Dreams are your reality

Dreams reveal your inner reality. The Supreme, though unseen, dwells within your heart as a spark of light. Realizing this requires cultivating spiritual qualities like truth and humility while denying negativity. Your present thoughts are seeds determining future experiences across lives. What you call reality is as fleeting as a dream, a play of consciousness. Relationships shape your inner peace; hidden emotional blockages possess immense power. A harmonious partnership is a merging of souls for life's journey. Waking life and dream experiences are both layers of your conscious reality.

"Your hidden power has immense energy, and that can move everything."

"Therefore, on this planet, there is no reality. We will come and we will go, and we will experience our own reality. And that’s called a dream."

Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, Alak Purījī Mahādeva, Sanātana. Whenever we have a good opportunity, especially satsaṅg, it is the guidance of the Supreme One. The Supreme One has many different ways to bless us, guide us, and protect us. What we call it is a blessing. That blessing we may call mercy. That mercy we may call Dayā. And the dayā, we may call it kindness. The Supreme One—we cannot see Him because He is in Nirguṇa. But He is dwelling in our body, mind, intellect, awareness, and our consciousness. The source of that Supreme is in the middle of our heart, and there is that light sparkling. We shall discover this light in our heart. We can realize what God is in our heart and in our consciousness. God is different than our imagination. God is different than this physical manifestation. It appears, it comes to them, those who are humble ones. Humble is good thinking, thinking good for others, supporting others. That God will uplift them. And those who are thinking negatively, working negatively, talking negatively, etc., they will always go down and down. You may think that you are the best one, but we are not. Those who have negative thoughts, life is different. God has given us that life so that we can become one with Him. But there is a big distance: the distance of the quality. That quality is the way to God—the spiritual quality where there is truth, where there is humbleness, where there is kindness, where there is forgiveness, supporting, protecting every creature, etc., etc. As many positive qualities as we develop, and as many negative thoughts, actions, and words we shall deny, automatically we are rising in the light of God, like the sun rises in the darkness. What we call the dream is your reality. You cannot lie in the dream. The dream is that level of consciousness where your reality is manifesting. So the dreams can be from past lives, and they can come as an indication for the future life. Which are our desires, our fear, our greed, our happiness, joy, imagination—whatever we are feeling is manifesting in the form of dreams. And at the present, what we are having, the activities are recorded in our subconsciousness, and that will go with us for many, many lives. So the present life is the fruit of the future life. We put a seed today in the earth, and the fruits will come a long time after. Maybe we are not here physically in this world, but the fruits of that seed which we put in the soil will come to you. You will realize, you will enjoy, or you will suffer. So here, seed means our thoughts. And it’s very hard to stop our thoughts, because what we think is very hidden from others. That is one of the problems of humans. When someone comes to you and speaks very kindly, very humbly, but in reality, it is a different thinking, different feelings and different aims, and that is the reality. Not what you speak, or someone speaks sweet words to us. We call that Mukherām and Bāgil Meṣrī. In the words, in the mouth, you have the name of God, but in your armpit, you have a knife. That’s it. So the dream is our reality. You know this story, and I will repeat it again. One couple went for a walk in a beautiful market, and there was a very good, famous ice cream shop. So the husband and wife were walking, passing by; they were doing window shopping. When the man saw the ice cream shop, he asked if he could invite his wife for ice cream. So he asked her, "Can we have ice cream?" She was a good wife, a good lady. She said, "Yes, dear, of course. Thank you. Nice of you. But remember that you have a problem with the throat. You are a good singer, and the doctor said that you should not eat anything cold and not drink anything cold for a few weeks or months. We shall wait. When you are healthy, then we can do it." Well, he said, "OK, thank you. It’s nice of you to think about my health." This is a mutual understanding among couples. We should support each other and answer positively always. She did not say, "Are you stupid? You are crazy. You know what the doctor told you? You forget. I’m not going to give you ice cream, and I’m not going to go with you." This is also kind of words, but the husband was not so happy. So this is it: both sides should be balanced. The couple, husband and wife, are lifelong supporters for each other. Parents will become old, they will pass away. Neighbors will also, and you jump in the ocean of this world. But you have one who is always with you, in the good situation and bad situation. It’s like one bird has two wings. And these two wings are for the birds to fly. When one wing is ill or someone cuts it off, that bird cannot fly. Similarly, the inner self should become one, and that’s why in English words it is said, "marriage." I don’t know what you say in your language, but merge, it means merge, marriage, marriage. Two rivers merge into one. And that one river, or both rivers, merge into the ocean. And so, to have your wife or your husband is not for your emotional contentment. But it’s a lifelong. It’s always in happiness and unhappiness, pain and pleasure. Age doesn’t matter, old or young. That