World peace tour, Vancouver, CA (3/7)

A guided meditation on the Maṇipūra Chakra begins with systematic physical relaxation. Awareness is brought sequentially to each body part to release tension. Focus then shifts to the natural breath, visualizing cosmic energy as white light entering at the navel center during inhalation and toxins leaving during exhalation. This center is the source of the body's development and the seat of life's flame. The practice involves synchronizing a mantra with the breath to cultivate energy and balance. Gentle, controlled movements and twists are incorporated to stimulate and harmonize this energy center, preparing the system for deeper awareness. The process aims to purify energy and unify body and mind.

"At the time of the inhalation, cosmic energy is flowing into your body like a white light through the whole body, centered at the Maṇipūra Chakra."

"This meditation of the Maṇipūra Chakra will give you immense energy, which will purify all the energies."

Sit comfortably, facing upward, with your legs slightly apart. Make yourself very comfortable. Take one deep inhale and exhale, and slowly close your eyes and relax. Become aware of your being here in this hall, and of how you came to be here. Withdraw yourself from the external world and just be aware of your presence in this hall, where you feel comfortable, very relaxed, very safe, and where you feel the divine atmosphere or the presence of the divine. Once more, take a deep inhale and exhale, and say mentally to yourself, "Relax, relax..." My friend, just relax for the time being. Let me be one with myself. Your body is comfortable. Your body is relaxed. In order to relax more consciously, feel your right toes, foot sole, and ankle joint. They are relaxing. Calf, calf muscles, knee, kneecap, and below the knee. Feel relaxing. The right thigh, right hip, right side muscles, and your right arm: shoulder, upper arm, elbow, lower arm, wrist, palm, and fingers. The whole right part of the body is perfectly relaxed. Now bring your awareness to the left side of the body. In the same way, feel the toes, foot sole, heel, the ankle joint, calf muscles, knee, kneecap, below the knee, left thigh, the hip joint, left side muscles, shoulder, upper arm, elbow, lower arm, wrist, palm, and fingers of the left hand. The whole right and left part of the body are relaxed. Feel and relax your back muscles and neck muscles. Feel and relax your head, skin, and jaw. Relax. Relax your tongue. Feel and relax your face muscles, your lips, eyelids gently closed. Feel your chest muscles and stomach muscles. The whole body, from the toes to the top of the head. From the top of the head to the toes. The whole day passed. You were working differently, mentally and physically. But now it’s time to relax. This meditation belongs to the Maṇipūra Chakra. Now become aware of the breath. Just know that you are inhaling, and know that you are exhaling. At the time of the inhalation, cosmic energy is flowing into your body like a white light through the whole body, centered at the Maṇipūra Chakra. At the time of the exhalation, all kinds of toxins are exhaled. A beautiful feeling of lightness appears in the body. The center point is the navel. It’s like a light point; light is radiating, coming in and out with the cosmic "I know." I know that I am inhaling, and I know that I am exhaling. I feel very comfortable. I feel very relaxed. I am one with myself. Imagine, just imagine the center point of your body from where the physical body began to develop, each part connected to your mother’s body—the navel, the Maṇipūra Cakra. At the time of the inhalation, your stomach is slightly expanding, and at the time of the exhalation, it is slightly contracted. This expansion and contraction takes place from the navel, which creates in the body a pleasant warmness and light of life, the flame of life, the consciousness of life, the energy center of your life. It manipulates the chakra. Let your breath flow very naturally. Do not change the breath rhythm. Do not create any tension, physical or mental. Just be relaxed. I know I inhale cosmic energy, and I know I exhale all kinds of used energy. At the same time, I radiate divine love to all creatures. Imagine a beautiful circle, your whole body as a beautiful circle. When you inhale, light is entering your body from every direction and is concentrated at the navel, the main center, where prāṇa and apāna unite together: Maṇipū. This cycle, or this circle, is like a balloon, completely round, and in the middle is a bright point, and you are fluttering. You are fluttering in the middle of the water, not above, not below, but you are in the middle, surrounded by water, the water element, Akṣaya. Akṣayajala, the water of immortality. The center of your body is the center of the entire universe. That center is your navel, the Maṇipūra Chakra. Feel the warmness while expanding and contracting the trunk of the body, especially the stomach. You feel a deep, deep contact with thyself. And you feel the love for the Divine Mother. Kuṇḍalinī, Divine Mother Kuṇḍalinī, in this center point. Sometimes you see it like a dawn rising—a dark night, a dark winter night, on the far horizon, suddenly a beautiful orange light, and suddenly you see a big orange sun rising, full of fire flames. That is your Maṇipūra. Do not miss the breath. Each outgoing and incoming breath should be known to you. I feel pleasant. I feel relaxed. I am one with the universe. At the time of the inhalation, mentally repeat the first half of your mantra. At the time of the exhalation, repeat the second half. For example, while inhaling, mentally repeat Oṁ Prabhūdīpa Nirañjana. And while