Vishwaguruji's Birthday

The spiritual path requires surrender to the Guru and daily practice to receive and transmit divine light. Success comes only through the Guru's grace, not personal effort. Disciples share experiences of being called to serve, such as teaching yoga in new countries, which initially provokes fear. By following the Guru's instruction, fear dissolves and the work unfolds with support. The aim is spiritual development through consistent sādhanā, leading to self-realization and the future establishment of a golden age. The Guru's love and wisdom provide the only necessary guidance and shelter on the narrow path.

"Without Gurudev, whatever we do, there is no success. The success comes from Gurudev."

"If you have an honest wish, then you can always pray to Gurudev, and this thing is becoming a reality."

So, we have here our dear Swāmī Dayāmātā. Come near Mahāprabhujī so the webcast comes, you know, not because of you, yes. You know her; she has been with us for many, many years. At the last Kumbh Melā from Ilābhāṣ, she took sannyāsa. She is in Vancouver, taking care of Yoga in Daily Life with the āśram and āśram members, like Nirvāṇapurī and all her family, and so on. Now she is also moving towards China, bringing the message of Mahāprabhujī there. She has already prepared an āśram in China. So, of course, for those who want to go to China and teach yoga in their life, there are certain rules. But you all know, Czechoslovakian people, what those rules are from your previous time. So I need to train you now. She came from Vancouver, a long way, and we would like to hear what she wants to tell. So the floor is yours. Mahāprabhujī, Kārthāhi Kevalam. Om Śāntiḥ, Śāntiḥ, Śāntiḥ. Guru Brahmā, Guru Viṣṇu, Guru Devo Maheśvara, Guru Sākṣāt Parabrahma, Tasmai Śrī Guruve Namaḥ. Good evening, dear brothers and sisters. I am so honored to be here today, especially on this very auspicious day of Gurudev’s birthday. I don’t know how I feel; I am so lucky to be here, and I am quite sure all of you feel this very special day. Our Gurudev’s light shines upon all of us. I came all the way from Vancouver just to get more of Gurudev’s darśan, so that I can have this full cup to bring to China. I think today we are all coming to take as much as we can, as you all can. I came here from Vancouver to fill my scarf with the light of Swāmījī, and I think we are all the same—we came here to be in the light of Swāmījī and then to give the light further, just as I will give it further in China, as much as I will be able to. This morning, the prince said that Gurudev gave us so much love, but we are supposed to give him love back. So I was thinking, what is this love? I just think that we are all in yoga, and what do we need to do in this? Gurudev has been telling us so much about yoga. For me, the first thing is to surrender. But it is so easy to speak about surrender—but how? I think without Gurudeva, we cannot even surrender. So we have to ask for his help to change also. But the change is not easy, too. So we just have to surrender to Gurū Dev and change. I hope that we all can do that. Although I go to China, without Gurudev, nothing can happen. In my heart, I know Gurudev is with me when I go to China. Without Gurudev, whatever we do, there is no success. The success comes from Gurudev. And I need a lot of help from all of you. As I speak, I think people will think, "Oh, I don’t speak Chinese, how can I do that?" It is a strange culture, too. It is not my culture. I look like Chinese, but I never grew up there. The first time I was there, I knew nobody. It was scary, too, for me. When Gurudev gave something, asked for something, I know he stands behind us, but we need the courage to do and to listen to Guru Vākya. Because when Guru Dev told me to go to China, I hesitated for nearly two years because I also had fear—because of my age, I worry about medical issues, not knowing people. But suddenly, when I really go through my Guruvākya, everything becomes much easier. The fear went away, and it was better, much, much better than I expected. It was not me; it was our Gurudev. Our honor is Gurudev. So if any one of you thinks that you would like to come to China to become a teacher, China needs a lot of teachers, especially Yoga in Daily Life teachers. Because China is full of all kinds of yoga, but they are not really yoga; they are gymnastics. So I hope that Yoga in Daily Life will be spreading all over China. At this point, I think if more yoga teachers come forward, we can help people to correct what they are doing, which is not really yoga. So I hope many, many of you will join me soon. Do not be afraid, and you will find that a new world opens to you. So, thank you all, and thank you, Gurudev. Thank you. Yes, and now also from very far distance, coming from Vilach. So, the same. There is Dayāmātā, and this is Dayāpurī. I think she has been waiting for the last ten years for Swāmījī to give her two minutes to speak. Okay. You can give me herbal tea, yeah? Somehow, it is true. I am often