Being a yogi means to live consciously

Yoga is the ancient practical science for achieving health and divine union. Health is the foundational wealth enabling a long life to fulfill human dharma. This human birth is rare and gifted with intellect, a mighty tool requiring ethical and spiritual education. Our immense inner potential can be awakened through practice, transforming human awareness into divine consciousness. Laziness is the great enemy; action must be taken now. The aim is to reach Brahmaloka, a state of no suffering, from which blessings continuously flow to earth. Blessings arise from forgiveness, understanding, and pure love, representing God's compassion. Begin each day with gratitude and the conscious thought, "I am human." This awareness fosters peace and activates human qualities like love and kindness. Happiness, freedom, and contentment are God-given; do not complain. True yoga is a conscious way of living, protecting others, and allowing God to act through you. Practice is paramount over theory.

"Tons of theory is nothing compared to a gram of practice."

"Peace begins from our own heart. There is no way to peace. Peace is the way."

Good evening, and blessings to all dear brothers and sisters. We have a VIP guest, the consul from which country did you say? From Prague. Welcome to our center, our husband, and our dear friend who came from very far away, from a far distance, a place called Khorī Chānī. Welcome, our neighbor. Well, yoga is always our subject. Yoga is a very ancient science of body, mind, and consciousness. There are two main points to practice yoga. First, good health. Health is the first wealth—physical, mental, social, and spiritual health. We seek health in order to live long and healthy, so that we can fulfill our human dharma, to protect all creatures and the environment, and live a long life in order to achieve the final goal. For what is a human born? That means to become one with the God consciousness. To be born as a human means not that we have achieved our goal. Life is a journey, not a destination, and every milestone for a human is not easy because, as human beings, we create or we face different situations. So, the practice of yoga first blesses us with good health. Yoga is a practical path, not a theory. Some philosophers say, tons of theory is nothing compared to a gram of practice. Whatever we practice will help us. Humans have immense potentiality within them. Whenever God incarnated, He incarnated in a human body. It is rare to get a human body. The Creator has created 8.4 million different creatures. All are children of God; all are the light of God. According to this principle of creation, there is no difference between humans and other creatures. But humans have got something, and that’s a very mighty tool, called intellect. It is that intellect which needs proper education—the education which should have ethical and spiritual education, which makes a human as a human. Whatever we have achieved till today in technology or in different subjects, though we are human, we become very quickly dependent on the subject that we study. Within us is immense energy, immense qualities, which we can use. We call in India, Nara-Nārāyaṇa, bansakta hai, from the human you can become a god. Through your or our education—different educations: one is in the external world, and one is in the inner world. That inner world which we have, the talents which we have, that is awakening through practice and the yoga. It is one of the most ancient sciences. At the beginning of these yogas, we believe, we know, Svayambhū, the Śiva. It is Śiva who gave us the science of yoga, not as a religion, not as a philosophy, but the path to the Self, to live happy, healthy, and in harmony. We don’t need anything in order to practice yoga. We need just a two-square-metre place, maximum one little blanket. To practice, the best time is early morning. So, yoga can give us everything, but we are lazy. The greatest, or biggest, or most terrible enemy of the human is laziness. We often try to excuse ourselves: "Oh, I will practice tomorrow." Who has seen tomorrow? None of us have seen tomorrow. Tomorrow will always be tomorrow, and yesterday was always yesterday. Whatever we would like to do, achieve, do it now. So, there are, in the human body, many miracles. Miracle means not that we would like to demonstrate the miracles. The aim of human life, and everyone’s life, is to come to God, to come to that Brahmaloka, where there is no more suffering, no more coming. Our being here on this earth is a blessing for all. And when we come to Brahmaloka, it is a continuous blessing for this earth from us. Being in Brahmaloka, all the credit comes back to this earth. That’s called blessing, and blessing cannot be bought from anyone. Blessing comes from the heart, and in the heart we believe in God. Every one of us has blessings. We have the blessings of our grandparents, our parents, our neighbors, our brothers and sisters. Everyone has a blessing to give us. This gift only humans can give. And we shall utilize this, but we have a big treasure of blessings. Blessing is there where forgiveness is there. Blessing is there where understanding is there. Blessing is there where there is pure love. Therefore, blessing itself represents God. God gave us that mercy, the compassion to give further in the form of blessings. So we may have nothing, but we have blessings, and nothing can be compared with the blessing. We should never say, "I am poor. I have nothing." God said, "I gave you everything, My children. How can you say you are poor? Trust in me. Just do something. Without doing, nothing will happen." So, every morning when we get up, the first thought is this: to thank God, any God in which you believe. God is God. For everyone, there is only one God. Thank you, God, that I could have a peaceful night. Thank you for your protection. And thank you for giving me some experiences in dreams, and healthy and conscious, I could wake up. Second, we say, "I am human." This kind of awareness, which expresses "I am a human," only this one thought can protect us from many, many difficulties in this world. I am human. Generally, we say if someone does something cruel, we say, "Oh God, he is not a human." It is not a human act. Act as a human. Sometimes animals are much better than humans act. Restless days in the wars in this world will immediately stop if we all become aware, "I am a human." All are my brothers and sisters, including the other creatures. That’s called God consciousness. That’s called God’s love. I am a human. Try tomorrow. When you wake up, your day will be very peaceful, very nice, and beautiful. What makes me human? What makes us human? Quality. The human quality. And in quality, no compromise. So, what are the qualities of humans? Love, kindness, understanding, forgiveness, helpfulness, mercy, and being a helper. These are the human qualities. Third question: how to activate or awaken