Trikal Darshi - influenced by principles

The vision of past, present, and future is mastered through purification and inner discipline. The present moment is the only time given. Mastery requires balancing nourishment for body and mind, which includes diet, environment, company, behavior, and thought. One must then purify the three obstacles: impurities, disturbances, and the curtain of ignorance. Following this, the inner faculties of mind, intellect, consciousness, and ego must be controlled. Ego destroys all good. Mastering these principles allows karma to be dissolved. Harmony in relationships is essential for health and spiritual progress, as hidden conflicts cause suffering. Karma is reduced through alert, kind, and conscious action, leading the soul toward universal consciousness.

"God has given us the presence. The presence—what we get, the day, minutes, hours—all of this is a blessing."

"Be alert, be aware, be conscious, be nice, be kind, be merciful. That is it. So the karma will become less and less."

Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa, Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, Śrīman Nārāyaṇa... Śrīman, Śrīman... Lakṣmī Nārāyaṇa, Lakṣmī Nārāyaṇa, Dīpa Nārāyaṇa, Dīpa Nārāṇa, Bhagavān, Devīśvara Mahādeva. This morning we spoke about Trikāla Dṛṣṭi, the vision through the three times: past, present, and future. We know what has happened and what is still happening from the past, what is happening in the present, and what will be in the future. But those who have known these abilities do not know how it was in the past or how it will be in the future. They know only one thing: the present. So whatever is given to us is the middle time, the presence. God has given us the presence. The presence—what we get, the day, minutes, hours—all of this is a blessing of God. There are only two days in life: one was yesterday, and the second is today. No one has seen tomorrow, and no one will see tomorrow, because tomorrow will always be tomorrow, and the present will always be present. The last was the past. But through the human brain, through human consciousness and awareness, a human can do something unbelievable. We now live in a world of technology. Some don't like it; of course, there is both good and bad. Pollution is created, but at the same time, something good is created. An aeroplane makes pollution, but when it is needed urgently, it brings us to Delhi in six or seven hours. If we walk or go by horse, it takes a long time. So it has both aspects, like our daily vision through this telecast. But at the same time, we need energy, etc. The yogīs, those who have trikāl dṛṣṭi—tri means three, kāl means time, past, present, and future—they can see. For that, there are many, many principles and rules: āhār, vihār, and vicār. Āhār means nourishment. There are many different kinds of nourishment: solid, liquid, the environment. The environment is also nourishment; the society with whom we are sitting, company, is also nourishment. Talking is nourishment, not talking is nourishment. Movement is nourishment, and no movement is also nourishment. It means what does good to our body, good to our mind, good for our thinking. We have to balance these different kinds of nourishment. Mostly people talk about vegetarianism. In old times, people were also non-vegetarian, but 90%, 99% were vegetarian. From the First World War and the period of the Second World War, people all over the world became very poor. Every family has its dignity, its status. No one wants to say that they are poor and have nothing to eat. They were working very hard, a whole day working for one or two kilos of potatoes in the field. In Austria, Germany, everywhere in Europe, they worked very hard and brought their country to a high level again within two or three decades through work. It was told to me that during the World War, soldiers from the Russian or American side would go to eat in restaurants. They ate meat and such, and when they went out, poor people ran in and got whatever remained on the plate or on the table. So the rumour came: only rich people can have meat. Rich people can have this kind of dinner or lunch, and so people began to kill animals and get meat. Thus meat became a kind of status of richness, but it went the wrong way. Now they are torturing and slaughtering many, many animals, and we are also getting many, many illnesses. Spirituality is a nourishment, and non-spirituality is also nourishment. Spirituality is sāttvic, good nourishment, and non-spirituality is of low quality. Nourishment is that which nourishes us. According to that, we work, we produce, we bring something. Second is our inner discipline. So, āhār, vihār—where we go, where we spend time—āchār and vichār. What kind of behaviour do we have, and what kind of thoughts do we have? These are the four principles: āhāra, vihāra, ācāra, vicāra. This makes a human alert, aware, and very comfortable. After that come the three principles we spoke of this morning: