Satsang with MM Swami Jasrajpuriji and Swami Gajanandji

Satsang transforms the value of life, turning a burdensome existence into a precious jewel. Listening to the teaching alters one's qualities, like a bamboo absorbing the fragrance of sandalwood. Identification with the body, composed of elements and inner functions, is released. When this identification ceases, desires and the fear of death fall away. The master's presence is felt within the heart, the true home. This gathering fosters a profound familial connection among disciples. The master's love for his children surpasses even a mother's love. The practice is to follow his guidance, becoming happy and receptive children.

"Kālī nikata nahīṁ āvatāhe." — "Death no longer approaches."

"Satgurū Satsaṅgīyanāthaḥ Tārapyāḥ Jīvāchāviraṁ." — "The true Guru and the fellowship of truth are the saviors of life."

When you listen to his satsaṅg with your own ears, you understand your life from a different perspective and grasp its true value. Jīva bhāva—the value of life—is completely transformed. It is like paras, the philosopher's stone, turning iron into gold. In the same way, a human life that felt like a burden suddenly becomes a precious jewel. The low value of the iron is gone. Chandan nassang maliagara ho javate he. You know chandan, sandalwood, from agarbattī. To be with a Guru, to receive his satsaṅg and teaching, transforms our qualities. It is like a bamboo shoot growing among sandalwood trees; it slowly absorbs the beautiful fragrance and eventually becomes as precious as the sandalwood itself. Or it is like when dirty water enters the holy Gaṅgā near Milekoj. It is no longer dirty water; it becomes part of the sacred river, the Gaṅgā, and the Bhagavad Gītā says it becomes holy water itself. No tatva liṅga vāsanā chuti. Kālī nikata nahīṁ āvatāhe. This body is made from nine elements. I am not exactly sure of the meaning of the number nine here, as we usually speak of five elements. In Āyurveda, I think we speak of seven. Perhaps the meaning is the five prāṇas and the four antaḥkaraṇasmanas, buddhi, citta, and ahaṁkāra, the inner mental functions. All our worries and identification with this body are gone. You leave behind all desires, passions, and fears. When you are no longer identified with this body, which must die, you overcome the fear of death. Kāla, which is death, can no longer approach you. It loses its power over you. This is from a bhajan of Lālā Nānjī. Lālā Nānjī says, "Mahāprabhujī came to my home," and he surrenders and sacrifices himself. But what is this home? Is it just a physical house? In many bhajans, the home is a symbol for our heart, our body. It is an inspiration to realize Swāmījī in our heart. So let us sing joyfully: Kali Kali Ara Sāvatahe... (repeated) Aaj Satchan Satguru Palaaya Kali Kali Aarshaavati Kulgaam Dham, jahan Satguru aavat hai. Yadanya Kulga Madama Satguru avat hai, bhai. Jahan Satguru avat hai, unki mahima kya tehgaon? Hirabharanga Panjavat, unki mahima kya tehgaon? Hirabharanga Panjavat. Ndusakhi Gurgaraya Satyagurpala Anasunaya Shravaname. Divyabhāva Pallatāvatahe, Anasūyā Śravaṇamā Pallatahe, Svāmilāvatahe Patatāvatahe, Ārṣa Vācanakañchandaki Akṣaṇame Avamitajāvatahe... As the Kareer meets the Chandana Sangha, the Kaliya is the master of the Kaliya... Kālī Kālī Araśāvatāhe... (repeated) Kālī Sat Gurū Gharāyā Kālī Hai Mājū Sat Chandra Sat Gurū Palāyā Kālī Kālī Śāvat Hai Kāliṅga Vāsanā Chūṭṭī Ikat Nahī̃ Āvat Hai Kāliṅga Vāsanā Chūṭṭī Ikat Nahī̃ Āvat Bhavu. Anikat Nahi Āvat Svāmī Mirgharāya Nanda Pālī Jāvat Svāmī Mirgharāya Nanda Pālī Jāvat Sakhī Satgurgarāya Kalitalī Ārāśāvat Sajjana Satgurthalāt Ārāśāvat Kalī Kalī Arashāvataharī Kalī Kalī Arashāvataharī. Do you feel this joy? I would like to add a remark at the end of the seminar. Honestly, I feel nearly the same joy when Swāmījī is here. I feel it in the presence of so many brothers and sisters. For me, as a Swami, it is like having so many friends, so many family members. It is a beautiful feeling. Since I have been living here in the ashram since April, it is as if the family is coming and going all the time. It is beautiful. Thank you to all of you. He asked for one more bhajan. It is a good idea, as it may express this feeling exactly. Sattva guru, sattva saṅghya, my eyes are full of tears when I meet my satsaṅghīs, those who come to the satsaṅg. But not to the ku-saṅg, please. They like satsaṅg, not kusaṅg. Satgurū Satsaṅgīyanāthaḥ Tārapyāḥ Jīvāchāviraṁ Tārapyāḥ Jīvāchāviraṁ. Sat Guru Sat Saṅkhya Riyal Sat Veśa Parjāvidat Pula Veśa Parjāvidat Guru Sat Saṅkhya Guru Sat Saṅkhya Bhaṇḍa Bheera Mothi Naito Ākhā Bheera Mothi Naito Saṅgeeya Esāparāja