Kali Yuga Me Satsang Hi Adhara He

A spiritual discourse on faith, divine presence, and enduring life's trials through devotion.

"All the incidents and deeds of our life give the rope of life into the hands of God."

"May the name of happiness spread across my heart... When you feel sad, only then you remember God. This means that now your good time has come."

The speaker narrates a parable of a devotee who feels abandoned by God during hardship, only to learn the divine was always present. The talk explores themes of karma, using stories from the Mahabharata like Draupadi's protection and Kunti's request for continual remembrance of God through both joy and sorrow. It emphasizes prayer, satsang, and honoring one's parents and guru as essential practices in the human journey.

All the incidents and deeds of our life give the rope of life into the hands of God. "Deena Bandhu, Deena Nātha, my rope is in your hands." There was a devotee who was deeply devoted and always felt that God was with him. Wherever he went, he carried the faith that God was walking alongside him. Then, an incident occurred in his life. He was in a jungle. The road was rocky, and it was a vast forest. As he journeyed, he was completely alone. God was not with him. He became very sad. "When my life was good, you used to walk with me. Now that this problem has come, even God is not with me." While walking, he emerged from the forest and saw a beautiful green tree. The trees were in full bloom, and a cool breeze was blowing. He sat down and noticed someone sitting nearby. He said with dismay, "O Lord, when I had good days in my life, you were with me. And when such a terrible incident happened, you left me alone." Then a voice came: "No, son. At that time, I was walking, and as soon as I put my hand on you, it is torn. What do you call it when it burns? Torn, torn. I was walking with you from that side, but you did not know." Thus, when the time comes, God accompanies His devotees. There are some incidents that happen in life to finish off one's karmas in this life itself. We think, "Why did these incidents happen?" But in this life, they will receive the pleasure of heaven or some other reward. It will be found, because by throwing a stone in the mud, that mud will splash back on us. The mud will come on us. That is why, if there is any such incident in life, our mind says that we have not done such a deed. But if some such external garbage has fallen on us, then this too will be cleaned. A great saint named Surdhājī Mahārāj prays to God. Surdhājī would never have done such a deed. Even then, it seems that I have done some deed, so he says, "O Lord, please wash away my deeds. Please wash away my deeds. Please bless me. You are my reflection. May you remain my reflection. May you remain my reflection. Remain my reflection. May you remain my reflection. May you remain my reflection. Reflection, may you remain my reflection. May you remain my reflection... Prabhujī, mere auguṇ chit na dharo. Sam drashti hai nāma tyāro. Chahe tu par karo, Prabhuji, mere augun chit na dharo." In the Kali Yuga, we do not possess that power to confront anyone. We are like crippled persons sitting helplessly. But Prabhu will help us. In the end, truth alone triumphs. Wherever His will prevails, truth will manifest. These are some difficulties for some time. When the war of Mahābhārata ended, Lord Kṛṣṇa thought that now he would go to Dvārakā. Lord Kṛṣṇa had His disciples. Gopī is His disciple, and the one who is called Gopī is His disciple. Now you call them Gopi and Gopi. In our language, we call them disciples. Lord Krishna thought that before leaving, He should meet Kuntī, the mother of the Pāṇḍavas. Lord Kṛṣṇa went to Kuntī's room and knocked on the door. Kunti said, "Come, Lord, come." Kunti was making a garland for her children. A mother is a mother. A mother should never be a mother? A mother can never be bad. One who did not serve his mother, who did not respect his mother, he has finished the life of a human being. Mother, father, mother, father, father, father, brother—you will get everything in this life. You will get a husband, a wife, a second husband, but you will get a mother and father only once in this life. And only in this human life will you attain the Guru. In the previous era, it was the opposite. In the previous era, there was no such thing as mother, father, son-in-law, father-in-law, father-in-law,... father-in. If the good soul does