Satya Yuga and Kali Yuga is within you, Sunshine Coast

The inner states of Satya and Kali Yuga exist within each person. The external Kali Yuga is a cosmic age lasting thousands of years. The internal Kali Yuga is the presence of negative qualities like hate, greed, and anger. The internal Satya Yuga is the knowledge of ultimate truth, which is Brahman—everlasting truth, consciousness, and bliss. The manifested world is temporary. Never think you are the sole actor carrying the burden; a higher power provides for all. As long as ignorance persists, one is in an inner Kali Yuga. Love and devotion purify. In this age, devotion is the primary path; repeating the divine name is the greatest practice. True devotion is an unbreakable rope of love that liberates. God bestows wisdom and supreme happiness. Live in the world with joy, performing your duties without judging others.

"Kaliyuga keval nāma ādhāra." Only we have one saviour in the Kaliyuga: the name.

"Nothing can tie me, nothing can prison me... but not this rope. Why not? Because this is the rope of love."

Part 1: The Inner Yuga: Satya and Kali Within Kamalachalam sarvaddhi-sākṣibhūtaṁ bhavatītaṁ uttamanamah. Śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ. Salutation to our holiness, salutation to the cosmic light, Lord of our hearts, omniscient and omnipresent, His Divine Presence. Good evening, dear sisters. It’s a blessing to be here together at the Ashram, Yoganda Life, Sunshine Coast, and thank you, dear Yamunā and Tyāgpuri, and all other devotees, for making this program so we could be together. There was a question inside about Kali Yuga. When will the Kali Yuga end? Good question. There are two kinds of Kali Yugas. One is according to the Yugas, and still some thousands of years are left for the Kali Yuga. Time is running. Soon we will have a few thousand years behind us, and we will awake in the beautiful, divine Satya Yuga. The second kind of Kali Yuga is within ourselves. When we have negative qualities, when we have the symptoms which are described in the śāstras—what Kali Yuga is and what Kali Yuga will do and is doing—all our negative qualities like hate, jealousy, greed, anger, violence, negative thinking, this is a part of Kali Yuga within us. Satyuga is also within us: our knowledge, that knowledge of God, Brahma, Satya, Jagat, Mithyā. If you are searching for the truth, what is the truth, then the ultimate truth is only one, that’s called Brahman, the supreme, the highest, the universal one. That’s everlasting, nitya, immortal, amar, nirañjan, without any sport. Sat-cit-ānanda: the truth, the consciousness, and the bliss. Brahma Satya, that is the truth you are searching for. Jagat Mithyā: all that is happening in this world, what we call good or bad, is temporary. It will come, it will go. But the grace of God will continue. Never think that you are the one who is doing. Never think that without you there will be nothing more. Never think you are the best one. There’s one little story. A farmer family moved from one village to another village, and they had a horse buggy, a horse coach. A beautiful horse, a strong horse, a good horse. Every horse is beautiful. We love horses. Every creature is beautiful. Now the farmer begins to put all the luggage in the buggy. It was big. They put all the furniture, mattresses, cooking pots, and so on. They had one cat, and they put the cat up inside. They had two chickens, two, three also in the buggy. Three children are also there. Grandfather and grandmother are also sitting in, and parents. They had food, they had water, so it was quite heavily loaded. Now the horse was pulling the buggy, and they had a nice dog. The horse is pulling the buggy and running. All are sitting in it, but the dog didn’t want to sit. He was running behind, and then he went under the buggy, running with the steps of the horse. After three or four kilometers, the dog begins to think: "It is not justice. It is not love. There is no ahiṃsā, non-violence. There is no mercy. All are sitting on my back, including the buggy. I can’t carry so much." But anyhow, he’s my family’s dog. It was running. After half a kilometer, again the dog was thinking, "No, I can’t pull this off," and he stopped. The buggy continues moving. What? He’s going without me. So he asked