Blessing from holy mother

Sanātana Dharma is the eternal truth recognizing the one Brahman within all existence. This reality is described in the ancient Vedas. The world is changeable, yet every atom represents that divine light. Spiritual wisdom cultivates equal vision, seeing beyond form to the inner essence. All genuine religious paths speak of the same omnipresent God. Life is structured into stages for study, household duties, gradual withdrawal, and final renunciation for self-realization. The philosophy of non-duality, taught by Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, affirms the oneness of all. Ceremonies, including those for passing, honor the divine light within. A Śakti Pīṭha is a sacred seat of divine energy, established where aspects of the universal Mother are revered. The final moments of a pure life are a divine convergence of karma and grace.

"Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithyā. The Brahman is the final truth, and this world is Mithyā because it is changeable."

"Spirituals are they, wise are they; kṣamā draṣṭi, śānti means kṣamā draṣṭi, and kṣamā draṣṭi means equal vision."

Yad evi sarva bhūteṣhu jñāna rūpeṇa namo namaḥ, Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavānakī. Good evening, dear brothers, sisters, and spiritual seekers. Blessings come to you from holy Bhārat, Jādon Rājasthān. Unfortunately, I could not be with you for nearly the last week due to some physical disturbances—fever and flu. I would like to express my thankfulness to all the bhaktas, devotees, practitioners of yoga, and daily life around the world who sent their condolences about Māṭājī’s passing away. You have seen the beautiful ceremony, the Mahāśramādhi, and I would like to tell you a little about this first. Also, I welcome today our very dear Sādhvīswāmī Śāntipurījī from Vienna, Austria. She arrived today. As well, I thank you, Dr. Vera from the Czech Republic, for serving Nāmātājī. Also, I wish a good journey to our dear Mahāmaṇḍalī Sir Swāmī Jasrāj Purī Jī. He is on a tour to different parts of the world, to different countries, so I wish him a good journey. The ceremony which took place—what and how it happens—many may think it is not necessary to tell, but I think in every culture, tradition, country, and denomination, there are different processes and ceremonies. It may be the birth ceremony, the name ceremony, the marriage ceremony, birthday ceremonies, as well as the funeral and other different occasions. Sanātana Dharma is known as eternal Dharma. It is the first Dharma which is known; even the Vedas, which are the first scriptures or holy books in the world, written more than 10,000 years ago, also describe Sanātana Dharma and only one God, that is Brahman, which is Nirguṇa, just like space. That Īśvara, Parameśvara, Ātmā, Jīvātmā is described in different forms. And of course, our beautiful planet, each and every grain of sand, each and every drop of water, each and every blade of grass or any part of the vegetation, every creature no matter the form, and of course humans—all are representing that Brahman, that Supreme. Everyone is that Supreme, and that is the reality. Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithyā. The Brahman is the final truth, and this world is Mithyā because it is changeable. But though it is changeable, in each and every atom it is representing the Brahman, the light of the Brahman. Those who are known as Jīvanmukta, self-realized, or the Trikādaśī, or who have a little spiritual wisdom, even a small spirituality inside, see God’s light in every atom. Therefore, every religion on this planet speaks about God as indescribable, omniscient, and omnipresent. That is Sanātana Dharma, and in this Sanātana Dharma, we humans are also included. After certain climates of the spot on the earth and different mentalities, how they grow and develop, the kind of life they lead, for their happiness or for the said occasions, they act differently. Not only humans, but animals too. So, the festivals, ceremonies, the Maṅgalkārya or Amaṅgalkārya—Maṅgalkārya is divine, spiritual, good, and Amaṅgal is unfortunately not good, like funerals, what we call death, and so on. But finally, it is to be recognized and celebrated, that divine light. Therefore, it is said, kṣamā draṣṭi. Spirituals are they, wise are they; kṣamā draṣṭi, śānti means kṣamā draṣṭi, and kṣamā draṣṭi means equal vision. Do not look to the form, do not look to the material things, but look at what is within, and that is the light of the Brahman. That is the message of Sanātana Dharma to the whole world. Sanātana Dharma is not based on any particular incarnation, though