To keep yourself clean means to have selfrespect

A spiritual discourse on the inner science of kuṇḍalinī, cakras, and the disciplined preparation required for spiritual knowledge.

"This knowledge, which we receive in the last days, is like precious diamonds, and it is important to know how to deal with it."

"Right knowledge doesn't come by just sitting and waiting. It needs a lot of self-effort and discipline to make that vessel ready to receive."

Swami Viśva Gurujī addresses a gathering, emphasizing the preciousness of esoteric knowledge on kuṇḍalinī and cakras. He explains that receiving this wisdom requires inner purification, contentment, and strict personal discipline, using analogies like cleaning a cup and sharing anecdotes about past Kriyā Anuṣṭhāns. The talk covers the need for a regulated ashram environment, self-respect, and concludes with a poetic description of the body as a divine coach from a traditional bhajan, linking the inner cakras to higher spiritual realms (lokas).

Respected Viśva Gurujī, regarding kuṇḍalinī and cakras, I think you are doing a very good job. This knowledge, which we receive in the last days, is like precious diamonds, and it is important to know how to deal with it. It is a lot of mental nourishment and spiritual nourishment, and it is up to us to digest it in a proper way. Everybody digests according to his own experience, his own background, his own digestion power. As it is in life, there are two main fires in us. One is the digestive fire. It is the physical digestive fire. The second is the mental, or spiritual, fire. When one is strong, the other becomes weak, and vice versa. So especially in these days when we have this Kriyānusthān, it is not a bad thing to calm down our own fire, our own Maṇipūra fire a little bit, to increase the power of our spiritual fire. And then, when we go back home, we can start again with the opposite. I remember the days as they are in old age. One always remembers the good days of youth. When we had Kriyā Anuṣṭhān in Semhriyar, there was a small group of 30 people, and what we do nowadays in Kriyā Anuṣṭhān is about half of what we did at that time. From the beginning, there was a minimum of one week of strict mauna, and the whole day was very regulated, very disciplined. And according to what you put into it, you received. Nearly every work that we are doing, it's the kind of intention why we are doing things that brings the fruits. There is a very famous song that has been selected as the most important of the last century, and that is called "I Can't Get No Satisfaction." "And I try, and I try,... but I can't get no satisfaction." It was composed by a group you all know, the Rolling Stones. And it reminded me again of yesterday, what Swāmījī told about when Gurujī and Mahāprabhujī were walking in the river, and there were so many stones around. So, how long does it take for the rolling stones to get satisfaction? But it... has the right shape, the right size, the right weight. Rolling stones, which are like rolling stones, achieve satisfaction so that they have the right size and weight. And basically, it can happen through knowledge. Through the right knowledge about our own inner nature, about the science of yoga, and at least at the end, ātmā jñāna. And this is what Swāmījī tries to make clear to us in so many years. Right knowledge doesn't come by just sitting and waiting. It needs a lot of self-effort and discipline to make that vessel ready to receive. And for that, it needs first to be emptied and cleaned, because the dirty cups that are lying around are really not a good sight. Basically, we all, to a certain extent, are a dirty cup, so we should be very careful not to leave that cup somewhere around, but to clean it every day in our sādhanā so that it is ready to receive that knowledge. Because that knowledge of kuṇḍalinī and cakras is very precious, and it's very pure. If you put a fresh chai in a dirty cup, who will be really satisfied with that? So maybe that is the reason why there is no satisfaction. And satisfaction is a way, a necessity, to be content. Contentment is a very crucial part in the spiritual life. Even if you don't realize anything in life, if you are content in life, you may be a very poor man, but the whole world belongs to you. And contentment means to be satisfied with that which is there here. That would get you now what you are now. And if we are not content, or not even in that surrounding, we can try many