the farmer. The farmer said, "My dear dog, what do you think was wrong? You are not the one who is pulling the buggy. That is someone else, and that is a horse." Similarly, when we think that we take all the burden of the world on us and we are working hard, or we take the burden of the whole family and we are working and working, don’t think like that. There is someone else who is taking care of everyone. Kiri ko kān, hati ko man. It is he who is providing the food to all creatures. Who are you to provide the food to someone? Kiri ko kaan: a little ant even gets a little corn of rice or sugar or something. And hati ko man: an elephant, he gets 50 kilos, 80 kilos. We have no ability to provide for them, all creatures, visible and invisible to our eyes. There is only one, only one, that is the creator, that is God, or may we call Mother Nature, Cosmic Mother, Mother Earth, whatever we call. Everyone has their destiny, and we are struggling, or we are surviving, or we are living. We are happy or we are unhappy. Everything is somewhere else. Therefore, it is said, "O friend of the wicked one, O Lord of all, merciful, my Lord, the thread of my life, the rope of my life is in your hand." Please, sometimes, can you move this rope a little bit like this, that I come closer to thee, oh my Lord? So as long as we have ignorance, we are in Kali Yuga. And when we have that love and truth, love purifies and melts everything in beauty. Ignorance manifests the rocks of obstacles, the clouds of darkness, and the stormy sea. And then our boat in the middle of the sea is disbalanced. You never know. So one said, "Mother, oh mother, how far is the shore? I have to go a far distance to a place or city." Mājī oh mājī, kitnā dūr kinārā. Moī dūr nagariyā jānā. I have to go to the very far city of the heaven or Brahmaloka. Beautiful bhajan, song. Mā jī yo dānā. How far is the shore? I have to go to the far distance. High waves and stormy sea. Black clouds and lightning. Can’t see my way, O mother. How far is the shore? Kāma krodha ne mujhko gherā, the passion, the anger. Kāma krodhne mujhko gherā, they have attacked me, they surrounded me like an enemy. Kāma krodhne mujhko gherā, lobha mohakā banā baserā, and greed and attachment, ignorance. That is catching me, pulling me to be with them. Oh mother, where is the peaceful soul? I have to go. That’s calling, the call of the soul to the divine. You may call it Brahman, you may call it mother, or you may call it the supreme one. So Satyuga is within you, and Kali Yuga is within you. You are living peacefully, beautifully, nicely, enjoying, happy, and suddenly you get bad news. You are again sad, very sad, very sad. So this is one after another unfoldment of the consciousness, where the different layers are there. And sometimes these layers are so big and so thick, like what we call under the earth, the plate. Maybe it’s from Australia, from Sunshine Coast, until maybe coming out to America or somewhere else. And when an earthquake takes place here, it’s moving this plate. It’s moving everywhere. All where our relation, where our fancy, where our everything, this plate of our heart is connected to the entire. Viśva, Prāṇī, Merī, Ātmā. All are myself, myself. But this Kali Yuga attacks our brain and intellect, as what we call the earthquake. That time, everything is shaken. But again, that mother, that love. Kaliyuga keval nāma ādhāra. Śumira śumira narahoy bhavapāra. Great Tulsidās in the Rāmāyaṇa said, "Kaliyuga keval nām ādhāra." Only we have one saviour, one hope in the Kaliyuga: nāma, the name, the name of Śumbira. Śumbira nārāyaṇa bhavapāra. Repeat the name of God, sing the bhajans, bhakti. So Kali Yuga bhakti is pradhāna. The major thing in Kali Yuga is devotion, because this is the easiest way. When they were singing nicely, how beautiful we felt. The singing, this instrument, this resonance, this vocal thing, doesn’t need translation. Now, someone speaks Japanese here, some speak German, some speak only French, some speak English, some speak only Hindi. But all, when they were singing, were enjoying. That’s called the sound of the soul, the call of the soul to the language of the heart. And the language of the heart doesn’t need. Therefore, one Mahātma, a great Mahātma, said in his bhajan, "Bhagatīro Daṇḍata, Dījī