Practicing the second version of Khatu Pranam

The time has come to demonstrate the value of yoga in daily life. Yoga is now a world-renowned system. Decades of work have moved its definition beyond spectacle to a practical science for body, mind, and consciousness. The system must be preserved and propagated correctly, avoiding acrobatic or commercial distortions. The goal is to train serious teachers who uphold this holistic knowledge. Harmony within nature and among practitioners reflects yoga's true purpose.

"Yoga has now become well known to the world."

"Our system is a system, a scientific system—from kindergarten to university."

The time has come to show what we have learned through yoga in our life and to demonstrate the value of yoga in our life. At this time, if you saw the program where the Prime Minister of India, respected Modijī, was practicing yoga with everyone in Chandigarh, the capital city of Haryana and Punjab... On the channel called Lok Sabha, they invited me to give commentary about Modijī and what he spoke. You can see that almost all—ninety-nine percent—of the exercises were from our Yoga in Daily Life book. There were one or two exercises which were not exactly correct, and I made a correction. That was about the rotation of the neck and twisting of the neck while standing. That is not good because one can become dizzy, one can fade down. So, well, a little minor correction. Yoga has now become well known to the world. In 1970, when I came to Europe, people were thinking about yoga as what you call the fakir—walking on the fire, sitting on the needle bed, and hanging from the tree. That was the definition of yoga for people. For the last 40 years, we have been working tirelessly throughout Europe and in other countries, like America, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, etc. We brought awareness to the people, with practical demonstration and the proper way of yoga as a system. Millions of people have benefited from yoga in their lives in the last 45 years. How many came, how many went, how many are teaching and still teaching, and how many were taught? So Yoga in Daily Life became a system. We shall continue to carry on. We have to train more of our youth as yoga teachers. We keep to our system, which is good for the physical body, for the mind, for awareness, and for social benefit—to create the harmony of body, mind, and soul. This time, there was a subject about yoga on World Yoga Day: "Yoga for body and beyond." So, we have taken one step forward. The last time, it was only yoga for the body and health, but now it has gone beyond that. When we think of the beyond, what does it mean? The beyond is limitless. And so we come to the mind, we come to the intellect, we come to the consciousness, we come to the soul, and we come to the ātmā, and beyond, and that is the Brahman. So, this was already taught by Yoga in Daily Life. All our Yoga students here know the answer about body, about mind, about emotion, about intellect, about consciousness, etc. We have to have more good teachers. So, more and more teachers. The good thing is, till now, our yoga teachers and our people are not teaching commercially. Many, many people in the world begin with yoga, and they are doing yoga. Some of them were giving only some philosophical lectures. Since Modijī introduced the āsanas and prāṇāyāmas also, and because Modijī brought this into the government, now those people, those guys who were moving here and there and giving only some lectures, they also began to teach yoga. And there is more commercial activity, and when they perform the āsanas, you can laugh. Certain postures, when they are doing it, it’s scary. So when one sees those postures, it looks nice, but it is life dangerous for all. Our system is a system, a scientific system—from kindergarten to university, and from the beginning of learning medical science until completing your medical courses and becoming a surgeon. So, this is something. What you have in your hands is a great thing, and you can give further, and we will give further. This is great. So, all our duty is to multiply. Our seeds are not only once. Like we spoke yesterday about the manipulation of the seeds—it grows only once. Then you have to buy the seeds again. But in Yoga in Daily Life, we should not come to the point that only one teacher developed it and no more. We have to educate our children to know the value of life. What does health mean? Health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health. And so we have to carry on, and many are jealous—how nicely we are organized, and how great are our practitioners, and how much they have harmony, love, and friendship for each other. That’s great. So it’s a very big union, or a very big gathering of yogīs from east to west, west to north, and north to south, around the globe: Yoga in Daily Life. You know, someone has, how do you call it, stolen our system. They are not doing what we are doing, but they use the name "yoga in their life." And they are saying that one of the biggest or strongest groups becomes a member, and it is only through Facebook. So, okay, they can do. Everybody can have the name of Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī, Alakhpurījī, Holī Gurujī, Bhaktānandjī, and Kṛṣṇānandjī, and from everybody, if they repeat their name, they will get liberation. Our Bhaktānandjī will not refuse to give blessings to anyone. Yes, all of you have a blessing. I taught you how to give a blessing. Because for the blessing, there should be some mantra, and you have that mantra. So our teachers should become very serious and create more teachers. This is very important. We are not going to the acrobatic yoga. We are not going to the competitions, and we are not giving a challenge. But we are giving yoga knowledge, yoga science. Yoga is one of the oldest sciences. Everything came out of yoga. Also, when you are studying and training your brain, that is yoga: meditation, relaxation, concentration, and āsanas and the nourishment. So, welcome, and we will learn more. Now, let’s go to the second part of the Kaṭhūpraṇām. Who is the one who will come in front to demonstrate? Who knows the second part? Yes, that one, come to the front, please. So, everybody lie down on your stomach and support your chin in your hands, with your palms and elbows standing. You will see the demonstrator who knows the second part of the Kaṭhupraṇām. He will demonstrate first. You stay there in this position. Three, count. Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, thirteen, sorry twelve, sorry twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, and twenty-seven. Now, your choice, okay, your chance. Of course, you can constantly look towards the translator. You can come up so many people can see you. So sit straight. Sit up straight. Sit in Vajrāsana. Hands on the thighs. Please open the windows. Thank you. Leave your eyes open. Observe this beautiful nature. It is one of the best, perfect yogic exercises, and practicing yoga in such an atmosphere and in nature. Sit straight. Hands on the sides, and look to the sky. It is a billion-leaf sky, you know, yes, beautiful nature. Five times deep inhale and exhale, yes, there is fresh air, clean air, and here there is no pollution. There is no pollution, without any pollution. There is no sound pollution. There is no physical pollution. And no mental pollution. It is spiritual, transparent purity. Kaṭhū Praṇām. Kaṭhū is the holy hill, the holy mountain in Rajasthan, district Nāgaur. Kaṭhū is in Nāgaur. Kaṭhū is a very spiritual village; there are all different religious people there. Hindus, Muslims, and all live in harmony, because our beloved Grand Master, Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī, who resides there, and Śrī Devpurījī, Śrī Śrī... of that spirituality which is flowing through the whole of holy India, known by the name of the Alaknandā River. So, Alakhpurījī. So we have this name of the Kaṭhupraṇām, the salutation to that holy hill which all religions adore and respect. So, now, feel your body, each and every limb of the body. Relax each and every limb of the body, yes. Relax your muscles, yes. Keep your joints relaxed, yes. The breath... How nice, beautiful the new leaves of the spring are. Now the summer begins. Mother Nature is offering us so many things: many fruits, many berries. What more do you want? What do you want to go to heaven for? It is like a heaven, not like, but it is. In heaven, there are only holy saints and goddesses. Don’t you think that you are not that holy saint? Who is not a holy saint? Raise your hand up. Yes, so that is that. If you raise your hand up, it means you said, "I am." That’s it. So now feel the breath. Yes, feel your spine. And feel thy breath, and feel the cakras and kuṇḍalinī. Yes, this is circulating this energy through the cakras. Yes, Kaṭhupraṇām. Kaṭhupraṇām number two. We had one, and this is the second. So now, follow the demonstrator. And the number will be counted by our sister Hemavatī. Hari Om. So let’s go slowly. Remain at least half a minute in that posture so that everyone can make corrections. Why not one minute? Yeah, it will be better. So, everyone who is looking with their website, they will also have a chance to practice. Today is Saturday, and 99% of people have the time. Around the world, you are manifesting like a Svayambhū everywhere in the world. Next round, concentrate and feel your breath. Let it be breath going natural, normal, but feel your breath. And what do you feel changes with every position? And which part of the body your breath goes there? And which part of the body your breath goes, there, so again, one. Lie down and relax. Relax your body and feel each and every limb of the body. Feel the muscles and joints, remember the movements during the Kaṭhupraṇām, and relax. Which part of the body were you feeling a little tension? Which part of the body were you feeling a little tension? Try to relax that part of the body more. At the same time, feel this beautiful atmosphere in the nature. Hear the beautiful sound of the air, the wind blowing. You hear the different sounds from the leaves of the trees, different kinds of tree leaves. It’s a beautiful harmony, it’s harmonizing. Relax, relax. Feel the ascending and descending breath. And now, deep inhale and exhale three times. Slightly move your body left and right. Stretch your body. Stretch your hands and interlock the fingers above the head. And slowly sit up. Now, do prāṇāyāma. Prāṇāyāma is the expansion. Praṇaya mudrā, close your right nostril, Candra Bhedana, just inhale and exhale through the left nostril, slightly deeper than normal breath. Feel the breath, feel the beautiful atmosphere, and the nature. Once, take a deep inhale and exhale, and then place your hands on your knees. Normal breath. Normal breathing. Again, two, three times, deep inhale and exhale. And place your right hand fingers at the center of your brows. And close your left nostril with the ring finger. And inhale through the right nostril, a little deeper than a normal breath. Feel the breath in the whole diaphragm. Feel the respiratory. Breath is life, and life is breath. Feel the very beautiful atmosphere, the very pleasant temperature, the very clean air, and the beautiful sound of the wind through the branches of the trees and the leaves. Thank you. Now, place your hand on your knee. Take three deep inhales and exhales. And feel your body, this parent tree. Feel relaxed and very calm. Just enjoy this beautiful, beautiful nature. Permissatat. Deep inhale and exhale. Deep inhale and exhale. Nāhaṁ kartā prabhuḥ kartā, Mahāprabhujī kartā he kevalam. Śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ. Rub your palms. Place the hands on the body, on the face. Massage your eyelids. Open your eyes and bend forward. Touch your forehead to the ground. Touch your forehead to the ground. Feel the circulation towards the head. Feel the circulation towards the head, and slowly come up. Stretch your legs. Hands on the thighs. Paścimottānāsana. Hands up. And hold the toes, and up. And hold the toes, and up. Legs apart, and hold your toes. Head down, and up. Hands down on the thighs. Hands up, and bend forward. Touch your forehead to the ground and hold your toes, and come up. Hands down on the thighs, half butterfly. You see so much pesticide in the field, there are no butterflies. So you have to replace the butterflies here. And hands on the knees, touch the ground, and touch your forehead, or touch your forehead, nose to your toes, and come up, relax. So, this session is over.
