The original knowledge about the way to the Atma

The human body is a divine system requiring balanced prāṇa for self-realization. Satsaṅg transforms ignorance into knowledge. Reality is everlasting; the temporary is unreal. Attainment depends solely on grace. Prāṇa is the vital power. The body has 72,000 channels, with Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumnā as the main three. Vajra Nāḍī is the earthing channel; its strength determines immunity. Weak Vajra Nāḍī leads to physical and energetic imbalance. Practices like Vajrāsana and Khaṭṭu Praṇām activate this nāḍī, aiding digestion, increasing immunity, and preparing one for meditation. Yoga harmonizes body, mind, and consciousness.

"Reality is that which is everlasting; non-reality is temporary."

"Vajra Nāḍī is the earthing nāḍī. If your Vajra Nāḍī is not strong, not active, if there is no relief, then immunity will start to decrease."

We are very fortunate to receive the benefit of satsaṅg. Sat Sudhare Sat Saṅg Pahi. Therefore, today is the best day. Every day is a good day, but the day and the time, the hours and minutes—fortunate, lucky, and blessed are those who can attend the satsaṅg. A foolish, ignorant person can become a great scholar or knowledgeable being through satsaṅg. It means having the company of good friends, with truth, honesty, and strong willpower. Never give up that spiritual path, for human life is given for the attainment of self-realization. The sādhanā, the yoga, the meditation, the mantra, the spiritual path—it is the way to the Self. Self-inquiry, ātmanubhavati, ātma-anubhūti. Ātmā kā jñāna, ātmā kā sākṣātkāra, vahī ātmanubhūti, aparokṣa-anubhūti. Ādi Guru Bhagavān Śaṅkarācārya speaks of Aparokṣa-anubhūti. There, he very nicely describes what is reality and what is not. Reality is that which is everlasting; non-reality is temporary. Even if something lasts for one yuga, after that yuga, one has to go again. But that Brahma, that Ātmā, that knowledge, is forever. How to attain that? Guru Kripāhi Kevalam. When you study the whole year, at the end your teacher, professor, or principal reads your work, your examinations. Then, whether it is good or not, the stamp is given by whoever is checking it. Similarly, all our karmas from our whole life, good or bad—we do not know them. But only that Parabrahma, Paramātmā, Gurudev gives the stamp. Mokṣa Mūlaṁ Guru Kṛpā. Sometimes there is a test (parīkṣā). We are all going through the test, and sometimes it is warm, sometimes it is cold. So Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa says, "Hot and cold, don’t worry." But you worry; you can start your fan. Let’s go, plug in your phone, turn on the fan. Because somewhere our Gurudev gives us a comfortable life, yet so many people are unhappy. Tomorrow they will not come. This means we lack that tapasyā to endure. One who endures situations is a yogī. We were talking about ātmā, ātma-jñāna. But for that we need a power, and that power is called prāṇa. What is prāṇa? Sometimes it is difficult to know if Prāṇa is Jīva or Jīva is Prāṇa. Jīva is Jīva, or Prāṇa is Jīva. What is the difference between Prāṇa and Jīva? We also say, "Hey Prāṇanāth, God, you are our life." You are the life, you are our prāṇa, not "Hey Jīvanāth." That is different. In the human body—and now we come to that point—what you are talking about, the internet, is an imitation of the human body. In the human body, there are 72,000 nerves, the channels. Through these 72,000 nerves, our consciousness, our awareness, our feelings, our being passes. Each nerve is connected to different organs. Take, for example, the liver. Our liver is a chemical factory. Whatever goes into our āmāśaya, it makes juice, hormones from there. There is nothing in this body. That is the factory for making medicines. Those who drink alcohol, drink too much coffee, drink very little water, move less, or eat too much fat—for children it is okay because they are growing. In our normal local language, we say "hands dry" or "hands full." When you wash your hands, they get dry, and then you get hungry because you children are growing. You need strength for your bones, muscles, and body. That’s why you have to eat a lot. If you eat a lot, then all that energy, prāṇāyāma, goes away. If you think well, read well, and exercise well, then through yoga, that prāṇa which circulates in our body... Therefore, growing children should have good nutrition. They should have good food. They can have butter, oil, and the kind of food they need for the development of the body and bones. Take only the liver, for example. What kind of machine has God made, that so many different hormones are produced there? If the liver is damaged, then—the name of Lord Rāma is Sat, and the name of Lord Gītā is Nārāyaṇa—as soon as this disease occurs, a person dies in a few days. That is why those who drink alcohol, eat tobacco, eat gudkā, and