Māraguru Devakā Deva, Bhagatīro Daṇḍata, O my Gurudev, give me, give me blessings, give me only one blessing." If you have bhakti, faith in God, there is no tsunami that can move you. And when bhakti comes, God stands up. Where bhakti is going, God is going behind, walking with you. And what is that bhakti? Love. There is a little story about God Kṛṣṇa. He had a very beautiful life, a playful life, a joyful life, a divine place, and divine children. There is one question, Swamiji: how to maintain the peace, because sometimes children are not so nice, and they are angry, and then I lose my temperament, or whatever, I lose my peace. No, no, that is a līlā, that is a glory, that is a beauty of the children. You know, after a few years, that will change, and you will be sorry. Oh, my children were so nice and jumping up and down. When the baby is 10 days old, 1 day old, and you know, after 1 month, that old, it’s not here anymore. In one year, it’s different. And then he was holding a finger and making one step, two steps, falling down again. After a few months, that’s gone, and then finally the time will come again. So you have to walk with what you call a walker. So it’s coming, going, coming. Don’t lose your peace in the heart. It doesn’t matter if it comes. May the moon and sun change their way. The worlds of the Mahāpuruṣ, the great sages, the masters, will never go empty, never will change. Therefore, even the mighty Himalaya begins to shake. But my devotion, my faith will not shake. And in this bhajan, it is also said, "I am not asking for wealth. I am not asking for a partner. I am not asking for money. I am not asking for mokṣa, liberation. I don’t ask for anything, only one thing. Lord, my devotion, my love to you." It means in every life, and that is very selfish of us, you know. Always, we will be with him. Good? Always, we are protected. So there, Kṛṣṇa always used to take the butter away, sometimes taking it away from the other’s house. And they went to complain to Krishna’s mother that your son came and he took away this pot of butter. And she said, "What? Krishna is sitting there and eating food there at home." They couldn’t complain. They said, "He is here." Okay, they went back. Next time again, they saw Krishna is there. They ran home quickly, and what they saw was Krishna just barging into the home. He is not there. That is called Sarvatra, everywhere, omniscient, omnipresent. One day, all the gopīs—all this milk—gopī means disciples; gop means disciple. Gopīs are the female disciples, and gop are the male disciples. They saw Kṛṣṇa taking this butter pot, and they shut the door and they caught him. Now they didn’t go there. They wanted to tie him with a rope, many, many ropes, but nothing could tie him. No, nothing could tie him there. They closed the door. The door opens. They locked the door. The door lock breaks. And he is standing there. One gopī came, and she brought a very old, nearly rotten rope. And she said, "I brought the strongest rope. Krishna cannot break this. Tie him with this rope to the pillar." And this is a rope of love, bhakti. And Krishna put his hands, and they tied him. And now all went to his mother. "Come and see your son." There were other boys saying, "Krishna, you always play mighty one, strong one. What are you doing? Can’t you break this rope? So this is an old one." Krishna said, "Yes, my friends, nothing can tie me, nothing can prison me, nothing can hold me. I am like the wind. Nothing can, no one can own me. I am like space. And no one, and I belong to no one. But I will always be with all, with everyone. I can break everything, but not this rope. Why not? Because this is the rope of love. This tie I can’t break. There is no power in the universe which can tie me, but only one: bhakti, devotion, and love." Our devotion will liberate us; our devotion will free us. So in Kali Yuga, we can have Sat Yuga, or we can have a Kali Yuga. Healthy, unhealthy is always there. Who is 100% healthy here? Something we have, someone, a white, I mean, become lay someone, a white, I mean, see lace someone at that. I really someone at keep me problem, some a gallbladder, so it would problem, so many a problem, so many hair-falling problems, yeah, many so shining. But just chanting God’s name is the greatest thing, the best