The mystery of human life

Human life is the final step toward self-realization, requiring the energy of true education. This essential wisdom is found first in the family. Among all creatures, only humans can achieve this awakening through the eternal science of yoga. Yoga is not postures but the principle of Sanātana, using authentic practice to activate the body's energy. The universe contains both divine and negative forces. Helping others can sometimes provoke their latent negativity, turning them against their benefactor. Rituals like incense use specific herbs whose smoke can induce a painless, trance-like state, but excess must be avoided. Mantras act like a rising sun, dispelling the fog of karma with the wind of knowledge. What we eat influences our entire being, and modern nourishment is deeply manipulated. The knowledge of cooking is now essential for a complete human life. Without it, health and clear thinking are compromised. One must learn to prepare food properly or at least know what one is eating. Formal education serves to secure sustenance, but the highest gift is the knowledge of cooking, which ensures health, happiness, and prosperity.

"The best education is that which we get in the lap of our parents."

"Those who cannot cook will be lost."

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhiṇaḥ, Sarve Santu Nirmāyā, Sarve Bhadrāṇi Paśyantu, Mā Kacchit Dukha Bhāg Bhavet, Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. Mahādeva kī jai, Hindu dharma samrāṭ, Satguru Svāmī Madhvarānjī Bhagavān kī jai, Satya Sanātana dharma kī jai. Among all creatures, human life ought to be the last incarnation. It is only one step towards Brahmajñāna. But this one step towards Brahmajñāna needs immense energy to step further. This means education. The best education is that which we get in the lap of our parents. Ethical, moral, and spiritual education is only possible in the lap of the parents. Afterwards, it is possible but rare that you will find someone who will educate you to know what and how we should achieve the perfection of human life. In 8.4 million different creatures, humans have that ability to get realization, Ātmā Anubhūti. The mystery of human life is dormant or is not in our memory. It is very peculiar, but it is possible to discover it. That is called the science of yoga. Yoga is not a part of any religion. If anything, then every religion is a part of yoga. Because nothing is older or more ancient than yoga. Because yoga is the principle of the Sanātana. The Sanātana is eternal, and yoga is eternal. That means not particular postures. The postures are just to keep the body flexible, to keep the body healthy, to activate certain gland systems as well as the energy centers of the body through the postures, through the prāṇāyāmas, and through concentration. But the posture should be authentic, so-called the first hand. That is the teaching, preaching, or blessing of Svayambhū Śiva. All the different sciences, all the mantras, yantras, tantras, all the ceremonies, rituals, everything is created or given by Śiva for the sake of the protection of good things. But at the same time, we cannot destroy all bad things. The seeds of such a weed are spread throughout the whole universe. That is called āsurī śakti, negative people. And when certain qualities cross together, the good person changes into a completely negative way, like a devil. One snake was caught by a bush fire. A man was riding a horse, and he saw the bushfire and the big snake running left and right, trying to escape. That man had a big bamboo stick, and quickly he took the snake out of the fire. Now the snake came to that man and said, "I will bite you." The man said, "Why? I saved your life, I protected you." The snake said, "That’s why. I would have suffered a little bit and then burned in the fire and died. But you prolonged my life. I have no hope. I will bite you." So when you help people, you give them something good. Suddenly, they are bitten by that fire of anger or jealousy through their kuśaṅga. Then they attack the one who was helping and guiding them. It could be your friends, your parents, your children, your students, etc. So the āsurī śaktis and devī śaktis, the positive or divine, negative or devilish, are tranquilizing. And it makes the people go there again for prayer. And you come out of that happy, joyful because it changes certain brain waves. Long ago they developed agarbatī, or incense, which came long after; otherwise originally there were tree gums and some herbs that have no negative effect, no allergy for so many people. They like to smoke that smoke of those prayers and rituals. When you smell the smoke more, after half an hour, one hour, you become painless. You do not feel the pain in the body. You become like in a trance, so do not do too much. Otherwise, you become dependent, so a little. Ati sarvatra varjante—too much is prohibited. So mantra is like when the sun rises, and a strong sun is coming, and with wind, the fog disappears. So the mantra is like when the sun rises, and the fog disappears. So the sun of your own mantra and the wind of your knowledge free this soul from the karmic spider’s nest. Nature. Now, anything we eat influences our entire being. Nowadays, our nourishment is manipulated in many, many ways. On the 9th of November 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m., Swāmījī said, "Those who cannot cook will be lost." Whatever you will eat is completely manipulated. And I tell you, my friends, now, today, you will need a little piece of earth to grow your own food. That will come already before. You know what happened in the time of the Second and First World War? Especially in Europe. But luckily, you had enough earth, and you could cultivate, grow your own food. But now you have the food, but you do not know how to cook. That is it. So I decided that in 2015, on our website, Swāmījī TV, we will have all kinds of national food of every country, about at least 20 recipes, peacefully, exactly introduced. And Ayurvedic and vegetarian cooking will be available; people can go to Jādon and will get a diploma in that cooking from our college. People do not even know how to make fire. And