The roots are lost

Sādhanā requires sustained devotion, not just initial interest, to avoid failure and dilemma. Divine power is eternal and universally present, not confined to one place or time. Ancient myths and traditions reflect living realities, not mere stories. Cultural festivals have sacred origins now often lost. All genuine spiritual paths lead to the same one God, though forms and names differ. Divine energy manifests in nature and human relationships, perceived according to one's connection.

"Therefore, if you chant the Hanuman Chalīsā every morning, be sure your fear will disappear, and be sure your many obstacles will disappear."

"God is energy, God is health, God is purity, God is love, God is compassion, God is father and mother, God is harmony and beauty."

Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān, Śrī Deveśvar Mahādev, Dharma Samrāṭ, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān, Satyasanātandam. Yesterday we were speaking of sādhanā, sādhanā, sādhanā and siddhi. Siddhi comes from sādhanā. Sādhanā needs a sādhaka, and it needs devotion and interest. Many students begin their study; they study for two or three years, then they lose their interest in the subject. There is no more motivation, so it becomes a headache for the student because they have lost their interest. We can say interest, or we can say devotion. Then you will continue studying, but you will feel like a failure, and you will fail. You ask your parents or friends what to do. They will say, "Well, somehow finish at least this study, so you have a paper, a diploma." But for this person who has no interest to study further, that person is not getting a diploma; he will get a different condition, a dilemma. So when you have a dilemma, you can't have a diploma. Therefore, if devotion is gone, everything is gone. There are some students who learn like nothing—three, four, five languages at once—and always get one hundred out of one hundred. The number is 100; they get 100. You have a different system. You have the first one, no? And five is the highest, so when your child gets number five, something is wrong. This is a country-wise difference; it doesn't matter. Similarly, you cannot do sādhanā unless you have love, devotion, interest, motivation, inspiration. Without it, a person will have a lifelong dilemma. Why did it happen? Something has pulled you into another environment, atmosphere, another kind of society. Maybe you had some friend who had no interest in doing the things that you are doing. Therefore, unless you have finished your academic education, do not go to the Ku-saṅga, or do not use any kind of drugs. You should have only the one drug: eat good food. That's it. So if you want to make your life, if you want something out of your life, if you want success in your life, then make your obligations—which you have, profession or study or a company, etc., your business, your family life, your marriage, your husband, wife—have a quality. To your marriage, to the society in which you are, there should be a quality there. And many things are lost. We forgot, we neglected, or no one told us about certain forces in the universe. Immortal is immortal, and mortal is immortal. We live in the mortal world, but in this mortal world, there is a protection of the immortal one. For example, that Amṛta, which was gained from the churning of the ocean in Satya Yuga. But still, we are celebrating those spots where Amṛta was dropping. We don't know where it all was, but we only know some places. The speciality of the nectar, Amṛta, is that it will never die. That is Amṛta. So that time may be from Satyug or many ages. They were the sages, which you may call Incarnations or Holy Saints. So they are here. They are not going into retirement. And we can't say now they are old, now the young generation is here—old people? Send them to the old home. Those great saints? Send them to some old ashram. It's not like that. There is still the power there. If you say Hanumanjī, the Indians, the Hindus... they worship the monkey because you don't know what a monkey is and who was a monkey. You call Hanumanjī a monkey; he was looking like that, but he was a tribe. He had a tribe, and he had the blessings of Bhagavān Rāma. He had the strength, and Hanumanjī was the incarnation of Śiva. Yes. And before that was Viṣṇu. So Viṣṇu was in the service of Śiva, and in the next Yuga, Śiva comes in the service of Viṣṇu. In reality, both are the same. You have two eyes—which eye do you want to destroy? None of them. So it is a balance; it is a power. So Śiva meditates on Viṣṇu, and Viṣṇu meditates on Śiva. How perfect. The husband thinks of his wife, and the wife thinks of her