There is prana in every creature

We continue our deep study of prāṇa, the vital force. Modern yoga is often reduced to mere postures and quick certifications, but true yoga is the ancient science of harmonizing body, mind, and soul. Our training aims to create masters, not just teachers. You learn the detailed science of nāḍīs, prāṇāyāma, and the effects of practice on all layers of being. This knowledge comes from the guru lineage, not just intellect. Prāṇa is the singular energy manifesting in all creation—in strength, in healing, and in will. It can be cultivated and directed. This understanding forms the core of authentic yoga teaching.

All dear ones, we will speak further about prāṇa, as we did yesterday. We will continue this subject in Strelka, Czech Republic, not as a repetition but as a deepening. You should learn and watch Swāmījī TV. Nowadays, people merely make postures, do a little relaxation, close their eyes, and sit. They think this is yoga, and that is their practice. In 10 or 20 days, they give you a yoga teacher certificate. If we take yoga as the ancient science—and yoga is for the body, mind, and soul, the harmony of body, mind, and soul; the health: physical, mental, social, and spiritual—then we have to learn much more than just some postures and how to practice. You are not becoming merely a teacher through our teachings of Yoga in Daily Life; you are going to be the master, what you call the guru, the yoga guru. You are gaining this knowledge and these abilities for yourself, as well as for others. Yoga teacher training is not just practicing āsanas, learning how to do and how not to do them. Our teachers correct your morning āsanas. But the teacher training seminar we have here is what I am talking about. It is a teaching, a seminar. You will never fail anywhere. You can teach and make discussions even with Sanskrit professors. In front of you, they will fail because they have only Sanskrit language and intellect. And we know what kind of intellect they have. Now they are calling Āyurveda 5,000 years old. What a stupid thing. Like this, they make many mistakes because they have not learned from the guru, from the Satguru: Brahmā, Niṣṭhā, Rātriyā, Guru. Now, if people think that if they teach like this, nobody will practice, that is not true. The world is looking for peace, harmony, spirituality, and liberation. People are becoming more and more religious because people know the last seven decades were a horrible time, and people moved only more towards materialism, and that is not the aim of yoga. Can you imagine, in these 13 or 14 days, what you have heard about prāṇa? Only one subject, but still not finished. This is your teacher training. Otherwise, we would just have a little meditation, āsanas, and bhajan singing, and that's all—which you have had from me for many, many years. But we are coming to the reality, the explanation of prāṇa and prāṇāyāma physically. What one doctor told you yesterday, but no one understood in detail: the prāṇa of the Vajranāḍī is the prāṇa of the Suṣumnā, Iḍā, and Piṅgalā, and it supports the Suṣumnā. Iḍā and Piṅgalanāḍī is the Vajranāḍī. No one explains this because they have no particular experience, and if they have, they cannot explain it to you. As I told you, do you know the taste of ghee? You eat it every day, but you don't know how it tastes. You know the taste; it is very pleasant, very good, very healthy, but you cannot explain it. So, though you have the practical experience of eating ghee—ghee is melted butter—you can explain butter a little: a bit sour with a little milk taste still. But when you get pure ghee out of the butter, the best part, and eat it, you cannot explain that taste. Similarly, when you make spiritual experiences, you cannot explain them. You can explain the postures, but what is happening in the whole body? Many cannot explain the effect of a posture on the body, on the emotion, on the senses, on the feelings, on the awareness, on the intellect, on social life, etc., and then, to the highest, on consciousness. There was a question from someone, and this is the answer. It is 7 a.m. The person read, "Lord, something morning." Sorry, "Beloved Master, 7 a.m." Sorry for those who would like to be a yoga teacher and come for this week. As far as was announced on the web, the yoga teacher course was also there, but it was not only the normal program and Kriyā Anuṣṭhān. So, if they cannot go to Strelka because of money and so on, and more classes, they have lost one year of their yoga teacher program. It is possible to correct this situation for them in some way, and that is what I solve. Your problem in this way. A yoga class is