Chakras and Fourteen Lokas

The chakras correspond to worlds within the body and consciousness. The seven higher chakras map to higher lokas, beginning with Sahasrāra as Brahmaloka, the absolute reality. Tapaloka, the level of detachment, is in the Ājñā Chakra. Janaloka, the level of sound, is in Viśuddhi. Mahaloka, the level of great saints, is in Anāhata. Maṇipūra is the center, the level of heaven and the meeting point of prāṇa and apāna, where kuṇḍalinī awakening begins. Below are seven lower worlds. We must practice to ascend, overcoming obstacles like desire, anger, and ego. The inner fire of Maṇipūra burns karma without smoke when fueled by faith. What is in the universe is in the body.

"Only this fire, physical fire, this material fire, will not burn all karmas."

"What is in the universe is in the body."

It is difficult to express in words what we are all receiving here. Personally, as a leader of the children’s program, I had the opportunity to see how Viśva Gurujī works with us, not only in the satsaṅgs but also in how he leads us during the times when we are not physically with him. We heard so many wise words and practical instructions that help us know ourselves and the hidden powers in our energetic centers, the chakras. No one is coming forward to speak, not because we wouldn't want to say how many beautiful things we experienced this week, but because it is so hard to express in words the love we feel when we are here. There is an example: we have a real apple in our hand and an apple in a picture. It is hard to explain to a person who has never tasted a real apple and has only seen it in a picture how it really tastes. So, in the name of all of us, we would like to invite those people who are watching just through the webcast to come here and taste it. We thank you for everything, and we are thankful for all we have received. Wow, a flower for me. Thank you, Mahāprabhujī. Dear Gurudeva, we thank you for your support, guidance, and protection for all that we have received and what we are taking with us on the path of our life, and also on the path of our consciousness and development. We all know that this week was beautifully fulfilled, but we also know that without your support and guidance, it would not have been like that. We would like to do something permanent at last, after this seminar. We would like to symbolically give you a small stone, which our Gurudev can put in the wall of the holy building, Omāśram. Thank you for everything. Thank you, Turiyānand. Our Turiyānand is a very long-time practitioner of yoga in his life. He and his wife are both devoted. 75, 76. A good yoga teacher is an example of being a yogī. Both of them. Thank you. That’s very good. Thank you. Praṇām Gurudev, and dear Gurudev brothers and sisters. For me, this is very emotional because I was on the program Kriyā Anuṣṭhāna, so many of you know how it is. Dear Gurudev, dear brothers and sisters, for me this is a very emotional moment because I was at the Kṛiyā Anuṣṭhāna, and those who were there know what it was like. Everyone is thankful for what we are taking from Gurudev. But I want to personally thank Gurudev also for what he is taking from us. Last night, he said that he has a dhūni in his room. So I had some kind of experience yesterday in the program of Kriyānuṣṭhāna, that in 15 minutes I saw all my year, all the problems of the whole year from the last Kriyānuṣṭhāna. But let’s see, my consciousness, of course, is limited, so that was the glimpse of the problems that Gurudev took away from me. So I want to thank Gurudev in my personal name and, for some of us, of course. For all the karma and all the problems that we don’t see and we don’t know. And he is taking it without our awareness and burning his own dhūni in his room. So, thank you, Gurudev, and thank you all for listening. Thank you so much. So there is one purpose of having a dhūni, out of many other powers. So in that dhūni, svāhā. But many are creating more karmas than the dhūnī can manage to burn. Maṇipūra chakra. And about Maṇipūra Chakra, Mahāprabhujī has written a beautiful bhajan. And in that bhajan, some yogīs came and they would like to have a fireplace, which could be called a dhūnī, and Mahāprabhujī said, "Only this fire, physical fire, this material fire, will not burn all karmas." There is another dhūnī that a yogī has to light, and that is symbolically the Maṇipūra Chakra, the fire. And this dhūni, what Mahāprabhujī said: Without wood, my dhuni is burning, and