We need Lord Ganesha

The glory of Gaṇeśa signifies the principle of pure intellect and the removal of obstacles. Beginning any endeavor by remembering Gaṇeśa is a universal protocol for success. Gaṇeśa is the lord of all elements and functions, symbolizing pure buddhi or intellect. This intellect, when filled with positive spiritual knowledge, is wisdom; when corrupted by negative energies, it becomes lost and destructive. The highest human value is this transparent knowledge, love, and clarity. Our intellect can be influenced by surroundings and bad company, leading us astray from good thoughts and devotion. Therefore, one must pray for good intellect and seek shelter in the divine to be an instrument of service.

"Jisko Prabhu Dharun Dukdehi, Uski Buddhi Pehle Hi Harlehi."

"He Bhagavān, hame sadbuddhi denā, kubuddhi mat denā."

Filming location: Jadan, Rajasthan, India

Brothers and sisters, spiritual seekers around the world, this blessing is coming to you from Jadan, Rajasthan, in all of India. Many of you around the world may not know, or you may be thinking, what does this word mean? At the beginning and at the end, we used to say, "Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai." Jai means victory. Jai means glory. Jai means respect, and Jai means salutation. So always, when we begin something, it is a very ancient tradition or culture from yugas, ages and ages. Whatever we begin first, we call Śrī Gaṇeśa. It is said that for anything you want to begin, for your success, to remove all obstacles, and to fulfill your positive wishes, you have to remember God Gaṇeśa. It is the universal or the cosmic protocol. In that protocol, it is decided, selected, elected, and accepted: Bhagavān Gaṇeśa. Gaṇa means the qualities. Gaṇa means the goddess. Gaṇa means all your spiritual patterns. So, Gaṇeśa means he is the lord of all elements, all functions. Gaṇeśa functions in the entire universe. Gaṇeśa is a symbol of the intellect, the buddhi, pure buddhi. Buddhi is then when one has bodha. Bodha means knowledge. When the intellect has that pure knowledge, spiritual positive knowledge, then it is said buddhiśālī. Bodhisālī means very wise. And if one has negative intellect, utilizing all the negative energies through that intellect, doing improper things, destructive, that is called Buddhibhṛṣṭa. Buddhibhṛṣṭa means lost the intellect and become an empty, dry, stupid thought. In the Holy Rāmāyaṇa, it is said: Jisko Prabhu Dharun Dukdehi, Uski Buddhi Pehle Hi Harlehi. Jisko Prabhu Dharun Dukdehi, God knows that according to the destiny of that person, where more suffering should come. Then the good thoughts and good intellect are taken away. It is we who can cause the troubles within us and within others. That means the buddhi is not there. So, buddhi is wisdom; like the sun rises and removes the darkness from everywhere. So the removal of all negative qualities and negative obstacles is a symbol of God Gaṇeśa. If you believe or you don’t believe, it doesn’t matter. Gaṇeśjī never asks you that you should believe in him. It’s your things because we need him, you need him. That’s why it’s called Gajānanda. Gaj is the elephant. The gaja, or elephant, is one of the most ancient animals, the oldest now. And that is also a symbol of luck, prosperity, and wisdom. And that’s why, symbolically, Gaṇeśjī’s face is designed like an elephant. Gajamoti, in the very rare elephant’s brain, in the head, there is a jewel which is not easy to get, and, of course, by law, is not allowed to have because of the protection of the wild life, which is good. Gaj Dhan, Baj Dhan, Aur Ratan Dhan Khan, Jab Aay Santosh Dhan, Sab Dhan Dhul Shaman. There are different kinds of wealth, and the first is called Gaj Dhan. You may have thousands of elephants. You owe? No, you have thousands of elephants. We are now not even able to feed one elephant. And who are we that we can feed? Kiri ko kan, hati ko man, Bhagavān hī dete. A small corn of rice or food for the ant and a hundred kilos for the elephant, it is God who is supplying every day. No one goes to sleep on an empty stomach. Everyone finds something to eat, except lazy humans who don’t want to work. So God is the provider. God