practice. So you need not stand on your head, need not sit in lotus, need not sit for hours and hours. You need not fast. Enjoy, eat, and enjoy. But have that love, that devotion. So we need to have a solid decision. There was one bhajan sung by sister Saraswati. Her name is Saraswati, and Saraswati means the goddess of wisdom. Every student who is studying is a devotee of Saraswati. In Indian schools, they pray every morning to the goddess Sarasvatī. In some schools, they have beautiful statues; in some schools, they have pictures only. And Saraswati, her chariot is the owl, ulu, no, the night bird. Owl is a symbol of wisdom in every tradition. She has the white swan, a beautiful white swan. And that swan is the symbol of the soul, pure knowledge, pure wisdom. And in her hands, she has a beautiful sitar, or guitar, or tanpura, an instrument, because the wisdom is the resonance that goes through and through. Who understands the resonance? The heart will melt. And who doesn’t understand? One will feel disturbed. The form of the Supreme is the resonance. Then Saraswatī has a book in her hand. Why? God? For what? God is of wisdom. God is of knowledge. Need a book still, because he said the wisdom has no limitation. So we always pray, "O Lord, bless me. O Mother Saraswati, please come and reside in my heart. And O Lord, speak from my heart. You speak; I am only the channel, that’s all." Then the Saraswatī speaks in you. Bhajan was a beautiful bhajan written by Guruji. You see, it’s not easy to get realization; it’s not easy to realize your master. If you want to know how one realizes the master, you should have spent time with the Guru. There are some bhaktas who stayed for years with Gurujī. He had eighteen hours of mantra practice, but in the name of Mahāprabhujī. And he said, "Whatever he needs, Mahāprabhujī gives him, whatever he needs." Guruji said, "I am not a beggar anymore. I don’t depend on anyone. He will give me. He is giving. Sab kush deve dātā dayāl." Sab kush, everything, giving, the giver, Mahāprabhujī, the merciful Mahāprabhujī. Sab kush deve dātā dayāl. Don’t be the beggar of anywhere. Only we are beggars at the door of the Lord. That’s all. Sab kush deve dātā dayāl. Janam janam kā dharī dharmete. He can delete, he can remove all the poverty and suffering of many, many lives. Mahādhana detā viśāl. He gives the great richness. No one can give you that richness which the Mahāprabhujī Gurujī can give. And what is that richness? Wisdom. Anyone can take things from your hand, pickpocket everything. But what you have here from your Gurudev and bhakti here in your heart, no one can. In India, we used to say, in the Rajasthani language, Mīrā Bāī said, the great bhakta Mīrā, "While eating nice pudding, halvā, or a nice cake, while eating nice cake, if your teeth are ripped off, it doesn’t matter, eat. While meditating and doing bhakti, if other people are laughing at you, let them laugh, correct?" He removes all our suffering, all our death. Gurudev can take away and give us that wealth which no one else can give us. What does he give? More. Jñāna-dhyāna-deve yoga-āru-yuga. He gives the wisdom, jñāna. Part 2: The Path of Grace and Realization He leads one to meditation and grants the realization of Yoga—union with the Supreme. He teaches the technique of how to achieve yugatī: Jñāna-dhyāna-deve yoga-āru-yugati Anadevāyatam Gyanāyojīyaladevāyatam Gyanāyojīyalasvakuśadevedatadipadāyatam. Beyond this, he bestows knowledge, meditation, unifying Yoga, and the techniques. Ultimately, Devā Ātmā Jñāna Ujjvala—he gives us that enlightenment of Self-realization and practice. Without a doubt, you will attain it. He can grant you the eight siddhis. You should read the Leelā Amṛt book; it contains a complete explanation of which siddhis exist. The eight siddhis (Aṣṭa siddhi), the nine nidhis, and the nine objects of happiness—that happiness which awakens within you and also surrounds you. The nine riddhi is a beautiful word that cannot be translated exactly. Like the nine precious stones, the qualities of these nine jewels are within you. They reside within thyself, in thy chakra. He can open the door to your happiness, a happiness no one can take from you. No one. If you are happy and someone tells you, "Don't be happy always," will someone say that? But