no visible smoke. Smoke is a pollution, and it means that still some karma goes out of fire and comes back to you. So this smoke of ignorance—here, ignorance means having no faith—it becomes again this karma, invisible, and comes back. But it is in such a way that you don’t see. This dhuni, the fire is burning in the water. And in the middle of this dhūni, yogīs are bathing. So, what do we understand? The fire is burning in the water, and we are bathing; we don’t feel anything. This is symbolizing the Iḍā Nāḍī, what we call Gaṅgā and Yamunā. So, this is that water of our energy, emotion in our consciousness. And yogīs are meditating on this solar plexus, where the awakening of the kuṇḍalinī takes place. So this bhajan, which is written, is entirely for the Maṇipūra Chakra. Maṇipūra Chakra is very powerful. And awakening of the Kuṇḍalinī takes place from the Maṇipūra Chakra. There are many tattvas in the Maṇipūra. It is the center where prāṇa and apāna both meet together. And this prāṇa and apāna, they are capable of leading the consciousness of the Kuṇḍalinī awakening through the Suṣumnā Nāḍī. So Kuṇḍalinī is a science, is a wisdom, and the Maṇipūra Chakra, Maṇipūra is the center of our being. It is the first place where we developed our body. Maṇipura Chakra practices to purify, we have many asanas. And these asanas and kriyas, agnisāra kriyā, nauli kriyā, and other mantra kriyā, this all is available for us. Money means the jewel of wisdom. The jewel of prosperity, that’s called Lakṣmī. And we know many principles of yoga. All can be realized through Maṇipūra Chakra. So we were often talking about seven above and seven below worlds, and the center is the Maṇipūra. There are both Lokas, the worlds, balanced, controlled, at the Maṇipūra Chakra. What is often said, the Vedas say, yathā brahmāṇḍe tathā piṇḍe: what is in the universe is in the body. We shall study our body, not anatomy, not the gross body, but what is given to this body. That is very interesting, very important. So, this loka, I look in these chakras in our book, and chakras are beginning from Sahasrāra chakra. Sahasrāra chakra is in our body, in our consciousness. It’s called Brahmaloka. Brahma-loka is the highest, purest, positive loka. Satya-loka, what means Satya-loka? The level of the absolute reality that is in our body. Absolute. And the second, Tapaloka. The tapaloka is… These lokas are combined or compared with the level of our consciousness and our feelings. We have immense knowledge, and we can utilize it. Yoga doesn’t make us dependent. Independent. That’s why the subject of mokṣa is touched by yoga. Blessings. And so, second, it’s called Tapaloka. Tapaloka is the level of the vairāgīs. So when you have Vairāgya, you are in this Tapaloka. Vairāgya means renunciation. Vairāgya means detachment. And we know that most problems are caused by our Vairāgyas not having the Vairāgyas. It is not the ability of enduring loss or gain. Vairagya is that level of consciousness where the Jīvātmā is heading towards Brahmaloka, and there is hardly any object. Maṇipūra Chakra. Yes, the third, Janaloka, and that is in Viśuddhi. In the Ājñā Chakra was the Tapaloka, the Vairāgya. And Jñāna Loka is the level of the sound, the sun of God. It is in Viśuddhi Chakra where we produce the sound. That is making, dividing the vocals. That’s why Viśuddhi Chakra is at the vocal cords. Mahaloka is the level of the great saints. Like all of you, so you know where you are. And that is the heart, Anāhata. Limitless. Most beautiful. So the whole space, which is expanding and contracting, is the broad-minded or narrow-minded. Maṇipūra Chakra is the level of the Devas or Heaven. So heaven is there. Goshtrians used to say it is maintaining our soul, our consciousness, nourishment, both kinds of nourishment. Svādhiṣṭhāna Chakra is very interesting. Space between Earth and Sun, level of the Munis and Siddhas. Constantly, they have to update their mind. Constantly control, and Bhūrloka, the Earth. So these are the higher chakras, higher lokas. So these are the seven chakras, seven lokas. Each loka has different qualities, and we have to go through these eight levels of the chakras. One person is very clever or intelligent, and the second one is liberated. And you know that humans always fight to have something. So if you enter into that loka, immediately, the warriors, or the border protectors, come and protect. So, doing the sādhanā in such a difficult situation, this is what only yogīs can do. So the space between earth and sun, Mahātala and Mūlādhāra, Earth has many, many expressions, many meanings. What kind of soil, what kind of crops, what kind of parents’ behavior, like that will be the children. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Therefore, these ślokas have to be understood according to the cidākāśa, where our awareness is dwelling. That is the kind of situation in that space, time, and days and call. Both call is the past, and vartamāna is the present situation. These are the highest chakras in the body and the lower chakras. Again, atal, they are going now below from these seven chakras. Vital. So it is, Sahasrāra is absolute, but vital is more polluted by the darkness of ignorance. Asatoma Satgamaya, lead us from darkness to the light. The part of the tree, the roots, are going down. Trunk and branches going up, but these chakras, or these roots of the tree, are holding, are the foundation. Both have harm or dangers. The upper part of the tree and the lower part of it. Many plants can’t develop because of medical or commercial values, and people destroy them. That is again in our consciousness, in our greed. Then the vital, the vital, vital chakras, this is again opposite to the vairāgya, attachment, pulling again back. Yes, then the level of this lower chakra, which is the level of other chakras, is called Sons of God and God, not of and God. Sutal and Rasāṭal. Rasāṭal is below the earth. We may call it the underground water. Rasatel. Rasatel. Talatel. Between the level of the earth and again, oil or water, what is an ocean? Mahatal is the ocean, and finally it comes to Patal, and Patal is the deepest and deepest part of this earth, of our earth or our body. So these fourteen worlds, which we always say there are chakras which have lower levels, and these are the seven levels below that they call the world. We may call it the animal world, or animal kingdom, the vegetation kingdom, water, earth. So these are the fourteen worlds: seven above from the Mūlādhāra and seven below from the Mūlādhāra. And we are now in between, so we have to practice to come up. But there are these vāsanās, these obstacles. If it is seven, then there are seven obstacles and seven supporting qualities. Kāma, krodha, lobha, moha, ahaṅkāra, and what are the two more I have forgotten? Īrṣā, īrṣā, and one more, mada. Yes, mada comes to the ahaṁkāras; they are very close, a little different. Czech and Slovakian languages are very similar. But still, there are little differences in the words. Slovak and Croatian languages are very close, but there are some differences. And when officially they are talking, then they talk Slovak. No, sorry, Slovenian, and officially translated into Croatian. Well, 99 words are the same, so there is a little difference. Gold and pure gold. So, like this, we can say, Ahaṁkāra’s mother, mother. Mada and ego are similar. Anyhow, these are the fourteen lokas described according to the yogic science. They are all dwelling within this sun system. Then, as Pali Guruji is writing, it is in the other śāstras, 2100 Lokas or Brahmāṇḍas. Chauda Loka, this is a Loka in this mortal world. And Ikṣo Brahman, the Brahman and Loka are different. Next time, we will have meditation, meditation of the chakras. For the Maṇipūra. But Maṇipūra needs many things. Otherwise, we can’t meditate, and therefore we have organized, which is very important for Maṇipūra to harvest our crops. So, the tractor’s noise means we can’t record nice qualities, but this is for you and for me, for our Maṇipūra Chakra. Still, if you don’t understand what it is, very soon we will finish and you will go to the Tilak. And in our language, as a hint, which is a positive and a negative. But when we say it, he got a big tilak, meaning a big bill. So you go and eat pizza and everything, you will get a tilak. So I wish you a very good tilak. Tomorrow morning we will have Maṇipūra meditation. Maṇipūra, no? Premānenjī? Yes, Maṇipūra chakra, because I have so many meditations. A whole day? So there are so many meditations you call consultations. So you have to consult with thyself. So this morning, what we had was a meditation that was directly connected with Devpurījī. It was very nice. You don’t know, but it was Devpurījī there on Nakita Lab. So Maṇipūra is very interesting. Tomorrow morning will be. And you will also meditate with us. So I wish you all the best, good journey. Today is Friday. Many tourists are coming and going, so take care and drive carefully.
