Yoga is very much misunderstood
nowadays. Yoga is mostly seen
only as body movements
and the body forming in different ways.
But yoga is much more. All yoga
literature which was written a long
time ago says, 'The aim of a yogi
is to keep the body healthy as long
as possible.' We are blessed to have
a human body. The life of every
creature is holy because God's
light, His energy, His presence
and love is within us and in every
creature. This light is not visible
with our eyes. It is the very subtle
layer on our consciousness and
on the five koshas - the five coverings
of the Atman or inner Self. Practicing
Yoga in Daily Life harmonizes all
five koshas or layers of the body. If
we love our body, if we love our life,
if we love to live a long time, and if we love to
be healthy, then we should dedicate
a certain time daily to practicing yoga.