mala, vikṣepa, and āvaraṇa. Mala is impurity, vikṣepa is disturbances, āvaraṇa is a curtain of ignorance. These three we have to master; they should become transparent and very clear. Impurity can be physical, mental, emotional, social, etc. These are all different kinds of impurities. If you work honestly, it is purity. If you do not work honestly, then you have impurities. There is inner purity and outer purity. We now have a big problem called the environment, pollution. We have polluted our whole planet, the whole earth. How far? The soul, and after the soul is ātmā, that is called immortal, immortality. But now plastic has also become immortal. We cannot destroy plastic. Even if it is burnt, it remains in the air. Jise śāstra kāṭe, na agni jalāve, bujhāve na pāni, na mṛtyu mitāve. But that is man-made and God-made. God-made is our ātmā, our consciousness, etc. Man-made is the pollution, the plastics. So God-made is a perfect world, and man-made is an imperfect world. Impurity has been going with us for many, many lives as a spot on our consciousness. For many, many lives we wash in our mind, but still there are some spots we cannot remove. It will take a long, long time. Every word, every thought, every vision, whatever we do, and every desire is imprinted on our level of consciousness. In human life, through spirituality, through practicing and doing good things, we can remove those spots, so-called karmic, śikṣal, destiny, luck, good luck, bad luck. Animals, rather all creatures, do not have the ability to purify their karmas. They only do according to what they have in their nature, and they have to suffer for a certain period of time, then they go again. But we should support the animals. They support us also. Many, many animals can save our life. They are very loyal, many. The birds, if you give a little seed in feeders, every morning they will come to your window and sing a nice song for you. "Good morning, get up, it’s time for work." You get up to make coffee, and the birds sing loudly. Animals make us happy. Your cat makes you happy, your dog makes you happy, a mouse makes you happy, ants make you happy, the flies make you happy. Animals think differently than humans. There were many moths in the kitchen. The moths were in the kitchen, and they had babies inside. The mother of these babies went shopping and said, "Children, don’t go out. Stay inside because the humans are very bad people. They can kill you." The children said, "Okay, Mommy." The mother came home and gave things. One day, one child was very naughty and said, "Mother always said people are not good people. I want to see how they are not good." So when the mother went out shopping, one moth baby came out and flew over the dining table where people were sitting. The mother came, and the baby quickly went back into the nest and said to the mother, "Mother, it’s not correct what you told." The mother said, "Why, what?" The baby said, "You said people are bad, and they are not bad." The mother asked, "How do you know?" The baby replied, "Because I was flying over, and everybody was doing like this. Everybody was happy doing like this." So we do not know. But animals are very innocent, very innocent, loving creatures. Impurity—whatever, if we touch someone, we get their energy. Therefore, in the Asian world, even now, people greet you like this [with folded hands]. The Western world uses a handshake. But also in the hospital, in operation theaters, they do not shake hands. The doctor holds like this, and a nurse comes and puts a cloth over, because of infections. You do not know when someone shakes hands, and you shake hands. You do not know where his or her hand was before, where it was touching, and that comes to your hands, and that goes on your eyes, and that goes on your nose. And then it comes here, you know. And then you sit here, and then you do like this. It is very interesting if you see one person sitting, and the hands, how quickly they are going somewhere all the time. When you shake hands, these bacteria come to you. So, by touching someone’s body, we take some energy bacteria away. Now it has become a sign of respect, shaking hands. In some countries, there is also a hug, and some will kiss you. I taught this morning, no? Just three months ago, I was in Mexico City. I arrived at the airport, and many bhaktas came. There were about 30-40 bhaktas who came, and as soon as I came out, my suitcase was there, and I said hello. You cannot imagine, they just attacked. They do not speak English, and I do not speak Spanish. I said, "No, no, wait, wait, yes, yes, here, here..." After five or six times, I closed my eyes and I stood like this. So tradition is a tradition. We should not make anyone unhappy. But reality is like that, impurities. So whatever you do with another person, your body sucks that energy, those impurities. And vikṣepa, disturbances: family problems, work problems, environmental problems, weather problems, illnesses, many, many. This is also the