is the provider for everything. On the day when a human will think that "I do," then that is your mistake. So gajadhana, that is when you have thousands, hundreds and thousands of elephants, you are a rich one. Though you cannot go near them. But just for your contentment, that you think is mine. Bhaj Dhan, Bhaj is a hawk, that bird, a hawk, so that you have golden hawks in your farms and home, all your birds are golden birds. Gaj Dhan, Bhaj Dhan, Aura Ratan Dhan Khan, and you are an owner of thousands of precious stones and mines. Jaya Āyā Santosh Dhana, but when you get contentment, that is the best wealth. Sab Dhan Dhol Samāna. In front of contentment, Santoṣa, all other kinds of wealth are like dust. Jaya āyā, santosha dhana saba dhana dhola samāna. So first comes the Gajadhana, and therefore, second, Gaja means the mighty, the mighty, the energy, the power, and also the Gaja means the elephant has a very good memory, very intelligent, and so Ganeśajī, Gajānanda, Gaja is the elephant, and Ānanda is the bliss, divine bliss. So Gaṇeśjī also is the mūla prakṛti, and therefore Gaṇeśjī’s seat is mūlādhāra, because it is from whom the mighty one is balancing the human intellect, human emotion, human being. So Gaṇeśa is the remover of obstacles, the giver of happiness, and one of the most wise and intelligent ones. And therefore, first we pray to have this for us as a protection. That’s called Śrī Gaṇeśa, and jaya is glory. So when you say, "Śrī Gaṇeśa, Bhagavān, Kī Jai," it means that these divine principles, as Gaṇeśa, may give the victory and success for your divine work which you are doing. Śaḍbudhi, śaḍbudhi. It is said: He Prabhu, ānanda-dātā. Ham sadācārī bane he prabhu ānanda dātā. O Lord, Giver of the Ānanda, Giver of the Bliss. He prabhu ānanda dātā, jñāna hamko dījiye, lījiye śaraṇa tumhārī. Please give me shelter to thy holy feet, O Lord. Lījiye śaraṇa tumhārī, ham sadācārī bane. That we always do the good things, sadācārī. Sad means good things. Therefore, in the beginning of anything, we say, "Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai," and so on and so on. Therefore, O human, O brothers and sisters of devotees, take care of your intellect. The value, the highest value of human life, is that best intellect, best knowledge. And that knowledge is where there is transparent knowledge, love, clarity, and understanding. Otherwise, you will not be known as a Buddhisālī, but Buddhi Bhraṣṭa, Yog Bhraṣṭa, Buddhi Bhraṣṭa, and so on. Jisko Prabhu Dharun Dukdehi, Uski Buddhi Pelehi Harlehi. And therefore, every morning, every day, we bow to that divine wisdom, that principle of the divine wisdom and protector. There is one very famous, very well-known story. There were two couples: one couple, father and mother. They had only one child, one son, and they were blind. The parents were blind and disabled because of old age. Their son was so devoted to them, he devoted his entire life. To serve the parents, one day they expressed the wish to visit every holy place. They were weak, they were blind, they were very old. But the son, but the son, there are three kinds of children: Kaniṣṭha, Madhyama, Uttama. Three kinds of disciples: Kaniṣṭha, Madhyama, and Uttama. But he was also poor; at that time, there was not this kind of money that we have. So he made two baskets out of bamboo, and on one strong bamboo stick, he hung them left and right, one side basket for his mother and one side for his father, and carried them on his shoulders. A few kilometers every day, resting, a few kilometers every day. Wherever a holy place came, he stayed there and said to his parents, "My dear parents, here is the holy place." So they stayed a few days. Suddenly, one day, around 11 o’clock in the morning, that young man said, he begins to think, "Why am I doing all this?" Okay, they are my parents, but why should I carry them here and there, this heavy weight? What will they give me? So he put down the baskets and said, "If you pay me some money for carrying you, then I will do it, otherwise I will not go anymore." His parents were very wise. The father was very wise. The father asked, "My son, where are we? Can you tell me? According to geography, where are