from time to time on this planet there are holy incarnations. Their followers and disciples manifested or realized them as divine, as holy, similar to God. The time will come; you see, Jesus today is around the world—how many billions of people believe that Jesus is God? Though we do not say he is God because he always said, "I am the son of God." Similarly, the Prophet Muhammad did not say he is God; he said he is a messenger, a prophet. Though he did not say he is God, he said he is Allah. So you can say Allah or Īśvara, or Holy Father. Allāh Īśvara terā nām, sabko sanmati de bhagavān. O God, O Lord, Allah and Īśvara is Thy name. Lord, give everyone good thoughts, good intellect, viveka and wisdom, sadbuddhi, the goodness in their intellect. Ishwar Allah Tera Naam, Sabko Sanmodi Dev Bhagwan. So, Raghupati Rāghava Rāja Rāma or Patita Pāvana Sītā Rāma. The old dynasty of the Raghukula, Bhagavān God, Rāma and Sītā together. Similarly, there are immense examples and immense dynasties which we see in different forms. Those who believe in Buddhism—the Buddha was a Hindu. Buddha was a prince, and when he realized, he is known as an enlightened one, called a Bodhisattva. The Bodhi. Bodhi is intellect. When the intellect becomes wise, then it is called the realized one. When the intellect is polluted, then comes vikṣepa, kleśa, dualities, anger, hate, greed, jealousy, sadness, happiness, compassion, qualities, and so many different things changing in that brain. That is what we call it; it is still at the very lower level of consciousness. This one will go in the next life into lower forms of life. Therefore, it is said: enlighten thyself with thy spiritual exercises—concentrations, prayers, and mantras. According to this, the oldest culture and one of the best philosophies is known as Vedānta philosophy, and the oldest spiritual culture is known as Vedic culture. The Vedic age, yugas and yugas—a yuga is not a hundred years; yugas are many thousands of millions of years. So in the yugas, Vedic culture says that humans have four parts of life, divided into four spans. From birth until the 25th year is called Brahmacharya, meaning your study time. For 25 years, you must concentrate on your study, your profession, and everything. After 25 years, you enter the gṛhastha āśrama, married life, and you run your gṛhastha āśrama for 25 years. That means until 50 years. After 50 years, you likely have children who are nearly 20, 18, 23 years old. Find a good profession for them and give everything to your children: all the cultural authorities, traditions, spiritualities, cultural, religious, and everything, what richness you have. Our richness is our culture, our spirituality, our tradition, our social life, and so on. Money is not richness. The richness is what we have got as a human in the human form, in human societies, and to contribute to human societies. Besides this, also comes the part of material life: artha, dharma, kāma, mokṣa. This earth is the material life, the wealth. So now, equally divide to thy children. Do not make differences between son and daughter, says Vedic dharma, because both have equal rights, and both are the ātmā, the same. Unfortunately, some people said women have no soul. Nothing can exist without a soul, so I think we should not make discrimination. Even the grass has a life. Then how can we say the life and the soul? The part of the soul in it, what grows, what is living, is a soul. Therefore Vedānta said, "Eko’haṁ bahusyāmime"—I am the one, and I multiply myself. And that’s why Brahma Satya Jagat Mithyā. When you come to the Vanaprastha Āśrama, the third āśrama, there you hand over to your children and give them good instructions. Watch them, overlook, observe, oversee if they are independent enough to lead their life further and continue the family tradition. When 75 years come, then you should renounce and go to the monastery or the ashram or huts in the jungle or somewhere in a cave, peacefully meditate, and spend the time for your realization. This is now in a poor ashram. After 75 years, it is called sannyāsa āśram. Sannyāsa means renunciation. After that, as long as God has given you life, it does not matter if you are initiated as a sannyāsī or not, but that is counted as your sannyāsa āśram life. In that way, Ādiguru Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya, who brought the philosophy of non-dualism, non-duality. There is a big problem: duality, dualism. At that time, Śaṅkarācārya came to create the understanding: there is no duality, there is oneness. Ātmā is one, sky is one, blood color from all is one. We have five elements; each element is the