do dhūmrapāna have their livers damaged. So, hormones. The energy, that kind of energy, the prāṇāyāma we need, is developing in our body. Is it targeted, concentrated on that particular organ, the liver? But the liver is not the whole government. There is a president, a vice president, a prime minister, ministers, the whole parliament. What about the kidneys? The kidneys (gurda) can also get damaged. But God has made a beautiful organ that filters everything. It takes one to two hours to clean the blood. After two days, if it doesn’t get cleaned, then it has to be cleaned by the kidneys and blood, but that is very dangerous and can become an infection. God has given this body a kind of immunity. That immunity, which is the enemy of other diseases—what is it? Immunity is a BSF, a Border Security Force. If the Border Security Force is weak, then everything will be messed up. So immunity—how to build immunity? That too is Prāṇa. We have designed a yoga exercise especially called Khāṭū Praṇām. Sūrya Namaskār and Khāṭū Praṇām are different; there is a day and night difference between them. Sūrya Namaskār develops, activates, and keeps the system functioning in its best condition. That system is called Vāṇḍāḍī, Vajranāḍī, Iḍā, Piṅgalā, Suṣumnā. These are the three main nāḍīs. The main balance for the 72,000 nāḍīs is maintained by iḍā, piṅgalā, and suṣumṇā, through which the lightning comes, prāṇa comes, cosmic light comes. Both prāṇa and apāna function in the body. When a person is very critical and strict—no means no and yes means yes—he is like a yogī, an engineer. If they build a building, there must be a particular wire we call earthing. Earthing from the earth. See how yoga connects to modern science, and modern science is connected, researched, and used for our better work. To understand this: if the original is destroyed, everything is destroyed. The earth is our body: earth, ether, water, agni, vāyu, or ākāśa. Now, earthing. If the earthing is weak or not connected properly, and then electricity falls from the clouds onto the house, the house will fall, break, become clean, burn. There is great danger. But if the earthing wire is properly done, no matter how much electricity is applied, a single wire will balance and protect the whole building. It will take all that energy into the earth. Hari Om Tassat. True or not, yogīs? Yes. So you are strict. Yes, but sometimes not toward yourself. Now, the Vajra Nāḍī is the earthing nāḍī. If your Vajra Nāḍī is not strong, not active, if there is no relief, then immunity will start to decrease. If immunity decreases, the body will become weak. Then what will happen? Infections will come. All kinds of infections will come. There will be fever, cold, cough—many things because the immunity is not there. The BSF army is not there. The battalions are not there. Where have the battalions gone? The battalion got finished in the butter. When immunity is weak, it means your Vajranāḍī is not functioning. When Vajranāḍī becomes weak, you may have a brain attack, you may have lakwa (paralysis), and generally it happens from the left side. The left side has Iḍā, the right side has Piṅgalā, but that attack happens from the Piṅgalā side, not from the Iḍā Nāḍī side. Yet it affects the left side, as yoga tells. It goes like a serpent, that Kuṇḍalinī, or whatever you call Iḍā and Piṅgalā. Suṣumnā is straight, and Iḍā-Piṅgalā goes serpentine. They go to the end of the spinal column, and there is a very, very invisible knot. That is not physically affecting. Even if an operation is done, the energy of the iḍā and piṅgalā is there, and then Vajranāḍī... Vajranāḍī begins the strongest prāṇa. A huge tree: the height of the branches and the tree must be matched by the depth of the roots holding inside, or the Vajranāḍī. The beginning of Vajranāḍī and the beginning of Iḍā-Piṅgalā is from the small of the brain. It reflects from left and right, and Suṣumnā goes through the center. But all these three nāḍīs begin from the backside, the top of the head. If you fall there, you will either die or get injured; your balance will go away. These three nāḍīs, prāṇa—this order: prāṇa receives the cosmic light. But the light is so strong; how to control it? First is jñāna, Gurudev’s kṛpā, but through that earthing power, the earthing channel that begins from there and ends at the end of the spinal column. Where we spoke of the kriyā, the śakti, the kuṇḍalinī... Now, Vajra Nāḍī begins from between the big toe and the second toe. Vajra Nāḍī starts from between the thumb and the middle finger. In the middle of the thumb and the middle finger, the Ṛṣis, Munīs, Saints, and Mahātmās wear wooden shoes (khadāv). If your shoes are dry, you could also get electricity, but you will not get a shock because it has earthing. That earthing does not conduct through the middle of the wood. If there is something else, then the rest is all talk. The