The Final Satsaṅg

A final satsang discourse on spiritual practice, destiny, and devotion.

"Our good or bad destiny is created by our actions and deeds." "Only the one who is fortunate will get it, and the one who is sinful will not get it."

A spiritual teacher addresses the gathering on their last day, reflecting on the recent Kumbh Mela and the nature of grace. He explains concepts like destiny (karma), the two types of seekers (Lakṣārthī and Vācaratī), and the importance of sincere devotion over selfish desire. Using parables about a sandalwood fly, a crow and a swan, and a test with a moong grain, he illustrates how past actions and inner purity determine one's attraction to truth. He stresses the need for unity, criticizes casteism and hypocrisy, and concludes by emphasizing that true meditation and knowledge come only through a Guru's grace.

Tomorrow is the last day here for many of us. Some will have the privilege and luck to stay two or three days more. You are the fortunate ones. You have experienced many things. You enjoyed bathing in the Gaṅgā and your sādhanās. Only one thing was a little bit missing: I had very little time to be with you. But it is the same everywhere, in whichever country I am—always busy. And a busy life is a good life. From early morning till after midnight, there is always some duty. We were doing penance for one and a half months on the banks of Gaṅgā, Yamunā, and Sarasvatī in Triyatrāj, Prayāg. We saw hundreds of thousands of saints, millions of devotees, and for 24 hours, the glory of Param Pitā Parameśvara. Whether it is bhajan, kīrtan, or yajña—which is a rain of bliss—it is all about luck. Who gets such a good opportunity? One cannot get the pleasure of good things without luck. Tulsīdās Mahārāj said: Tulsī pūrvajanam ke pāp se hari charsa nahīṁ svahai. Jaise jwar kī jor se bhūjan kī ruchi jāye. Jaise ki bukhār aane par bhūjan karne kī ruchi nahīṁ rehtī hai. Vaise hī pūrvajanam ke karmakā bukhār jiske hai. Unko kahīṁ Tiratistān jāne kī soochī nahīṁ hai. Jāna chāhte haiṅ to bhī karma āde ā jātā hai. Our good or bad destiny is created by our actions and deeds. Some people think they have attained God through their intelligence and now do not need to do much. There are two types of knowledge: Lakṣārthī and Puruṣārthī. One is Lakṣārthī, who sets a goal and works hard. The other works hard for worldly pleasures based on intellect. Along with this, there is Vācaratī or Lakṣaratī. Vācaratī is one who reads different types of books and texts and goes in different directions. The other is one who is devoted to his devotion. In a small village, a saint came. He was very wise and pure. He said the eyes of a pure person, whose vision is pure, do not cause any harm. Dṛṣṭi doṣa is also terrible. Jaise dṛṣṭi, vaise sṛṣṭi ho jātī hai. Now, with what perspective you view this vision, such a creation stands before you. Avan chandana śarīra, jaise chandan kī vṛkṣa, chandan kī lakṛī se itnī sugandha ātī hai. Similarly, a Mahāpuruṣa, from their darśan, their words, touching their feet—a fragrance of devotion, knowledge, and divinity comes to the devotee. But what is it? Chandan makhi parhare, durgandhi mā uth jāye. Such an ignorant person does not listen to satsaṅg; their ignorance flies away. Chandan makhi parhare, ek paṇḍitjī chitrakoot ke ghat par, kaita hai na ki chitrakoot ke ghat par bhai santan ki bheer. Tulsi Dās chandan gase tilak kare, Raghubīr. So there was a Paṇḍitjī sitting there, making a paste of sandalwood, keeping it in a bowl, and then cleaning the sandalwood again to make tilak. A fly came and sat on the sandalwood bowl. It is fragrant. The fly came and sat there. Meanwhile, Paṇḍitjī's small child, a grandson, was sitting about two to three meters away. He made a hole there, a mill. That fly got up from the sandalwood and sat on the mill. Sandalwood fly on the fly, a green, foul-smelling fly there. Such an ignorant person does not listen to satsaṅg. It will happen that it will fly. In this way, the one who has ignorance and the wrong deeds of the previous birth does not like