same, therefore no duality. Ādiguru Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya traveled around the whole of India, which was big at that time, extending till Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq—those were the borders of India. Śaṅkarācārya said, "The end of everyone’s duty is, if you are a monk or sannyāsī, it does not matter. At the end of the life of your mother, you should do the funeral ceremony. You should be with her." That time happened, and Śaṅkarācārya wrote a beautiful explanation, which is followed by all. That is called Atur Saṁnyāsa Dīkṣā. When I spoke with our Akhaḍās, Mahāmaṇḍaleśvaras, who are together with the Śaṅkarācāryas, I asked them about ceremonies. They said, "Swāmījī, mother should be as a sannyāsī, Mahātmā, divine soul, and we will come. She should get abhiṣeka, sannyāsa dīkṣā." It is already there. So there was a ceremony to give Māṭājī Sannyāsa Dīkṣā, Atur Sannyāsa Dīkṣā. Then they asked, "Who is the guru of Māṭājī?" As a son, I cannot be the guru of Māṭājī. So, the guru of the king, the guru of the Mahārājā of Bikaner, the Rājguru, Mahāmanveśvara Viśvakānanda, Bhārtījī Mahārāj, gave his chādar, the orange cloth or orange salt. Akhārā sādhus came, many, many, and with great adoration and ceremonies they brought it. We had a very big, beautiful procession, which you observed in the webcast. Then it came from a Senāchārya, who is the Āchārya, Pitā Deśwar, of a particular tradition called Sena. There is a big story of the Sena Bhakta, which I told you many times, about his barber and the king’s story. You remember, my dears; otherwise I will repeat it next time. He was told by all these akhāḍās and sādhus, and they said, "Mātājī should be spoken as a holy mother." So they declared her as Mātājī, holy mother, and the Jadān Āśram and her place where we put her samādhi, they declared as a Śakti Pīṭha. Out of how many Śakti Pīṭhas are there in Hindustan? 52 Śakti Pīṭhas, which were made after when the Śakti and Śiva—the Śakti, the daughter of King Dakṣa—when Dakṣa made a Yajña, he did not invite his daughter Śakti nor Śiva. The daughter was very unhappy and felt neglected. Her husband went there, and Dakṣa did not respect his daughter. Satī gave up her life. Satī was married to Śiva, and when Śiva came to know this, he went and took the Śakti on his shoulder, and Śiva disappeared into the emptiness. Again, ages and ages, Śiva and Śakti were somewhere, and it is said this planet was going to be dark completely. So Brahmā and Viṣṇu and all other devas, all these forces, went to Bhagavān Viṣṇu and Brahmā and said, "Brahmājī, please do something, otherwise we will lose everything. We have to bring Śiva back. Without Śiva, the world will disappear, light will disappear. What will we... do? We will also disappear? We need our Lord Śiva, but where is he? Who has the power to find out, in this infinite, endless Ānanda Brahmāṇḍa, this endless universe, which part of the universe Śiva is having his Śakti with? He is in vairāgya, in ānanda." But who dared to go near Śiva at that time? Who can do something? Then God Viṣṇu, with His Sudarśana Cakra, sent the Sudarśana Cakra, and the body of the Śakti was cut into 52 pieces. Where these 52 pieces fell on different parts of the earth, those were declared as Śaktipīṭhas. One of those Śakti Pīṭhas where her heart fell is called Ambājī, near Abu Road or Mount Abu. Ambājī is there, and there is still the divine light burning from that time, and everybody adores that Śakti Pīṭha. So, Śakti Pīṭha: Śakti means power, energy, mother energy. Pīṭha means the holy place, the seat of that. This was spoken for our holy mother, that she is a holy mother, and she is not only the mother of Swāmījī, but they realized and described that she was a mother to everyone. I can tell you that all my dear bhaktas, devotees from around the world who were coming, Mother was giving equal love to everyone. Many devotees telephoned me and said, "Swāmījī, we will miss when we come to Jādon; Māṭājī was sitting near the Śiva temple giving people prasādi or prasād or blessings." So this is not our imagination. It is the reality, and that reality comes when you get equal vision, equality. That is how to call our Māṭājī. In that, they gave her a sannyāsa name: Puṇyānanda. Puṇya means a pure soul, that pure soul who has divine bliss. The pure soul, divine bliss, Puṇyānanda. Bhāratī, because of Viśvakānandajī, is a Bhāratī, not a Purī. We are Purī, but we are all the same in this. That was then spoken. Wherever this part of the body of the Śakti falls, it became a holy place. Each limb of the body where it fell, people today celebrate. Then again, Śiva came