Balancing and Harmonizing

The spiritual path is a narrow lane climbed in the dark night of ignorance. It requires the perfect balance of opposing forces, exemplified by Śiva, who balances negative and positive energies. Practice without devotion becomes mere powerless technique, like a car without fuel. Do not hurry or celebrate success prematurely, for the path is slippery and full of deep holes. The distance to realization is vast, but through grace it becomes the internal journey of awakening the chakras within one's own body. Walk slowly and carefully, sustained by devotion and the Guru's mercy, avoiding the attractive melodies of the senses which lead one astray.

"Just technique is nothing. Your car is perfect in order, but two things are missing: battery and petrol, that’s it."

"Walk carefully, slowly. If you master this, if you come out of the street, before that, these 25 will sing you Mohanī Rāga, a melody which will attract you."

If you want to go to the temple, you have to climb a small lane in the dark night. You have to climb a small lane in the dark night. You have to climb a small lane in the dark night. You have to climb a small lane in the dark. Night, you have to climb a small lane in the dark. Night, you have to climb a small lane in the dark. So, good morning to everybody. It is a beautiful day, called Saturday. And blessings of Oṁ Śrī Alagpurījī Siddhāpīṭ Paramparā to all of you, my dear ones. We sang the bhajan from Bhagavān Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī. All the spiritual teachings, the knowledge called Vidyā, the mantra, the yantra—all this is the creation of Lord Śiva. Shiva is the one who brought the way. He alone can balance both the negative and the positive. If you go against the negative, it will become more aggressive and destructive. If you support the positive more, then again the negative will attack us. If we support the negative ones, then the positive will be suffering. So it has to be perfectly balanced, like in our electricity there are also two kinds of poles, and it is maintained and balanced at the powerhouse. At the same time, when we build a house or any tower, we have to make the safety cable, what we call earthing. So, if one of the powers attacks strongly, then this earthing will immediately take over and let it disappear somewhere. So it is that Śiva consciousness, it is that power, the strength that can try to balance or catch the lightning from the clouds. No power. Like, who would be able to drink the poison when the Satyuga, the ocean, was churning? The entire earth would be destroyed. But it was only that Śiva who could drink that most dangerous poison for the sake of the entire creation on this earth. And whenever an emotional attack comes, it is that Śiva within you that is balanced—not showing emotion, not showing weakness, but solid. At that time, it is said in the Rāmāyaṇa, you come to know certain people. Dharma, your dharma, means your principles, your disciplines. Also, your spiritual path, or the religion, dharma. Dharma is the principle. Dharma. Dhīraj. Dhīraj means wait. Be patient. Don’t explode like popcorn on a hot fan. And I surprise many, many people who are in touch with me and practicing and teaching meditation and yoga, but they are so suddenly sad, crying, screaming at their husband. And a good-hearted husband said, "Yes, darling, okay." That time he played Shiva, and he called me and said, "Swāmījī, I’m surprised. Your disciple is so, how to say, out of balance, hysterical." I said, yes, this history made a history: Mahābhārata, Bible, many things. So, yoga, practicing, and a yogī means to have that Śiva and Śakti which are capable to balance, to give the love of a mother and a father. Jak Śivy, tak Śakty, dokázat dát lásku vždycky. When the lightning comes, immediately neutralize it. So a yogī looks normal in the world, but that viveka, that knowledge, that strength, that spirituality, and that power—it’s called alert. It’s like a camera eye, or eagle eye, or a fish eye, seeing the ground, everything. Therefore, that developed yogī or spiritual person neither goes against nor becomes one with it. That’s a negative Āsurī Śakti and Devī Śakti. And this balancing, slowly, slowly balancing. So it is said, the Asurīśakti, they got then finally the power as the underground power. The below lokas are called the below the earth, where the kingdom of the snakes is. Do not try to destroy, but sometimes this Pātāla Loka... That’s called Pātāl Loka. There’s a lot of material things, a lot of bling-blam, but time to time they try to attack again. Like under earth, the stone plates, they shift a little bit, and an earthquake could take place, and that is within. Our unconsciousness, and that your Kriya practice, what you are doing, Kriya Yoga, that is a balancing and observing constantly the Pātāloka, your Mūlādhāra. So your Kriya practice is like a big brother is watching. But that can become Śakti Hīna, powerless. When the power loses, then again āsurī śakti becomes active. Then comes anger. The friend of the anger is doubt, and the friend of the doubt is ego, and the friend of the ego is greed, and the friend of the greed is selfishness, and the friend of selfishness is