Journey to thyself

A guided meditation for realizing the inner self.

Sit straight with the body upright and relaxed. Close the eyes and silence all external distractions. Completely relax the entire body from the toes to the head, making it motionless and cool. Begin by observing the natural, unaltered rhythm of the breath. Be aware of the inhalation and exhalation, feeling the body's slight expansion and contraction. Withdraw awareness from the external world to focus entirely within. Harmonize with the body and breath, observing all internal activities without interference. Release all wishes, desires, and external thoughts to experience the inner divinity. Direct awareness to the breath moving between the navel and the eyebrow center. Maintain the attitude of a detached witness to all inner phenomena. Visualize a dawn within the inner consciousness, seeing a sunrise. Then imagine a lamp in the hands, its flame rising to merge with that sun, symbolizing the soul's journey to union.

"Withdraw thyself from the external world and come within thyself."

"Just be the observer... I am Sat Chit Ānand, the truth, the consciousness."

Sit straight. Keep your body straight. In the meditation, think about what is the goal of your life. Do you want to earn money? Do you want to do farming? Do you want to become an engineer? Is this the goal of your life, or is there something else other than this? Close your eyes. Close your eyes. Jis kisi kā telephone on hai, usko bandh kar do, āvāj ā rahī hai. Ek bandh kar ke, śarīra ko bilkul śītal kar dījī. Relax the whole body from the toes till the top of the head, and from the top of the head till the toes. Keep your body straight upright, and be aware of your being here in this hall. Keep the body completely perfected, keep all limbs cool and completely at rest. From the toes of the feet to the top of the head, the entire body should be given rest. To know yourself, first you should consider this. Ki main yāṁ iss āśram mein baiṭhā hūṁ, merā śarīr bahut sukhdāī hai, merā man śānt. Feel thy body, that your body is motionless, kāyā sthiryam, kāyā sthiryam, the whole body is motionless and relaxed. Pūrā śarīra milkul śānt mudrā mein. Koī hal cal nahīn. And now, follow the breath. Do not change the breath rhythm. Let your breath flow as naturally as it is. Just be aware of your breath, that you know you are inhaling and you know that you are exhaling. Let it flow, the breath, very natural. Āpne śvāsa para śvāsa kā khyāla. Āpne śvāsa kī rhythm ko badalanā nahīṁ hai. Jaisā bhī apnā śvāsa cal rahā hai, calne do, aur āp man hī man yaha vicāra rakho ki maiṁ śvāsa le rahā hūṁ, maiṁ śvāsa nikāl rahā hūṁ. Ascending and descending the breath. Our body swells a little, and as we exhale, the body shrinks. Breathe in and breathe out in the same rhythm. The body and the breath should experience the same rhythm. Ascending and descending breath, be aware of the breath. During the time of inhalation, the body is expanding slightly, and during the time of exhalation, it is contracting. Coordinate your body and breath. Relax the whole body and relax your breath. Turn inward from the external world. For you, the external world is completely void, only our internal world exists, we become introverted. I am sitting in meditation posture, my body is completely still, the body is steady, my breath is flowing, and the body and breath are harmonizing. Mere man, mere cetana, mere vicāra, mere buddhi, mere anubhava, sab mere śarīra ke andar hī hai. Withdraw thyself from the external world and come within thyself. Be aware of your mind, your thoughts, your awareness, your concentration. Just feel oneness with your body and breath, the harmony. Your heartbeat, your blood pressure, your digestion, all the activities of the whole body are working according to the natural nature of your meditation. Viśram, Viśram, Viśram. Kisi bhī cīz kō’ī āpekṣā nahī̃ kare. No wishes and desires about anything. Just let it be thyself as you are. Detach thyself from all the external thoughts. Just be thyself. You are the Divine. Sabhi mann kī kalpanāoṁ ko haṭā karke, is mann se purī sansār ko ek tarap kar lījiye, apne āp ke andar divyatā kā anubhav kartī hue, kī main pūr rūpen ānand kī mudrā mein ho, mujhe koī kisī cīz kī āpśaktā nahīṁ, kisī prakār kā vikār nahīṁ, krodh nahīṁ, relax. No wishes or desires, no ambition. You are divine within