back and was married to Pārvatī, and then, you know, further all the stories, Śakti Pīṭha. So now we have established the Śakti Pīṭha here and Māṭājī’s temple in front of the Śakti Pīṭha. There are nine holy trees; eight are called peepal trees, a banyan. The peepal is what we call a female tree, and the male tree is called banyan. Banyan also has big leaves, and a peepal, when you break the leaf, white milk comes out. People... when you break the leaf... it doesn’t come? So these people, people, is celebrated by all the young girls and ladies in the month of April. It is celebrated every Monday or every time. Now, this was declared, recognized, experienced, and made, that those who go to Māṭājī Samādhi should make pradakṣiṇā seven or nine times around these holy trees, and then one pradakṣiṇā around Māṭājī Samādhi. You will see what energy you will gain, and spirituality, and many things. After, you should tell me what kind of wish came to be fulfilled, what kind of energy you felt, what experiences you had there when you come. So, this was a little story about Māṭājī. She was very beautiful, smiling very mercifully. Nobody could imagine how nice a face and smile she had. We had some, like our Prem Śānti from Vienna, or Gaṅgā from Jagrā, our Sītā from Jagrā, Pūlpurī from Jagrā. You are lagging. No decorations, and where are Dr. Vera and our dear, dear Gāyatrī? So this is where everyone had such a divine feeling and expression. All who saw could not tell that Māṭājī had passed away. She was sitting in her dignity, so beautifully, so good. We kept her for about 24 hours, and her body was not stiff—very flexible and very smiling. All the sannyāsīs and other people came; so many people came. From Kolkata people flew by aeroplane, from Bangalore, from Madras, from many different distances they flew to have Māṭājī’s last darśana. Lucky are they, our European foreign disciples; they also came and saw Māṭājī. So the Śakti Pīṭha, Puṇyānanda Bhāratī, pulled Devī Mātājī, the Holy Mother. You will have a temple, an opportunity to sit there, have your prayers, read your books. We will create a big, beautiful, nice park there. This is dedicated from me to the whole world for the sake of their spiritual development, for peace, and for those who have lost the love of anyone. They will find it near these peepal trees and Māṭājī’s samādhi, and they will fulfill their wish. So, my dear brothers and sisters, that is a glory. Now, two stories were created. One was about Śaṅkarācārya, because he went last from far distant Kashmir to South India to be with his mother and perform the funeral ceremony. They told, "I didn’t say," I am not saying that I did, and the same thing they said. And Swāmījī traveled from a far distance and came to Māṭājī. Until her last breath, Swāmījī was with her until the last time when we brought her to give the samādhi. In Śāstra, it says the first God is Mother. The first God is Mother. Mātṛ Devo Bhava, Pitṛ Devo Bhava, Ācārya Devo Bhava. Ṛṣi deva bhāva, but all comes after first kammatri deva bhāva. And mā, mother, is always a mother, and therefore it is said, "Mātā bhavatiṁ ku mātā." Mother can never be a bad mother, except some illnesses. It is said that you can have all, you will find everything in the world, but when mother or father is gone, you will not find them back again. That mother will not come, and when you see your father and mother’s face, that... in time, you will realize that love. So this is a divine feeling, and you know how kind a mother is. When a father is a little angry and wants to give a slap on the child’s face, it is the mother who will say, "No, no," you know. Immediately, she will push the father away and protect the child. So that means protection for all. Therefore, in our granthas, śāstras, everywhere, there is great adoration and devotion to the mother. This was the last two and a half, nearly three months, I spent. Because I knew last time when I was here at Gurujī’s Mahāsamādhi satsaṅg in October, I realized now Māṭājī will not see again the Holy Gurujī’s Mahāsamādhi. At that time, I already began to postpone my programs. Our dear Radhā Jī from Vienna always said, "Please, can you give me an activity program? Can you give me?" I said, "Yes and yes." I knew what is happening, what will happen, and so on. And Mahāprabhujī sends me a message: "Where, what is what?" Therefore, here, this was Māṭājī’s message. After 97 years, Māṭājī passed. So many people came. We had a procession with music, flowers, and a big divine light. It was very nice, and finally we all got the blessings. Also, in these last few years, nearly one decade, our dear Gāyatrī from the Czech