Ceta Ceta Aba Jiva Agyani

Awake to the precious human opportunity for self-realization.

The soul is consciousness. For countless lives it has slept, bound by the karma of the mind and body. This human life is a brief station. The train of time arrives and departs. Do not lose this chance in sleep and attachment. Self-realization is a brilliant sunrise of awareness, achieved through spiritual work, not mere idle sitting. Attachment to relations and possessions is ignorance and the cause of suffering, for nothing accompanies the soul at death. Only karma travels with you. Practice discrimination between the eternal and the temporary. Cultivate detachment through pure love, which is service without bondage. Live a happy life but do not suffer over what comes and goes. The awakened saints bring wisdom to guide all. The Guru's grace protects one from lower existences, but this grace is received through alertness and earnest practice. Value this body and time, for they are the instruments of liberation. Keep the body healthy with sattvic living and the mind alert through straight posture and sincere effort.

"Get ready, awake, be alert, wake up, oh traveler! The train is coming, the train is going."

"Nothing will go with us. This soul, empty, naked, covered with the gases of karma, travels into nothingness."

Jīva, the soul, is connected to our consciousness, to that awareness and alertness. So wake up! Chit means be alert. In military training, you have: "Attention! Relax! Attention! Go! One, two, one. Left, right." They wake you up. That is what Gurudeva is telling you: "O Jīvātmā, for many, many lives you were sleeping." Now you have the opportunity, the chance. Wake up! Be alert! Nindrā us ghar jāīye, jis ghar Hari bhakti nahīṁ hoye. Oh my sleep, go to that house where there is no devotion to Hari. Divasa ghamāyā khākarake aura rāta ghamāyā soyā. The day you lost in eating and drinking, the night you lost in sleep. What is the most valuable opportunity of being a human? What is self-realization? It is not sleeping, not going... okay, don't worry, that is not self-realization. Self-realization is like a sunrise—brilliant. Chetan ho jāre, musāfir, gāḍī ānevālī hai, gāḍī jānevālī hai, chetan ho jāre mo shab, gāḍī ānevālī hai. Get ready, awake, be alert, wake up, oh traveler! The train is coming, the train is going. Chetan hojāre musāfir. This life is a train, and there are stations where it stays for a few minutes for loading and unloading. Carefully, quickly. Similarly, this human life is that one station. Somewhere there is a junction, and it is changing. A time period is given. So your chance came, and your chance is going. Therefore, take advantage of being human. Be alert, aware, conscious. Then you will never have a problem about work, to find work. You will never have a problem with the family, never a problem to find a partner, and never a problem to lose a partner. That's it—Chetan. Yoga is to make you chetan. That is why Mahāprabhujī said he saw me—the reflection of that light. The ray of that light woke me up. And you see, all the great saints of the world, about whom you read, know, or hear something, they were cetana, awakened. They brought this wisdom to awake everyone. So yoga in their life is teaching us how to be cetan. So don't fail in little things. The video started. Everyone turned that side. No one stood up. Time for webcast. You are like a sunflower. When the sun rises, the flower turns that side. When it goes that side, your neck gets tired, so hard. The sun is setting, but you are all the time looking that side. You couldn't follow that light. Be alert, aware. So where are you stuck in this world? The soul has not done karma, but it is the victim of your karma. Because it is carrying you everywhere, and because of our karma, that soul is all the time present in the destiny. Rozumíš? You see, you are all sleeping. Nobody said anything; only one said yes. Do you understand me? Tak, a little bit better. So don't be sleepy. I try to wake you up, and you again fall down. Again, we raise your hand up, and you again fall down, and you again fold up. If you are chetan, you sit straight. And how are you all sitting? Oh, this is not a posture of a yogī. Only when they take a photo, then you are sitting like this. After the photo, again... What did I tell about the soul? The poor soul suffers because of our bodily and intellectual karma. The soul would like to go towards the light, but you imprison it. You tie it. You pull it back. Through what? Attachment. Attachment