thinking about a speech, but by time I learned not to expect that it will come. I was thinking about this morning and yesterday evening when our guest, Alfred from Liechtenstein, told that on the top of the top, it is lonely. In a small way, we Swamis also experience this, in a small way. But I was thinking, yes, our Guru Dev is on the top of the top. No, but he is not lonely, because he is one. He is the whole consciousness; he is all. He is in us. We are with him. One in all, all in one. From this, I think the love of our Gurudev is God. Then I was thinking about yesterday evening, what message Swāmījī gave to us. You know, I am a practical person. I like to practice, and Swāmījī said yesterday: gain, develop, achieve, and give further. I think this is the gift we can give, really, to Swāmījī, to our Gurudev. Always, we get their knowledge. Before, we could read books, also spiritual books, but how could we understand only with our normal consciousness? In the moment we met our Guru Dev and we got mantra, the consciousness was connected to his. From this moment, we could understand what we were reading. Now, always, Guru Dev is giving us so much knowledge. When we practice this, then this knowledge can open in us. It can develop, and then we will understand more and more because we will experience, and this then we will achieve what we want. And then this wish comes to give further. This is what we have. This is Yoga in Daily Life, and all human beings need this. I think this is the gift we can give back to our Gurudeva. With love and joy, Dhyāna Mūlam Guru Mūrti, Pūjā Mūlam Guru Param, Mantra Mūlam Guruvākya, Mokṣa Mūlam Guru Kṛpā. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. Praṇām Gurudev. Praṇām. Good evening, all my dear brothers and sisters. I have permission to speak Czech, so I will leave English, and it will be easier for me. This opportunity that was given to me by Viśva Gurujī is completely unexpected, to stand in front of you and to give a speech. So I will speak about something that has been in my heart for the last two years, something that I find important and am trying to live in my everyday life. What addressed me immensely, and what is still in my heart living, was Swāmījī’s message two years ago. I will not be able to repeat it word by word, but the main message, or the main thought of this message, was that Swāmījī’s disciples—that means it really—and they want to develop on their spiritual path, should accept sādhanā as a daily practice and that they really should practice every day. That is Swāmījī’s wish and Swāmījī’s message to all of us, so that we would be successful in our spiritual path in this life. With the regular, everyday practice and sādhanā, we can reach the aim of this life, so that in future life we would come back on this planet as a self-realized being that will help to turn Kali-Yuga to Satya-Yuga. As I understand it with my very limited intellect, Swāmījī already spoke about it, that this change is already going on, or is there. But it definitely will not be a short process, and it will not be easy. To make Satya Yuga on this planet, for this will have such sense as our Gurudev are, it will be necessary to have more of such sense. If we succeed in this life, we who will help the planet, our Earth, to establish Satya Yuga here. It is probably too daring, but if I understood Swāmījī right, he meant that it should be us, in our future lives, who will help this planet to go into Satya Yuga. Since I read this message, I keep thinking about it and trying to understand how Swāmījī trusts us and what a big aim is in front of all of us. Thank you. Om śrīthi viśvamadeva gije, śrīthi pnaran bhagavān gije, viśvaguru deva gije. There is a bhajan from a holy saint. Yeah, there is a bhajan from a holy saint. We know it very well, and we love it, and we like to sing it. This is "Gurudeva Mare, Jabba Basa Kare." When Gurudeva took my hand and he is holding my hand, which hand else should I hold? When I recognize and see the beauty of Gurudev, which kind of beauty should I search for more? When Gurudeva is going on my side, then which home should I have more on my side? And when I bow down to my Gurudev, I find shelter at his lotus feet. Which shelter should I search for more? So this is the motto of our life, that we have everything, we found everything in our Gurudeva. Today he is celebrating; he is coming here on the karmabhūmi, on Mother Earth. And also one more bhajan came in my mind from Mahāprabhujī. Our path is so beautiful, our spiritual path with Swāmījī, the life together with Gurudev. But at the same time, it is not easy. Like Swāmījī always says, we have to take care, we have to be aware and go slowly, slowly. And on our way, there are so many temptations coming, so many desires, different kinds of longings and feelings. Very easily we leave the path and make a, how to say, side way. We leave the one-way street, and we follow our mind, and we think this is the right thing. It means we have to take care and observe always our feelings, our