not a gym where you go, put a coin in a machine, and run there. It is for the individual; for everyone, it is yoga. And you learn with the master. Therefore, consider how much you learned in the last 13 days, or in one week, about yoga and consciousness, awareness, the nāḍīs, the prāṇas, etc., and different prāṇāyāmas. You learn which prāṇāyāma is the wrong way and which is the right way. We had the subject of prāṇa and how the prāṇa was flowing through the ujjāyī prāṇāyāma, and why Jālandhara Bandha? And why explain the breath? We explained exhaling through the mouth. So, for two whole weeks, it was practical instruction for you. You should know what you have learned. If we put an examination tomorrow morning or this evening for all you teachers—what the Master told you—and I give you 35 questions only from this week, and you have to answer them, are you now a teacher, or are you not a teacher? You are an aspirant, but you have no concentration. So Yoga in Daily Life, and our masters, that is divine, real yoga. Of course, we do not deny the āsanas and prāṇāyāma in a normal way. And about chakras, you know, this is a teacher training book. Our prāṇāyāma and our āsanas book is a teacher for you. It is exactly written: the name of the posture or āsana, what is the general posture, how to begin, how to breathe, how to exhale, how to relax, and what is the benefit. Who should do and who should not do, what is a precaution, what to be careful about, and what is harmful—everything is written on the one page for that posture. That book you must have all the time in your hands. That our yoga book is our holy bible, our Yoga in Daily Life book. And it is a holy preaching through the chakras. This is our holy chapter. That's called the Gospel of the Master. And for God-consciousness and for Master spirituality, our holy book is our Lilāmṛt. Every bhajan, everything, it is like an ocean; you cannot empty the ocean. So the problem is that you don't learn. You think only learning āsana is yoga. That is not what we think a teacher is. So, regarding prāṇa and how it moves through the body, you can look in other yoga literature. It says in the body there are 72,000 nāḍīs. And there are many, many other nāḍīs; they have names. When we learn about this science of the nāḍīs, it may take us three or four years to understand the 72,000 nāḍīs. That's only one chapter of yoga. After that, the process of the skin on our whole body. Of course, some doctors may know about this, but in the spiritual way, what is the skin? So each and every organ and each part of the body has many different meanings. That is the science of body, mind, and consciousness. And the main thing in this is prāṇa. Though we have spoken for many days, you still cannot give a definition of what prāṇa is because every day we learn more that is new. Today we say it is a buffalo, and tomorrow you will say it is an elephant. So there are many different things every day. Finally, from all together, it is Prāṇa. And prāṇa is in every creature. You know the strength of the elephant? You know the strength of other very big animals? You know the strength of the cobra, or other pythons and so on? The tiger snake. Did you hear about the tiger snake? Who did not hear? I see, thank you. Of course, because you have not seen one. And thanks to God, we don't have this here. But mostly, the tiger snake is in Mexican countries and in Australia. It's a big snake, and it attacks you. When it bites, they say, just make yourself comfortable. Or sit in Padmāsana, with your mālā, and lean against a tree. Oh, great yogī, samādhi. Also, there is a spider, and when that spider bites, you have 15 minutes. So there are many creatures whose poison is very dangerous for humans. In India, I don't know how many hundreds—400 snakes they have. But out of them, few are poisonous. One is, of course, the cobra. So all are not so poisonous, but it does not mean that now you say, "All are not poisonous," and go and touch them. Do not touch. They feel us to be untouchable people, untouchability. So we should not touch them. Similarly, in every creature, there is prāṇa. One elephant: how many people can hold him so that he will not do anything? And when many people still hold him, if he just moves once like that, all will run away. That's called strength. That is strength. You know that Rāvaṇa, the king in Sri Lanka, was so powerful and strong he could hold ten horses or ten elephants. Ten elephants could not pull him away. He had ten heads. He offered his own head to Śiva. He cut his head and gave it to Śiva. Again, a head grew. Again, he cut and gave it to Śiva. So Śiva asked him, "How many heads will you