is ignorance. To become detached for our present consciousness is painful. That's why we are detested. If you detest, you are alert, awakened, and going towards self-realization. Be sure that self-realization will not come through your sitting all day like this, thinking "I am Ātmā." Self-realization comes through what you achieve through your spiritual work. According to Jñāna Yoga: viveka, satya, satyakāra, nyāya, nyāra. The first principle of jñāna yoga is viveka—satya asatya kā nyāra nyāra—separating reality and unreality. What is changeable is unreality, and what is eternal, unchangeable, is the reality. But how? Through vairāgya. When there is no vairāgya, then there is suffering. So detachment is a part of vairāgya, and attachment is a part of darkness, suffering. There are two kinds of attachments. One is our relations. We love. We love our children, parents, friends. Yes. It means we don't hate. We don't deny. We love, but we are free from attachment. Where attachment is suffering, and where detachment is more suffering. You want to marry some girl. You are attached to her, and she doesn't want to. You know what your suffering is? You are a test. Well, she was humble enough—I didn't say "stupid enough"; don't think, please. Somebody was thinking. Sometimes, some bugs come to me. So, be careful what you think. So, humble enough, she said, "Okay." Now you are happy, but now you don't like, or she doesn't like. Attachment is detest. You are suffering more than before. Therefore, the saw cuts both sides. What to attach, what to detach. Therefore, pure love—that is free from attachment and detachment. That's why we call God love, and love is God. It is that love. So attachment is the cause of suffering because there is no viveka. Therefore, it is śaitāna. And that is why it is called: "Oh my Jīva, oh my mind, oh my intellect, oh my mind, oh my intellect, oh my intellect... Oh, my dear attachment, you know, my dear. Your money and all your wealth, your houses, your palaces—this all will not go with you." If I think when I go, the whole Āśrama will go with me... He said, "No, no, this luggage is not allowed to be taken with you. This good remains here." So then, your money, your wealth, your old houses, your cars, and everything—everything will remain here. That is the pain of attachment. Luckily, he didn't say that her husband would be here. Určitě. But he said, with one promise, one condition: "I will go with you to the grave. But don't expect that I will lie down with you in the grave." Everyone who goes to the funeral, if they know that they have to go in, nobody will go. That's it. So nothing and nothing—even this body will not go with you. Until the last minute, this soul has to go alone, whether there is pleasant or unpleasant. No one can come to the other border. My dear, imagine this situation. It's not a joke. What will be the condition at that time? How will we feel? This is the question. You earned a lot of things; you made a lot of things. You created a lot of things, but finally you have to go alone without anything. So Gurudeva is explaining to you: Enjoy. Ānandam. Happy life. Do everything, but don't suffer for that. When it comes, it will come. And if it is gone, it's gone. Like a tree, the birds will come and sit; they are welcome. If they are free and fly away, they have freedom. So be like a tree. A tree has the title of holiness. A lake has the title of holiness, and rain has the title of holiness. And the saint has the title of holiness. A saint doesn't preach and doesn't exist only for one or two. They equally love all. The words of the saints are equally for all. Saints think, "What should they become? The whole world is my family." Saints think, but we others say, "What does he think? We are not his family." But when you realize, then you really feel one is family. So nothing will go with us. This soul, empty, naked, covered with the gases of karma, travels into nothingness, up or down—svarga or apavarga—either to the universe or down into hell. So don't be afraid of anyone or anything, but only of one thing: karma. Karma will always accompany us, and time will not remain with you. Whatever you speak well goes with you. It will lead you to good things. And whatever you speak badly, it doesn't matter toward whom, it will lead you down. The choice is yours. This can only be decided and known by one who is awakened, who is alert, who is conscious. To write such a bhajan is not a job of the intellect, but it's a matter of realization. Who can see the