Meditation from Strilky

A guide to self-enquiry meditation through the observation of the five bodies and the mantra So'haṁ. Settle comfortably with a straight spine. Chant Oṁ to send positive vibrations into space. Withdraw awareness from the external world and observe your thoughts, asking if they are necessary. Systematically feel and analyze the five sheaths: the physical, energetic, mental, intellectual, and bliss bodies. The Self resides within these. Visualize observing your own form from the front through the inner eye. See a flame emerge from the heart into a dark blue space. Hear the sound So'haṁ from this flame. The personal form dissolves into a bright, milky light as all five bodies merge into the light of the Self. Hold to the mantra as the guiding path. Realize "I am that" in the form of So'haṁ, culminating in bliss and fearlessness. Conclude with conscious breathing, chanting, and a bow.

"Between these five bodies resides your Ātmā, your Self."

"Your own form is also disappearing. And your form, your appearance is vanishing."

Adjust yourself comfortably. Always use your mālā in meditation. Make yourself comfortable in such a way that you will not feel discomfort. Sit straight upright and close your eyes. Feel your whole body. It is relaxed. Now we will first chant Oṁ three times. From the navel to the throat, and from the throat to the Sahasrāra. The Oṁ resonance, which is resonating in your whole head, also transfers to each and every cell of the body. After that, the sound is going into the space. What kind of energy, what kind of thoughts you will send, it will meet you sometime. Therefore, positive, spiritual, harmonious, and peaceful vibrations are sent with our Oṁ-chantings. So close your eyes. Take one inhale and exhale, and a deep inhale. Oh, harmony, divine light, and feeling of the divine Ātmā within thyself. Ātmānabhūti, or self-inquiry: withdraw from the external world, be aware, be yourself. In this hall, feel comfortable. Relax each and every limb of the body, and be aware of your thoughts. Just observe your thinking. What kind of thoughts do you have? Analyze that and ask yourself, "Are these thoughts necessary to have now?" Go towards your Ātmā, that Supreme which is within thyself. Feel your body from the toes to the top of the head, and from the top of the head to the toes. Try to analyze, or try to feel, or try to think of all your five bodies: Annamaya Kośa, the body of nourishment; Prāṇamaya Kośa, the prāṇas; Manomaya Kośa, your thoughts, all thoughts, the mental body; Vijñānamaya Kośa, the body of your intellect, your knowledge; and Ānandamaya Kośa, the causal body. Between these five bodies resides your Ātmā, your Self. Relax. Be aware of the most laziness of the body. Kāyā is the physical, the most external aspect of the body. Feel your breath. With the ascending and descending breath, there is light moving up and down. With inhalation and exhalation, the light is moving up and down from your body to your head, to the Sahasrāra. That light is moving in the form of your mantra. Try to see your body from outside with closed eyes. Imagine that you are sitting or standing in front of your body. All step by step. Try to see your body with your third eye, meaning the head, eyebrows, and Chidākāśa, where there is your inner eye. You see in your Chidākāśa all the five bodies, one after the other: Annamaya Kośa, Prāṇamaya Kośa, Vijñānamaya Kośa, and Ānandamaya Kośa. Analyze your physical body, subtle body, and all your mental and knowledge, etc., Vijñānamaya Kośa. Observe thyself from the front side. With closed eyes, you are in meditation, you are in the Chidākāśa, you are standing far from your body. Ātmā bhūti, self-inquiry. From your chest, where the heart is, visualize and imagine that a flame is coming from your heart. And this flame is going, being in a beautiful dark blue space. And you are with this, you see that. The mind, the mental body is seeing, and Vijñānamaya Kośa is as Ātmā in the form of that light. Hold on to your mantras; otherwise, you will get lost. That flame which is going far, and you hear the sound from the flame: So'haṁ. So'haṁ. All you are hearing, ślýšite ho. Your mantra is leading you, vaše mantra vás vede, that your own light which came out of your body is illuminating the whole space in very bright white light, like a fog. Světlo. It is not any concrete point. Only light. Jenom světlo. And So'haṁ. A So'haṁ. Your own form is also disappearing. And your form, your appearance is vanishing. You try to look at your hands, but you do not see. All is like a fog, like light, milky light. It means all the five bodies, all the five tattvas, everything is merging into this Ātmā, the light of the Ātmā. That means that all five bodies, all five tathās, all five plinths are connected with your Ātmā, with the light of your Ātmā. So'haṁ, the sound resonance, So'haṁ. Hold on to your mantra. That is the only path to come back or go further. Mostly, full of awareness, full of peace and harmony, the light. So'haṁ, I am that which I am. Ātmānabhūti, self-inquiry, self-realization, know thyself, this Ātmā in the form of the So'haṁ. Manifest it, your visions, to feel your five bodies. And let this light come into the heart in the form of Ānanda, bliss. Peace, harmony, blessing, fearlessness. I am the Self, Ātmā. I am this I, I am the Ātmā. So'haṁ. Breathe consciously in and out. Arad So'haṁ. Ascending, descending breath. Feel the purity. Chanting Oṁ. Oṁ three times. Deep inhale and exhale. Prepare yourself for the Oṁ chanting. Inhale. Become aware of the external world, feed your body, punch tattva, and punch kuśa, and chant the mantra: Ānandoham, Ānandoham, Ānandam, Brahmanandam, Doha. Satchidānanda. Oṁ Satchidānanda. Oṁ Satchidānanda.... Nanda. Oṁ Satchidānandoham. Fold your hands. Sitā, Śa, Śa... Rub your palms, place the hands on your face, open your eyes, and bow down. Place your hands on the floor, touch your forehead to the ground, and feel the circulation towards the head, face, all the Jñānendriyas. Feel the stretching of your back muscles, feel your chakras in your spinal column, and slowly come up with open eyes. Adio, bless you.
