Lord Shiva Is The Most Merciful

The path of Saṅkalpa requires pure intention, for a wish born from harming others fails and accrues karma, demanding return. Kalpa signifies vast cycles of time within which the soul wanders, though in truth, time is a product of movement within consciousness. Realization is to unite with the cosmic self, beyond time and space. The vessel of the heart determines what one can receive; doubt yields little, while purity receives much. Śiva is the most merciful, forgiving all mistakes of devotees who approach with sincere prayer, as shown to the hunter who showed compassion. The sacred mantra is the key offering.

"Before we take a firm determination, one should think through whether one is hurting someone else. Otherwise, your Saṅkalpa will not be successful."

"I will be the most gracious and merciful to all my devotees. It doesn't matter what mistake they have done. I will forgive everything."

You can perceive what is happening through the eyes, through face reading, through body reading. Controlling thoughts is the hardest work. We think and we say, "Let's be positive. Do not do to others what you do not want done to you." Lightly spoken, but difficult to follow. Thus, Saṅkalpa is our wish, our goal. Before we take a firm determination, one should think through whether one is hurting someone else. This is very important. Otherwise, your Saṅkalpa will not be successful, and you accrue more karma. That means you have to come back and continue your work. God damn it, it's hard. But nothing is impossible where the will is there. And so, this Kalpa after Kalpa, we live inside, and now, through our good deeds, we will be able to achieve the goal of our life. Saṅkalpa is a word used in many contexts. Mahāprabhujī's bhajan, a beautiful bhajan, is sung: "Gaṇadin bhaṭkire mek kanyā kavarī nar, Naipāya bhartar kei kalap mambityā jī, kei kalap mambityā jī par puruṣon kei lār." ("And many Kalpas I have destroyed in my time with a false man.") This does not mean this woman and man, but false beliefs. I did not really believe in God. I was always in superstition, more often. So, these Kalpas, they are the many, many billions, trillions of years. This soul wanders. In reality, there is no time. Time created man, and a yogī should realize beyond time and space—One without a second. This infinite space is immeasurable. At that time, the atoms, the objects, and the subjects started to move. So the movement of these tattvas, the waves, that is when time came. Before that, it was called Śūnyākāśa. Śūnyākāśa. No movement. Not at all. Standstill. Then there was no time, and it has always existed. So when we realize this consciousness, this divine consciousness or cosmic consciousness, and the self frees itself or unites with the cosmic self, then it is beyond time and space—One without a second. So Kalpa has many meanings. Kalpavāsī. Vāsī means those who come and live there for a long time. You can say inhabitants, citizens. Here many are Viennese, Vāsī. That means you live in Vienna. Kalpavāsī is called Ekāntavāsī. In yoga, it is called Ekāntavāsī. And here in our modern system, there is a holiday. So, one month in twelve months is dedicated as vacation, the holidays. Actually, it is to meditate, relax, and rest. But you have more stress when you go on vacation. On some banks, the beaches, the beach is so restless, so restless, you can hardly sleep. There was no solitude, and there he said to me, "Mother, oh mother, I want to go to faraway cities. Oh mother, my dear mother, I have to climb a very long way, a very long river, an endless ocean." There was lightning, black clouds, and the sky was full of clouds. It was a big blitz. The waves were very high. The world of emotions: hatred, hatred, envy. "What is the shore of peace, Mother? Oh, Mother of God, where is a peaceful shore? I have to go very far; my goal is very far away." And so Kalpavāsa, at that time, in Satyuga, mostly all Ṛṣis came, thousands, millions of Ṛṣis. And there they did Yajña and Kalpavāsa, and the tradition is always continuous. Someone said the river Gaṅgā is smuṣik. Someone gave an answer in the newspaper: "Mother Gaṅgā is not smuṣik. Smṛti are the people's deeds and thoughts and greed of the people. She will purify the whole smuṣ. She is Mother." And the people who have to throw everything in, but she has a big heart; she doesn't get dirty. It's like a young mother who just had a little child. And the child who makes code, urine, the mother doesn't get dirty; she cleanses everything. And so the holy mother, the Gaṅgā from Satyuga, time from Satyaloka came. It is holy. It is. And the knowledge that was there with a pure feeling and a pure mind or consciousness, they have realized it. And those who go in doubt and so on, come in doubt again. It is like this: you come to the water and bring a vessel with half a liter capacity. The other one has a capacity of 20 liters. The third one has a capacity of 15 liters. When they come back, one brings only half a liter. The other one brings 20 liters. And this vessel is our heart. How pure we are and how much energy we bring. The doubters always have the thought that what you think will come true. One thought about comfort, comfort. The joy to enjoy, which I was looking for for many, many years, I realized here. So, every year in Prayāgarāja, Tīrtha Prayāgarāja. Rāja means king. This holy place is the king of all holy places, all holy pilgrimages. From the Himalayas, from the very top, from Kailāśa, Mount Kailāśa, and different parts of the Himalayas, hundreds of kilometers. I can't remember how many thousand meters long it is. Does anyone know? Show it to someone and tell me