offer?" He said, "Śiva, as many as you like, until you give me the blessing that I will be mortal and I will be strong." So Śiva had to do it, but there are always "buts." There is something reserved in prāṇāyāma, energy. And that will be the cause of death. So the prāṇāyāma, the elephant... And all the time, what we used to say, "How many horsepower is in the car?" Five horsepower, six horsepower, ten horsepower. Now they don't count horsepower; now they count what? Kilowatts. So that is prāṇa. And now, there is prāṇa in vegetation. There are herbs that can save our life, and there is another herb that can kill us. Both are called prāṇa: the good mushroom and the poisonous mushroom. So prāṇa is one, but what kind of quality is inside? A human is one, but which human has what kind of energy? Knowledge, humbleness, or stupid, or dangerous. Whatever you call them, so a human is a human. But what makes them a terrorist? Because of the manipulation of their way of thinking. And so your prāṇa is colored by that teaching. Water is very neutral, very pure, very good. Water is colorless. In one bucket of water, we take a little water and put in black color, green color, yellow color, etc. Now, water is water. But what color came in? And so, what is in the color? That also we don't know. And therefore, this prāṇa is manipulated. But it has prāṇa; it is prāṇa. So we cannot trust every kind of prāṇa. And the prāṇa is not guilty. Did you ever have the experience that you bite your tongue? Yes, you did not bite purposely, but still it was painful. It was your own prāṇa; that own prāṇa joined your own teeth, and your own teeth bit your tongue. So everything is ours, but we use it consciously or unconsciously. So, try to take prāṇa training with your hands. Rub your hands and then feel the energy. Do this for one year whenever you have a little part-time: make a fist and hold a tree or a stick or something, or iron, and every day hold the stick and squeeze more and more. For some years, you may be able to squeeze a thick iron rod; it's just like an ice cream, you know. So, that is training. But that... Prāṇa is that which enables people to break stone with the hand. They hit on your wrist, the lower arm, and beat something on it, but they have this strength inside. That is prāṇa. And some kind of prāṇa, which is very useful for us, is very interesting. I think I should teach you that prāṇa. In some dangerous situation, you just expand your prāṇa. The other one will automatically go away. Even an elephant will not come near. You send your prāṇa. That's also prāṇa. This is wind, no? It's better now? Not better? And now, maybe somebody else might. Might not. So, it is said that many, many people have willpower. If you want to do something, then you should have time. Don't give up your hope. And for some time, you should endure suffering. Many people are ill and say, "No, I don't want an injection. I don't want an antibiotic. I don't want this medicine. I will use naturopathy." And they will cure that disease using some bark of a tree, or the leaves of trees, or the roots of some dry bush, or only earth. That's called naturopathy. And there is good treatment. Drink neem tea, so it will cure the disease. So, if we take allopathic medicine, it will take seven days to cure, and if we take homeopathic or other naturopathy, then it will heal in one week. Yes, this is our experience. As a capacity, I think only that sometimes in allopathic medicine, you feel a little pain, but we realize that allopathic harms our organs more and does not have a good effect on prāṇa. So, there are many people who have strong willpower and are really very healthy. When they have a high fever and some kind of flu, they do one thing: only drink warm, pure water and not eat anything. Then the body itself, that immunity, will heal or kill all the germs in the body. But we should have willpower, so don't eat for two to three days. Drink only hot water without anything. But if you want something in the water, then a little salt. It will be like a miracle; the body will heal itself. That immunity will heal or kill all the negative germs in the body. So, we should not give up quickly. We should not lose our nerves. Wait. Wait a little bit; you will become healthy. So, prāṇa. With prāṇa you can heal many diseases. You know, often some people come from Russia doing prāṇa healing. More, they come to Czechoslovakia and Hungary, and there, Poland, because they are friends of the Russians. And the Russians also have many natural signs and miracles. So prāṇa is willpower. And now, someone is lonely. When you come home, you have a cup, the teacup and plate are still on the table. You