ignorance. Entirely, all the chakras are destroyed. Again, there is nothing. Why? Why does our practice become powerless? Mahāprabhujī said in one bhajana, when someone asked Mahāprabhujī, "I practice so much, why did it happen to me now?" Mahāprabhujī didn’t give an answer. As usual, he was great, sitting, listening. Then after he said, "O mind, you lost everything with Kusanga." And that’s why your Kriyā does not function anymore. Because you lost that bhakti, you lost the Guruvākyam, the mantras. Just technique is nothing. Your car is perfect in order, but two things are missing: battery and petrol, that’s it. So everything is perfect technique, but your Guru Mantra and Guru Bhakti are mixed up, and that’s why we are the victim of all kleśas and vikṣepas. And never, never hurry. A wise person said, "Don’t celebrate the day too early. After sunset, you can say, ‘Today my day was successful.’" And that’s why there are mostly evening festivals, birthday festivals, and many things, because they were successfully finished. And let’s say there is still half an hour, still the sunset is not finished. And your father died, or your mother died, or something terrible happened. You will not go to the party. You see? So don’t celebrate too early. Don’t think you are a perfect yoga teacher. I can teach how I like. Mostly, people are teaching yoga for kuṇḍalinī. You know, these all are many, many people that try struggling to give classes separately, somewhere private, for what? Money benefit is less, and loss is very much, and there you play like a master. Years and years, years of teaching a particular one system, you get acknowledgement that yes, now you are a good teacher. I am proud of you, many that our people, nearly now 40 years with me, 42, forty-two years, forty-one years, forty-seven years, thirty-seven years, thirty years, twenty years, they are precisely practicing and teaching yoga in their life. And so-called new yogīs, they try this technique, that technique, to be the best. "I meditate, and I see some teacher teaching somewhere. I can’t recognize the room because I was not in that room." But I see the person, and now I try to teach a different system. And I said, "Lost. Lost." Lost. What? Faith in yoga in life. The quality we are not going to make something like this and that only for 10 years or 5 years. This is the yoga in life, the first-hand ancient wisdom with the blessing of Alak Purījī. And I can tell you, there are only a few systems in the world which have succeeded and survived the last few decades. And one of these systems is Yoga in Daily Life. And of course, there are many injects which try to harm. But our crops are organic, so these bugs have no chance. We are not from this chemical fertilizer. More chemicals, more bugs. More chemicals, more bugs. So we have strong immunity, that’s spirituality. The confidence, and be sure. Even one person comes to your class, don’t be unhappy. And if no one comes, just be happy that you have time to practice now. So in every way, we are only happy, and we have lost nothing. In the last decades, I traveled far distances only for one or two people because they are real bhaktas. It is true. It takes a long time to fly. It takes time to get a visa and to accommodate in hotels. Everything, but only because these two souls and I go to be with them and take care of them. So don’t search for more students. For what? Because of the money. But in yoga and daily life, we have so many students, so many practicing. So many centers in the schools, in the hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private. You know how much yoga and daily life is in the world? Hundreds, thousands of locations, many go for holidays and take this small group to practice and have a retreat. But many, they don’t call yoga in their life because they lost the faith, and therefore it is śakti-hīn. Śakti-hīn means... Without energy, śakti-hīn means powerless. So therefore, Mahāprabhujī said, "Manuva dhīra dhīra ca, oh my mind, go slowly. Pomalu. We have time. Máme čas." Gurudev Mahāprabhujī is observing. Gurudev Mahāprabhujī is observing. When he will be speedy. When he will be speedy. He knows. We should go slowly. Solid. It is called the walk of the snail. The snail, you know, the little snake. Aha, hlemíždím tempem. That’s it. Manuā dhīre dhīre cāl, gigangar cārnāre vaj. Oh, my dear, walk slowly, slowly. We have to climb up to the heavenly, or Brahmaloka, house, house of Brahmaloka. And that is our Brahmarandhra, Sahasrāra Chakra. You know how much distance is between Earth and Brahmaloka? How many billion kilometers? A lot. We can’t count. So Mahāprabhujī said, "I will make short distance." Short cut. My God. Thank you, Mahāprabhujī. He made a short cut. It is the distance between Earth and Brahmaloka. It is the length of your body, from your foot sole to the Sahasrāra Cakra. Under your foot is Earth. And above your head is a Brahmaloka. Slowly practice, slowly, slowly, slowly. Therefore, manuva dhīrit, dhīrit chal. Go walk slowly, slowly. Why? Rādhā andherī, night is dark. And this night means ignorance, darkness of ignorance, so completely dark. We are still in complete ignorance. Maybe some of you are already, but I think I am