Sri Alakhpuriji Siddhapeeth Parampara

The science of yoga is an eternal light from the ancient seers, unchanged through all ages for human well-being. Its roots are in the Satya Yuga from the great saint Alakha, connected to the Himalayan Siddhapīṭha where the divine trinity resides. Creation begins with Svayambhū Śiva, with Viṣṇu as protector and Brahmā as the physical creator. This sacred region, with its rivers and ṛṣis, is sustained by yoga's science. Our lineage, the Ālak Purījī Siddhapīṭha Paramparā, carries this same flame through generations. Yoga in Daily Life is not mere physical training but this spiritual light. Teachers must uphold its quality and principles without compromise, knowing this path leads to liberation.

"Ekohaṁ bahu syāmi—I am one, and will multiply in ānanda into many."

"We change the lamp, but the flame, the light, is the same."

Om Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavāne Kī Jai. Śrī Paramahaṁsvāmī Maheśvarānandajī Gurudeva Kī Jai. Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai. Good evening to everybody, and welcome. Dobri Vecher vshem. Viteyte. Today is the second day of the Yoga in Daily Life Sādhanā camp, and I welcome all of you—the teachers and instructors of Yoga in Daily Life. We are all proud of you for the wonderful work you are doing around the world. You carry the light of the wisdom of the ancient saints who brought forth the science of yoga, a science given by Svayambhū Śiva. It was designed for the well-being of humans. That science, that system, its wisdom and principles apply to every yuga. Nothing can be changed, nor is it necessary to change. Yugas have passed over millions of years, but that wisdom, that truth, that light through the science of yoga is still what humanity enjoys. Those great seers knew what humans would need in the future: to protect themselves from illness and difficulty, to give them the right direction in life, to understand and protect nature, and to love and protect all living creatures through human work. The roots of Yoga in Daily Life are from the Satya Yuga, from a great saint known as Alakha. You can read about Ālakpurījī in the Mahāśiv Purāṇa and the Skandar Purāṇa. The seat of Ālakpurījī was in the Himalayas. There are three main seats of the Divine there: Svayambhū on Mount Kailāśa, Viṣṇu in Badrināth, and Brahmā in Satopat. Śiva then takes his place in Kedārnāth. It is in that part of the Himalayas that this trinity dwells. In a way, every yuga changes. In every yuga, everyone has their duties, and the work is distributed: who will do what. But at the very beginning, creation begins with Svayambhū Śiva. He is known as Sarjanhāra, the creator. "Ekohaṁ bahu syāmi"—"I am one, and will multiply in ānanda into many." This occurs through the divine resonance, the cosmic resonance, which is Aum. Within Aum are all three tattvas: Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva—Akār, Ukār, and Makār. They represent creation, protection, and liberation. The final stage comes when adharma is suffering and Mother Earth is suffering. At that time, all will be finished. These two measures of work and responsibility belong to Śiva: to create. Then Śiva gives the instruction to Viṣṇu to protect and look after creation. And Brahmā, who helps to create the human race from which Manu was born, becomes the physical creator, while Bhagavān Viṣṇu becomes the protector. Bhagavān Viṣṇu said, "But when Viṣṇu cannot operate everything," then military rules are invoked, and that is Śiva. There is again Mahāpralaya. These three trinities come once a year. There is a beautiful lake called Satopat between Kailāś, Kedārnāth, and Badrināth—Kailāśem, Kedārnāthem, and Padmānāthem. Further from there is the path to heaven, Svarga Loka. That place is called Svarga Rohiṇī, the stairs to Svarga. Svarga is more than what you call heaven. All have to enter; there is a gate. In the Kāraṇa Śarīra, the Sūkṣma Śarīra or astral body, many, many ṛṣis are still there. Our world or Earth survives still through their blessing, though they do not come among us. Their shelter is over us because we are all ṛṣiputra, the children of the ṛṣis. From there, many glaciers, waterfalls, and springs form many beautiful rivers. On one side is Gaṅgā, then Sarasvatī, which finally must merge into the Alaknandā, because this river is dedicated in the name of Ālakpurījī. The entire area there, hundreds of square kilometers, is called Ālakapurī. Because the majority of the water comes from there, it comes near Badrināth, another hill, and there comes the beautiful holy Gaṅgā river, the Maṅgini river, which is another holy one. These three rivers make three streams, creating Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumnā—these three meridians. Between them is Alaknanda. From one side comes Bhagīrathī, named by the great saint Bhagīratha. Bhagīratha had a great disciple, a Siddha. Her name was Gaṅgā. Gaṅgā was the sister of Pārvatī, and there was a great work of Gaṅgā to direct the Gaṅgā River towards the north, towards India. So Ṛṣi Bhagīratha said, "We shall give the name of this Gaṅgā because my disciple Gaṅgā has worked." A tato Gaṅgā, sestra Pārvatī. But many ṛṣis are sitting; they do not let the Gaṅgā disappear. So there are many holy Gaṅgās, and they all merge in Dev Prayāga. 