journey of the soul in loneliness through empty space? That's it. And not only the soul, but others also. So you see, the souls are passing. Trikāla Darśī can follow our path, and finally that Gurudeva becomes a justice for you, who can free us. That's why we adore our Gurudeva, and we are working and praying every day. Singing—not you. Don't be, just don't go automatically. So, "Mātā" means mother. "Pitā" means father. Mātā, Pitā, kuṭumba—your family, kabila—all your relatives, they will create more and more temptation for you to be a pest. We love our father and mother. We love our children. We love our great parents, of course our brothers and sisters, all my relatives and my friends. This is the beauty of life, a protection of life, but don't be caught in the attachment. Serve, love, help. Be with them, but without suffering. That's it, and that's not easy. So do not, Lani Chaviri, create more and more attachment and temptation. And it is not good if you are against them. You should never be against them. Love more and more. Create love more and more. That is happiness. Mātā Pitā Kuṭuṁ Kabīlo. Yam kī mar paḍe sir, kaun thā pīṭha kuṭaṁ kabīlā? Ye dūnā lālacā āmāth pīṭha kuṭaṁ kabīlā? Yidū lāl yam kī māḍ paḍe siryup, kaun chuḍāve re samajā? Chet chet jīva, ājñā. So we love, we should love, we should take care, we should serve our own people. All humans are our own people. But afterwards, when the soul will go alone, and if there is bad karma, then Yama—Yama is the God of death, the messenger of death—who will take you, they will begin to beat you. But parents can't see you. You know that I often speak about that book where a psychologist has written about life after death. And who died? Now they call it clinically dead for some time only, but that's like a dream. Many lives, but this dream was only one and a half minutes. After this body, you have enough time to suffer—enough time, or enough time to be happy, ānanda. So he said the person was on the operation theater, a soul was out of the body, and he goes outside. And family members are sitting and crying. And the soul tells them, "Don't cry. Look, I'm here. I'm happy." But we can't see with this physical body the astral one. We can't see, and we can't help, so these relations are limited. This relation will not go with us. Only our karma. Awake, my dear, awake. You slept enough in the past life. Now, quit your sleep. Eat healthy vegetarian food. Try to avoid all kinds of grains in the evening. After five o'clock, no more bread... no, just light food: some soup, some green bean, mūṅg salad, fruits, milk. You will wake up so fresh, and you know what you are eating. I'm not giving you a lesson on cooking. So be alert, sleep less, but don't suffer. If you have a lot of toxins in the body, a lot of gases in the body, and they stress, then you need long sleep. So sāttvic food gives more sattva qualities in your life. Our dear Muktāmaṇī has a very nice slogan: "More sattva qualities," or something like that. What is that? What? Enhancing the quality of life? She changed it. That's not so perfect. "More quality in life." Anyhow, that's also good, but that was the super. So, who is going to help us? Our karma. Our destiny, and how will Guru help there? Not his body, that Guru Vākya—that is the light of the wisdom with you. You think that Mahāprabhujī will go with everyone when they die? It's automatically programmed. You will be directed to the light of Gurujī. Or you felt you are rejected, so again you have to go down and down and down. No, and then you have to go down, down and down. Chet, chet, yabha jīva, chet, yabha jīva, chet. Very good. Yes, therefore, Holī Gurujī said: "Satguru Śaraṇa Gayā Binā Mūrak Kuna Bhava Pāra Lagāve Re..." A guru kṛpā bina jaya corāsī, gota khāverī. Guru samājām. A guru kṛpā bina jaya corāsī, gota khāverī. Satguru Svāmī Madhvānandī Bhagavānī. So, Gurujī is giving one solution. Satguru Śaraṇa Gayā Binā Mūrak. O my ignorant one, without going or seeking the shelter of the Gurudeva, who will let you cross this ocean of ignorance? So, in that level of awareness, how does Gurudeva help? That's called Kṛpā. Guru Kṛpā Bina Jaya Chaurāsī. If Gurudeva's Kṛpā is with you, you will have no power, or anyone have a chance to go into the lower lives. But when the kṛpā is lost, then we are lost in darkness. Therefore, always we say, "Thy mercy, O my Lord, I beg for Thy mercy." That means, O Gurudeva, daj kṛpā. O znamená, O Gurudeva, o tvoj kṛpā. Chet, chet, abhājīvā. Very good. Therefore, attention, everybody sitting