dripping on Śivjī’s head. So he wanted to steal that, to take it away. But he couldn’t reach. And there was just outside a lot of mud in the street, and his feet were muddy. So he looked here, there; there was no chair, nothing. How to get this? So he climbed on the Shiva Liṅgam. And Shivjī was so happy. He said, "You see, at least he is making Tilak with the dust with his feet." Me and he had nothing, so he dedicated himself completely to me, and Shiva came and blessed my child. "Bless you, please forgive." "No, no, my child. You know, some people are only putting flowers on me, but you put yourself completely on me." You... See, that’s a dedication, and that’s understanding the merciful Śiva. So, dear bhaktas, I pray, I pray for my heart, for forgiveness, for his blessing. Bhakti, śakti, and jñāna. And Divine Mother Pārvatī or Śaktī may remain forever in our heart as a mercy, that whatever we do, we do with love, as a harmony and blessing. You came from a far distance, and you have to travel again by car, a long distance. Many of you were coming already in the morning, at noon time. Many of you are sitting constantly here on the hard floor. In India, we used to say, "Gurujī, bhakti karte ho?" Guruji answers, "Beta, kyā jāntī hai? Guruji, you are doing sādhanā." He said, "My son, my body knows what the sādhanās mean." We have to do the sādhanā. You have to sit long, hours and hours, you know. Sometimes people massage my foot, and they say, "Swāmījī, why is it blue, everything?" I say, well, maybe the circulation problem. But this is how long sitting in meditation. Sādhanā, tapasyā is not easy, and so is that. Sitting, meditation. Clean your consciousness, clean your heart, and remember God. So, I wish you all the best. And all those bhaktas with us through webcast, I also send them the blessings of Sadāśiv, Devapurījī Mahādev, and prayers for you, his blessings. And wish you all a good journey, and also to our dear children. Now, children can come and get a chocolate. Until then, we will make abhiṣeka mantra, okay? So, children can come, and you, Mangalpuri, you give the children one chocolate, okay? They will come, small children, if they want. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ. And please, someone come and give prasāda. Oṃ Tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṃ Tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt.... So today the prasāda comes to Śivjī: carrots, bole, different fruits, and so on. I don’t know how it was a vegetable in the high Himalaya; there was a lot of snow and ice. But it is his māyā. That Swāmījī didn’t call me on the reception. On this, on the reception she said that you want chocolate? For you, chocolate is not good. This is good, Guru Mukhi. Okay. So, if I have forgotten someone, please come, and if not, then don’t be sad. Christine, where is Christine? You can give it to her after, okay? This is for Christine. Mahimā Jyoti? Yes. She was working here in the ashram? Okay. This is for Mahimā Jyoti. Come, all. And Yanna also? This is for Mahima Jyoti. Okay, something very good. So this is for Parvati and Daya. I wish you a very, very good journey. Please drive carefully and slowly, especially here when you go out. Everybody tries to go quickly. Yesterday, two accidents happened, so drive carefully.
