God is Endless

The infinite radiance of Śiva pervades all universes, endless and beyond imagination. Our limited being is fundamentally one with this limitless Śiva consciousness, present in every atom of creation. The individual soul is like a drop destined to merge with the ocean of Śiva. This realization frees one from the cycles of birth and death governed by cosmic law. Various energies, physical and subtle, affect the body and mind, just as poison affects one person but not another. Only Śiva, or the Guru who embodies that principle, can consume such poison and bestow the purifying nectar of grace. This divine blessing, the Guru's caraṇāmṛta, cleanses all accumulated energies and karma. Through sādhanā and surrender at this holy place, one can consign all karma to the sacred fire of transformation, allowing it to be utterly burned away.

"The difference between the ocean and this drop is a hand. This drop will fall into the ocean. The jīvā becomes Śiva."

"But hope is that walking stick from the cradle to the grave."

Filming locations: Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India

Ujjain, at the holy feet of Mahākāleśvara, on the occasion of the Kumbha Melā, this divine radiance is spreading, especially from Mahākāleśvara, throughout the whole world. And not only on this earth, but on every planet; and not only every planet, but every solar system and all the stars. That is too little still—it is Anant, Anant... endless, endless, endless. Hari Ananta, Ananta Hari Kathā. The glory of God is endless. God itself is endless. And beyond that still, the greatest of the greatest, that is Śiva. Svayaṁho Śiva, the embodiment of Śiva, is the entire universe. Now, we sometimes divide the universe within our solar system, and then after some others, but the Śiva consciousness, the Śiva energy, which we say Satyaṁ Śivaṁ Sundaram, that is in the whole universe, meaning the endless, endless. When it is beyond our imagination, we are limited ones, and that is limitless. How should we know about the limitless? We are still limited in knowledge. But don’t worry. Our connection, our relation, our energy, our existence, our being is in the whole universe, one with Śiva. We can say, on the whole of our form, that the drop of the water, this drop of the water, this is the Jīva. This jīva is under our hand, and it is the ocean. The difference between the ocean and this drop is a hand. This drop will fall into the ocean. The jīvā becomes Śiva. That time, this consciousness merges into and raises Śiva. And therefore, there is only the one who has a right and who is known as Mahādev. There are many, many different goddesses; of course, there are also great, and great, and great. But the greatest of the greatest is Śiva. And that Śiva, Śiva principle, Śiva energy, Śiva consciousness, the Śiva ātmā is in each and every atom of our body and in each and every atom of every tree, the vegetation, even in each and every head of the grass, the blade of the grass. Nothing is without Śiva. So, our meditation, our path, and it is that Śiva where there is a law, there is a protocol, the cosmic protocol which we know is coming and going. We will die, we will be born, we will die, until we achieve our realization that yes, I am that one. That time we will say: "Main Mera Nijaap Hoon Tattva Masi Nirmoye, Karta Hoon Main Vandanaat Meri Muchko Hoe." That time we are free from that karma. We are free from that energy, that energy which is dwelling in a body, too. That energy affects and influences each and every cell of the body, each and every glance of the body, each and every indriya of the body, each and every vṛtti of the mind—citta vṛtti nirodha, aha, that energy is everywhere. When there is cancer and the doctor says, "Now this cancer has spread throughout the whole body, there is nothing to be operated on," though we know and we could do something, we can’t. We know it in our body, but we cannot do anything. We are helpless. Similarly, there are different kinds of energies in our body: physical, emotional, and others. Tana, mana, bachana, and dhana—through the body, through the words, through the mind, and through our position, the power. Whatever you eat, there goes energy inside. Suddenly, some kind of grain, the food, comes into your body, which poisons your whole body. What we call food poisoning. Everyone eats the same food, but why does one get diarrhea? Why does one get vomiting? Why does one become ill, and why not others? Because that particular part of that food entered the body, and that person does not have the resistance or the power to digest it. It is only the Almighty, Svayambhū, Mahādeva, Śiva, who could drink the poison. And there is one more who could drink the poison, but that was because, in the name of order, Śiva. It means the Guru. And