still also on the border. If you know that you have that light, then tell me what will be after five seconds. It will be good. So we do not have that knowledge of the future, and we lost the knowledge of the past. And we are not sure about the present. Trikal Darśī, that’s called knower of three: past, present, and future. That is a Satguru Dev. We are not. We are all disciples. When a person asks Guru Mahāprabhujī, "Why do my old things not function? Mantras, fasting, kriyās." So Mahāprabhujī was sitting, not talking, but he saw all your past, present, and future. And he said—he didn’t say anything to him, otherwise, offended, the master has to be very careful. If I said Niranjan Puri was this and that bad, after that he will attack Swamiji. "What did you say about me?" Therefore, don’t say directly to anyone, "This is the Shiva philosophy." Just tell in wise words, "Oh mind, slowly, slowly." And why can’t you see how wise words are there? So we, normal creatures, humans on this earth, we have a lot of debt. We owe a lot to five persons: our mother, father, elements, devas, our teacher who taught us this worldly knowledge, and the ṛṣi or our guru-devo. So the science of yoga, meditations, many, many things, Āyurveda, Pañcāṅga, many. It is the blessing of the ṛṣis given to us, and if we misuse that for the sake of our selfishness, that is completely wrong. Then it is sin. You stole it, that intellectual property of the ṛṣis. Okay, no problem, you stole it. But now you misuse it, and you present it in the wrong way. There will be only the curse of the ṛṣis. Don’t think the ṛṣis are always very kind. That’s why every incarnation of God has in one hand a weapon and in one hand blessings. So, what do you choose? That time for Āsurī Śakti, when it becomes dominating, then the Śiva Trayaśūra goes, or this Śivajyoti from Trinetra. Or this Śivajyoti from Trinetra. That time becomes Pralaya, Mahā Pralaya. When Śiva takes Tārśul in this position, then the earth is trembling, not only the earth, the heaven and everything is disbalanced. They pray for Śiva’s calmness, and when he’s again calm, you can have everything from him. So this negativity is in us, and our anger becomes that tissue fire of our hate. With your whole body trembling, you can’t sleep, you cry, you are angry, you can’t eat, your skin is burning because the āsurī śakti has taken over. Now even your viveka is lost, or you are a merciful one. A very kind one, you are happy yourself and you make happy others. So, Galia Čoti, the streets are very narrow, and there are very deep holes there, and this is a very slippery, icy road. If your feet slip, you will fall into the deep, deep hole. No one can get you out. The hole of that naraka, and what they call the fege fire, I don’t know what is the word in English, fege fire, ever suffering till next creation of Brahmaloka. So you know how many are falling in this hole constantly? Every day I see, oh, I’m sorry, but even I can’t catch up. And a big, endless hole. If you will sleep, you will fall in. It means you lost your bhakti. Only in the Kali Yuga do we have the bhakti. But bhakti cannot be developed without karma yoga. In Kali Yuga, karma is pradhāna, and the main thing is karma. Therefore, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said, "Through the practice of karma, your yoga will be successful." Five elements, five prāṇas, five upaprāṇas, five Jñānendriyas, and five Karmendriyas. These are the twenty-five. Pach Pachis. Pach Pachis means twenty-five. These Vṛttis and Indriyas are all influencing us. Pach Pachis, Baili, Hokar, they come together and become strength. Mohani rāgasunāi. Mohani. Mohani means who attracts you. You know, when Bhagavān Dhanvantari brought the amṛtakalaśa, then, devas and rākṣasas were fighting for the nectar. And this was a fight of yugas. Then finally Vishnu came, but the rākṣasas hate Vishnu. They don’t like Vishnu, and the devas like Vishnu. So it’s a Kali Yuga: they don’t like someone, and they like someone. So Vishnu had to come in different forms. So, Kali Yuga is Kali Yuga, pradhāna karma, karma pradhāna Kali Yuga, and the woman pradhāna Kali Yuga. This Kali Yuga is a woman’s Yuga, Vivek Purī. Yes, and that’s why there is more Śakti Pūjā. Divine Mother, I mean not negatively, but it is a woman yuga, so men should be peaceful. That’s called "yes men." So Vishnu came as a beautiful young woman and was dancing, and Devas and Rakshasas were hypnotized by her. It’s called an eye-catching picture, and she said, "Why are you fighting? I will distribute equally to all." And she had one nice pot. On one side, in the same pot, one side nectar, and one side was the so-called somarasa. So somarasa, amṛta, camarasa, and ramarasa—there are many, many rasas. So in 1980, I saw for the first time that pot where Viṣṇu brought. So they made two in one. They brought me a thermos. And on one side, you press, comes hot tea or herbal tea, and on the other side, milk tea. In 1980, so I said, "Now Bhagavān Viṣṇu is doing something in Kali Yuga. You remember someone?" Do you know that? There’s a thermos, hot for two. There was one, it was two. Lord, do you remember? No. Oh, God. From which century are you? The first was presented to me by Dr. So