To complete a chapter we have to dedicate one life

The chapters of life and the fire of yoga define karma's path.

Life begins as a blank chapter, filled by actions good or bad, which stay with consciousness forever. Interpretations of good and bad vary, yet all deeds accumulate on the soul. Through prayer, blessings from God or Gurudeva help complete unfinished chapters. The fire of yoga, Yogāgni, burns all karmic seeds. Unfinished chapters demand a return to human life for resolution. Ignoring nature, humans reincarnate, unlike animals that follow natural order. Keeping animals in cages creates karmic consequences. Svādhyāya, self-study, involves daily prayer and inner reflection. Rudrākṣa, when consecrated, provides protection and must always be worn. Initiations by gurus into laṅgoṭī, vibhūti, Rudrākṣa, and mantra complete spiritual authority. Holy texts in public spaces generate good karma. Vidyādhyāna for students requires honoring Sarasvatī for clarity. Svādhiṣṭhāna Chakra balances Śiva and Śakti, Asuras and Devas. Maṇipūra Chakra, with Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī, is creation and immortality's center. Blood production at the navel sustains life, a divine mystery beyond science. Chapters are steered to the dhūnī, burning in awareness.

“Yogāgni, karma dagdhāni” — through the fire of yoga, all the karmas, the seeds of the karmas, can be burned, roasted.

“The chapter which we did not complete, we have to come back to complete it.”