problem which we have, vikṣepa. And āvaraṇa is ignorance, a curtain. When we put up a curtain, we do not see. So these three have to be purified and opened, become transparent, and become very clear and pure. After that comes another principle, and that is called antaḥkaraṇa, the inner functions. That antaḥkaraṇa is manaḥ, buddhi, citta, and ahaṅkāra: mind, intellect, consciousness, and ego. It is not easy to control and purify the mind, buddhi, and intellect. Our inner space, what we have all in our inner space, and ahaṅkāra, ego—ego destroys everything. Whatever good we do, when ego appears, then everything disappears. So it is not easy to become holy, to become a trikāla-darśī. When you master these things, then you are above, then your karma is deleting. At that time, the master or holy saint, it does not matter he or she—when you have mastered these principles, then the karma from disciples comes. You know what happens? When I come in, everybody gets up, and all are looking to me, coming to me, because of love. But they have some kind of attraction, expectation, so that they try to touch, try to come close. Now, all this karma comes to me. In this room, all of you are sitting, you are giving me good karma. I am very happy, you know, so many chocolates, so many fruits, so many cakes, so many apples, everything, my God. You give me so much, and I have to consume. It does not matter, take an injection. Is it a diabetes problem? No. So karma, our karma takes our parents, our karma takes our master, our karma takes our very, very real friend, close, your husband or your wife. Husband and wife should have a balance between them. Otherwise, if the husband is dominating, then the wife will die earlier. And if the wife is dominating—the husband has a high-level officer in the office. So everybody says, "Sir, good morning, good morning, good Scott, good Scott," and has the auto-fare and so on and so forth. And when he comes home, the sofa moves, and the wife says, "No, Freddy, please do not wear this muscular outfit in his office." His office. Nobody is there to tell him, "Please, can you clean, empty the garbage bin?" So, mentally, psychologically, for a person who is whole day on a higher position and comes home with a cold sock, it goes down. Because for her, he is not a sir, so that is undone. Often I speak with many people, you know, some ambassadors are like this. And when you go to the home of the ambassador, she is the ambassador. Really, really, there are some persons, I do not want to tell who is who, but she tells, it is her nature, she says, "Do not talk always; keep your mouth shut. I will talk." And can you tell some ambassador like this? So that is not good. So then, a husband will die quickly. She is alone. So mutual understanding between husband and wife brings long life, happy life. And, of course, the husband does not expect that his wife will salute when he comes. And she also will not expect that when my husband comes, he will say, "Hello, ma’am, how are you?" What do you call them? Madam. So these two kinds of life we live, that is very difficult to manage. The whole day we have different kinds of life at home. Similarly, the people from Slovenia and Austria, the children who come from there, here, and they study and live with the family here, so they have a different culture, though it is just a border difference. But for the children, they live in two cultures. It is very hard for children to maintain. Okay, Slovenia, Austria is not a far distance, but the distance is like Indian children who come to Austria. So their religion is different, their festival is different, their language is different. Disturbed. So this is to maintain. It is an art. This is a science. Wonderful things, but difficult things. So managing harmony between all this is very, very, very important for spiritual development and for our health. Maybe you do not like to tell your husband what disturbs you, but you are suffering because of that certain problem, and that can develop into a cancer. It must not be, but the experts, scientists, said cancer can also be the cause of certain hidden problems between two. So husband adores. Husband adores. Did I say doors or adores? Husband worships his wife, and wife adores husband. In local language we say, "Both hands clean together." So the husband takes the sorrows, the karmas of the wife over, and solves them. And the wife takes the karma and distributes the vikṣepas from the husband and tries to make him relax, and everything will be okay. So is that how we exchange the karma? That is a happy life. So, who cannot make a mistake? Everyone makes mistakes. Even heaven has a little hole, yeah. And that is why the clever bhaktas go like a little wasp around heaven, and when they see the hole, they are inside. And some find the door back. So, even heaven has a hole. Why not we? So mistakes happen, and mistakes are corrected. So karma, the karma comes, and so long as we have not mastered these things, the karma will