Republic was serving Māṭājī. She was completely oneness with Māṭājī, and till Māṭājī’s last breath, she was day and night standing with her. You cannot imagine how great seva she did, and I would say now for us she is like next Māṭājī. She has immense love, wisdom, kindness, and passion, like Māṭājī had. So you see, you cannot say that. It’s like that, but it comes from all. Have doesn’t have such luck from God. When Holy Gurujī passed away, on that day, scientists say there was a big explosion in the sun at the same time. All the scientific newspapers and magazines were writing about that; do you remember? Here, when Māṭājī passed away and she got her samādhi, it was one of the best constellations you can wait or expect in the astrological calendar. It’s called Sūrya Guru Puṣya Nakṣatra Amṛt Vela. Sūrya Puṣya, which one was it? I forgot exactly. Ravi Puṣya Guru Amṛta Nakṣatra. So Sūrya Guru Puṣya is very divine. Those who know astrology will understand, and on that day to get samādhi is very rare. Those lucky ones can have it. You cannot choose; this is a problem. You can only, through your spirituality, get such occasions. You can say, "Good, on that day I will commit suicide." You can commit suicide, but you cannot get the samādhi. Then they will take your body to the police and do a post-mortem and everything. You cannot force it, and you cannot choose; it is not chosen, it is given. That is the difference. Everyone prays to have such a great opportunity or luck, to have this nakṣatra when we will be given samādhi or when we give our life up. So, my dear, only one thing: practice, practice, practice. Viśva prāṇī merī ātmā hai. Equal vision. God is in everything. Do not make doubts, and do not make dualism. Therefore, Ādi Guru Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya, Vedic culture, Yoga Vedānta philosophy, and this is the echo: Brahma only, there is one God. Brahma satya, that is only the truth. Jagata mithyā, this world is a mithyā, ignorance, gossiping, nothing else. When you are gone, this body is gone. Nothing is here. Whatever you are fighting for, to keep your body and this and that, it is only temporary. Therefore, this saṃsāra is like a second. This saṃsāra, how big is it? How long is this saṃsāra? What is this saṃsāra? Like this. That’s all. The life of this pen and the entire life of this planet are just like this. That’s all. But for us, this is billions, trillions; some changes take place in days or in years. It takes this time that all want to go out of the bodies, like this, like that. And then those who have divine karma, divine blessings, the divine guide of the divine light, then very peacefully, slowly, slowly, the body goes. The same thing when Holy Gurujī passed; Dr. Śānti was present, and she said how beautifully it happened—no spasm, nothing. No urine, no cold, nothing, Ānanda. And when Māṭājī also passed, it was exactly like Holy Gurujī—very peaceful, very peaceful. No pain, no shivering, no cramp or spasms, no vomiting, no urine, and so on. It was her dignity. You cannot imagine. This is a blessing to have such a divine soul in such a body. Lucky are they who have her blessings. We only recognize all this afterward. This is our human mind, human intellect, human problem. As long as someone is living, we create a lot of doubts, angers, and "no," and "this is not my problem," and "why do you say this and that?" But when he is gone, then you say, "How great was he? How stupid we were." When Jesus was gone, then they realized how stupid they were. Therefore, it is said: see the light of God in everyone and keep on your path. Birth is not easy, but life is more difficult, struggling. But more than that, the last minutes, the last time, the entire universal or cosmic decision is there on this soul. Then that soul passes entirely. All your credit, meaning karmic credit, negative or positive, all finally comes together on that particular occasion, at that particular time when you are passing. Because then you do not have another chance to come back into the body. Maybe you have said, "Okay, some good karma is missing. I come back and do good karmas." No. Or you say, "No, I will go back, and I will be angry. I will do this and that and blame this." No, you cannot come back. Therefore, samaya, time. Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, I still have a little problem with bronchitis and fever, so sorry. I will give śānti, peace, today, and we will see tomorrow how it is, as God wishes. Thank you for listening, and many blessings to all of you, and especially today, the blessing from our Holy Mother. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.