things. We can jump between gratification and satisfaction, but we never reach contentment. So we are waiting now, I think very eagerly, all, that Swāmījī may at least fill a few drops in our cup of that nectar, of that amṛt. What comes out of his own inner self and his experience, because Swāmījī is Mahā Anubhava. That means thank you very much, and Hari Om. I thank you, and Hari Om. Hari Om, Hari Om,... Hari Om. To Devpurījī was high. This night I had a big, big dialogue with him. No and yes and no. And we should have Devpurījī's picture here, the other one, not the painted one. He told me he doesn't like his beard here. And I told him, "You are above liking and disliking." And he said, that's not your business. And so begins when we speak about Śrī Dev Purījī. Unfortunately, we do not have a real picture of Devpurījī. It was not easy to make any picture. It didn't come. Devpurījī said, "When you want to see my picture, look to the sun. That's my picture." Other things, you will just throw the paper somewhere. So maybe someone managed without noticing anything, a little glimpse, and then there is a painting, a hand painting. So that we have only one picture. So, Devpurījī is Devpurījī. Alokpurījī, after my long, long prayers, imagination, struggles, some gleams came. How does he look? But what I feel and see, you cannot, and what you feel and see, I cannot. And so, I don't want to make some different imaginations. But, you know, when I go there and try to pray... And, you know, my computer is a very old computer. It takes time to download. Alakpurījī, there is a megabyte, too many megabytes. But still, I wish, I wish, I wish it will be something coming, and we can have that picture. Well, when a certain situation is, the meditation doesn't function. I wish to give you for every chakra one meditation. But as soon as I come out of my room, wherever I see some people hanging here and there, we should not allow them to come here. And that is what Premanānjī was saying yesterday. Mahāprabhujī and Holī Gurujī were not merciful, you know, sometimes. Because some people who are hanging here and there came to Gurujī. Gurujī said, "Why did you come?" "For darśan." "Oh, now darśan is done, already go? Don't come again." He said, "Why?" "Because you come with five." "No, I'm alone." Gurujī said, "You bring five, you come alone, and you bring five flies in my room." You know, when you go to your farmer's house, how many flies are there. And the farmers in the mountains look at their kitchen. Especially in Hungary, so many flies. Cheese lying, meat lying, bread lying, and flies are there. Many, many flies, or you bring mosquitoes with you. Similarly, one spoils the atmosphere. Tell them, "We give you money, please go back." Not your money, but we will give you extra money. Go back. Because so many of you honestly want to do the sādhanā. There is one organization, and they have a meditation program. But to come to their meditation is as hard or difficult as getting their registration, like getting a visa in some countries. You don't know how hard a visa is to get. So there is very strict, only one blanket, your yoga mat, nothing else. And this is for your sleeping, for your sitting, everything. And one blanket, if you're cold, and that's only for night. During the daytime, they sprayed a little water on it, so you can't put it on your body and sleep. There were two brothers, and their father died. One was clever, and the other one was a little, very humble, innocent. And he respected his elderly brother very much. So they shared all property, but two things were left. How to share? One was a blanket and one was a cow. So either we cut it into two parts, the blanket is not useful then. So the elder brother, who was cleverer, said to his younger brother, "We don't cut in two pieces. We do like this. Half time is yours, and half time is mine. So night is mine and daytime is yours." So it means he has to take care of the blanket. Dry, clean, everything. And at night he takes the blanket away, and his youngest brother has called him the thing. So, one day, one sādhu came like Dayārāmjī, and the youngest brother asked Swāmījī, "What can I do? Can you solve my problem?" He said it's very easy to solve this problem. He said, "How? It belongs to the daytime. You can do anything." He said, "Yes." And at night, he's having it, he's sleeping. He didn't like it. So, Dayārāmjī said, "Half an hour before sunset, put the blanket in the water. And when the