good deeds, then the good soul does bad deeds, then the good soul does bad deeds. Do you call your father as your father, or your father? If you call your father as your father, then you are abusing him. "O sinner, you have not found a place in hell. Rām Rām, your father is doing bad deeds. He gave birth to you, at least believe him." And mother said, "Mummy, he is a dead body. Why do you beat your mother? Live a long life, my mother." "Tameva mātā ca tameva bandhu ca sakhā tameva tameva vidyā." Does it come or not? In today's time it is the same: the service of mother and father. That service is the greatest. So Lord Rāma goes to Kuntī's side—Lord Kṛṣṇa. Kuntī says, "How did Kṛṣṇa come today? I am going to Dvārakā. If you want something, ask for it. And then I will go away." Kuntī thinks in her mind, "Will you give me?" "That is why I have come. If you want to give, then I ask for one boon. Giving to devotees is a sorrow, and giving to the nāsthik is a joy." Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa says, "Rām, Rām, Rām. Why have you gone mad? Have you eaten your bhaṅg? What is she asking for? Giving to devotees is a sorrow, and giving to nāsthiks is a joy. Think and say, once again, I am enjoying." Kuntī says, "I have thought about it and said, Kṛṣṇa, Kuntī never makes a mistake. Like you, I never make a mistake in front of Kṛṣṇa to ask for something. So once again, say it. This is what I say: the devotees are sad, and the ascetics are happy." Then Lord Krishna says, "Why are you asking for this, Kuntī? At least tell me the meaning of this. If I say 'Tatashtu,' then it will be done." When there is happiness, people go to clubs, discos, parties, here and there. There is a lot of money, and God is forgotten. And when you go to clubs, you have to hold a glass of alcohol. Take it and drink it. You don't have to take Kṛṣṇa, Bhagavān, and prasāda. As soon as there is happiness and money, you forget God. That is why Kuntī says, "May the name of happiness spread across my heart. May the name of happiness spread across my heart..." When you feel sad, you say, "O Lord, O Lord,... O Kṛṣṇa, O Lord, O Lord, now you are the only one." Lord Kṛṣṇa had a grudge against him? Draupadi tore off the sari of Lord Kṛṣṇa. He put a bandage on his finger, and Kṛṣṇa smiled and said, "Draupadī, you have made me a queen. But I will give you back so much of each and every thread." Nothing can be said. When Draupadi started crying, Draupadi saw that all the great Mahārāṣṭrians who were sitting there, they all became weak and powerless. In the end, only one solution was left for Draupadī. "O Krishna! O Govinda! O Gopal!" Immediately, Bhagavān increased her sari so much that Duśśāsana pulled and became naked. But not even a centimeter of Draupadi's body was exposed. So, God gives back the time to the devotee. That is why when you feel sad, only then you remember God. This means that now your good time has come. That sin is over. You put your clothes in the washing machine. And what happens to the clothes? You put hot water inside, you put powder inside, and they come out clean. If the mind that has been washed for many lifetimes is dirty, then so be it. If the mind that has been eaten for many lifetimes is sweet, then so be it. If the mind that has been eaten for many lifetimes is sour, then so be it. So this stain of karma that has been applied for many lifetimes does not come down from washing. It can only come down from satsaṅg. Satsaṅg is the basis for us in the future. So friends, the life of a human being is very difficult. We should make this life successful by praying to God. Four days of moonlight, finally, dark night. Now you are young, you are jumping and dancing. But one day you will walk with a stick. Now the time has passed. "Man bhai, rukvalo nai kriyotharo, chidiyon chuggayi khet. Ab pistane se kya hoga? Ke Bābajī, bache tabra ne panade? Un bache bhajan karo? Arre, śakti hīn ho jāo, phir kyā bhajan karoge? Same hai abhi se bhajan karne kā, aur apne santān ko acchī śikṣā dene kā. Imātrā ek yehī samā hai." Therefore, friends, with the Supreme Father Paramātmā, with Gurudev, the prayer is: May God protect you in this Guru Pūrṇimā Parva and Śrāvaṇa month, and may God take the name of Lord Śiva and chant the mantra of Lord Śiva. Om Boli Savi Om Śrī Devaīśvara Mahādevāya Namaḥ Om Śrī Devaīśvara Mahādevāya Namaḥ... Om Śrī Devaīśvara Mahādevā Nama Om Śrī Devaīśvara Mahādevā Nama Om Śānti Śānti... Om Namaḥ Śivāya.