who was that? "Mīrāṁ Paggaguṅgarubandamīra Nāchire, Paggaguṅgarubandamīra Nāchire." She drank that poison. Her father-in-law sent one bowl of poison, full of the bowl, in the garden bowl and said, "Go and give it to me now." This is the Caraṇa Amṛta of your Gurudev. Gurudev Caraṇa Amṛta. There are many different kinds of Jñāna Amṛta, Caraṇa Amṛta. Different kinds of Amṛta. That is Amṛta, Gurudev. But best of all is Gurudev’s caraṇāmṛta. Therefore, it is said... But what did Gurujī say? Satsaṅg is a spiritual lecture about yoga in the Indian tradition. So that is, that can purify those negative energies which are stuck in our body. It doesn’t matter which kind of energy that is. Therefore, Gurudev said that I need that kind of nectar, amṛta, that kind of caraṇāmṛta, jñānamṛta. So, it is said, pray to the Gurudev to give that nectar. And that is said: "Prem kā pyālā hari kab merā bhar, prem kā pyālā hari, prem kā pyālā hari kab se, prem kā pyālā adhnā bhikārī hamā khaḍe khaḍe tarse, adhnā bhikārīyā, khaḍe khaḍe tarase, prem kā pyālā." That kind of praying, the love—nowadays love is misunderstood, so it’s not good to use the word love. Forget it. Don’t use the word love, okay? There is very much misunderstanding, a lot of misunderstanding. So that is prema. Prema is different. So that nectar of blessing, that blessing is love, that is kindness, humbleness, mercy. If we get that kind of nectar, caraṇāmṛta, then our body is purified. Then all the energies from many, many lives and from this life can be cleaned out completely. That is called kāya kalpa. That is Kāya Kalpa, and that is Guru Akṣaya, Guru Kṛpā, or Guru Caraṇāmṛta. Otherwise, okay, we survive, we do, we hope, we hope one day it will come. But hope is that walking stick from the cradle to the grave. It will be, it will be. Don’t worry, don’t worry. Yes, don’t worry, finally we will bury you. That is the birth. That’s it. Therefore, sādhanā, and remember all that happened to you in your life. What you ate, what you drank, what you have done, what happened to you. All of these are put together in one part and tried to be placed in the river of the Siprā, where Mahākāleśvara is here. It will be burned. Therefore, day after tomorrow, in the evening, we will go to the bank of the river Siprā and have the āratī. We all will make a pūjā. With that āratī, with that pūjā, I tell you, let all your karma go. Don’t look back. Don’t get it. No, but please, can I burn? I’ll take it back. That is not possible. You have to put everything, all in that, and it will go. And not in the darkness, in the light. So that it doesn’t stick to someone else. This is an infection. Therefore, śravaṇa here in this holy ground, holy soil of the Ujjain Nagarī and Mahākāleśvara, can you imagine that Śiva here manifested. At camp, he destroyed the car. "Car" means death. That car said, "No one can fight against me. I am the winner. No one can do anything against me." So Śivjī said, "Who are you?" He said, "I am a car." Then Śivjī said, "If you are a Kār, then I am Mahākār." And he burned him into ashes. So wherever you dig here, you find the ash. Around the temple, they give, even now, but everyone cannot do it, and one should not do it. There are certain people who can go and take their vibhūti and bring steps. It was in Satyuga time, but how many things burned? Not only that one rākṣasa, but that car, and many other things. Therefore, we ask Śivjī always, please keep the third eye closed. Please don’t look with the third eye open. But on the day when the third eye will open, Gurudev, then everything will... What is in the front, good or bad, everything will burn. For the fire, it doesn’t matter if it is your money, your valuable documents, a newspaper, or grass. Fire doesn’t make any differences. It will burn everything to ashes. And that was that vibhūti. You got it all. And I will again get for you some vibhūti. So you will get all these vibhūtis from that time. Namah Śivāya! Oṁ Namah Śivāya! Mahākāleśvara Bhagavān Kī, Pūjya Nagarī Kī, Siprā Nadī Kī, Devpurīśvara Mahādeva Kī, Alakhpurīśvara Mahādeva Kī, Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī, Mādhava Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān Kī, Mahāt Pitā Gurudeva Kī, Kapila Bhagavān Kī, Ādi Guru Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya Kī, Śrī Śrī... Take everybody, okay? So who wants to have tea? 5:30 to 6:10 to 6, and then have a prayer. It is already sunrise. Thank you. And we are very thankful and very obliged to our Mahāmaṇḍaleśvarjī. He is opposite to us. He has attained. And because of our half-hour, one-hour program, they put off their mic. So we are very thankful, and we request Mahāmaṇḍaleśvarjī and the bhaktas to now continue the program. Thank you very, very much. Om Namo Nārāyaṇa. Om Namo Nārāyaṇa.... Om Śānti.
