Everything is created by sound

Yoga is the union and harmonization of body, mind, and spirit. The ancient wisdom of the Vedas reveals that creation emerged from divine sound, the primal resonance of Aum. This sound manifests as light and then as the entire cosmos, including the human form. The body is a perfect creation, engineered with intricate systems and controlled through energy centers known as chakras. Each chakra, symbolized as a lotus, contains specific resonances and seed mantras that govern its function. The ultimate reality is the formless, eternal Brahman, which resides within all beings. Self-realization is the process of understanding one's own body, mind, and emotions, leading to the awareness of this inner divinity. True yoga practice cultivates non-violence, peace, and health in daily life, balancing one's being and actions to avoid causing harm, as every action returns like a boomerang.

"The Sanskrit alphabet is called Devanāgarī. Deva is God, and Nagarī means a citizen—a citizen of the divine world."

"Yoga means uniting, balancing, and harmonizing body, mind, and intellect."

Once again, good evening, dear friends, dear brothers and sisters. Viśvagurujīho Paramahaṁsavāmīho Maheśvarānandu. Let me welcome, on behalf of all and in the name of Yoga in Daily Life by Friedrich Miestek, our dear guest, Vishwagurujī. Vishwagurujī has been coming to our country for 45 years, I think. It was already in that country, in Czechoslovakia, that the system Yoga in Daily Life was created. It is a complex and scientific system, and we can say it is basically based on the same principles as rehabilitation. The system Yoga in Daily Life helps many people, healthy as well as ill. Today it is spread all over the world and in many cities of the Czech and Slovak Republics. I have mentioned the physical part of yoga, but I would like to stress also its mental, social, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Swamiji has been coming here for 45 years, and his topic was always yoga. We are so happy that he has accepted our invitation and that we can have a lecture on this topic again. And now, I would like to give the word to Swāmījī. Oh, nice, thank you. These are the winter roses, no? I see. The Czech Republic has nice roses. Prosím. Thank you. First, we will have some mantra. I will tell about mantra afterwards. But literally, mantra harmonizes the atmosphere. It removes the negative energy and spreads the divine blessings to everyone. Well, I see many faces that I know. So first we will chant Aum three times. Make yourselves comfortable and concentrate on your navel. The sound begins from the navel, ascending towards the whole brain, and descending through the whole body. So you may experience—close your eyes and chant with me three times. I think you people know about Aum. Your country is very advanced in spirituality. So, close your eyes and relax the body. Take one deep inhale and exhale. Sit straight. Deep inhale, and then chant with me. Oh, inhale, deep inhale. Aum. Aum. Aum. Peace. Open your eyes, dear sisters and brothers. Welcome, and very nice to see you. Our program began with beautiful music. Náš. It was nice. So let’s begin with that kind of subject. What does the concert mean? The music. Music has a deep connection with yoga. In the old Vedas—the Vedas are very ancient; they are the first scriptures in the world—there is immense wisdom. It was Yuga’s and Yuga’s pastoral. And from that comes the one language, which is the mother language of almost all the world’s languages. That’s called Sanskrit. That alphabet is not only created by the human brain, but it is coming through meditation. In meditation, the alphabet appears in the astral world. The Sanskrit alphabet is called Devanāgarī. Deva is God, and Nagarī means a citizen—a citizen of the divine world. And these alphabets are visible in the human body, in the so-called chakras and kuṇḍalinī. Maybe you have heard, or maybe someone has heard for the first time. Symbolically, methodologically, the pictures that are given are called the lotus. Lotus is the king of the flowers, so each chakra is known as a lotus. For example, Mūlādhāra. And mūla means the roots. That is the first chakra. And kamala means lotus, which has four petals. Then comes Svādhiṣṭhāna, Maṇipūra, Anāhata, Viśuddhi, Ājñā, Bindu, Sahasrāra. So, number-wise, these are the chakras. Now, from these petals, every petal has a very particular resonance. So the Mūlādhāra Chakra has four petals; each petal has a particular resonance, and there is the one alphabet. So, out of these four petals, there is the seed sound. This is called bīja mantra. And that is controlling; that also has a resonance. And from this one mantra, which is in the heart of the lotus, it creates four different resonances. Like from one seed, the sprout comes out, the trunk of the tree, the branches, leaves, blossoms, fruits, and the seeds. So is