if they make fire, they burn the whole building. Or is the fire of the heart and brain of the people negative? I tell you one little story. And you will see this on YouTube, "Yoga in Daily Life," or as a video. It was two weeks ago, on the 26th of October. Something happened. Have you interest? Should I tell you? Around 10:30 in the morning, I was sitting in our meditation or prayer hall in the Jaipur ashram. About 20 or 30 Indian bhaktas were sitting around me. Some family bhaktas came from a small village: that man, his son, his grandchildren, and his wife. She was sitting near me, very devoted, very simple. She cannot write A, B. The black, white, black on the white. For her, it may be some footprint of the birds and a signature thumbprint. The thumbprint signature is the real one in the whole world, as your signature validates your thumbprint. Anyhow, but she is so clever, so wise, so humble. Great. You will rarely see such a lady nowadays. I was sitting, and I said to her, I said to her husband, "I want to have a chapati from the bajrī, a millet chapati." And he said to me, he gestured toward his wife. I said, "Of course, I was talking to your wife, not to you." I told Swami Gyaneshpurījī to buy 10 kilos of chapati flour, because it is not only for me, but for all. And I told her, "Go in the kitchen, but do not cook on the gas or electric oven." And she said to me, "I do not know how to put the gas on and off. I never cook on the electric or the gas oven, only on the fire." I said, that is why I ask you. This discussion was five minutes. Meanwhile, the chapati flour came, already ten kilos. I said, "I have to go somewhere in half an hour. You have to serve me." She said, "No problem." She did not go to the kitchen. This is the best part: she took the big plate for making flour. Her husband brought four bricks and one basket of the sand. That was within a few minutes because we had some bricks in the corner of Shri Ashram and some sand. In front of the Śiva Hanumānjī temple in the Ashram, she put the sand on the ground because it is a cement floor, and it will become very hot and the cement will crack. So wise she was. If I will tell any European, they will not think like that; they will just make a fire on the cement. It is not a joke, because I have experiences. I know one European lady, she wanted to cook on the gas fire with my beautiful wooden pot. It was a beautiful pot, you know, so that pot you can use only once. She was surprised how the flames are bigger. It was—it is not a joke—and that person is ready to say, "Yes, it was my mistake." And he is sitting here. She put the sand, she put the four bricks, three sides. Her husband brought the wood, made the fire, fanned it, chapati fan, and she made now, and with the hand she made this hand chapati. It was this size, more than this size. And if you or I will try to do it, it will break a hundred times. You will not believe me, that lady in 18 minutes served me the best chapati. And we were there, about thirty people, about twelve or fifteen police, guards, and bhaktas, and ashram people. I admire her. That knowledge is missing, my dear. Such knowledge we need. Only your computer knowledge, your computer cannot give you chapati outside, out of your laptop or computer. So that is what I want, that our people go and learn. It will be a one-and-a-half-year course. Or three years? Know the name of every spice. In which, what should we put? Yes. You can put anything, that is no problem. What can happen? Either you get diarrhea, or vomiting, or constipation, or tastelessness, or a funny taste. Can you imagine on the spinach vegetable you put a slug over the cream? On this spinach vegetable you put the slag on it. You know, you have the cake, like that. Yes, people do because they do not know. A newly married couple, and now they begin to cook. She boiled the spinach, and to make it soft and tasty, she put this cream on it. So, my dear, the future of the human as a healthy life, as a normal thinking life, depends on the nourishment, and that will be if you can cook. And if you cannot cook, your human life is still not complete. Believe me, my dear, believe. The day will come and you will say, that Indian man, he was telling, unfortunately it is true. What you can give best to your children is knowledge of cooking. You do not need anything else. You will be healthy, happy, and have a prosperous life. Other education, school, university, this is only for getting food in your stomach. We should study college, university. We should learn different subjects. Mathematics, science, every different faculty, medicine, everything has a sense in it. And because food is getting, day by day, more and more complicated. This morning, someone told me that in certain braids, they put human hair, make a powder, and put the hair inside. They make a powder from the feathers of the chickens, and they put the powder in the white bread. So it is softer, and when you make a toast, it becomes crunchy. And you know what? More, therefore, we say it. If we sit, then sit with the brother, not with the enemy. And if you eat, then eat from your mother. And if it is too hot, even you can have a little shadow of one bush, even a thorny bush. For good health—physical, mental, spiritual—we need proper food. And there is a whole big chapter about cooking. It is called Pakśāstra, a philosophy of cooking. So thank you. And who would like to go for making a diploma, you are most welcome to come to Jādon. And come here in your Yoga in Daily Life centers, you can teach further to get a diploma from Jādon, affiliated with the Jādon College. When you come home, then you should cook well. If you buy from the market, you should know what you are eating. Then it is better to eat only fruits and nuts. Mṛtyor mā amṛtaṃ, sarveṣāṃ svastir bhavatu, sarveṣāṃ śāntiḥ bhavatu, sarveṣāṃ puṣṭiḥ bhavatu, sarveṣāṃ pūrṇam astu. Śukīno bhavahata prabhu-dīpakārata mā prabhu-dīpakārata hī keva. Yambakajamai śugandhim puṣṭivā śānti śānti... Śrī Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī, Śrī Śrī Dev Purīṣa Mahādeva kī, Dharm Samrāṭ Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandjī Bhagavān, Satya Sanātan Dharma kī Jai.
