Republic Day of India

Learn to smile from the flower.

These students performed beautifully, embodying devotion to the nation. We desire no silk, palaces, or thrones. Our sole request is to always be born in Hindustān. The standing Himalaya instructs us to remain firm, unmoved by storms, preserving our vital energy. Culture is inherited from parents, not lineages; they must impart knowledge of dharma and patriotism. True culture respects humanity, daughters, cows, sages, and the elements. From culture come impressions, and from those impressions, peace for family, society, and nation becomes possible. The greatest devotion is devotion to one's country.

"Just one small request... always let us be born in dear Hindustān."

"Culture is inherited from our parents. In the lap of mother and father, one receives culture; it is not found in lineages."

Learn to smile from the flower. Learn to smile from the flower. These little girls are like flowers. This young girl, with great courage, has beautifully presented Bhārat Mātā’s "Jaya Jaya". Look at how wonderfully these students have performed. Nothing else is needed. We do not want silk, we do not want an embrace, we do not want a palace or an attic, we do not want Indrāsana. We do not want silk garments, we do not want ornaments, we do not want a dirty attic, we do not want Indrāsana. Just one small request, Bhagavān, keep this in Your mind: always let us be born in dear Hindustān. With these beautiful feelings, these students and the young girl have performed wonderfully. You all deserve a big round of applause. This young girl has presented her performance in a very beautiful manner. Bābājī’s blessings are always with them—Gurudev, Seras Jī, Rajprohit Jī, Jitendar Jī, and Garg Sāhab. With very meaningful effort, these girls have been prepared—loud applause for these Gurujans. This is a small program of the Pyramid. Now, students, you all should be aware that we are all the beloved children of India, and we feel very proud that the place where we are acquiring education is a vast universal women’s gurukula, whose inspirer is Sant Śrī... This too was truly natural. The standing Himalaya is telling you not to be swayed even by half the water. The standing Himalaya is telling you not to be swayed even by half the water. Stand firm now, move forward; in all the storms and crises, do not lose your prāṇa, and you can attain everything. Mahārāj’s salutations to the Magadha Nareśa Cakravartī Samrāṭ Dhanānanda in the assembly of the country. The Ācārya Brahmacārī from Takṣaśilā is being welcomed in the assembly of the Magadha Nareśa. Mahārāj, may you be victorious ahead. Hail to the beginning of Kośala, coming from Takṣaśilā. Ācārya Sakṣāt Sākṣāt came forward, Mahārāj Karṇī Vaiśya Janapada Takṣaśilā. The Ācārya of Takṣaśilā’s gurukula, Ācārya Baṛhnā Jī, who offered his salutations, was also brought up in the gurukula of Takṣaśilā. Who is the greatest enemy? Who is the ṣaṭpuruṣa? The one who steps forward for the welfare of others is the true noble soul. Among the qualities of the female, such as shyness and modesty, who is the greatest hero? The hero of giving—the one who gives away everything is the hero of charity. And the one who takes away is the meditator. Dharma, the essence of dharma and its meaning, is kingdom; the kingdom is the senses; and the essence of the senses is renunciation. You all are busy on the net; after this, our Bāvdhī will be awakened, and our principal sir will address you. All the students here in our Gurukula, our Gurujans, our preachers, mothers, sisters, and all the brothers, I will not call you residents of the ashram, as the ashram is closed, so you are our most beloved brothers, devotees of Gurudev, you are welcome. The day is significant for India and for all Indians, whether in India or abroad, because today is a day of great importance for our nation. We are celebrating this as Independence Day. India has never taken anything from any country by force, nor has India ever... Whenever enemies try to invade countries, we have to respond back. Our India is a great country where... We should honor the Indian culture. We should honor the Indian culture. We should embrace the Indian culture. Our culture is the culture of God. And the culture of the second and fifth worlds is the culture of animals. The culture of animals is such that eating, drinking, and indulging in pleasures is like that of animals. In our culture, there is respect for man and honor; there is respect for daughters and respect for men; there is respect for cows, Brāhmaṇas, sādhus, and saints. And just as we respect the elements like earth, water, air, fire, and so on, we consider them divine because without them our life cannot sustain. That is our culture, and culture is inherited from our parents. In the lap of mother and father, one receives culture; it is not found in lineages. Therefore, it is the parents who must impart to their children the knowledge of their country’s culture, the knowledge of our dharma, and the knowledge of our patriotism. The greatest devotion is devotion to the country. Our nation... Devotion is what we seek for the nation itself; for the village, we seek Rāma. If the village is truly a village, then its protection and development must take place. Only then will spirituality flourish here, devotion to Bhagavān will increase, and the undivided India that we honor will be safeguarded. From saṃskṛti arise saṃskāras, and from saṃskāras, the peace of family, society, nation, and the world becomes possible; without this, peace does not exist today. Now, some of ours are still... this is not for that, the question is about those who are still here, so we have to maintain some, and it is possible.