inside, you remain happy. These are universal principles: happiness, joy, peace, love. God has given them free of charge; we don't have to pay any tax. How nice. He will give you enough to eat, do not worry. Āna—nourishment. Dhana—material wealth. He gives you so much. Don't worry; don't feel poor. I always tell my disciples and students—I am also a disciple—we are so rich you cannot imagine, because we possess the Mahābhārata. Such richness he has given us. And the good thing is that wisdom, knowledge, and bhakti (devotion) are things you can use as much as you like; they will never end. Where there is no devotion, only intellect, it is like water in a tank. When the tank is empty, there is no more water, and you have to borrow. So when your intellectual knowledge and experience are exhausted, you go to the library and look in a book again for the next day's lecture. But when you have an unending source, a channel of devotion, it will never end. It will never dry up; it will always be there. As Gurujī said in one Vājan: "Prakāś punj amṛt ke śagar śrī dīpa harī mahā dhani." Prakāś puñj—the source of light. Prakāś puñj amṛt ke śagar—an ocean of nectar. Śrī Dīpa Hari Mahā Dhani—a great giver, Hari Mahāprabhū Dīpa. Sare viśva meṁ guñj rahī prabhu kī amarā kahānī. Throughout the entire universe, the name of Mahāprabhujī resonates. Like Saraswatī was chanting, "Glory to wisdom." Śabadukāmete paramasukadeve. He will remove all your sorrows and troubles. Do not worry. Paramasukadeve. He will give you the highest, supreme happiness—the supreme bliss. He cuts the net of ignorance, attachment, and suffering for all creatures, not only humans. If you desire beauty, he will grant you that beauty. What beauty? The beauty of the Supreme, the beauty of devotion, the beauty of knowledge. The beauty we ordinarily seek is very temporary; it is merely a happiness or joy for our eyeballs. But that true beauty is indescribable: Satyam Śivam Sundaram. That is Śiva: Truth (Satyam), Consciousness (Śivam), Beauty (Sundaram). He gives you strength. He will give you the strength to stand firm, to persevere, so that you can liberate many others. He will make you the hero of this mortal world. He will help you to be successful, the victor over this Māyā. You will definitely attain liberation if you possess that love, that devotion. There is no question about it. Between him and us, there should be no curtain. Even a very thin curtain is still a curtain. Bhakti Brahmāṇḍa kā rājādeva pālame. In no time, Mahāprabhujī can grant you the kingdom of the entire universe—if you have that love, if you are worthy. But Gurujī said, "I don't want this burden. I want to be with you, Mahāprabhujī." Mahā vardān sadā yahī māṅgu, janam janam haridās rakhī jo. I ask you, Mahāprabhujī, for only one thing—the greatest wish of mine: that in every life I remain your servant, that I am with you. Nothing else. And what do we wish? "Please help me so my studies will be okay." "Mahāprabhujī will help me so my examination will be okay." "Now everything is okay, but I have no job. Please give me a job." We have many, many wishes. We are worldly people, so what should we do? Vishwapati Banate Bhopal. There is a good 'N'—not Barate, 'N', okay? Banate Viśvapati, banate Bhopal, sab kusā devī ratā deep dayā nijamanase koī bhagati karata. Truly, with heart and mind, if you have devotion to God, he will always take care of you. God takes upon himself the destiny of the devotee. God takes upon himself the destiny of the devotee. Parents take upon themselves the responsibility of the child. True? Yes? In Australia, nobody answered. This is a problem. In Europe, they will say yes. I think one should not ask the Australian. When I ask, he says, "Okay, you don't like?" Who would like to go? Please, raise your hand. In Europe and in India, they will say, "Yes, please." Yes, no. Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no, let us go. Selfish devotion, tricky devotion, only for a while, please, please... and afterwards it disappears. God knows what you are, what is going on in your mind and heart. So Kṛṣṇa is happy, Kṛṣṇa is pleased, and Kṛṣṇa blesses where there is true love—not tricky love, not temporary love, but true love. Kar hit kar yasa koi nahi. Gurujī said, "I didn't see anyone doing selfless service like Mahāprabhujī in this world." Swārtha bina karate niṣkāma—without expectations, without any reward, he renders or showers blessings. I received many letters from Gurujī, always with blessings: "May the blessing of the nectar of the blessing of Mahāprabhujī shower upon thee, O Maheś, forever." Some of these letters I will print in my story of the life. I need someone who can write. Sabha kuśa devīdhātā dī jo nara nārī ve dukhyārī hoyā, kaṅgala alā vo dukhyārī hoyā, kaṅgala. Sabha kuśa devīdhātā jo nara nārī, nindā karathe—criticizes God, criticizes Gurudevī. Finally, they will be very unhappy, troublesome, and they will lose all the wealth they gained through their devotion. Therefore, if you cannot dry the tears, do not be the cause of tears. If you cannot speak good, then at least do not speak bad. Yes? The three monkeys. Thank you. Śrī Deep Dayal, Śrī Deep Mahāprabhujī—Dayal means the Merciful One. He is the ocean of mercy. All who are devotees of God—it does not matter whose devotee you are; a bhakta is a bhakta. Whether you are a bhakta of Kṛṣṇa, Rāma, Buddha, Jesus, or any master... God has no duality. Duality is ours, people's. "I am a disciple of this one. I don't like that one." We have this. God does not. Mahāprabhujī and great masters always speak well of every master. Limited knowledge, small knowledge, makes more noise. When a big, nice car passes by your door, you hardly notice. But a moped comes—my god, you hear it from the fourth street. Small knowledge makes more noise, so we should not have small knowledge; we should not be narrow-minded. Let us be open, complete—all God's bhaktas from every religion, every culture. A devotee is a devotee. He did not say, "Only my bhaktas." Gurujī didn't say it; Mahāprabhujī didn't say it. We may sometimes translate that our Gurudev said, "Only my bhaktas." We do, but not they. So we are still in ignorance. Śrī Mādhavānandake Ānandbhā. Our Gurujī Mādhavānandjī said, "I have such great happiness, great joy, ānanda." Shrī Mādhāvanānanda ke ānanda bhā. Pal pal let sambhal, pal pal let sambhal, sab kush deva data, sab kush deva data. Every second, he looks after me. He takes care of me. When a fresh baby is born, how often the mother goes to see if the baby is sleeping okay, if its nose is not covered. How the parents, every second, every hour, look after the child. Be a child, then God will take care of you. Don't you trust him? Don't you believe in him? If you don't believe, then suffer. But if you believe, then it will be. Sometimes it is not easy. God administers a very hard test. Jesus said, "Holy Father, why me?" He said, "Because, my son, I trust you." And he did not give up because he believed in the Holy Father. That is our case. We should be like that. Om Shānti Shānti. This evening was for questions and answers, but this was a beautiful bhajan to translate, I think. Did you like it? Thank you. I have answered three questions already within this. Okay. I bought a Yoga and a Life book. You would like to read it; it's very nice. I'm happy for it. According to your body, health situation, physical, mental—all conditions about children, I have already told. Suggestions, please: keep on track with meditation, day by day and storm by storm. Just practice. Do not let your laziness be your friend. "I am just finding the spiritual path. How do I assist my family to understand if they do not have the same belief?" You should continue your sādhanā. Do not judge your family. Who are you to judge them? Who are you to praise them? You can explain once what you are doing. If they like it, they can do it. But you should have very beautiful family relations and family life. Love your parents, love your partners, love your children, love your house pets, love your flowers, love your gardens. This is a very long question. Someone can tell me in one word. All in one word. What about? "Is it necessary to withdraw from the world?" Yes, one day—the last day, when you can't breathe anymore. You know, there was a question at a conference about pollution problems in the world, living now in a "use and throw" world. One asked, "But where? Use and throw—where to throw?" Wherever you throw, it is still on this planet. So, is it necessary to withdraw from the world? No. Achieve oneness. One can live in the world. Please, please