husband. What a perfect friendship. That's it. So when you lose this, then it's gone. Therefore, if you chant the Hanuman Chalīsā every morning, be sure your fear will disappear, and be sure your many obstacles will disappear, and many wishes will come true. Don't think that Hanumanjī is not powerful; he is very powerful. So don't say, "Just a monkey." Imagine in your sleeping room, a monkey comes at two o'clock in the night, and you see a big monkey coming. You will be paralyzed in your bed. If you want to get up, the monkey will say, "Oh, God!" So even like this, a monkey can frighten you, but they will not do. Monkeys will not do. When you are sleeping on the roof or in the garden, monkeys will come. They will walk beside you. Maximum what they can do: they will take your sleeping blanket or the shawl and will open it like this, if you are really sleeping. That's all. Like a mother checks the child. So if you try to check them, then the human will also attack you. So there are many, many divine gods. If you come to the old Greek mythology, which is the European philosophy, it is based on the Greek philosophy. Do you accept those ancient goddesses in different forms? Half fish and half man. That was Matsya avatāra, half fish and half man. In the Austrian garden, what they call the Schönbrunn, there are statues: half lion and half tiger, human, that were Narasiṁha avatāra, and there is also half human and half horse. And then I saw in St. Brun it's called Gloria, and there are the triśūlas. So these old symbols, these mythological pictures, it was reality. So, do you think those goddesses are not living anymore? Oh, don't take it easy. When you go to Greece and you are on some little island, a nice beach and warm weather, many people like to swim in the evening. They don't like that you swim in the sea at night, and you never know where they will appear. So be careful. It's not a joke. Certain places have certain times given for animals, for humans, and for astral beings. Greece is very famous for these things, and you know, Prague is known as a mystic Prague. Still, there are some. Wow, they can make you different forms. Today, one came. A very mystic thing is here in the Ashram. Just came to check and was asking about checking my house and astral form. Said Swāmījī, "Everything is okay now, you will see." Swāmījī is making a joke. It is not a joke. That is still here, bringing positive messages. If there is something negative to remove, so check. Have a very... great spirituality, and slow, yeah, slow, slowly walking, but sure and mighty power. In Slovakia, it's Hanumānjī's power. The Tatra mountain is the embodiment of Hanumānjī. That is the power there. So on this earth, it's not a country-wise thing, but the whole earth. So it is our ancestors from several hundred years or thousand years, centuries, they were protecting. And now they say this is stupid. Through this, we lost the human roots. You see, we lost the human roots. All kinds of festivals have some sense in them, and that is a spiritual sense. But some people who don't believe in God and light, they make out of these festivals a fun. And this is not good. You know, here in Europe, in Austria, I don't know how to call it in Czech, fašank. And before the fasting, it is a festival for the harvest. And farmers, they present their production. How nice. And in your country also, now it's slowly, slowly disappearing. In front of the village or in the middle of the village, you have this one tree called májka. And this is exactly when Holī is, and Holī is from that time when the Nṛsiṁha avatāra was. So ages, and so culture is moving. But the background of this, the origin of this, is holy, but now we change it. And someone said that whichever boy can climb and put this garland or the ring on the tree can wish to dance with any girl who is born to dance there. So you see how you have changed it. So, OK, dancing with a girl is not bad. But she also needs someone to dance, so it's not bad. It can be brother, sister, but I am not talking about this. I am talking about mythological pictures, the traditions, the background, the origin, and this is coming from Vedic culture, very clearly, so many things. What we have in the Bible is mostly from what we call the Purāṇas. The Purāṇas are older than the Upaniṣads, and so many miracles which we read in the Bible are from the Purāṇas. The great ṛṣi called Agastya Ṛṣi, who drank the whole ocean—you saw the Rāmāyaṇa—he drank the whole ocean because the ocean didn't want to give the way to the God Rāma. Then again the Sāgara, the god Sagar, came to the ocean and said to Agastya Ṛṣi, "Please, please give me back my ocean. The whole life is suffering." So these are some