right away, "I know." Next time I will tell you how many Ṛṣis and Yogīs lived there. It's all water and holy scent and everything, the sand. Yes, it was so beautiful. We were there for almost seven weeks, and now I'm coming to Vienna. And so, in these summer times, now Śiva wakes up. And before he comes to his vacation place, he wakes up, moves his head, and cuts everywhere. As long as he cuts, you can say that he is from Śiva's heart. Śiva is the universal one. First, a few words about Śivarātri. Many of you know. The most merciful Lord, God, who can give you, with little prayer, everything. It is the most merciful father. When the child tells the father, "Please, please, father, I want to have this." Maybe the mother is a little bit strange. The mother doesn't want to, but the father says, "Okay, fine, I'll give it to you." Quiet. The heart of the father is so strong. And most of the children are spoiled by the father, not by the mother. Also, Śiva has given his blessing to the hunter. And the hunter had found nothing in his prey, and he climbed a tree because of the wild animals and waited for a deer or something to come. And he threw down a tree, a wild tree with leaves, and came to eat the deer. And he wanted to eat it, and a deer spoke to him. "Please, my family is there. I will greet them and tell them that I will not come back. Then I will come back." And he said no. "I waited a long time. I will shoot." But the deer said, "My children, my husband," and so on. Then he said, "Okay, go." And then the deer comes, her husband. And he wants to shoot, so I made beautiful faces. I saw the video. Have you seen Mahāprabhujī? Yes. And if you haven't seen it, buy it tomorrow and look at it. And the three women came and asked, "We only have one male. The others all died. Please don't eat, please don't eat." And he went home with empty hands. And his wife was angry. The children were hungry. "Are you stupid or something like that?" The man must be a little more cautious when he wants to have his married life peacefully. Always be nice to your wife, be kind to her, and be the yes-man. The woman is the goddess in your house, and you are the servant in the house. This is Lakṣmī, the beauty, and you are the light. It is like a bird; both wings must be healthy and have balance. He tells his wife and children everything, and they did not believe anything. And they come back, and he said he saw Śiva, and she said, "Are you stupid? There is no God, and there is no Śiva," and so on. And then they came, and Śiva appeared there. And that was in the night. And that's why it is called Śiva Rātri. Rātri means night. So on this day, he said, "I will be the most gracious and merciful to all my devotees. It doesn't matter what mistake they have done. I will forgive everything. I will forgive everything. And I will take over. I will take over me. All your sins are problems, and prayer for you to be free." And that is what, I don't know what is right, what Jesus said, "I will die on the cross for your sins, your mistakes." We should not make the mistake that he will be crucified. But it is as it was said in the Mahāpurāṇa. So it is called Abhiṣeka. He has always said that he will not fall asleep; he sits on the tree above. Sleep comes, then he takes the leaves again and goes down. Below was the Śiva Liṅgam, and the leaves fell directly there. He had a bottle of water to drink, and when he went up to the tree, the water fell on the Śiva Liṅgam. And Śiva said, "Oh, he makes abhiṣeka for me now." And so, there is a Mahā Mantra. And we don't know many other mantras for today. We don't know how we can, mānasā vācā karmāṇā, through our mind, through our words, and through our deeds. We don't know how we should praise you, oh Lord. But we know only one mantra. And this mantra is: Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanam, Urvārukam Iva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā'mṛtāt. Everyone knows this. And so, now the time has come. Now he can come. If he wants, he can call me. And then he comes, and there is water. So, I wish you all the best and many blessings. My dear brothers and sisters around the world, blessings of Satguru Swāmī Madhavānandajī and our Śiva Svarūpa Devapurījī and Mā Prabhujī. We are going to celebrate today, already here in the Vienna ashram, and blessings are coming to you everywhere in the world, wherever you are, from the holy place of Holy Gurujī's ashram in Vienna. And you are the blessed ones, that you are with us. Śivarātri is very significant and beautiful to fulfill our wishes, and the Lord Śiva is the most merciful. I have been telling something about stories about Mahā Kumbha and the Kalpavāsīs, Kāya Kalpa and Kalpāna and Kalpa, etc. These words in our tomorrow in Strelky, I will explain in English at the same time in the Czech Republic in Mahāprabhujī's ashram. So, you are welcome to the webcast, and now you can observe the pūjā. You are most welcome. Bless you in the name of Bhagavān Śiva. Oṃ Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. Oh, sorry. So come three, four. Others sit down. When they are up, then come on. Go on, hurry up. The Gaṅgā River is 2,510 kilometers long. 2,510 kilometers long, Himalaya. Thank you. And one thousand five hundred fifty-seven miles long. I'll quickly, please hurry home. Are you home? I don't want anybody standing here. Come decide, Harriet. Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam, urvārukamiva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam. Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam. Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam.... Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ...