elderly brother comes, he can say, 'Please, it's your blanket.'" He was angry. He said, "Why are you angry? You can do what you like in the night with a blanket." So he said, "Sorry, brother, we do something." About now, the cow, they cannot cut the cow into parts, and both of us want to have it. So the elderly brother said, "Dear brother, of course you are always in the front. So the front part of the cow belongs to you, and the back part belongs to me." Now he said, "OK, very good. It means he has to feed the cow." The mouth is in front. Eating, drinking, everything. But he has no right to milk it, because that's already my part. So he is enjoying milk, and you are only feeding the cow. Again, Dayā Rāmjī came. He said, "This problem." He said, "No problem, your friend's part is yours." He said, "Yes." "When he's milking, you take a stick and beat the cow's face and make noise, shouting. The cow will not let him milk. Friend's part is yours; you do what you like." So brother said, "Sorry." And that's it. Some people are coming to take the best part. They have nothing to do, hanging here and there. So every year, the same thing happens. My motivation is gone. I only went around for ten minutes, and many things were there. So, please, when the seminar is finished, the program is finished, then you are welcome to hang here, and there is no problem. It's our ashram; every tree belongs to you to sit under, not on top. So please, all organizers of the different countries, do not send such people here. So we can have our sādhanā. We are here for sādhanā to achieve peace, harmony, and spiritual development. If you can't get up at five, then you will not get a night blanket and also not a mat. Only that bed. That's it. So please, five o'clock, like a military order. The military has learned from the yogīs, from sādhus like you. Punctually. Clean your bed, make your bed, pillows, blankets, everything in order. If you walk through the rooms, you see how it looks, how you can imagine, how it looks in your home. I don't dare to go to your rooms. So that develops either spirituality, when we are keeping everything in the right place, or our inner self is completely confused. Disorder within our thoughts and breath. So, when you come home, look how your rooms look like. You are here, your husband is there. But be sure your husband will clean everything and put everything in the right way. He wants to make you happy. He's happy because finally you gave him a chance to do something. Or your wife, how nicely will she keep? Stains and guṇas are not only on dirty plates, but also in your bed. Your room: open the room, have fresh air. Your bathroom towels and your dress—don't keep your dress for one month to wash at once. It takes very little time. Three times a week, at least, wash your laundry. So it is said, what is the difference between self-respect and ego? Ego is always showing pride. But self-respect is you keep yourself tip-top. Means others will respect you. They will come near to you. And if you don't want that someone to come near to you, then, choose some person in the bus holding something here. And you are a smaller person and your nose is stuck in here, then you will know what it is. But if you are clean and nice, people have respect. So self-respect is not an ego, not pride, not arrogance. We respect the people, you know, because often when I eat spaghetti or something that is hanging in my beard, I don't see it. And who is sitting in front of me? He's doing like this. And I'm surprised he doesn't have beer. Why is he doing like this? Then I realized, aha, okay. So it's a respect to our brothers and sisters. And doing the sādhanā, that's very important. So, I wanted to speak about something today, but time does not allow us. Because you have today a special karma purification. Means, make your room tidy, and it should be given an award. Whose bed, bed sheet, pillow, blanket, toothpaste, soap, towels, socks? How nicely it is there. And you get an award, one pizza in Tilak, with one of the most senior citizens of yoga in their life. Yes. Yes. Who has the luck to get wisdom from the seniors is a blessing. Well, we speak often about many things. It is not easy to find out. We say there are fourteen worlds, seven below and seven above. After that, it's called 2,100 different Brahmāṇḍa sun systems. Chauda Loka, Ikiso, Brahmans, 14 worlds, and Ikiso means 2100 Brahmans. Gurujī said one bhajan, beautiful, beautiful bhajan. And that also