Esāparāja. Saṅgītā Āryā Sat Saṅg Sīsī Sīsī Mṛta Bhuṇḍakumārasa, Mṛta Parasa, Sarjati, Ratatpappi, Ratatpappi, Indraibhavi, Sarjati, Saṅghī, Saṅghī, Ārya, Sarjati, Dātāsarjati, Sanghīya Guru Sat... (repeated) I said I feel all of you like my family. As a Swami, it was my life decision not to have children. Now, suddenly, I realize I even have children—and they are special children. Last week, we had a group of children here; 10 or 12 of them were a perfect rhythm group. I always say rhythm is half of bhajan singing, and it is often hard to find a proper ḍholak player. Suddenly we had such a strong rhythm group, and none of them was wrong. I also observed special behavior. Sometimes I wanted to make a child happy and asked, "Would you like a chocolate? A cake?" The answer was no. Can you imagine? Santosh in children. Jasrajjī always gives chocolate to the children. You know what happened recently? The children made beautiful pictures, especially Oṃs, and gave them to Jasrājjī and me with real love. I made an art exhibition at my door. In the last few days, the children came to us Swamis and gave us chocolate. I love being in such a special family. But Gajananjī, did you give them pictures? I am not so much in that art; I am in the other art, with sound. Hariyam, many greetings to all of you. To all dear brothers and sisters, I feel we have heard everything today. Everything was already told. There is not much I can add. What more could we get besides the presence of our beloved Master? Whatever we were expecting, we were given much more. We were given His blessings, His love. He keeps thinking of us. As Gajananjī was talking about family, I can only repeat what he said, for I have the very same feeling. I feel this amazing, great feeling here and wherever I go. Many of us have known each other for 20 or more years. Some faces are quite new to me. Time passes, but the feeling of coming back to your family is always the same. We should all become aware of what our family is, where we belong. Swāmījī made a clear statement: we are his children. We are Mahāprabhujī’s family. This connection is much more than the black family. Many have already realized it, many are just feeling it, and many are only beginning to feel it. Thanks to my travels, this feeling in me keeps growing. Wherever I go—here, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Europe, India, Jadon—I feel this beautiful sense of being a family. So where should we direct our thanks and gratitude? We all know and feel it well. We all have parents; we know this feeling. What does it mean to be a child? To be a parent? We are aware of what family is, what a parent’s love is. And we know that the love of Satya Gurudev for his children, his disciples, is much stronger. It cannot be compared even to a mother’s love for her child. This is something we cannot fully understand or feel through, for our understanding is limited to the love of family, of a mother, of children. The only thing we can do is be good children, happy children, because a mother is always happy when her children are happy. Applying this to the relationship between master and disciple, Gurudev will always be happy when his children are happy. This means one very simple thing: for us to listen and follow Guruvāgya, to realize all that we receive from our Master, to accept His word, and to follow it even when we do not understand. The day will come when we will understand everything. He has no ambitions other than to liberate us, guide us to divine consciousness, and bring us back to where we belong. In the first years when Swāmījī would arrive or stay in Europe, we did not sing bhajans; we did not know any. Since he usually stayed in the Beskydy Mountains area, we would sing songs like "Beskydy, Beskydy." We sang other songs too, Slovak songs and others, and Svāmījī liked it very much. Of course, at that time we were watched very carefully; everything was monitored. Actually, we are still watched and monitored today. We sang Czech songs, and then Swamiji would say, "Okay, let’s sing some Indian songs," and we would start with Om Jaya Guru Deva.... I feel more like singing "Dobrú noc," a good night song. What do you think? Sokol? Sokol. Tak. Who knows the song, please join in so I do not feel so alone here. Stop the recorders, please. He picked up a small pear. The old jaguar came to him. The old jaguar came to him. And Swamiji liked it very much, for these songs are full of beauty and love. You can feel how Swamijī remembers those times, the beginnings, the old times. You can feel how beautiful it was. It was something completely different than now, but it was very beautiful. So that is all.