satsaṅg, tīrtha, śānta, etc. If it is a honeybee, a Madhumakī, it will sit on flowers, not on filth. Similarly, the devotee looks for satsaṅg. God's beloved looks for saints, satsaṅg, scriptures, and goes to temples and ashrams. But the one whose previous sins are overloaded even tries to demolish the temple. Now look at our roadways, the new highway; many temples have been demolished. And if there is fear... there is no love without fear. Look, if there is a mosque made of the clothes of Muslims, they will turn the road. But they can break it. If they break it, the head will break. But the sad thing is that Hindus are trying to kill Hindus because there is no unity. Dhṛṣṭānta is remembered. A Mahātma was coming from the forest. There were big trees, maybe thousands of years old. Mahātmājī saw the trees, saw the forest, and became sad. So the tree says, "Mahātmājī, why are you getting sad? You are a saint; why are you worried?" Mahārāj says, "Brother, now you people have a bad day ahead. Dindasā tumhārī kharāb ā ga'ī." "What, Mahārājī? What will happen?" "I am a good astrologer. I make a prediction; there is no difference. What I say will happen. Okay? A follower of astrology is never free from planetary influence. And a follower of a doctor is never free from medicine. But it is said that spells, mantras, magic, and witchcraft have no effect on a guru's devotee. If there is devotion, then spells, mantras, magic, witchcraft, and even a guru's devotion—nothing will happen. But if there is Dhṛḍhā Bhakti... otherwise, we are selfish." If someone says that if we meet God, we will go to Shirdi, and if there is Bhāṭā, we will go there and do praṇām. If there is a ghost under this tree, we will go there and sit. We don't have faith. Kheru jī, Bhopā jī, Dopā jī, that Bāyo Mātā, Saiyam Mātā, who all, what all, what all, what all,... what all, what all, ... what all,... what all, what... All, what all, what... all, what... All, what all, what all, one in all and all in one. How tall is he? How tall is he? ... How tall is he? How tall is he? Why do you worry? You do "Rām Rām" and come and do bhajan. You don't worry, Mahārāj. How can he kill us? Mahārāj left. Then Mahārāj came back after three to four years. He saw thousands of hectares of trees were cut, and they made coal of all of them. What did he do? Coal. These days, the head of state has taken an order not to cut the British babul tree. Because the one whose thoughts are black and whose mind is black tries to eat the black coal. There was an environmental minister of Rajasthan. I told him to get rid of the British babul and plant good trees. Then the cattle, goats, cows, and animals will walk. He said, "Mahārāj jī, this is the only support for the poor." I said, "It is not for the poor; it is for the leaders and the chiefs. They are eating coal." It is unfortunate that they removed the good trees and cut them. Mahārāj jī came back. That old tree was lying there; it was cut. Mahārāj says, "Old man, now tell me, how did that small enemy cut you?" That Gurudev was not powerful in that axe, but our brothers joined together in the form of a stick, which destroyed our Satya. If our brothers had not joined the stick, then the axe would not have been powerful enough to destroy the entire jungle. If we all live in unity, then why should there be unrest in our country? Why should there be terrorism? But there is no unity. Neither is there unity of religion, nor is there unity of society. There is no caste discrimination in the scriptures. There is no discrimination in the Vedas. This is a waste that you have put in your mind after coming to Buddhism. And you are suffering because of this. The problem in the whole of India is due to casteism. There is only one caste: the human race. Out of 84 lakh life forms, one caste is human, second is dog, third is cat, then donkey, then horse. So if the people of India come together and join together, then who has the power to do anything in our country? But our brothers are like sticks. They are in that party, they are in that party, for him, for