exhaling, Sabadukha Bhañjana. The Aum is the original sound, or the resonance of the universe, and the seat of the sound is the navel. That produces or manifests the flame, light, deep, which removes the darkness. Sabhadukkha, which will remove all the troubles. Sabhadukkha Bhañjana. This meditation of the Maṇipūra Chakra. You feel the expansion and contraction of the stomach. Your Maṇipūra Chakra is very balanced. Keep on repeating your mantra. Suppose you do not have a mantra, then just listen to the sound of the breath going in and out. The sound of the breath inhalation is "so," and the outgoing is "hum." So I am that, that I am beautiful light, beautiful flame. That’s called Jīvanjyoti, the flame of life, Maṇipūra Chakra. Do not let go of your breath, even a single breath, without knowing. Let this energy penetrate through the whole body and concentrate it at the navel. Yes, you feel comfortable. Yes, you feel very relaxed. Yes, at the time of the inhalation, your body becomes brighter and full of energy, and at the time of the exhalation, your body is relaxing very deep, and you feel a little heaviness in the body because your consciousness is now the energy of the Maṇipūra Chakra. This meditation of the Maṇipūra Chakra will give you immense energy, which will purify all the energies, all the seven different levels, which will create a beautiful, harmonious relation between body and mind. Mind and intellect, you understand the creation, fluttering on the water like an air mattress or like a balloon. Just keep on observing the breath and mantra, "Oṁ Prabhūdīpa Nirañjana," mentally. "Sabadukha Bhañjana." Jīvanjyoti, the flame of life is getting brighter. Sometimes it seems that you are sitting in front of a fireplace, observing the flame. Fire is the source of life. Maṇipūra Cakra. I know I am relaxed. My body is so comfortable. My breath flows so soft, so gently. I feel in my nose when I exhale, it is a little warmer. When I inhale, I feel nice, fresh; my whole body is resonating on this cusp. Do not forget your mantra: Oṁ Prabhūdīpa Nirañjana Sabadukha Bhañjana. Our body is so light, like it is fluttering on the water or in the air. It is that warmness of the Maṇipūra Chakra. Feel the Maṇipūra. Feel the expansion and contraction of the whole body now—not only the stomach, but from the center of the Maṇipūra. At the time of the inhalation, the cosmic energy enters the body. At the time of the exhalation, all kinds of toxins flow out. With this, feel the center of the palms, center of the foot soles, top of the head, and slowly develop physical consciousness of the whole body from outside and inside. Become aware of your being here in this hall, meditating on the Maṇipūra Cakra, the color of your dress, the color of your mat. And slowly inhale deep and exhale slowly, long. Let the whole body expand, your trunk of the body, and become extrovert. Slowly inhale and exhale. Inhale and exhale. Try to move your toes and fingers slowly. Bend your left knee and stretch it out again. Right knee and stretch it out. While inhaling, raise your hands up and stretch your hands above the head. Ground and interlock the fingers. Knees, heels are stretching downward, and the upper part, hands are stretching upward, like you’re tearing your body in two parts from the Maṇipūra. Exhale, and bring your hands near the body again. This time, without interlocking the fingers, and slowly, not quickly. I didn’t say raise the hands up. Develop the energy that you can control your movement. Movement is not difficult, but controlling is something. Very slowly, raise your hands up, palms towards the ground. Slowly, more slowly, inhaling. Stretch the hands above the head. On the ground, stretch the whole body and have a normal breath. Remain there. Try to touch your whole back on the ground. Don’t make a hollow under the back. Don’t make a bridge. Slowly raise your hands up. Bring them, while exhaling, parallel to the body. Beautiful, controlled movements. That means you have very good nerves. You have very good concentration. While inhaling, raise the hands up above the shoulders, and while exhaling, bring the hands on the ground above the head. And while inhaling, raise the hands up again, slowly, and while exhaling, bring the hands down on the ground parallel to the body. Again, stretch your hands above the head on the ground, interlock your fingers when your hands are coming near the ground, and palms facing upward. Now, deep inhale and exhale five times and stretch the body. Maṇipūra has to be turned into many directions. Keep your hands there. And now, beautiful things happen. Something beautiful will happen. Roll your body to the left and to the right side. Very good. In the middle, hands remain above the head. Don’t interlock the fingers. Very good. Now, those who have no problem with the backbone should do this. If someone has pain or a problem with the back, don’t do it. So slowly raise both your legs up together, but don’t raise your buttocks up. Only both legs up. Perfect. Now, interlock the fingers and slowly bring your legs downwards to the ground, only forty centimeters above the ground. Hold your legs there, just there. Don’t go more down, only 40 centimeters. Be comfortable, be relaxed. I have a beautiful story to tell. And bring your legs down. Maṇipūra now knows what’s happening. Bring your hands parallel to the body. Now, palms facing downward to the ground, and slowly raise your hands up from the ground only 40 centimeters, between 40 and 50 centimeters. Legs together, and raise your head and shoulders up, looking at your beautiful toes. Remain there, hands not too far apart; hands should be a little nearer to the body. My dear