Be the ocean of the mercy
The aim of human life is to realize the divine Self through grace, not mere ritual meditation. If one gives meditation only to the mind, one runs from true Self-knowledge. There are two lights: the physical and the light of Brahman, which is the eternal Ātmā. This supreme light, the wisdom of Parabrahma, removes all ignorance. Daya, or mercy, is the foundation of dharma. Without it, human life is no different from an animal's, focused only on eating and sleeping. A story illustrates this: a skeptical, non-vegetarian man from a royal family met a holy teacher. Though initially resistant, he was miraculously saved from a flooded river after calling upon the Guru. This experience transformed him; he renounced his old ways, purified his home, and sought the Guru with devotion. Upon seeing the divine master, he melted in tears and voluntarily gave up all vices. The master's gracious look alone can destroy bad karma. The disciple's role is to keep the altar of the heart steadfast, meditating with one's true Self, free from external influence. In that state, one realizes "I am Brahman," beyond all duality and confusion.
"Om Dīp Jyoti Parabrahma. This light of the Brahman removes all the darkness or the ignorance everywhere."
"Without dayā, a human life is not a human life. Humans are the form of the dayā."