one who gave you the word should remain together. That soul has the straight highway, and it is escorted by divine light for both of them. If the husband dies first, after some time she will die too, or if the wife dies, the husband also will die. The one bird flies away, and after a few minutes or seconds, the other birds also fly away in the same direction. And so this is your dream, which gives you realization. So dream is your reality. What relation do you have with your parents, with your house pets, with the neighbors, with your brothers, sisters, and with your partner? This all is responsible for your health, for peace of your mind, and that can solve the psychic problem. Otherwise, the psychic problem is there because that is hidden in the unconsciousness. And then it is like one part of the river is dried, or blocked, what we call the dam. Blocked by emotions. But one day, that dam will break. If not with the water, then with the earthquake. You know how much strength the earthquake has? It moves the whole ocean. It moves the whole mountains, the earth. You know how much power is inside? And that is within you. Your hidden power has immense energy, and that can move everything. Therefore, always calmness, calmness, relaxed. Well, they went home, and that man was sorry that he couldn’t get ice cream. After a few days, he dreamed of the ice cream. In the dream, he is going with his wife again to the same market, and he is healthy now. And his wife invites him for ice cream, and he is so happy. They ordered the ice cream, and he was the first one. He took the spoon and brought it near his lips, and the alarm was ringing. No spoon. No ice cream bowl. Dark room. A snoring wife beside. That is called dream is your reality. Likewise, sometimes this situation repeats: memories in the dream or memories during the daytime, like going through the market, create a psychic problem. So it will come several times in your feelings, in different ways. Then, inwardly, you will create distance from your partner. Then he’s searching for something different, but be sure: whatever you search for, that will bring you more disappointment than this one. This one was kind to you, but the other one will not be. Again, you will be disappointed and go somewhere else, and you lose the beautiful human quality, a human life, and so one dies. But these emotional feelings hidden in the subconscious, you can’t take anything material with you. But these subtle things in feelings go with you, not as pleasure, but in the suffering way. Or if it’s beautiful and good, it goes with you. It is said sometimes you meet your ancestors, you meet your family; it is imagination. They are not existing in the astral world anymore. They went to their destiny, their kismat, and they are born again, maybe born in another life—not the humans. So even animals remember their past feelings, dreams. So dream is your reality. And the time of the dream is unbelievable, how quick. There is one story that one man was praying and asked the Lord Śiva, "Śiva, how long is the life? How long is one life?" He said, "Well, it is different." But what is the time? Do I live with the time or not? Yeah, that is a different time. And what is that? So he said, "Okay, let’s go swim in the beautiful lake." And Śiva is sitting in the temple, so the man went for swimming. And he dived into the water. And now he suddenly felt that he died, so he died. And he was born somewhere as a farmer. And he lived a very long, happy life with very good children. And he became old and died. Then he was again born in the king’s family. He became the king and enjoyed his kingdom. He was like a father to the whole folk, and he enjoyed giving happiness, love, and comfort to his people. He becomes ill, old, people are sad, he dies. Then he was born as a buffalo, and he was suffering as a buffalo in Africa. And then again he died. So like this, he repeated quite a few incarnations, and then he comes out of the water. And that was happening in 20 seconds. He comes back. Śiva said, "You came out so quickly." He said, "My Lord, I can’t understand. What happened to me?" Śiva said, that is a māyā. Because you asked me the time and the life. So it was just like a glimpse of life coming and going. So there are different lives. Similarly, then he went to work in his field. He had a good family. And at lunchtime, he was just lying down, and he was dreaming. He became the king again and had a good few children. His queen and his people were very happy, and someone came and woke him up. That was about a twenty-minute, ten-minute dream. He slept. Someone came in and woke him up. He wakes up. No kingdom, no children, no queen. He sees his farm, and the man said, "Please come home." He said, "Why, what happened?" He says, "It’s good you come home." So he went home, and what happened? He had only one child, and it died. That’s why they called him home. Everyone was sad. Only one child in the family. People were crying, and he’s sitting there. And he’s thinking, sitting like this. People thought he got a shock. He lost his consciousness. So someone asked, "Did you realize that your son died?" He said, "Yes, yes." You are not sad. He said, "Yes. But you know, just now I lost my ten children. Should I cry first for them or for this?" Then he told the whole dream, so you woke me up. And my family was like dead. The kingdom was gone. And now this one child died. So I’m thinking, am I dreaming now, or was that a dream? Which life is that? Maybe this is a life, and that is a dream. Or that was a life, and this is a dream. Therefore, on this planet, there is no reality. We will come and we will go, and we will experience our own reality. And that’s called a dream. How we can master this, how we can come clear, and there is—it’s called the play in the consciousness. The dream becomes the play in the consciousness, and that we will talk about next time. Om Śiva Śiva Om Śiva Śiva Śiva Śiva...