way that earthing blocks... So, you never know what kind of energy is coming from the earth—sometimes good, sometimes bad. It is healthier. Those who wear khadāv wear two types. Either they wear a paṭṭa, but that is not real. Now there is safety. The khadāv that is worn, that khuṭī, those two come between the thumb and the index finger, between the big toe and the second toe. There is a wooden nail. That is between the big toe and the second toe. That awakens our Vajranāḍī and keeps our immunity in good condition. This is number one. So you should know that the prāṇa coming from the Vajranāḍī is controlling and blocking all the attacks of the different kinds of prāṇa. Prāṇa, apāna, samāna, udāna, vyāna—there are five prāṇas, and there are five upa-prāṇas. So, Khaṭṭu Praṇām, which we are doing: we sit first; it’s called Vajrāsana. Why do we call it Vajrāsana? Because it influences the Vajranāḍī. Now you understand? Vajranāḍī is affected when we sit in Vajrāsana. Then it goes through the foot, from the bone to the knees, and comes up to the Mūlādhāra. These are two parts of the body to balance for walking and for thinking. Movement goes through our two legs, balancing that. But ordering and awareness are through our brain. These two parts of the body are the torso, the abdomen, and the thorax. Then prāṇa and apāna both have to come to the navel. When the navel is attended to, then the Vajrā Nāḍī and the immunity become very clear and strong. You can go easily into meditation. By doing Khaṭṭu Praṇām, tiredness is relieved, immunity increases, clarity increases, and sleep is good. Vajrāsana is especially influential during intense times because it is near the navel. After eating, sit for 5 or 10 minutes in Vajrāsana. You will have no problem with digestion, etc. Yoga is a science of body, mind, and consciousness. Therefore, yoga gives harmony of body, mind, and soul. Health for body, mind, and soul: physical, mental, social, and spiritual health maintained through the scientific system of yoga in one's life. Otherwise, you are doing yoga just to stretch the body, giving time to stretch your muscles. It will give you energy, you will be relaxed, and children will have better concentration to learn. So today, it is enough. I will stop my talk here. The next webcast will be Sunday or Monday. You will have a rest; that is sometimes best. But you will do the Khāṭū Praṇām. Every day, children, everyone, at least five rounds. If you do it, it is the best. Khaṭṭu pranam. We have added some postures especially to affect the nābhi (navel). There is the Kuṇḍalinī. There is a power. Amṛt is here. Where? In the Nābhi. Then it develops into the Bindu Chakra. Life begins, and life goes from the navel. Next time we will speak further about prāṇa. Prāṇa is life. Prāṇa is everywhere, and there are many, many yogīs. Automatically, or sanyogavās, they have prāṇa nourishment. There is one Sanyāsī, sixty-four years old. He doesn’t drink anything, doesn’t eat anything. She is very active. She wears clothes like a woman, but she is a man. So she had a vision that you are Śakti. So here too she is naked. Here too she wears the same clothes, but great. We will try next time. We will come. We will bring her to the garden. She will come. Okay, son? Then she will teach everyone. There is no need to eat food. Then, if they give prasād, take it and add it to the kheer. Oh, mom, people are in a mess. Where did you eat the laḍḍū? So today, I take this opportunity to take rest. I wish you all the best. Dear brothers, sisters, bhaktas, dear ones, all the best and blessings of the Śrī Alak Purījī Siddhapīṭha Paramparā. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Sabadāśa Prabhu Śaraṇaparāyaṇam. Sabadāśa Prabhu Nārāyaṇam. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dīpa... Rāyaṇam om namaḥ śrī prabhūdīp Rāyaṇam ham śabdāsa prabhūsara Rāyaṇam ham śabdāsa prabhūsara Rāyaṇam om namaḥ śrī prabhūdīp Rāyaṇam ham śabdāsa prabhūsara. Look to the Holy Gurujī’s mudrā and face. How beautiful. Put on Guruji’s photo, but he’s not there yet. Very good. Very well, and what then? You know, suddenly something will change in life, yes. Suddenly everything is changing in life, yes. So bhaktas, children, they fold hands and say, "Om Namah Śrī Prabhu Dīpanārāyaṇam. Om Namah Śrī Prabhu Dīpanārāyaṇam..." Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda... Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhudeepā. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhudeepā... Namah Om Namah Shri Prabhu Dīpana. Namah Om Namah Shri Prabhu Dīpana. Namah Śabdāś Prabhu Śaraṇa. Namah Śabdāś Prabhu Śaraṇa. Namah Om Namah Shri Prabhu Dīpana. Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān kī. Deve Adhideva Deve Svarma Devā kī. Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandjī Bhagavān kī. Satya Sanātana Dharma kī. Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ...
