Guru is here for the whole world

The Guru principle is the universal light of knowledge within, not a physical form or cultural possession. All beings have a guide. The true self is the immortal Ātmā, a spotless diamond within the perishable body. Realization of this oneness is the aim of human life. This supreme Brahman is pure bliss and consciousness, beyond all duality and change. Social harmony, like that between brothers and sisters, reflects this spiritual unity. Negative thinking creates bondage, while seeing the one essence in all leads to liberation. The path requires discipline and the Guru's guidance to awaken the dormant truth within.

"Not the body, or one born in Europe, or in China, or Japan, or Mexico, or Africa, or India, or anywhere. Do you know what is the value inside? Ātmā."

"Your ātmā and my ātmā are one. There is no duality."

Pranām, dear Vishwagurujī. I am very happy that I can thank you for taking the time to be with us, to give us a lecture, and to share a little of your knowledge. I also welcome everybody who is here. I think it is special for everybody, for us as well. Even if we have the possibility to see Swāmījī every hour or every day, it is always something special when we can be with him. I think most of you think the same as I do. I was praying in the morning, "Please, Mahāprabhujī, let me understand what Swāmījī would like to say to us." I always pray to Mahāprabhujī, "Please, Mahāprabhujī, let me understand what Swāmījī is trying to explain to us, and give me the power and the patience that I also wish to follow." All of us have some knowledge, but few of us are living like this. About this, I am very happy to have the possibility to be with all of you, and especially with Swāmījī. I think this is the most precious time in our life. Again, I’d like to say, dear Vishvagurujī, thank you very much that you’ve spent so much time with us. And also, thank you very much to all of you, because if you were not here, what would it be? We would miss you all. And now we will give Swāmījī a mālā. Alakhpurījī Mahādeva kī jaya, Devśvara Mahādeva kī jaya, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān kī jaya, Satya Sanātana Dharma kī jaya. Good evening, all dear ones. Good evening, my dear ones. I think there are some children, so they should know that Swāmījī is here, and satsaṅg begins. They can decide if they want to have satsaṅg with me or be silent in the garden. You see how our children... "Atha Yogānuśāsanam": The yoga begins with discipline. And how are our children already following the discipline? All are peaceful. Welcome, all of you. Nice to see you. Two days ago, our Divine Mother had her anniversary. And also, two days before, it was nominated as Brother’s Day. You know, we have Mother’s Day, Father’s Day. After they brought Yoga Day, Peace Day, Non-Violence Day... but Sister’s Day, Rakṣabandhan. So people were thinking, "Why is there no Brother’s Day?" And this is one of the biggest festivals for all sisters, according to the Indian ancient culture and tradition. So it has its name. Stand up. She should tell, because she’s Indian. Thank you. And what is bhai? Bhai, brother. So before Guru Pūrṇimā, the new moon, which was the day before yesterday, that’s called Bhai Dūs. Bhai means brother. You see, Sanskrit is the mother of many languages. Ma and Mātā are the same. Bhai and Brat are the same. So many names are equal. So, Bhāī Dūs. This is a new moon festival of brothers. It is a festival for the new month, the Day of the Brothers. Sisters fast on this day for the brothers’ good health, and brothers promise protection for the sisters in every aspect. Such festivals are social festivals to maintain and protect society. When a girl is married into another village, and anyone, a boy or a man, comes from her birthplace to that village, it doesn’t matter from which family he is from; she will consider him as her real brother. Nowadays, there is a lot of transportation. But in ancient times, when they had to walk or go by horse, buggy, or horseback, any man, any boy, anyone coming from the village... she would hear that somebody is coming from her village and she would run to get a blessing. They would, with both hands, give blessings to her. If the boy or the man is younger than her, then she would bless him. Yes, and three times she would make like this. Please don’t try tomorrow. And when you do, be very soft. So that creates a beautiful human relation. That was maintaining harmony, peace, understanding, love, and being always ready to help. Yes. The sister has a right. If the brother or boy is younger than her, and he makes any mistakes or something, she has the right to twist his ears. Yes, even she will make him wear the shoes on his head. That’s the right of the sister, you know. And the boy, the brother, he will say nothing against. He will only look down, his eyes and face down, as if in shame. Yes. So, we should have such a relation in our world. What we call yoga is a way to peace and non-violence. She will say, "What a shame for me that all these village people, where