left in a hurry and didn't clean, and in the evening you come, that cup is there, so you have to wash the cup. So sometimes people are lonely, but in some way they are happy. It lays a burden. So that is homework which you are doing at home. And other social work is in your office. Think over in which way you can understand and use your prāṇa. That's all for today. So this is your training, yoga teacher training for Yoga in Daily Life. These two weeks, nearly, on prāṇa. But with prāṇa, we learn many things: āsanas and many other things. Okay, clear? Do you have any questions? Well, I am happy that you are very alert, conscious, and you learn everything. There is no question. But Hungarians always check five times before marriage. Hungarians overthink things eleven times: "Should I marry or not?" In the beginning, they are very happy to have a friend or a couple, but then reality comes to marry. Then they think eleven times. And in such a way that they just disappear. That woman is waiting and waiting. Our man is waiting and waiting. But that's good. It is said, trust is a good Hungarian. But control is better. So, eleven times thinking over means controlling, looking everywhere. That's it. Q&A Session Question: As you mentioned, when we rub our palms together, then it's possible to feel something like there is a ball between the two palms. How is it happening exactly? What is the process? What is the thing which we feel between the two palms that you should tell me about? I feel, after rubbing my palms together, I put them about 20 centimeters apart, and then I have the feeling that there is a ball between my two palms, a soft ball. Answer: So you know everything, why do you ask me? So it's good to have a ball between, but don't go far in a different way, so that you don't have atoms in hand. This is a slow, slow trend, and put it on your hand where you have pain. So it's your own energy, and the feedback means healing yourself and others. Today's seven or eight? Seven, seven. Oh, okay. Question: Any more questions, please? Could you be so kind and show us the technique for protection with prāṇa, when you have time? Answer: Come to the seminar in Strelka, or keep on listening to lectures. You know why butterflies have such big wings? In reality, it's a little worm, and on the wings of butterflies, mostly some kind of pattern which is like the eyes of animals. And when they are sucking the nectar, the wings are moving—not that they are happy now they have the honey, but they are frightening the enemies, so the bird won't come near. Similarly, you should expand the wings of your prāṇa, and there are many other ways to demonstrate your energy so that one automatically runs away. That technique you will know. But there, one technique is your two eyes. Your two eyes can do so many demonstrations. One is that you show your eyes, and the person goes away. That's prāṇa. Similarly, we have to learn. So much prāṇa comes out of our body through your eyes. If still that person doesn't go, then you do like this. If not this, then you turn your chair this direction to come out of your chair, then we will go away. There are many, many techniques. Many mental techniques, without any physical demonstration that you cannot see. It is said, love cannot be hidden. Kasturī kī bas Prem chupāyā na chupāy. Love you cannot hide. Prem kare prakāś. Love makes the light. Like what? Dhabī dhubī rehene nahī. Doesn't matter how much you hide in your hand, kasturī—what you call the musk from the deer's navel—even if you put it in your treasurer, the smell will come. So, prem chupāyā na chupāy, prem karey prakāś, dhabī dhubī rehene kasturī kī bas. So when you spread the energy without showing your eyes or this and that, it will disappear. As fearful you are, then other energy will take over. In Canada, there are many big bears, grizzly bears, very dangerous. Now, how to protect through your energy? That energy is to stand in front of that and raise your hands up, making yourself big. Or, take your shirt or jacket out and make yourself big, stand in Tāḍāsana. The bear will run away. So you have to make yourself bigger than the other one. That's the only chance to survive. But when he comes near and you dare to stand also like this, then the bear thinks, "Hug you." So at that time, you have to send your prāṇa. We will do that's all. And in the evening, we will have... you can put... in the evening, we will have questions and answers. So please write down your questions. In the evening, there will be questions and answers, so please write down your questions. In the evening, there will be questions and answers, so please write down your questions.
