Guided Self-Inquiry Meditation
Guided self-inquiry meditation begins with relaxation and mantra resonance.
Sit upright. Close the eyes. Feel the body relaxed.
Chant Oṁ three times. The resonance moves from navel to throat to Sahasrāra.
It reverberates through the head and every cell, then expands into space.
Send positive, spiritual, harmonious vibrations with the Oṁ chantings.
Relax each limb. Observe thoughts. Analyze their necessity now.
Turn toward the Ātmā within. Feel the body from toes to crown and back.
Analyze the five bodies: Annamaya Kośa, Prāṇamaya Kośa, Manomaya Kośa, Vijñānamaya Kośa, and Ānandamaya Kośa.
Between these resides the Ātmā. Be aware of deep stillness.
With breath, a light moves up and down from body to Sahasrāra as mantra.
See the body from outside with closed eyes in the cidākāśa.
Observe all five bodies one after another.
From the heart, a flame emerges into a dark blue space.
The mental body sees; the flame’s sound is So’ham.
Hold the mantra to avoid getting lost. The light illuminates all space.
All five bodies merge into the Ātmā’s light.
The mantra is the only path to return and go further.
The light returns to the heart as bliss, peace, harmony, fearlessness.
Bow down, touch the forehead to the ground, feel circulation and chakras.
Slowly come up and open the eyes.
"Hold on to your mantra, otherwise you will get lost."
"So’ham, the sound resonance, So’ham."