live in the world. Maybe you don't like it, but we need you. The world needs you. That is why I am always traveling, experiencing many things: good, bad, pleasant, unpleasant, hard, good. But I said I am not traveling for myself. I know there are people who need guidance. I don't live for myself; I live for someone. Many people live only for themselves, but rare are those who live for others. There are people who die for themselves, but rare are those who die for others. "Can we live in the world and still be able to do it? How can we enjoy all that God has given?" You should know how to enjoy what God has given. So enjoy—that is a very good word. You should always be inside the joy. When you have no inner joy, then you cannot enjoy. So in joy—that joy within you is the fountain of joy, within you is the ocean of bliss, within you is the divine Self. Kill this little "I," the ego, and lead the divine life, as Swami Śivānandajī of Ṛṣikeś said. "How can we enjoy all that God has given without losing our self to this?" You will never lose your Self. Just be happy. Do good. Help everyone. If you can't help, then at least don't destroy. Karma will come back. If you can't build up someone's faith, at least don't destroy it. A family member goes on a spiritual path others don't like, so they should not, at least, disturb this person. That which has been spiritually built in no time, with no sleep... "What should I do? Why don't you have time? There are 24 hours, oh my God." If you have a lot of pain and the doctor says, "The doctor will come to operate on you in 24 hours," you know how many of you are like this? If you have a lot of pain, no? So, sleep 8 hours. Now you have 16 hours. Work eight hours. Oh, your economy will blossom. Who is working eight hours continuously without, in between, drinking juice and cola and this and that? But still, you have eight hours. When you have to fly on an airplane for eight hours and your seat is very narrow, you know, it is endless time. So now you still have eight hours. Eight hours sleeping, eight hours working—you still have eight hours. What are you doing in this? Cooking, washing, okay? Who's cooking every day? Lucky one. You are going quickly, buying fast food. But okay, cooking, shopping—one hour, one and a half hours. Eating—one hour. Okay, still you have five hours. What are you doing with these five hours? Telephoning, this and that—take two hours. Now you still have three hours. Practice yoga in these three hours before going to sleep; otherwise, your sleep will not be complete because you will wake up again very fresh and can't sleep. Some people practice yoga nidra before going to sleep at night. That's not good. Sleep is very necessary for our body and mind. Sleep is the only thing that remains with us in this Kali Yuga, in this hectic world, to become free from stress. So sleep, please. At least six good hours you should sleep. One day is okay, two days is okay, but finally, sleep. If you don't sleep enough, you will lose your memory. It will create distress for you. "What does real freedom mean?" When everybody will come and accompany us to the beautiful ground funeral, then we are free from this world. So real freedom is to become free from rebirth and death, from this circle of 8.4 million different creatures, to come to the Brahmaloka, to the divine. But is it difficult? The easiest way is Bhakti Yoga. Then God will do everything for you. Wherever you come as you are, a devotee of God, it will be an open door for you automatically. So, good questions are never asked by somebody in life. What? You see, I should work in the chemistry shop so that I can read all kinds of writings. "Swāmījī, my life’s work has brought to light the common scientific origin of every religion. Beautiful. You need to get this knowledge out there quickly. Can you help me?" Read all the holy books. Read the Vedas and read the Upaniṣads. Then you will get it. Finally, it is said: one in all, all in one. The truth is only one. God is only one. He has many names, many forms, or no form, but He is only one. And for that, even God has no title. We don't say Dr. God, Engineer God, or Nobel Prize winner God. Just God. You know how beautiful He is. Just love. There is no so-called Dr. Love. Just love. God. Peace. Happiness.