kind of stories and symbols. So these were the ṛṣis. You should read every Purāṇa. But unfortunately, translation is not there. Some translation comes, then you will see the same stories which were written at a later date. The Bible, the Quran, all these Rāmāyaṇas are very old, but so what? I want to tell you that it doesn't matter. God's energy incarnates or appears in this part of the world or another part of the world; it is the same. It doesn't get old. But there are some people who are not doing good. The missionary Christian missionaries came to India, and they told the tribal people, "The Hindu gods are retired, they have no more power, but the new god is now Jesus." And then they took the children for camping, what you call the picnic, and the children are in the bus, and the bus stops. It doesn't start. So they said, "Now we have to make a test. The Gaṇeśa is the Gaṇeśa God; he can remove the obstacles." So they said, "Gaṇeśa jī kī jaya," nothing happens. "Kṛṣṇa kī jaya," doesn't start. All goddesses, and they tell the teacher, they disconnect the cables, and then they say, "Jaya kī jaya." He connects the cable and it starts. Yes, this is so old, God has no power. This is happening, and that is how they try to spread Christianity. Christianity is very good, very nice, but it should not be done with tricks. And you know, the tribe people, they are not stupid. They will take money and everything, and they will say, "Okay, we change Christian religion." When they go on, then they bring Gaṇeśa and Durgā and Annapūrṇājī and all that. Therefore, God is only one, only one God, that is Parabrahman, or you can say Holy Father, or you can say Allah. Different names don't mean anything. The problem is the language, and the problem is that I want to have more followers, I want to have power and money, and this is not correct. Therefore, to have faith in every kind of divine energy, it doesn't harm. So read every day Hanuman Chalisa, and you will see what is changing in your life. Read every day Ganesh Arati, and then you will see what is changing, the obstacles going away. Yeah. So, but somebody will say, "OK, I will kill you, call your God." Well, this is something stupid. So, there are many people; one said, "I made three pictures: Jesus, Kṛṣṇa, Buddha, and what is going on?" asking everybody, "We lost these three men, have you seen them? Have you ever seen where they are? Have you seen them?" Say no. Maybe your parents saw it. Because they came to your village, ask the old one. Did you see them? Nobody has seen. Then why do you pray? So how are they using it? Manipulating? So God is energy, God is health, God is purity, God is love, God is compassion, God is father and mother, God is harmony and beauty. So it is said, "O God, beautiful. O God, beautiful. O God, beautiful... O God, O God, beautiful O God. In the mountain, in the forest, in the mountain, in the forest, in the meadows and the flowers, in the meadow and the flowers. Oh God, beautiful. Oh God, beautiful. Oh God, beautiful... In the ocean and the rivers, in the ocean and the rivers, in the lakes and the ponds, oh God, beautiful. Oh God, beautiful... In the animals and the birds. In the animals and the birds. In the goddess, in the human, in the sky and the earth. O God, everywhere, O God, O God, everywhere, O God, beautiful, O God, beautiful, O God,... beautiful." And everyone sees God according to their feelings. One says, "It is my great-grandchild." And others say, "This grand-grandmother is my daughter." Oh, she is my grandmother. That's my mother. That's my wife. Is my sister. And my daughter. In reality, is this only one? Only one lady. So, how you see, how we are related? That's reality. Therefore, believe what you believe. Yes, on your belief you can create the mountains, and through your love of belief you can melt the stones. Therefore, we should not say only this, and the rest is nothing. So India is the mother of so many religions, and that's why all goddesses are incarnating there. All divine incarnates are there, and all sadgurus are incarnating there. And they can only survive there; outside is finished. Therefore, it is said in one nice bhajan, which tomorrow we will sing, it is too late already. Dr. Shanti likes to sing very much, Dr. Śāntirāda Śiva. Something like this, no? This is a bhajan from Lāl Purījī or Śiv Ānandjī? I thought bhajan of... Brahman Ānand Jī. Of Brahman Ānand Jī. So, Morgan, by then, Kof, Aintag, Muslim, Hals, Bishkan. In the nakṣatras, the nakṣatras, the ofalasana. Yes, my dear, all the best. Om Shanti. O God, everywhere. O God, beautiful. O God, everywhere, O God, beautiful. Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān. Saratandar. Oṁ Śānti.