I married, will say, 'This is that boy from your village.'" And now, that’s all. So that’s called a moral, that’s called ethic, and that’s called spirituality, and that’s called social well-being, a social education. So the time has come again like that. As long as women do not get respect, there will be no peace. And peace only women can bring. But not like this now, how the women are behaving. Both men and women, their behavior is catastrophic. So, it doesn’t matter if it’s the West or the East, or the South or the North; it has nothing to do with culture. A human is human, and every human needs respect, understanding, kindness, help, and support. That’s very important. And the time has come to come back to this path. People said, "Well, we are in the West. We don’t need a guru." How do you know? How do you know? Only you will know when you will say, "Finished, life here." And you come up in this space, then you will know what a guru is. So the guru is not only for Indians, not only for Indian culture. It is in the whole world. Even animals have the guru. Even the birds have a guru. The ducks have a guru. So everywhere, in every different kind of creation, there is a leader. And if you don’t follow the rules, then you are in trouble. So, one does not understand what the guru principle is. Don’t see physically. Some gurus are beautiful. And some are not like this, hanging hair, and the stomach is like a pumpkin. If not, then it will come, so it is not the body. It is that light, the knowledge. A closed fist has a value of millions. A closed fist. Satvoreṇa. An open fist is like dust. Bāndī muṭī, lakhī, khul gayī to rakh kī. So when the fist is closed, it has a value of millions. A one precious diamond, if it is in this fist, this fist is worth millions, so everybody should respect this fist. But if you open it, it’s dust. So, the body is not that important. That ātmā, that soul, that is inside. This mesh box is full of diamonds. Very valuable. So we will keep it very nicely in the treasure. But if it’s all in the mind, it has not so much value. It’s the same box. But what is inside, that’s it. So, not the body, or one born in Europe, or in China, or Japan, or Mexico, or Africa, or India, or anywhere. Do you know what is the value inside? Ātmā. Therefore, it is said, "Brahmanandam Paramashukadam." That Guru is the bliss of the Brahman. Brahmanandam, the bliss of the Supreme Brahman. Brahman is the highest, above everything, and only that one is existing. Ekobrahman duttya nastri, one is the Brahman only. The rest is all not immortal, all changeable. Therefore, Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithyā. Therefore the Brahman, that is the ultimate truth. This world is a mortal world. It comes and it goes. Brahmanandam Param Sukhadam, and that is the highest supreme bliss, happiness. Kevalaṃ Jñānamūrti, and that is only the embodiment of the wisdom, the knowledge. That wisdom, the knowledge of the Supreme, not of the computer or this and that. We are this material, and human life is given to achieve, to realize that supreme Brahman. Everyone has the right for that, and everyone has it within them, but it is dormant. This mystic, you are this one. You are this one, but you have to get training with the Master. Then the light will awaken you. So, this is the awakened, this is the Master. You are the master of all if he is awakened. This is the master, and this is the disciple. What is the difference? So you are all this, and I am sitting here. So you will come to me. You will also become the master, oh self-realized one, oh God! That’s it. That I will tell you next. Brahmanandam Param Śukadam Kevalam Jñānam Urti. Only the embodiment of the wisdom, the knowledge, the truth. Dhyānamūrti, Dvandātītaṁ Gaganasadṛśyam, is not any kind of ignorance and fighting and this, no vikṣepa, no troubles, no clouds, no fogs. Brahmanandam paramasukhadam kevalam jñānamūrti dvandvātītam. Above this all, gaganaśadṛśyam. So that time, the consciousness is one like a sky. So, this here is the subject of yoga for Yoga Day, the International Day of Yoga. The subject was yoga for body and beyond. So what is beyond? It’s a very good question. Beyond, until Brahman, that you can realize and achieve while practicing your yoga in daily life. Not only asanas and prānāyāmas, but it is said yoga is for the body and the mind. Yoga for body and beyond was a very good subject, and that is such a subject, it has no end, and everyone can tell something. "Kevalaṃ Jñānamūrti Dvandātītaṃ Gaganasadṛśyaṃ Tasmāsyādilakṣyaṃ," and that is the aim of all of us to achieve. Lakṣya, lakṣya means aim, target, achievement. Ekam, nityam, bimal, achyalam, and that one is only one, ekam, that’s only one. So we are all one. That’s why Gurujī said, "One in, all in; all in." Only one, Ekam Nityam, is everlasting. And we are not nityam; the body is not nityam. It doesn’t matter how much you practice, how much medicine you take, or how much Āyurveda you take, but sooner or later, this body will go. Or, you are that ṛṣi, like Alakhpurījī, Śabd Ṛṣis, they are living. I told