we?" So he named one place, which is not so good; all people are confused there. I don’t want to tell the name, because people from there will be angry. But they are all confused there. Father said, "Oh, okay, my son, let’s go, and at the end of the day, I will arrange for you to get paid for the work you are doing for us. Let’s go from here." So again, he carried his parents on his shoulders and he went. After a few kilometers, he put the baskets down and began to cry, and asked the parents to forgive him. Forgive me, please, for asking for money or something from you. Father said, "My son, that was not your mistake." It was that particular ground and particular radiance, energy which was coming out of the ground, and that created in you doubts, and you lost your love. You lost the bhakti, pitṛ bhakti, mātṛ bhakti, the devotion towards father, mother, and this. And that energy took away your positive knowledge, your positive buddhi. And as soon as you move away from that spot, again you have normal thinking, normal. So, therefore, there are certain times when, from the earth under your feet, no good vibration comes. Then don’t take any action, just move from there. Maybe this vibration is only for some days. Many people who live in a particular house or in an apartment, when the couples are outside, they are happy, but when they come home, they begin to quarrel. They have to change that place. So different kinds of saṅgha also disrupt our thoughts and our feelings, and then we lose everything. Therefore, it is said, "Lord, bless me with good thinking, positive thinking." Lead my each and every step toward thy divine will. Let me be the instrument so that I can serve thy holy creation, which is very important. Through that, you gain good karmas, you gain good energy, and your spiritual support grows. And therefore it is said in bhajan: Kī Pāda Kamalāṅkī Prabhu This is a spiritual lecture about Yoga in the Indian tradition. Sanskrit and Hindi terms include Prabhu. Charaṇon kī pad kamalon kī, Prabhu charaṇon kī pad kamalon kī. Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai. When Mahāprabhujī is asking his disciple Lālā Rañjī, "What do you wish? Money, this, that, anything." So he said, "Gurudev, I only ask for the holy dust of thy holy lotus feet." To Mahāprabhujī, he is asking Lalanandajī. Nahī̃ meṁ māṅgū bhog svarg kā. I am not asking you, my lord, for the joy of heaven. Ichchā nahīṁ dānā dvārāṁkī. Also, I have no desire for money, family, or children, and so on. I am not asking for the wealth of the kingdom of the universe, nor the kingdom of the entire earth, but only the holy dust of thy feet. Nahi, mein māṅgū mukti kī sādhanā. Lord, even I am not asking you for the practice to attain mokṣa. Mukti Dāsī Guru Caraṇauki, because even Mukti, liberation, is a servant of the Gurudeva’s feet. Therefore, Rājdenā Guru Samoy Caraṇauki Dīp Dayāl Mahāprabhujī, Dīp Dayāl, actually Dīp Prabhujī, Caraṇ Rājmoye Denā, Yehi Binatī Lalanandakī, O Bhagavān, Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī, bless me with that holy dust of thy holy lotus feet. This is the prayer request of thy bhakta, thy servant, Lalanand. Therefore, only those who have clear antaḥkaraṇa, manas, buddhi, citta, ahaṅkāra, buddhi—that is, śuddha buddhi— He Bhagavān, hame sadbuddhi denā, kubuddhi mat denā. Sadbuddhi means good intellect, kubuddhi means opposite to that, like a kusaṅga. We used to say, "Gyānī se Gyānī mile, kare Gyān kī bāt." When the wise meets the wise one, then he speaks about wisdom. Gadā Se Gadā Mele, Ke Kumbha Ke Lāṭ So when the two donkeys meet together, then they are kicking each other’s legs. So, this is that "Jis Kī Buddhi Bheṣṭ Ho Gaī," whose buddhi is lost, is fighting around the world or with anybody with words and this and that. That is called that lost, crazy donkey. And who have wisdom, that lets reign the reign of immortality, sour, peace, love, oneness. And therefore, for the bhaktas, Holy Gurujī said in one bhajan, "Terī Satgurūrā Khelā Jācintā Māṭk." Still not good. Coughing, so rest is the best. And again, the webcast will be tomorrow evening. Rest your programs, kriyānusthānas, this, that, all that I told you will be accordingly. Hari Om.