In the first principle of yoga, yama and niyama are ethical restraints; but here, it is not yama. Yama is the messenger of death. So, it is Yama. It is not yama, it is not yama. What did he say? I forgot. Yes, it is always Yama, so it is said. Svādhyāya: sva means self, sva means the ātmā. Sva Adhyaya, that is the chapter — the story of life, the situation of life. When the chapter begins, it is a clear white paper. And as the chapter unfolds, it becomes filled. Whether it is written in golden letters or in dark ink, that makes no difference. And it is not easy, and we do not know what will come in the next minute or second, good or bad. Whatever is done is incurred upon our consciousness, which goes with us forever. That is the evidence of our life. So, what have I done in my life? Good or bad? We have to purify with good things, not the bad. Now, what is bad and what is good? For someone it is bad, but for someone else it is good. This is called the prapañca of this saṃsāra — it is simply the restlessness, the gusts of this saṃsāra. God does not pay much attention to many things, but still, what we have done and what we are doing — the chapter of our life, when it began, and how many chapters we have closed with great enthusiasm — the best way to complete what we could not complete is with the help of God or Gurudeva. And how do they help? With a blessing. And how do we obtain a blessing? Through prayer. Even if you sit somewhere in another part of the world, your prayer will be heard, because God has no form but is with us. He has no eyes, but He sees everything; He has no ears, but He hears everything. That chapter can be deleted, cancelled temporarily, or deleted permanently. Therefore, it is said: “Yogāgni, karma dagdhāni” — through the fire of yoga, all the karmas, the seeds of the karmas, can be burned, roasted. The chapter which we did not complete, we have to come back to complete it. The chapter you began with someone, you did not fulfill; you left, and you began some other chapter. You did not complete it, and you began yet others — yes, out of our ignorance. But you know, for every beginning and end of a chapter, we have to dedicate one life that belongs to human rights, human principles, human life. Otherwise, what is the difference between humans and animals? And it seems that many animals do not go against nature. No animal goes against nature. There is only one animal that does not care, so again it has to come back. And so it has to go back into a different life. What is the life of a bird locked in a cage? What could be a life prison more than this? Therefore, by ethical principles, do not keep them in a cage. Many of what you call house pets do not belong there. They have their own kingdom. Our ancestors also had house pets, but they were free in the street. Slowly, slowly, we imprisoned them. Animals, the dogs — they are exactly like the housekeeper, the other dog, the animal keeper. And animals that are free in the forest are healthy. Anyhow, so svādhyāya: svayam, study thy inner chapters. And pray for them. Dedicate the time to practice or to pray, and we are all on the right way. So our chapters may be steered and put into the dhūnī. That is why Gurudev has a dhūnī. That is why many yogīs always have a dhūnī. In my room, I have a dhūnī. Today it was thirty-two degrees outside, and in my dhūnī it was only thirty-seven degrees, because all karmas are burning there. So our chapters from past and present, what we are creating, should accompany us in the future — or we can do something. We have both kinds of chapters. Do not think that you did bad things. Whatever bad things happen, if you think it was bad, it was out of ignorance — out of unknowing. But if you drink poison, consciously or unconsciously, it affects us. So what should we do when we drink poison? A doctor? Which doctor? The one who treats all the illnesses from many, many lives. That is written in Līlā Amṛt, what Holī Gurujī said about the āśram in Ahmedabad, in Ahmedabad, India. So these are the levels of consciousness, step by step. The kuṇḍalinī — that consciousness, that awareness, that light, that love, everything — but it is deep, dug underground, underground of past life, and it is with us. The second chakra, which comes, is called Svādhiṣṭhāna. If we define it: sva means svayam (the self); adhiṣṭhāna means the place. So that level of our consciousness was originally called Svādhiṣṭhāna, “Svayam Kā Iṣṭhān.” Gurujī said, “The animals and thieves, they work in the night” — those animals that do hiṃsā, violence. They cannot live in the light. They do not want to come to the light. All of them go under the earth or into caves, and at night they are active. We are active in daytime in the light, and we sleep at night. At that time, the Asuras were trying to come. And that influences our life, our chapters, and our karmas. So there should be protection. Many people have done research; it is not only what you call blind belief. A certain ring, a certain mālā, a certain stone… Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā… So, symbols protect us. What does that mean? What does the Asura’s negativity mean? It is energy, and that energy protects us. What do you have on? Rudrākṣa on your body? If you have Rudrākṣa on your body — which is very important — this Rudrākṣa must always be on your body. You know that there are many Rudrākṣas, and many have been purified and had the ceremonies performed. The words which I cannot remember are pūjā and abhiṣeka. In German, you would say "eingeweiht." For example, we have in India someone who supplies Rudrākṣa—he is a very good person, and I think the Līlā is having those Rudrākṣas. That Rudrākṣa you must have under your body. And if you are a sannyāsī, no matter from which tradition—you may wear a white dress, an orange dress, or a yellow dress—once one has exactly received all kinds of initiations: who gives you your laṅgoṭī, especially under Vihāra? That is your laṅgoṭī guru. Someone who gives ash on your body is your vibhūti guru. And finally comes the Rudrākṣa Guru. And then you come to your Satguru, who gives you mantra. So when you sit with sannyāsīs and you don’t have Rudrākṣa, they may ask you many questions. This Rudrākṣa is a great protection and acknowledgement, and that Rudrākṣa which has been given by one who has purified it—so all these things we have, such as Om, etc., are at home in your room, some good things. It has an effect on our health and our consciousness, our destiny, and a happy life. One has to explain this; otherwise, nowadays people don’t know anything. Now people know only two things: eating—it doesn’t matter what, but eat—and earning money. Only these two subjects. The third should not come between. When the wife begins to practice yoga, many nights the husband cannot sleep, and he says, "What a crazy lady," because this lady cannot explain it to him. He should know that this lady, this wife, sees his savior. Husband and wife are best friends. We call those two the real friendship. In this way, humans have researched many things. If you take only an ornament or some kind of symbol, that can harm. That’s it. So dress, also your shoes, your hair—everything matters. So, this chapter, Svādhyāya, is the inner chapter, the second study. Svādhyāya is for his people, elderly people. But they should read authentic literature, books. If you go to a doctor’s reception hall—maybe a dentist or another doctor—in the waiting room there are many magazines about fashion, about this, about that. Instead, they should put all holy books. You can read the Qur’ān, you can read the Bible, you can read the Torah, you can read the Bhagavad Gītā, Rāmāyaṇa, Vedas, Upaniṣads, Līlā Amṛt, and so on. That will give good karma to the doctor. You see? Not one side, everything—all spiritualities. So, Svādhyāya means every morning you read that book. The Bhagavad Gītā is known as the cow that always gives milk. You may read the same śloka every day, and that śloka, every time you read it and again later the translation, will give you new knowledge. Like the best quality of food: as much as you chew, you develop the taste in the mouth, the aroma—and a fast book, a fast food. Fast food, if you chew it long, you will feel like vomiting, and bad smells will develop. That’s why fast food is quickly put in the stomach. What happens after that, we will talk differently. So, that is Svādhyāya. And the third is called Vidyādhyāna. That is for the students—for the school children, university, etc. Vidyā means knowledge, but you learn in school. And the Lord of Vidyā is Divine Mother Sarasvatī. So for all the students, if they want to have good notes and not be nervous on the day of the examination, they should have a Sarasvatī picture in their bedroom. So viddhyā, the knowledge, adhyayan—again that adhyayan, learning. That chapter will give us lifelong what we were studying. And so, Svādhiṣṭhāna Chakra, where Śiva and Śakti are both balancing—it is only Śiva who can balance both qualities, Asuras and Devas. Then comes Maṇipūra, where there is Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī. So, in Kali Yuga, more bhaktas are Lakṣmī’s bhaktas. You know, in India there is one kind of spiritual path they call the Jain religion. They worship Lakṣmī but not Viṣṇu. They worship Gaṇeśa but not Śiva. Yes, the best thing they took it, so, Lakṣmī. The name Lakṣmī is so pleasant. Lakṣmī means money, prosperity, wisdom, knowledge, love, happiness, beauty, Śakti, truth, mother—what not? Lakṣmī. Śakti? Without Śakti, Lakṣmī is powerless. But now we are above that. So tomorrow we will continue with the Maṇipūra Chakra—what Lakṣmījī and Viṣṇu are doing, and how we will cross this border of the Maṇipūra. Maṇipūra is the middle point of the universe. The entire universe is our body; our whole universe. Why do we go out? Our center is the navel. There is a lot of energy. You remember I told you a few days ago? Ask the best scientist, the best doctor, the best engineer, please. Can you produce one liter of blood? Or one drop of the blood? That quality is everything that we have in one drop of blood—everything, whole body diagnosis. No science can do that still. But God made the world perfect, and it is in the Maṇipūra Chakra where there is creation, because of Viṣṇu. There is blood; blood is produced and supplies many hormones. Blood is supplied through the Maṇipūra Chakra. The Maṇipūra Chakra is the chakra of immortality. So let us today relax and sleep. And tomorrow, again at 11 a.m. And so it is said, "What is what? And who is more than what?" That’s called: Śeṣa Maheśa kare guru se, mujhako śaraṇa rākha, tana mana dhana, yāra paṇa ho. Prabhu tana mana dhana yāra. Devīśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai, Mādhav Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Satya Sanātana Kī Jai, Oṁ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ, Hari Oṁ.