these qualities so that I can realize and fulfill my human dharma, my duty, my obligation. This takes only one minute when you wake up. It will make you very happy. Yes, then we get up and go to the bathroom, and we open the water tap. Can you imagine? The first time we touch the water? How nice a feeling! Did we ever say, "God, thank you?" This water element, thank you. And we open our window, and fresh air comes. Do we ever say, "Thank you, God"? God gave everything for free. He said, "I gave you happiness free." And still, if you are not happy, it’s not my mistake. No one can give us happiness because happiness is given by God. But we can distribute our happiness, or express our happiness, and share it with others. Freedom. God gave us freedom. We have freedom to think. We have freedom to give what we want to give. Contentment. Santoṣa. Santoshī Narasadha Sukhī—who have contentment in the heart, are ever, ever happy. And God gave us compassion. How many good things we have, and still we say, "I am poor. I am unhappy." O human, do not learn to complain. Don’t complain. Learn. You know more about Christianity here. Did Jesus say it? Really? If someone gives you a slap on one cheek, turn the other cheek. Did you see any Christians here in Czech? If you give the slip, slip on the face, and if it’s a plea, see here too. We stand on the knee, we read the holy book, and we read; only we read. If someone does something, noise behind, he will say, "Psst!" Where is our kindness? So, do we do what God said to do? "Thou shalt not kill." God didn’t say whom you should not kill. Animal or human, killing is killing. But not only the animals, the humans are killing the humans. In no holy book is it written how we can live in peace. Peace begins from our own heart. Gandhījī said, "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way." We should become peace. We shall become that bridge. And do you know what a bridge means? Others will walk on you, and not only that, they will walk. They will drive heavy trucks over you. Therefore, keep your spine strong through yoga, so that the bridge doesn’t break. So we know everything, but the question is whether we utilize it or not. We have it. Use it or lose it. So we have human life. Use it. Finally, enter into the cosmic light. So it is given to us for that kind of work. In the body, different systems, and the most powerful, mighty power is called kuṇḍalinī śakti, the inner talent, inner śakti. Every step is something different. Similarly, in the body, every centimeter, there is a different energy, a different kind of energy or power. So, where are you going? Ahoj! So, yoga, yoga is the path to God. Where is God? You were also flying in an airplane, and I am also flying in an airplane constantly—30,000-40,000 feet in height, about 13-14 kilometers high. And I take my binoculars and look to see if there is a God somewhere. I didn’t see. And if you see, please let me know, where is God? God is so close to us. If there is a distance, we cannot see God. But when there is no distance, whom will you see? So that God is in everyone, in every heart. And so, this kind of science of Kuṇḍalinī Yoga, science of mantra, science of meditation will lead to our Self. And so, in this way, the knowledge of Kuṇḍalinī Yoga, the knowledge of meditation, leads us. Whatever we do, we should do consciously. And we should avoid all kinds of actions which harm or hurt or make others unhappy. That is yoga. Making exercises, doing prānāyāmas, and breath techniques is good for our body. But the real yoga is how am I, not who am I. How am I? What is my behavior to others? How helpful am I to others? How many times did I make people unhappy? How many times did I disturb other creatures? So that’s called a way of living. How to live? So protection is in protection. If you would like to be protected, then you have to protect first. When we drive our car, if you want to have your protection, then protect others also. Do not drive directly in. So protection is in protection. So yoga means the way of life, and it doesn’t matter which religion or no religion. Trust, believe in thyself, that we know what we did, what we do, and what we did not do. In this hall, there are two who know everything: what you think now, what you feel now, and what you did. One is yourself. We cannot hide from ourselves. And there’s a second one here who knows everything more than you. And that’s God. We can’t hide from God. So God knows, and you know. And you and God have a very close relation. So we should be very happy that we are related to God. God has no form, but God is everywhere. God has no eyes, these physical eyes, but He sees everything. So God is in each and every atom. So let God act in us for others. That is the life which will make the Divine happy, and we will do good things for all. Talking is very good, listening is beautiful, but doing, we will overthink. That’s it. So we do challenge, yogīs do challenge: if you practice every day two and a half hours, you will not be a victim of a hospital or a doctor. Except for accidents, we can’t do anything. So, exercise, practice, and control over the tongue means eating. More than 80% of illness is coming because of our wrong way of eating. And this test is only till the vocal cord. After the throat begins, the foot goes down, and you don’t know if it’s bitter, salty, or sweet. Only this small space in the body has made us slaves. So we are the slaves of our taste. This means we are slaves of our senses. So to be a yogī means to live consciously. Be a yogī and think positively, and be aware. So, this we will have in this one week: some practices and the subject of Kuṇḍalinī Yoga, Cakras, and meditation. So, morning will be meditation about Maṇipūra Cakra, and afternoon—noon, before noon, 11 o’clock—will be a lecture, a little on Manipura, because we have already done ten days of Manipura. So let’s come to Anāhata, the heart center. Manipura is so big. It’s an ocean, an endless ocean. And all the precious stones, all the jewels, all diamonds, everything is in the stomach of the ocean. All expensive stones, diamonds, and gems are in this ocean. Mani Padme Hum. There is one mantra. Mani means jewel. Padme means the holy feet of God. Hum means my adoration, bow down. And here, money in Europe and everywhere, now in India, everyone likes money. They make a shortcut, they don’t say "Padme Hum," that is the other side. Money, money,... money. And that is a wrong mantra. Jesus said, when people were dealing with gold, do not believe in this gold, believe in God. This gold is not a god, but in Kali Yuga, money is God. So let’s turn Kali Yuga into Satya Yuga. Repeat the mantra, "Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ," the Buddhist mantra, the lotus feet of Bhagavān Buddha. So, practice, practice, practice. Tons of theory is nothing compared to a gram of practice. Wish you all the best, and good evening. Deep Naya Bhagavān. Deep Naya Bhagavān. Sanātana-dharma.