friends, heels on the ground, heels on the ground. The behind part of your foot is called the heel. And slowly come back on the ground, bring your head and hands down. Stretch your hands sidewards, and please don’t mind your neighbor’s hands if they are touching your hands or something. Please don’t mind, or you can go a little bit far away. There’s a lot of space we have. Place your right heel on the left toes. Bring your right toes to the left side, touching the ground, and turn your head to the right side, looking to the right hand. Your right big toe is touching the ground. Slowly come to the middle and place the right heel on the ground. Then place the left heel on the right toes. Turn your left toes slowly towards the right side on the ground, touching, and turn your head to the left side. Remain there and feel the pressure or the twisting exactly where the Maṇipūra Cakra, the middle point of your body, is. And very slowly come back. I didn’t say to put the left heel down, thank you. And now, put your left heel down. If you do it too quickly, sometimes it can displace your solar plexus, and you get a diarrhea which you can’t stop with any medicine. Again, you have to come to the Master to correct the solar plexus, yes, that’s it. Slowly raise your right leg up and place the right heel on the left toes. Make sure that your body is good, straight, stretched. Hands are parallel to the shoulders, not parallel to body, parallel to shoulder. Thank you, sir. And now, slowly, with very good feeling and concentration, turn your right toes towards the left side on the ground, touching and looking to the right shoulder. Perfect. Normal breath. Now, while inhaling slowly, come to the middle. Right heel remains on the left toes. Have a normal breath, and place your right heel down. Slowly bend your right knee and place the right foot on the ground outside of the left heel, or knee, or the thigh. And with the left hand, try to hold your right knee and bring the knee slowly to the ground on the left side and look to the right. Your right shoulder should not raise up from the ground. Slowly try to bring your right knee on the ground. Normal breath, and while inhaling, come to the middle. Inhale, left hand parallel to the body. Inhale, and bend your left knee and place the left foot outside of the right thigh on the ground. While exhaling, bring your left knee to the right side, and with right hand, support your knee to come to the ground. Look to the left side and have a normal breath. Slowly, while inhaling, come to the middle. Bring your knee up while inhaling, and while exhaling, stretch the knee out slowly, hands parallel to the body, and relax. Interlock your fingers under your head. Bend both knees. Pull your knees towards your body. Your toes are in the air, or your feet are in the air. Slowly, deep inhale. While exhaling, move your knees to the right side on the ground and your head to the left side. While exhaling, remain there relaxed. Try to keep the knees as close as possible to the body. Bring your knees more towards your chest or your stomach. First, inhale. Hold the breath, and now raise your knees up to the middle. Exhale, one after the other. Stretch the knees down straight. Stretch it out. Again, bend your knees. Inhale, and while exhaling, bring your knees to the left. Lie on your side on the ground and look to the right side. Have a normal breath. Try to keep your knees closer to the body. Relax. Inhale first. Hold the breath. Then come to the middle, and while exhaling, stretch your knees out one after the other. Hands parallel to the body, relax. Just relax. And now, slowly turn over to the stomach, the elbows standing, and chin between both hands, and move one knee after the other. Knees more together, not so quickly. Just relax, like you are lying on a meadow. Nice, beautiful, warm weather, and in front of you is something to read, or you are looking at the flowers. Relaxing and moving your leg. If you don’t want to see something, you can close your eyes. This movement will harmonize your digestive system. This will calm down our solar plexus. It will stimulate the Maṇipūra Chakra energy into the whole body. As you like, just relax. Now, slowly move your body, and you can sit up, or you can remain in this posture and relax. We will have 50 who renounced all kinds of the comfort and joy of the world and lived with a handful of rice in the caves under the glaciers, meditating without any dualities, anger, jealousy, hate, competitions, challenges, just to fulfill the aim of human life: to get Self-realization or to become one with Brahman. It’s not that you get Self-realization in one weekend program. It’s not that you get Self-realization in one year. It is not only Self-realization, but it is the transformation of oneself into the highest. Many of you don’t know these names which are written there. What does that mean? So perhaps sometimes we will speak about this. It’s a lot, it’s a lot of material to be spoken. There begins the yoga; from there, yoga manifested, and it is there that one will become one with the highest supra. We practice half an hour or two hours, and the whole day we are lost in something. In the restless days, so-called, the Himalayas speak to you. And so these high mountains were there. Not that spirituality is developing in you, but you are in the spirituality. So, now we have time for some questions. You are most welcome. Yes, what does it mean to be enlightened? Yes. When we were looking at these pictures, the whole was completely dark. You didn’t see who was sitting there. You didn’t see who was sitting there. So similarly, it is called coming out of the ignorance into the light of the wisdom.