thoughts, emotions, and use our vivekā. Like in the bhajan is written, and there are so many rivers, 72,000 rivers we have to cross, and these are different feelings, different emotions, different longings, different desires. Without Gurudev, it is impossible to reach the aim. One can try and try; it is impossible. So that is why Mahāprabhujī says, "My mind goes slowly, slowly. Take time." And with confidence, strength, practice, vairāgya, uparati, titikṣā, go on the path. And we have to give up our ego and pride. The way of the path, the path of love, is so small, always, Swāmījī, only one can go. Like Gurujī said, always all in one and one in all. We have to become one. We have to become one. We will have to turn off the light so that those from the higher lokas can follow us. And from that other loka to this loka, communication, while message from very far distance, and that is our Ānandī from Croatia, Zagreb. No problem. After four minutes, you can make the light, OK? Praṇām, dear Gurudev, hariyom, dear brothers and sisters. After my four or five sisters made such a good speech, what can I say now? But today is a really special day for all of us, but not for all of us, for all the world. Not only for us, but for the whole world. As Viśva Gurujī many times said, when a sandal tree is growing in one forest, a new sandal tree, the whole forest is very happy. But if bamboo starts to grow in a forest, then the forest is not so happy, because bamboo can make fire in the forest. So on this day, the whole world was very, very happy and singing, because one of the greatest saints of this world came to this world, our Viśva Gurujī. But I am thankful, and we are all thankful to Mahāprabhujī, that he sent our Viśvagurujī to us. But Vishwagurujī came with a really, really hard assignment. I am very grateful that Mahāprabhujī sent Viśvagurujī to us, but at the same time, Viśvagurujī got a very difficult task. His assignment from Mahāprabhujī was to collect all of us. And it was not his assignment. Because in this life, we came to so many countries in the whole world, and it was a whole life’s work for Vishwagurujī to collect us in one place, and he made it. On this day, we can only be very, very thankful that that happened and that we came again under the umbrella of Viśvagurujī and our paramparā. So today, I was thinking, I was driving around seven hours from Croatia, and I was thinking, when I come here, what to say to Viśvagurujī, other than just "happy birthday"? What to wish for him? Because he already has everything. But two things we can say today, that we wish him really, really good, good health. Because we need him very, very much still. And, of course, the second thing, what every teacher should have, good disciples. So we can wish him good disciples, and that we can do. So, dear Viśvagurujī, thank you for everything. In the name of everybody, I really wish you good health and good disciples. Thank you. Now we have a very, very dear, and also long, long years disciple. And we can only thank and congratulate and make good halwa next time. And we can be very, very thankful. Really, we are thankful. And that is where we are sitting here. The Āśram Mahāprabhū Dīp Satsaṅg Foundation. So that is our dear Pārvatī. And she will speak in Czech. And our dear Prem Lata will translate in English. Praṇām Viśvagurujī, Hariom, dear brothers and sisters. On Friday, before the seminar started, something strange happened to me. And it never happened to me before, I think. I lit the candle before the meditation. After the meditation, the light went off, which is normal. It happens. And then I did my practice, sādhanā, and then I had breakfast, and it was all together about three hours. And I went back to my room, and I saw the light, the candle, again with the flame, and it was very bright. And I thought that probably it was lighted all the time, and I just did not notice that it is still there; there is a little flame. So I put it off again. And then I realized that it is not possible that it was burning all the time, because the ghee amount was the same. So I thought then that it is a symbol of delight that Viśvagurujī is bringing to us because it was his time to come, the light of wisdom, the light of love and understanding, and the light of unity. So I would like to thank you a lot for everything we get. Because without this light, we would not be able to orient ourselves in our lives. We would not know the aim and the purpose of our life. And so we are thankful for all of that, and I think that we all have the same experience, that life before meeting Viśva Gurujī was different, and now it is a clear path in front of us. Once I was attending one seminar, and there was one Indian president who is originally from India but living in the Czech Republic. And he told us that we are not aware of what we have in Viśvagurujī’s person. Because it is very rare to have a Gurudev, and to have such a Gurudev who is taking such care of us and for all our families, that it is really very rare, even in