give more and more load. We will go more down, more down, more down. And when you already have an air mattress, you sit on it, your friend can sit on it, a second can sit on it, and it will remain up all the time, up and up, up and up. So, after a certain spiritual level, the karma is automatically deleted. In this room, there is darkness. And we ask darkness, please, can you go out, because we are all here now. Darkness does not listen. We say, "Please, can you go in the street, darkness?" No, no. As soon as we put on light, darkness is so quickly gone, we do not know where it has gone. Similarly, the darkness of ignorance, the darkness of desires, the darkness of dependency, the darkness of habits, etc., that puts us in the darkness of the karmic, and that will go with us in every life. So, my karma, your karma, everyone’s karma, the Master takes. Baprabhujī is responsible, so the whole day, whatever karma I get from you, I bring in the heavy rucksack. And Bāprabhujī is here. So, Gurudev is doing something. Who is that otherwise? Who is doing? Therefore, there is one bhajan, a beautiful bhajan, a very good bhajan. So always, when we come home, we give all the load to God. Definitely, there is a God. And everyone has a different relation to God. Some believe in the form, and some believe in nirguṇa, in without form. Some feel God as energy, and some worship God as an individual God. But God is only one God. So where you trust, where you believe, where you worship, that is your God. There you can pray, definitely. Our heaviness will get less. All the weight will fall down, and it will dissolve. Like the sun rises and darkness goes, so, mālavikṣepa āvaraṇa. Then comes manas, buddhi, citta, ahaṁkāra. Likewise, we purify the past, present, and future. Then comes the other, and that is called the karma. How to solve the karma? Karma is not easy, not easy. One king, he was an emperor, and he became a sadhu, a swami, and he was going to pray. All the devas, goddesses, and then he thinks, but they are also not free. Somehow every god has some kind of obligation. They are not free. Then he said, "Why should I not pray to God himself?" So he wanted to go to pray to God. And then again he said, "But God also has some duties, and after he is finished, God has duties." So God is not free. God has karmic, all God’s incarnations, if we see. What was the life of Jesus? What was the life of Kṛṣṇa? Buddha, etc. So, they are all bound to karma, but they are stony. Then that king said, "Why should I not pray to the karma? I surrender to the karma." So, what does it mean? When we do good karma, we do not create bad karma; we do not say someone is stupid. When you say someone is stupid, you have one more chain bound. So, why should we not pray to karma? It means: be alert, be aware, be conscious, be nice, be kind, be merciful. That is it. So the karma will become less and less and less. Then our consciousness will come out more and more. So there is a God, that God, the universal God, has no name. No form, no ears, no nose, no eyes, but he can hear, he can smell, he can see, but we do not see him. That God, the universal one, that is consciousness, and in that consciousness develops a jīvātmā, an individual soul. And that soul connects to the consciousness. But between soul and consciousness, there is awareness. When awareness is there, then the soul is proceeding; otherwise, consciousness is endless space, there is nothing. When awareness is there, then the soul has got one cover, and from the awareness, that soul begins to do something, and there is coming intellect, buddhi. So buddhi begins active, but before buddhi becomes active, the alertness, awareness, that has to be. So the awareness is observing the intellect, but intellect has these different qualities inside. Develop one, what we spoke before, the ego: "I know better than you, I know, I set up, I study this, that." So there is sometimes a problem with husband and wife, this problem. So my father used to say, "The best parents should never argue and shout at each other. When the children are at home, when your children are gone to school, then you can put your wife here and husband, but children should not feel that my parents have a dispute or this and that. Otherwise, children, it will go printed in their consciousness. Lifelong, they will have a problem. So please do anything, but at least do not do this thing. You should have a good life at home, harmonious. It is your problem, your husband’s problem, or your wife’s problem, but why do you put the problem on the children? Let them grow happily. It will be automatic. The whole world will come to the peace, awareness, and self-awareness, intellect. Then comes the karma. Then, between this awareness and intellect, and the buddhi is intellect, consciousness, the space. Then comes the emotion. And emotion is the master, directly guiding the mind. So the mind is not responsible, but it is always creating this. After that come the senses, and after the