'Dev' means goddess; there is no semi-god. I do not know which stupid mind translates 'god' as 'semi-god'. Before five decades, there was no name 'semi-god'. But someone, in order to damage the Sanātana Dharma, said "semi-god." What is 'semi'? It should be Svāmī God. God is God; there cannot be 'semi'. Fire is fire, whether it is a big fire or a little fire. Water is water; it does not matter in which form, liquid or otherwise. So that area where the ṛṣis dwell is the place of their story, the divine place. How did they become ṛṣis? How did they become so holy? How could they stay for so many years? Through the science of yoga. In the Himalayas, they have now found a kind of herb or mushroom which is so valuable that if you eat one centimeter of it, for one week your body generates so much heat that you can sit on glaciers or in snow and still be sweating. You need not eat. Now, some people and neighboring countries try to make medicines from this discovery. But there are imitations that are not of the same quality you can find there. So they survived; they lived happy, joyful meditations through yoga, and through the science of yoga research, they brought this beautiful science of yoga for mankind. This is our spiritual lineage, called the Ālak Purījī Siddhāpīṭ Paramparā. In this last century, our universally worshipped Bhagavān Devpurījī traveled to Kedārnāth, Badrināth, and Kailāś. Somewhere in those hills, he met Ālakpurījī. Devpurījī lived in a cave for a long time. Ālak Purījī said, "Śiv Saurabh Dev Purījī," and he brought these blessings. So we are all followers of the Ālak Purījī Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā. Finally, you find, or we found, our roots, and this will bring you to Svarga Loka, which we call not only Svarga but Brahmaloka. In this, Svarga Rohiṇī brings one to Svarga, and Ālak Purījī brings one to Brahmaloka. We are proud. Bam. Good. Now, we may not know, we have to realize, but we can feel we remain on this path. So the science of Yoga in Daily Life is not only physical training. It is great because inside is the light of Ālakapurī, who was a light of Svayambhū Śiva. So you can proudly say, and you have the right to say, and you should say, that "I belong to Ālakpurījī Siddha Pīṭha." Siddha, you know, means 'perfect'. And Pīṭha is this holy chair. So whoever sits on this chair will be known as the Pīṭhādhiśvara. It is said: we change the lamp, but the flame, the light, is the same. Understand? We change only the lamp, but the flame is the same. So we are in different bodies, in different places. But since you received the light during your mantra, or through the blessings, you received that light, therefore we are loyal, we are dedicated to our Siddhapīṭha, the Ālakpurījī Siddhapīṭha paramparā. What is a paramparā? The generation, the lineage. So what we call the lineages, from Svarga Loka, we are still connected; this light is working. So, you are all yoga teachers. In English, it is good—'teacher'. In Sanskrit and Hindi, it is 'guru'. Does it matter, female or male? In spirituality, there is no gender duality. Most of our sannyāsīs who became sannyāsīs write as male. They do not say, "I am female." Generally, women say, "I will go," and men say, "I will go." So, all these women say, "I will go," because they lifted their consciousness above the genders, and then they said, "I am ātmā, not male or female. I am. Ahaṁ Brahmāsmi." You see how slowly, slowly they are upgrading. So it does not matter where you are. All teachers, gurus—in German, they do not like only the male form, so they said 'Yoga Lehrerin', so they have to put 'rin' down, and 'Lehrerin', okay. Languages are always a little bit funny, but for them, it is like honey. So let us speak the Amṛtavāṇī, the sweet speech. So this is now, in our Yoga in Daily Life Sādhanā camp seminar, you have received very beautiful subjects. This time you have six subjects—my God, so good, even I cannot read them all. There is spirituality, philosophy, āsana, anatomy, prāṇa and kuṇḍalinī, manas, buddhi, citta, ahaṁkāra, consciousness, different levels of consciousness, and kuṇḍalinī and cakras, and holy lineage and teaching of Ālakpurījī, Siddha, Pitā, Paramparā, and world religions, the multi-religions. So we will have many sādhanā camps and sādhanā seminars like this in the future, so you all teachers have the proper information and can give this knowledge, teaching, support, and help to others. But there is one thing: you have to keep the quality. In quality, there is no compromise. So do not disturb yourself if someone says, "Well, I want to have some more exercises for my muscles." We have every day 108 rounds of Kathuparanam. We will see those muscles. We have many bodybuilders who are vegetarians. In Croatia, our Hanumān Purī won a medal. Now he is working as a bodybuilder and sometimes plays in Bollywood in India. He writes here, "Proud to be vegetarian." So, good health. Yoga in Daily Life is a complete system. So do not envy that someone has something better than us. If they have better, we are happy. We wish them great success. But we should know the principle. Every child says, "My mother is the best mother," okay? So our Ālakpūrī is the Pitā Paramparā. It is sure, and you are all the followers of Ālak Purījī Siddhapīṭha Paramparā. We have found our roots of spirituality. So, I wish you all the best, and tomorrow we will speak again. Also, all of our dear brothers and sisters around the world are with us, listening to our webcast. Today, our dear sister Narabda is sitting straight and listening. So we send her a lot of love. Your Master is content with you. All the best, and now we will have another program. The webcast tomorrow will be at 11 a.m. I bless you in the name of Ālak Purījī Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā. Therefore, it is, Gurudev, I will be thine. Let us sing once: "Gurudev, I will be thine." Look, our Pushpa, not in Mexican language, please, okay, English. And then we have finished the cast. Bless you. Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai. Viśva Guru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Paramahaṁsa Śrī Svāmī Maheśvarānandajī Gurudeva Kī Jai.