India. And thanks to our destiny, we got it here. Vishwagurujī also said recently during the satsaṅg that he has a diary producing milk. And that he has milk for millions of people. And there are many kinds of diaries. And this milk can be, they can put water into the milk. They can have various additives to the milk. And the procedure of how they make milk can be different. So we are happy that our nourishment by this milk is really a quality nourishment. And we have all that we need, and that is what we are thankful for. Yes, thank you, many, many. They come to Strelky, and then they go back. They hope that this time I will speak, and then again it does not happen, again going. Sometimes they give up. And again, he thinks, "This time I will definitely speak." And again, the day does not come, so I have to share my days with them. Also from far distance, very. Our dear Lakshmī from Italy. Padova. Praṇām Gurudev, your brothers and sisters. I am the last of the last and worst of the worst of the disciples. But I am very happy that I found God in the form of Gurudeva. And for more than 20 years, my holidays have been really to go and see Swāmījī everywhere, in Střílky or whatever. Please do not take me as an example, because I am the worst of the worst ones. But I would like to say, especially to the young people, and of course we are all young, including myself, 56 years old. Please keep on, keep on on your path, and you are very lucky. And spread also among the young people, because we need this very much nowadays. And to the old ones, really stay on the path, because God is a surprise. Gurudev is a miracle, and many people do not understand when we say, "Where have you been on holidays? I went to see God." Yes, you cannot even say it, but it is the truth. So, Mother Teresa of Calcutta used to say, "As far as you can run, then when you cannot run anymore, walk." And I feel very, very, very blessed, although I am the last of the last ones, and a little, not a flame, not even a torch, a match, not a torch, a little match, let us say. Indeed, I feel very, very blessed to be here with you, with all of you, and with Gurudev. And really, I send these Gurudevs, may these blessings go everywhere, to everyone, because this world really is beautiful and needs it so much, so very much. Grazie, Gurudev, with all my heart. Grazie for everything, really, grazie. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you very much, Guru Dev. Many distances, far distances coming. But to see from the Brahmaloka, the earth seems so small, like a small atom. So we are not from far. We are very close. But also from Poland, always people come, and they never get any chance to open their mouth. So please, from the Poland group, come. Okay, so I will translate the language, Polish. So, pranām Swāmījī, and I am very glad that I can say something. Pranām Swāmījī, my dear friends, I will speak Polish because it is easier for me. I think Cech understands Polish a little bit, OK? I always wanted to say something, but I was also very much afraid of speaking in public. I did not want to, actually, and I was afraid of it. But the time has come for me. On behalf of our small group, Yoga in Daily Life Poland, I would like to say something. Daya Mata said previously that Swamiji asked her to propagate the yogī life in China. And I understand her very well, because some years ago when I started to want to propagate yoga and dharma in Poland, I also wanted that people in Poland could get the love and light of Viśva Gurujī. And I understood it very well, because I also had the wish that people in Poland could perceive the light of Viśvagurujī and yoga in their daily life, and that they could have the love to meet him. Swamiji really did not tell me about it, but I feel that I am on the path, that this is my task, this is my dharma. Swamiji did not actually tell me this, but I feel it in my heart that this is my mission, my dharma, to do it, to propagate yoga and life in Poland. And I always believed that the best place to start was the heart of the country, and it was the capital, Warsaw. So I moved from the place where I was born to Warsaw to establish it. That is from where the light should spread. Poland is the heart, and the main city is Warsaw. So I moved from the place where I lived to Warsaw, and I started to work on it. I was also very afraid of it, but what happened, what has happened so far, is only the love of Viśva Gurude and the people I met there, and how it all started to develop and we started to meet, there were satsaṅgs, and I was also very much afraid of this journey and what happened. But very soon, many miracles happened, and people started to gather, and satsaṅg started to happen, and all this thing went further. And when we started to have satsaṅgs, it all came about as such miracles. And I am very grateful to Vishwaguru and Mahāprabhujī, that I managed to find there many great students. I managed to find there great people, great souls, who are students of Swāmī Jayā. And I am very glad and thank you