senses, again, there is another complication. So, my dear, the drop begins from the ocean, Para, goes up, becomes clouds, and then again the atmosphere changes, becomes a drop, and one drop falls and goes to the ocean or somewhere else. There is a cycle of the individual soul in the universe, but it becomes individual because of karma. Good luck or bad luck. Then, after the senses, a completeness comes. Then you see the world. Now, what you will do and what you will not do, senses are desires. Good desires, bad desires. So it is a gesture of draṣṭi versus sṛṣṭi. What kind of vision you have, how you look, how you want to see the world, it will appear like that. And it will appear like that, like that you will be. In Austria, there is one newspaper called, what was this newspaper? I do not want to make any advertising, otherwise they will say, "No advertising." A nice newspaper, and what was the morning? I said, "Not probably standard," you know, the standard newspaper. Yeah, so long ago, it is about 28 years when some... this was advertising. Man, at least, but we, man, East one is reading how one is, yeah, which... What kind of newspaper are you reading? That kind is your British? So it is good to learn from anywhere. Good. That is it. So what you see, like that you are. So when you open your eyes, where you see, when you look to me, how do you think? Yes? I am sure everybody is not thinking the same. Many people, they do not accept what I am telling. Many say, "This Indian, he does not have any knowledge; he is from the radio." In Germany, there is one lake called Kimchee, yeah, Lake See. And long ago, it was nineteen eighty, and seventy-nine, no, eighty, eighty-one. I got one car, a very famous car now. Every television is showing that car because he is very famous, and so it was a Combi Volkswagen. And so I was going somewhere in Germany alone. I was alone. And in the little village, there was no navigator like this. So, I wanted to ask someone for an address. So I parked my car there near the shop. And I was waiting if someone was coming, I wanted to ask for the address. And there came two ladies. One was, I think, about 75. And one was about 60 or 80 something, no? Good? So one lady said, because they do not know if I speak German or not—and really, God should forgive me; it should not be bad karma. They are not here anymore, so please, you are my lectures, what you call, example. So one lady said, "Glaube, es ist ein Inder." The other one said, "Vielleicht ist er eine Sekte." I am sitting there. I am standing there, and then he said, "Er hat sogar ein Auto. Hier ist ein Auto, sogar." And the other elder one said, "Aber ich frage mich, woher hat er dieses Auto?" And then I answer. She said, "Woher? Hier ist ein Auto." So then I thought I should answer them something. So I said loudly, "Er gestohlen." Then the youngest one said, "Pass auf, FST dodge." So, how can we create karma? Just by dṛṣṭi versus vṛṣṭi. So, how you see or you look to someone, immediately you know what this person wants to ask you, some question or something. So indriyas, indriyas means senses. So there is one beautiful bhajan. I do not have it here with me, but this bhajan is called, "Tu man indriyam kā rājā, ye terī hai prajā, mat kar iskī gulāmī, rājā antaryāmī, tu man indriyam kā rājā." You are king of your mind and senses. You are man indriyam kā rājā, ye tumhārī prajā. They are only your people, your public. You are a king. So, tu kaya nagar ka raja: kaya means body, nagar means the city. You are the king of the city of your body. Man, indriya terī prajā, senses in your mind are your slaves. Mat karo iskī gulāmī, do not be the slave of that. O Rājā Antaryāmī, O inner self, you are the God of all this. So the bhajans, there is a beautiful teaching inside. So, what we call, we begin and we lose what we began, what we were talking about. And we were beginning how to get those siddhis, perfection of the trikāla-darśī, and how to achieve those higher levels of consciousness. And that only can be if we follow our own discipline. Getting support, advice, and teachings from the masters, but you have to do it. You have to follow all the disciplines, so tomorrow we will continue. Today we let them rest in peace, these two ladies in heaven. That is it. So everyone does not think the same thing, that is it. But then they will think over, think over,... and they will find something. Now we put the subject at one point. So tomorrow we will come to worship, why we put light on, why this, why that, and what it gives. What we create comes to us. So what is a pūjā, worship? This is an interesting subject, and through that we do get immense energy, power, blessings, protections, et cetera, et cetera. So, 9:30 will be the webcast until 11:00. 9:30 to 10:30, one and a half hours. A lot of my throat will say, "9:30 we begin." We will see. This is the turbo engine stuff. So many are driving a far distance. Drive carefully. And come home, good. Much love, and see you tomorrow. Adió.