him. And because of a little money, they change their religion. Mahāprabhujī went to a village and did satsaṅg. A lot of devotees came. Then two devotees came and said, "Gurujī, we have heard that until we don't take knowledge and mantra from Satguru Dev, we don't attain salvation. Mokṣa Mūlaṁ Guru Kṛpā. One should be a Guru Mukhī and not a Man Mukhī. So please bless us and give us some mantra. We want to become your disciples." Gurujī said, "We will test these people." How did Gurujī test them? Mahāprabhujī said, "Come tomorrow at 8 o'clock." Both of them came at 8 o'clock in the morning. One was a businessman, and the other was a farmer. Mahāprabhujī gave them two moong grains. What did he give? Moong, right? Did you ever eat moong dal? Earlier, they used to say, "Mahārāj, poor people have dal roti." Now, poor people don't get dal. Dal has become very expensive. So Mahārāj said, "I am giving you each a grain of moong. When I come back in three to four years, you will give it back to me; then I will give you mantra and dīkṣā." When the disciple or disciple will obey... The businessman is very smart, intellectual, and intelligent. See, what is the difference between his intellect and the intellect of the other? What did he do? He took the moong and kept it in a container and put it in the safe. And the other poor man took it home and kept it. Cāturmāsa came, and he thought, "When will Gurujī come? When they come, they will eat a lot of food." So, he took that moong and made a small bowl and put it in it, and put a net all around it. It turned out to be a very beautiful plant. And he gave it manure, etc. He was a farmer. So, he mixed a handful of moong. He put it in a cloth bag and mixed it in the ash. Gurujī did not come, and then the same Cāturmāsa came. He was thinking that Gurujī did not come, and what will the moong do? There was one Pāp Moong. He weighed about 1,000 square yards. And how much did he weigh? At least 100 kg. Gurujī did not come. Then he waited for the third time. It became tons. He built a huge warehouse there. In three to four years, he has become so famous that the farmers are calling him Moong. But he doesn't sell. In the fifth year, when Gurujī came back, both the disciples ran to him. "Gurudev, now we hope that you will give us the mantra." Gurujī said, "Tomorrow at 8 o'clock, bring the grain of moong." He went home and gave it to Gurujī in a box, in a mess box. Gurujī saw that the moong had lost its own qualities. It was just a little bit of dust on the top. He looked at it and said, "Your moong has got spoiled." "Gurujī, this is not my fault. Why did you come so late? Gurujī, you should at least have some knowledge. Moong and dhan have different qualities. You should have given me the mantra, but it is not my fault." He said, "You are not a good disciple. Sit down." He thought that a farmer's house would have so many moong and dhanas. Gurujī would not have known. He said to the farmer, "If you want the mantra, bring the moong." He stood up and said, "Gurujī, I cannot bring that moong here." "Why?" "You yourself come and take it. Come and do me a favor." Mahārāj understood. Gurujī went with him. He opened the door of the godown. So, how many tons of moong was there? "Tell me, Gurujī." Gurujī said, "You are worthy of becoming a disciple." That is why the one who becomes a disciple, the one who worships God, the one who has the resolve, has to practice that resolve. Only when he practices will his resolve be fulfilled. Only when he practices will he attain the fulfillment. Otherwise, when he comes to the Gurujī, he is not even paying his respects. He says, "Bābājī, Gurujī, it is okay if I have a child. Hey, at least pay your respects." Or they will say, "Gurujī, may your grace be upon you; may I get a job for my child." At least do some praṇām, at least sit down. Then they will say, "Gurujī, give us a loan, Lord." Gurujī will say, "Your loan will be left; you will not get money." That is why everyone is poor. "Give us a loan." "Go and get a loan in the market." "Gurujī, what is this? What