to Swāmījī and Mahāprabhujī that I could find wonderful souls who became disciples of Swamiji, so that we can create and make such a group, so that we could spread the light together and create a beautiful group. So if you have a wish in your heart and love for God, for your Guru, then everything always starts to happen on its own. So if you want to do something good, you have to get rid of this fear. So if you have an honest wish, then you can always pray to Gurudev, and this thing is becoming a reality. Thank you, Swamijī, for this blessing and for your love. Yes, from Barcelona, somebody also came. And Yamunā sent the prasāda and so on. So, come from Barcelona, say some words. Not too long. Hello. So if I put the microphone now in my heart, it will be like, boom, boom, so hard. I was there, I was thinking, no, please, no, I do not want to talk, I do not want to talk. It seems like Viśva Gurujī reads your mind, you know. Today we are here as representatives of the Spanish group and the Spanish Bhaktas. Before I was on WhatsApp talking to the Spanish group and saying, "What is going on this morning with all the presents and this?" And the mobile phone started to burn, and they were saying, "Yeah, happy birthday, muchas felicidades to Swamiji." You know, they were in Spain, they are in Spain, but they wanted to be here with you. Although we are in Spain, we feel very close. We are very thankful to bring the light, the beautiful light, to Barcelona and to Spain. And I will also say, from the Cuban people and from people from Bolivia, there are also bhaktas there. Just to finish, I was thinking, which wish would be the best from my side? No, I would not talk from anyone. I just hope to bring a lot of work to Swāmījī. And also, Sarasvatī wants to say something. To tell you, Swamiji, that Sadhvī Yamunā, in every seminar, she is an instrument of you. She talks with, in every word, it is you talking through her. And for us, it is your presence in every, every, every seminar in Barcelona. And thank you very much. Thank you for giving us this opportunity, and muchas felicidades. Many blessings to all the doctors in Spain. Andrea Munay, especially for her health. Georgia. Good evening, everyone. What should I actually say? If I look at these people, you know, more or less they are from Europe, actually, yeah? So the culture is more or less not the same, but more or less something similar. But for example, if you would know the Georgian, actually in Georgia, in Georgian people, it is a totally different culture, a totally different language. So it was for me, for example, when Swāmījī first came to Georgia, I was kind of nervous how the people would actually take or welcome him. So it was three years ago, so four years ago. And it was four years ago. So, yeah, as I said, I was very nervous. It was in December, but when he came, it was, you know, when we, it was kind of raining, not snowing. So I just realized this whole situation, like, you know, the Swāmījī came first in Georgia, and kind of Amṛtā was falling down on this dry land. So everything went very well, and afterwards I was actually living for five years in the Czech Republic. And after that moment, when the Gurudev came to Georgia and really kind of started cultivating this land, you know, which was kind of dry. So I felt like myself inside to really come back to Georgia and really to continue his work, which he started there. Actually, which was quite a good decision for me, for my parents, for my relatives, and for all the people, for which I am very thankful to Gurudev and for everything which I am actually getting after I met him. So we are a few there; we are just five instructors, but we are trying really hard to deliver his message there. Thanks a lot, and once again, greetings for your birthday, Gurdjieff. Thank you very much. Yes, now comes from Ukraine. Yes, English speaker. Yes, all bhaktas from Ukraine congratulate you on your birthday, and everybody who could not come to your birthday and congratulate you, they wish you a very, very long and healthy life. And you know, many people in Ukraine, they cannot come because of the different situation in our country, in life. But the situation is like we are longing for you, as Mirabai was longing for Krishna, and people in Ukraine are really longing for your coming. And we did a lot of work, and for 10 to 14 years we opened a new, beautiful yoga center, and also we are waiting for you because we need the name of the yoga center for the Ashram. So, thank you for your work in Ukraine, for your inspiring of people, not only in Ukraine, but all over the world, and we wish you all the best, best, best. že pro nás pracuješ, děkujeme ti za inspiraci, and not only for people in Ukraine, but all over the world. And we wish you all the best. Thank you. Many blessings to all. And all the speakers were good. And now, all parents and children, and people who are above 75, please proceed and find your shoes. Thank you. And today’s program is finished. Thank you. Today’s program is finished.