you last time, no? And I will tell you more. Ekam Nityam, only one and everlasting, Vimal Achalam, and Vimal, spotless, not Vimal here. So, spotless is that Ātmā. Nothing can touch you, no spot will come on you. All is the dust; it will go out because you have realized that Ātmā. So when you have good thoughts about that one, you will get a good ātmā. And if you talk negatively or say something bad, in case this body has negative karmas, that will go to you. As much as you take negative thoughts, my body becomes lighter and lighter. So don’t think negatively about everything, the whole universe, the whole world. When you think, for example, that alcohol is bad. No. First, you are the bad. You had a bad thought in your brain, that alcohol is bad. So first you became bad, and then you made the alcohol bad. Understand me? Alcohol is not bad. We need it sometimes for something. Use the alcohol, but don’t abuse the alcohol. That’s it. So vimal is spotless. And this is the saṅkalpa we take in this seminar. That we will become spotless, and we have to have one sooner or later. But my dear, sometimes it’s not easy because, for some people, negative thinking is like food without spices, with no salt and nothing, if they don’t think negatively. So they want to have some masala inside. Means criticizing, jealousy, anger, etc. Can we one day remain without thinking negatively? Now also, I don’t know how many of you are thinking in a different way. Sometimes there is so much masala that you don’t know which is which. So you are so many here, so I don’t know which thought is where. So I have to settle them. And when I began to settle, all was beautiful. Therefore, why do you hide then? Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. So, everyone, go into the park under the trees and let it out. And that one is the knower of everything. He or she knows everything, but they don’t open. You see? So that’s called Trikāl Darśī. Past, present, and future. And we don’t know what was in the past. And we don’t know what will be in the future. And we are confused now in the present. Should we go back? Or fault. Therefore, live it, do our sādhanā, and Gurudeva will lead us. Ekam Nityam Vimalāchalam Śravaḍhi Sākṣibhūtam. Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said in the 15th chapter, "Mame Vāso Jīva Loke Jīva Bhūta Sanātana." I dwell in each and every entity. And all are my relatives. Mame Vaso Jīva Loke Jīva Bhūta Sanātana. Sanātana means relative. Sanātana means my part, my essence. So, the relation with all creatures, from the elephant to all others. So, sanātana, relation, so that relation is called realism. So, from realizing your relation, that is a religion. Which relation? That your ātmā and my ātmā are one. Your ātmā and my ātmā are one. There is no duality. Gaganasa Dhrasya, the sky is one. But when we look down, there are many things. Or when we look down, there are many stars. So we are many stars, but in one space. That is reality. That’s what Śaṅkarācārya said. No duality. Non-duality. So, Advaita, not Dvaita, Advaita. Sarvadī Sākṣībhūtaṁ Bhavātītaṁ Triguṇarahitaṁ, and above all troubles. Bhāva, bhāva, love or hate. Above this. All the world is moving; everything is moving in the world, and you can’t stop it. You know, someone said we begin to grow old already in our mother’s body. When you were born, you were nine months old, yes? So, you can’t change that. It will be getting older and older and older. So that is a duality, but oneness is that Ātmā, that consciousness, divine. Sarvādhiṣākṣībhūtaṁ bhavātītaṁ triguṇarahitaṁ, above, beyond three guṇas. Satgurutam Namamyam, to that Gurudeva we bow down. So Gurudeva, Guru principle, Guru tattva. But sometimes, after some time, again the past karmas come and change your thoughts in another direction. It is said, this Jīva, your and my Jīvas, I have no strength. That we can repeat the name of God. Our karma, muḥḍe dhapkī, that karma comes and gives you a slip on your cheek. My pīr de, it turns your face from that reality to unreality again. So, how can you change? So, until the last breath of life, take care, take care that you don’t miss your path. So, it is not that the Guru is only for Indian people. Guru is for every human and protector of all creatures. So He is the liberator for all. So, Guru Mahimā, the glory of the Gurudeva, is a great... you don’t know. Therefore, it is said, a very nice bhajan: "Gurudeva, be in us." Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān, Alakhpurījī Mahādev, Devpurījī Mahādev, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavāne, Satyaśnāth Dharma Kī Jai, Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvar, Śrī Svāmī Maheśvarānandajī, Gurujī. Tomorrow we will translate this bhajan. It is very, very beautiful, very knowledgeable, and very clear. This bhajan is written by Mahāprabhujī. So, Holy Gurujī said, all bhajans and words of Mahāprabhujī are the vākyas of the Vedas. So, I wish you all the best. Good evening, and welcome to you all. We will have many programs about prāṇa and furthermore, prāṇa and beyond. Okay.