should we do? Have you taken the opportunity to take a loan?" So one should pray to Bhagavān. God knows what to give you and what not to give you. Śākāmī Bhakti and Niṣkāma Bhakti. Śākāmī Bhakti is a little successful; then you get the fruit there, then it does not go ahead. So here we are, sitting on the banks of the Saṅkham. From the Himalayas to the entire land of India, Himalayan sages and sages from all over India have come here. And we are all sitting here. How lucky we are! But the villagers are sitting here and playing cards. They are playing cards, smoking tobacco, and they are sitting here with a glass of alcohol. That is why it is said that only the one who is fortunate will get it, and the one who is sinful will not get it. Millions of people have come, but how many thousands or hundreds of millions of people are there in our India? But they don't see it. A swan is not a crow; it is the crow of the crows, the crow of the crows, the crow... of the crows. I will tell you a story. There was a man and a woman. They were coming from far away for a pilgrimage to Prayāgrāj. A small village came on the way. There was a huge tree. The man and woman said that they will rest here today. There were many crows sitting on that tree. One of the crows had a bad thought in his mind. He thought, "I have never seen such a white being." The paper we have is completely black. This Haṁsī is very beautiful, white. He should make her his wife. The crow's mind was full of sin. At night at 11 o'clock, the crow flew away and went and knocked on the door of the lawyer's house. The lawyer opened the door and said, "Who is it?" "I am the lawyer." "Yes, what is it? Why did you come so late at night? That's it, night and day, I have to do my work." "What? A woman has come? Go to court with me and get her married to me at night. She should not get up until morning." So the lawyer says, "I will do this, but what will you give me?" So the crow says, "Lawyer, I don't have money. But once in a year, when the crows are seen, I will be able to see where your parents and grandparents are." The lawyer thought that this is a good thing. Where are my parents and grandparents? Where are you? He wrote a report at night and woke up the Haṁsa in the morning. The Haṁsa didn't wake up, so he put all the crows in front of him. "Where are you going?" And the poor Haṁsa started beating him. "I kept you in my house, and this is the same thing? You are taking my wife back? Tell me." The Haṁsa didn't say, "What are you saying? Are you crazy?" That is his words. Now a crow caught him and sat down. Poor Haṁsa went alone. The Haṁsa tied him by the neck of the crow. After a month, the curse came. Now the lawyer came and said, "Crow, tell me my father and where he is." He said, "Yes. I promised, and I will tell you. Come with me. Sit here. Now, see from here. There are five to ten insects lying on the ground; they are your parents and your ancestors." "Are my ancestors lying in hell?" "Yes, there are 5-10 insects. They are your parents and your ancestors. Why is that? Lawyer, look, you are the one who makes a lie out of a lie. You tied poor Haṁsinī to my neck. What is the big lie? If it is the parents of such a person, then it will be the same situation. Prakṛṣabh, your number is still the same, and it is gone." So, people who tell the truth and lie will always be sad. If one sage, all sages, all sages,... all... sages, all sages, Nibhān hai gyānī gurujī kā bachan. Nibhān hai gyānī gurujī kā bachan. Kaunse bachan kya kare? Kām, krodh ko dūr hataavu. Kāma krodha ko tan kī kheti sāf karā vo. Tan kī kheti sāf karā vo. O bīja oṁ kā bonā. Bāī bīja oṁ kā bonā. If you get rid of your anger, greed, and ego, you will get purity in your body and mind. Then you will get a call from your inner self that, "I want to become a Guru." And if you become a Guru, you will become a true Guru. If you want to do Oṁ Kāra, then the Guru will give you the Guru Mantra with the sound of Oṁ Kāra in your heart. Then what happens? Satguru ko upa batāyā, Satguru ko upa batāyā. Ab to nir pilānā