again like this. You are a yogī, not so old like me, so yes. As long as you are cetan, you will get all the wisdom. And when you are sitting like this, you squeeze everything in the stomach. Nothing goes to maṇipūra. It's only maṇipūra which can direct the wisdom up. So don't press your maṇipūra. Even when you are looking at the webcast, don't sit like this on the sofa. Sit straight. Always, you know, there is my disciple. I am not afraid about her, and she always sits like this and looks at Swāmījī's video. I am telling her, "Not you." The problem is that sometimes I see through the webcast. I should not look so far. So beautiful, you are sitting and I am looking somewhere else. She is very nice. She is sitting very straight now. Today is Devpurījī, you know. Just now, he is preparing. So, Devpurījī is preparing now to come back to the Śivaloka in a few hours. Āgyā vakt āve na pyāre, phir piṣṭ āve re, samajā. Āgyā vakt āve na pyāre, phir piṣṭ āve re, samajā. Āve na chet, chet abhājī mānasara. Human life is very, very precious. Nothing can be that much more precious than human life. Because through this life, through this body, we can get back to the Brahmaloka. Very precious. This body you cannot buy in any market. And this body, you can't borrow someone else's. It is only the chance. Therefore, with all our efforts—through practicing āsanas, haṭha yoga, kriyās, prāṇāyāmas, and good diets, a healthy way of living—with all our best efforts, we should keep this body. It is very, very precious. Don't torture the body. Don't give trouble to the body. It is something very valuable. If you know the value of your body, you will not play with your body. Then you will not be able to play with your body. The one who is stupid will lose this precious jewel because of carelessness. Because of the sleep of ignorance, we lost such a precious jewel. Oh my dear, the time that has gone past will never come back. Sorry, I've forgotten. Can I go back and get it? There's no more choice. I want to go. Okay, go. There is no body. It's burned into the smoke and under the earth. It's rotten. No chance to come back. Just forward. The karma will say, "Hey, this side." Gaya Bhakti, no time will not come today. I was thinking when I came first time to Śrīlā Jī and had a program, and we went for a walk. My God, two, three hours up and down. Everybody said, "Swāmījī, we are tired." I said, "Get up. Show me how tired you are." Ah, yogī, come on. And today I told myself, Maheśvara, do you remember? I would like to be that one. That time is gone, so time is gone. Most precious is this body, and the second one is time. The rest is only waste. Those who are aware of these two, then is the awakened one. That one will achieve; the other one will be lost. Then you will be so sure. So sorry, but it's gone. Now to be sorry or worry, it doesn't help us anymore. This is called the Sandeśa, the news, the advice of Gurudeva. Sandeśo wālo lāge satguru sāyabko. Sandeśo wālo lāge satguru sāyabko. Māra Sāṅgaru sāyabko, Satguru sāyabko, Māre dhinna garu sāyabko. Yes, that's it. Therefore, sandeśo means the message, the words, the advice of my Satguru Deva. Sandeśo valo lage valo means dear to me. How dear to me are the words of the Gurudeva, and in that is the kṛpā. Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Suta Haṁsa Chetāve, Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Jagāve. Kahe Madhva Ānanda Bhajan Se Saba Sukh Pāve, Ae Guru Samjhāve. Kahe Mādhvānanda Bhajan Se Sab Sukh Pāve, Ae Guru Samjhāve. Hā, Chet Chet, Abhī Jīva Agyānī. Let her, let her. Śrī Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Śravaṇ. So, Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīpa Nārāyaṇa, Suta Haṁsa Jagāve Re. Bhagavān Śrī Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī awakes the sleeping swans. That is our ātmā. Kāyā mādhava nanda bhajansi sab sukha pāvirī. Therefore, holy Gurujī said, through the bhajans—meaning meditation, pūjā, prārthanā, mantra, kriyā, everything—everyone will be happy. That's it. So, I wish you all the best. Tomorrow we will speak more about our Devpurījī. So, according to the moon calendar, Indian Jyotiṣa, this night, or Indian time, is when Devpurījī goes into Mahāsamādhi. And actually, a Bhakta should fast tomorrow? So Thursday, you need not to fast. Who can't fast? No problem. For children, pregnant women, or those who have medical problems and have to eat something, need not fast. Dīpan Bhagavān, Devī Svarmādhī, Madhya Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān, Svānandā.