you can ask them. And Vishnu was dancing, and he said, "Get ready, everybody, with your cup." And he was Mohanī. That’s called Mohanī Avatāra. So she was giving from this side; the devas had their cup, and it was nectar, and they were happy. On the other side, she was giving, and the rākṣasas had a cup, and that was like alcohol. Always, like a cobra, it is dancing. One clever Rakṣasa noticed there must be something wrong, black in the dahl, in the lintel. You know, lintel is nice yellow or white, but there is something black. From the same boat, the devas are happy and dancing, and we are all getting stupid. So he put his hand towards the deva’s side. Even God can be mistaken, so who are we? We are small human beings, so even God can be mistaken. If God can be mistaken, then who are we? From which field of carrots are we? So we are human, we have our human mistakes. And he drank, the rākṣasa just went a little drop towards his stomach. And Mohanī Viṣṇu realized this was a rākṣasa’s cup. Immediately, he took his Sudarśana Cakra and became Viṣṇu, and Sudarśana Cakra went behind to tip the head of the rākṣasa, and it did. The trunk went down, head up, and the head was talking. Tricky Vishnu, now you can’t do anything. The nectar of immortality is already in my Manipura Chakra. Your Sudarśana cannot kill me. And Vishnu, whenever you will make some good function, I will come as a destructive, and that head became Rāhu. And the trunk became Ketu. So, for those who study astrology, you must be very careful reading and know very well what is Rāhu and what is Ketu. And when Rāhu, Ketu, and Saturn come together, and comes the Śukra, Śukra Chārya Rākṣasa’s Guru, 100% sure, either it is death for you or destruction for you. The most terrible things happen to you. There is only one thing, Guru Dāsa, the Jupiter. And so Viṣṇu had to give a permanent place in heaven to two planets, Rāhu and Ketu. So it is the science of the ṛṣis. So don’t take it so easy. It influences our health. Our thoughts, our feelings. Suddenly, you become so angry, offended. Plus, as I told you yesterday, negative layers of energy from others in your body and mind. Galiyā choṭī rāt andherī rātsate me chiknāī agar se rapṭī pāv tumhārā poḍoge undī khāī manuā dhīre dhīre chal gagana gar chaḍanā. Mahāprabhujī said, "Walk carefully, slowly." If you master this, if you come out of the street, before that, these 25 will sing you Mohanī Rāga, a melody which will attract you, which is pleasant to these twenty-five elements. Five tattvas, five jñānendriyas, five karmendriyas, five prāṇas, and five upaprāṇas. This is a network, and within is the soul, and you have to come carefully out. The attractive sound can be taste for the eyes, for the ears, for the tongue, for the skin. Then all others are enemies for us. Only whom I love is the best one. Even your own mother and father, you want to go away from there. But you go somewhere into other darkness. Without knowing if someone will climb through the spinal column chakras to sahasrāra. Without knowing means realization. You have a kriyā. You have techniques. You have the yoga book. You know the benefit of it. That’s a theory. Someone said, "Tons of theory is nothing compared to a gram of practice," but we are not even perfect in theory. Someone said Āyurveda is only 5,000 years old, and the person is known as a professor of Āyurveda. So I said, "Sir, you are not a proper sir." Professor, proper. What about Satya Yuga? Dhanvantrī brought this Āyurveda. Yes, yes, Swamiji, but for Western people it doesn’t matter. Whatever we tell becomes authentic. I said no. Always present from first hand the real, the quality. And that’s yoga in daily life. Without knowing this, if someone tries to go up and practice, you will fall down again in the mūlādhāra. Without Satguru, Deva, you will never come to know. Mark Jīna Bhāī, the path is very fine, and that’s what Kabīr Dās said. That’s it. So Mark Jena is a very gentle, very fragile. This human life is given for a very short time. My Gurudev, Shri Devpurījī, Swami Deepke Sanyasi Bole, Satguru Devpurījī gave me the hint, he showed me the path. Mahāprabhujī said, "Guru Kṛpā seṃpai, this only we can realize through Guru Kṛpā." Kripa is lost, everything is lost. That’s why, Lord, I don’t ask for anything. Your kṛpā. That’s it. Kṛpā, kṛpā. And therefore, Holy Gurujī said very nicely, "Kṛpā Gurudevkī, Mahāprabhujī’s kṛpā." Deep Dayāl Dayākardhātā, Deep Dayāl Dayākardhātā. O Merciful Mahāprabhujī, please bless us, grant us Thy mercy. Evening, we will have various interesting subjects. Something about diet and illness. This is the last hope now in this modern technology. So how can we manage something, if not 100%, but at least 90%, to take care of our health? How important is food? So dharma, dhīra, dhīra,... dhīra. Time, critical time, you will know if they are on your side or not. If they are on your side or not, it will be shown only in a critical moment. Therefore, Guru Dev, Saran, Tumari, Chintrī, Mithā, Gurū, Śaraṇ, Chintrī, Karke, Karke, Śrīdīp, Nārāyaṇa, Bhagavān, Deveśvara Mahādeva, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān, Satya Sanātana, Oṁ Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. God bless you.