thyself. And now, feel your breath ascending and descending from the navel to the Ājñā Cakra and from the Ājñā Cakra to the Maṇipūra Cakra at the navel. While taking the breath inside, the power, the energy that is within the breath comes from the navel to the eyebrow center, to the bhrūkūṭī. It comes to the bhrūkūṭī. And while exhaling the breath, it goes from the bhrūkūṭī to the navel. Ascending and descending breath awareness. At the time of the inhalation, the breath awareness is ascending from the navel to the eyebrow center. At the time of the exhalation, from the eyebrow centre descending until the navel. Main Sat Chit Svarūp, Ānand Svarūp, koī kalpanā nahīṁ karnī hai abhī, jo tumhāre andar meṁ kriyā hotī hai, ho hone do, keval sākṣī bhāv se, keval sākṣī bhāv. Whatever happening within thy body, let it be, just be the observer, I am Sat Chit Ānand, the truth, the consciousness. Consciousness, Awareness, and Bliss. Jab tak āp apne śarīra kī andar jitane bhī kriyā haiṁ, unko āp apne niyantraṇ meṁ nahīṁ rak pā rahe ho, to bāharī jagat bhī āp ke niyantraṇ meṁ nahīṁ rahegā. You are the master of yourself, you are the engineer of yourself. Whatever is happening in your body, observe and feel that all is in balance and control. You are the architect of your inner self. If your inner world is not under your control, it is impossible to achieve what you want to achieve in the external world. Relax, keep your eyes closed, and continue to observe the world within yourself. Aankhī bandh rahe, aur main āp ko abhi kalpanik citra batātā hoon, āp ko dikhegā. I am going to give you one imagination which you will see in your cidākāśa, apne cidākāśa ke andar. What you are seeing now is a kind of darkness from the eyes of the people. Imagine that in the morning of Brahmurth, there is light before the sun is going to rise. See this towards the east, i.e. Between your Brahmudya, behind Lalāṭa, what you see is called Chidākāśa. Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā... Imagine within thy chidākāśa a beautiful dawn rising, far in the horizon, a beautiful dawn. You are observing and waiting for the sunrise. You see your body, that you are sitting and meditating on the sunrise. The sun is rising, the sun is rising, a beautiful golden, a golden color, mighty sun, beautiful dawn. The sun, the entire sun, has come out of the horizon. Now imagine, keep your eyes closed, you have a lamp in your hand, you have a lamp in both your hands, and that lamp is rising from your palm and going towards the sun. See, this is an imaginary picture, but one day this light will be visible. A very beautiful glow of the lamp is visible; that light is going towards the sun. The same is your consciousness, the same is your soul, the same is your consciousness, your conscious form. The same is the lamp. That is thy ātmā, that is thy consciousness, that is yourself. That flame is rising up from your palm and proceeding towards the rising sun. Just observe this imagination: Brahmā Mūrti, śānt vātāvaraṇ, prakṛti kī āvāz, cidiyoṁ kī āvāz, japat pakṣī, pyareshwar, aruṇā—the morning dawn, very peaceful, but the sound of the nature and birds, each... and every creature singing the glory of the Divine, Dayātmā also. Also, relax. Iskā ānand lījiye. Yehi aapko satya kī tarah lijāra hai. Brahmā kī tarah lijāra hai. The ātmā will merge back into that Paramatmā. Yeh ek vah yātrā hai. It is that journey which is a journey to thyself. Voh yātrā āp kī taraf hai. Your inner journey is. In this, the union of Jīva and Śiva, Ātmā and Paramātmā is found in the form of this kind of vibration, resonance, Nāda in the form of Brahma, and becomes one. Take a deep breath and meditate on your body again. Mere sāth meṁ oṁ kā uccāraṇ hogā, gherā svāsa lījiye, oṁ āṅkheṁ bandh rakhīye. Dono Haath Jor Dijiye, Jaisa Mein Bolu, Namaḥ Karata Prabhu, Dīpa Karata, Śānti Śānti... Āke bandh rakhiye dono hateliyoṅ ko maliś kariyye, aur āpne chere par rakhiye. Āpne hāthoṅ ke andar āke khoḍiyye, āryo āj joḍiye, aur āge jhukiye. Āpne chere par rakhiye, āpne chere par rakhiye... āpne. Aake khol dijiye, dono hāth jamīn pe rakhiye, aur dono hāthon ke sahāre se, dheere se āp apne sir ko upar uṭhā dijiye. Om śāntiḥ śāntiḥ... Asato mā sad gamaya, tamaso mā jyotir gamaya, mṛtyor mā amṛtam gamaya. Sarveṣām svastir bhavatu, sarveṣām śāntir bhavatu, sarveṣām maṅgalam bhavatu. Sarveṣām Pūrṇam Bhavatu. Sat Sat...