keeps the subject to the Kuṇḍalinī. And this bhajan Mahābodhi Gurujī wrote in Nepal in 1965. And it was printed in 1966. I remember very well. O my brothers, sādhus, saints, Marvelous, wonderful, my coach. In which I was sitting many times, So, kośa is the body, and this body is a miracle. What we call India is incredible India. Atulā, India, Bhārata, Atulā is incredible. Similarly, our body is that incredible. We still did not understand our body. Maximum 2% to 7%. The rest we don't know. Science is trying, but every science will fail. God-made world will always be God-made world. And the man-made world will be the man-made world. God-made world is perfect, and man-made world is imperfect. It's beyond our capacity to understand everything. Because in every cell of our body, there are several universes, not only one. That's only and only. That self-realized ātmā jñānī can understand. But still, they cannot know everything. So, how do we know? Therefore, and this body's miracle, as long as the consciousness is there, life is there. When the soul goes out, everything collapses. The queen bee flies away, and all other bees will immediately fly behind, though there is some baby still in the bee heap, and all is gone away without attachment, without mercy. And so, when our soul is gone, the whole body remains here. Nothing goes with us. At the end, it may become one handful of ash. All tattvas in tattvas. O my brothers, my coach is wondrous. Saddhavai ajabrat hamara, betha varam bara saddhavai varam. Many times I sat in this coach, meaning many lives. Beautiful. Thus Gauḍa chalais ratme. The ten horses are pulling this coach. Kṛṣṇa had only five, but we have ten. What does Kṛṣṇa think? And if we have ten, we have eleven. Always we are ahead. Therefore, Kṛṣṇa has to come behind us again. A wonderful walk of these horses. Wonderful. Buddhi kī lagām lagāy, and the rope, the chugal. What is chugal? Chugal, that is the intellect. Akaṭ manhu shyara, and this mind is very alert. And this mind is controlling; this mind is the boss of these ten horses. It means the mind is also one kind of sense. So you can say eleven senses. Yes, buddhi is intellect, and very alert. The mind, he let the horses run now. Beautiful. Rājā Ātmā, the king of Ātmā, is sitting in this coach. Jñānkī Bhakti, and we put light on the knowledge. Vivek Mantri Rehesatme. The secretary of the Kratma is Viveka. Anubhavakārata Vichāra: Talking the dialogue about the experiences of life. Anand bhaja bhaja ratme. And endless instruments are played in this body. That's called Nāḍī Yoga. Nāḍī Yoga, beautiful. So this is what—only in this physical body. What is more beyond, that is the difference. So, lokas, it is an expression. These lokas are within us, and they are going to the cakras. Every cakra is a loka. Every cakra is its own solar system. It's our body, our world. Atha, endless. We can't know, and we can't know how many cubic liters of water the ocean has. So we hear about the cakras, saying the highest loka is called Brahmaloka. And that's why I call it Brahmaraṇḍra. Brahmarandhra is the door to the Brahmaloka. And that Brahmarandhra is here on the top of the head. And that is easy to open or find in Brahma Muhūrta, before sunrise. After that, you cannot. You know, we spoke about the Nāgamaṇi. The jewels of the King Cobra, which are on the head of the king cobra. In the night, he puts out his lightning, and certain creatures come into the light, and that old, old cobra can eat them. If someone tries to take it, approach, immediately, that cobra will take this maṇi away and swallow it. You can operate the whole body of the cobra; you will find nowhere this maṇi. Chemically dissolved. So similarly, after Brahmamūrta, if you search your Brahmarandhra, nothing. It's the dark room again. Yes. And what is beyond the dark room? Forehead wall. And why is our forehead wall so strong? Many, many karmas, layer after layer. Sādhāvaya jyābharatha mara vaita varam bara. That is our coach. So the higher loka is called Brahmaloka; in this body, it is called Satyaloka, Brahmaloka. And that's called the level of the absolute, one without a second. But many don't dare to go there. Many run away from the door. "Oh no, I want to be still here. Please don't take me from Loka. Swāmījī, please, what have I done to you? Why, for my whole life, have you pulled me into the Brahmaloka?" Then go to the Bhogaloka. So after the Brahmaloka comes Tapaloka. That we will talk evening, Bhavik Vecher.