hai, pyāre, ab to nir pilānā hai. Guru bhakti dhāraṇ kī hai, jisne sādhanā kī hai, dayā dharam unke hṛday ke andar prāgyaṭ ho jātā hai. Lekin usko rakhne ke liye, ye kheti rūpī hariyālī jo āge dayā dharm kī, Baaris nahī̃ huī to wo jal jāyegī khetī. Satguru Dev said, "Where is the well? Bring water from that well. Bring this water from there and give water." So the well is like a satsaṅg. By going to the satsaṅg, our thirst will be quenched. The thirst of life and death will be quenched, and there will be bliss. What happens then? After the thirst has been quenched, our crops grow beautifully. So what happens then? Now that the crop is ripe, we have to bring it home. Ab kheti mein nepe aai, ab kheti mein sab sakhiya mil to dhan jaa, sab ikati karalo bhai. Ab kheti mein nepe āī, ab phasal pak gayī, bahut ānand ho gayā. Nepe Ikati Karlo Bhai, let's end this session. Sab Sakhiya Mil Toornd Dhai Sakhi. Our senses, "Nepe" means now our inside is getting straightened. In us, spiritual power is awakened. We are reaching our goal. So our senses, our karmendriya and jñānendriya, are daśendriya, and man. He is an external leader. Now make him an internal leader and see how many diamonds are there inside you. All your friends are together. Join hands now. You have to make a Rāsa. You have to make a means. Where will you take this in the market? You have to make a rāsa. Rāsa is made. Mal gar layā, rās banāyā, chān ko bājār siddhāyā. Me chān ko bājār wā par molā ulak pāyā, wā par molā... ... ... And he reaches Sahasrāra Cakra. He made the rāsa, brought the goods, and sold them to the market. Then he goes to the satsaṅg, becomes a poet, becomes a lakṣārātī, not a vācārātī. Vācaratī is just reading a book, reading a good story, and spreading the knowledge. But the one who has experienced it—what is this spiritual practice? This knowledge is very rare. When the market was sold and the prices were high, then my mind agreed that yes, this spiritual practice, this knowledge, this is what we should get. So, who gave this knowledge? Who created this farming? Prabhu Dīpa Kheti Nipa Jai Satsaṅga with Mūjī Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Prabhu Dīpa Kheti Nibjai. Our beloved Gurujī, Dādā Gurujī, Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī. You are seeing the picture, the first picture, Mahāniśvarī Vibhūti, his Gurujī, our Devpurījī. To give life to such a Siddha who is dead, to cure... The incurable disease by just blessing the hand—where is that saint? So one of his disciples was Maṅgīlāljī Maheśvarī, and he did sādhanā. He became free of life, and when Maṅgīlāljī took samādhi, he appeared in five places and took samādhi in five places at the same time. He is called Siddha Puruṣa, he is called Īśvarī Puruṣa, he is called Avatārī Puruṣa. Only through his blessings and knowledge can we recognize the wonderful form. That is, the one whose description cannot be made, the one whose comparison cannot be made. Only he can be beyond the blessings of the Satguru. God bless you! God bless you! God bless you! ... Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumṇā. Iḍā Nāḍī, Gaṅgā; Piṅgalā, Suṣumṇā; Piṅgalā, Yamunā; and Suṣumṇā, Sarasvatī. Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Sarasvatī, Suṣumnā. This is our Ājñā Cakra here, whose reflection is reflected here. When the third eye of Lord Śiva is opened, all the powers of the āśrama will be destroyed. That is why the Trinetradhārī is called Swayambhū Śiva. So a yogī takes a bath on the banks of the Triveṇī in Brahma Mūrti with his Dhyāna Mudrā. He is here in the middle of our Ājñā Cakra. So this meditation can be achieved only by the grace of a Guru. Tomorrow is our last satsaṅg. You all come, and the day after tomorrow we will leave from here. That's all I have to say. I take my leave now. You all will have your satsaṅg and Maa Śiva Purāṇa. I have to go to the Kaḍā, and I will come after one hour or one and a half hours and see you. Śrīmān Nārāyaṇa Nārāyaṇa. Now sit down. Nārāyaṇa Nārāyaṇa... Nārāyaṇa. Oṁ Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.