the continuity. So we come to this subject further. So similarly, Maṇipūra Chakra. Maṇipūra, maṇi means the navel, and from there our body’s construction begins. From that place, as it were, the construction of the human body begins. It may be called God, or it may be called Mother, or it may be called Nature; we don’t know. But that is called the cosmic engineer who has manifested this physical body, not only in the human body, but in every creature. There are 8.4 million different kinds of creatures. And out of 8.4 million, one is the human. So we had to wait. And where were we waiting? In the mother’s body. So how many engineers must be there? Because in nine months, they have to give a complete embodiment of the human. It must be perfect, and it has been tested. You know, we call it OK. Yeah, OK. So, where did the word "OK" come from? I think it came from a car company in Michigan. And there, when they made the cars, then one had to give; everything is correct. All is correct, but this was the name of one Austrian, near Germany or in Germany, but it was, okay? I think his exact name is Oswald Karel, so his signature was Oswald O and the Karel K. So it was said, okay. It means everything is checked. All is perfect. And so he said, "OK." And now, "OK" has become a very common word everywhere. We don’t know. Many don’t know why we said, "OK." Like similar, the first inventor of the telephone was a Hungarian. And they were testing from a far distance, and they were calling, "Do you hear me?" So, if there is some Hungarian sitting here who can tell more about this, but as far as I know—hello, do you hear me? And that became the language of the telephone. Everyone says, "Hello." It means, do you hear me? So similarly, in our human body, we became old in our mother’s body. Nine months old, then we were born. But the nine months were a challenge. How many electric wires, nerves? Organs, glands, joints, brain, eyes, everything. Everything. Can you imagine if they make a mistake? One eye is here, another eye is here. Or one up and one down? God, engineers, whatever you call it, but it is perfect. Perfect. And that’s called yoga: uniting, harmonizing, and balancing. And this is our body, symbolically, yoga. And so, each chakra has its power to control the whole body. And so, what they call kuṇḍalinī, it is not like that kuṇḍalinī goes through the spinal column like a cobra. Or some say, "Oh, there is some vibration through the spine column, immediately you should go." To some doctor, what is happening with your spinal column? So there are many stories, but the reality is different. Self-realization—what means self-realization? It will come in the last minutes of life. If at the beginning you already get a self-realization, it will not be easy. So, self-realization means realize thyself: your body, your mind, your emotions, your intellect, your behaviors, everything. Your emotions, your thoughts, everything, and that controls. So all is beginning at the navel. So the navel is the center point of our body. And if somebody asks you, where is the middle point of the universe? Navel. Not here. That is coming after. So, as holy, what we call a holy heart—before that is the divine cosmic heart. And that is, the Vedas say, not the Roop Parabrahma. If you want to know how is God, the Supreme—we didn’t see Him. We trust, we believe, and we think it’s good what we believe. But who has sinned? That one is called Nirākār, without form, everlasting, immortal, a khaṇḍ, no one can break. So that is called Brahman. And how to know that? So that is called the sound, resonance. Not the root of Parabrahma, and therefore that sound is the Parabrahma. Everything is created by the sound. And so it is said. Anant Brahmāṇḍ, endless universe, one after another sun systems, millions, billions of suns. It is said, Chaudalok Ikiso Brahmāṇḍ, a yogī, a perfect yogī, who has renounced everything and sits somewhere in the Himālaya or somewhere, we don’t know. And they send us the information. They can reach or go beyond 2,100 solar systems. It is written in those ancient literatures. Fourteen different worlds in our sun system. Ikṣo brahman. So, 2,100 beyond different suns. How hard they worked. Then they brought this science of creation to one planet. But we don’t call in the Jyotiṣ, or what we’ll call in the Jyotiṣ astrology—Earth is not a planet. There are nine planets, but not the Earth. Earth is called the world, and this is called a mortal world. It means everyone who is coming has to come here on the earth. And whoever comes on the earth has to go back again. So that’s why it’s called the mortal world. No one becomes immortal here. Sooner or later, you have to go. So the message will bring that you have to come. So we are not forever dominating here. We cannot. This world is like a podium, and no one can forever play the theatre on this podium. The theatre will be finished. Other players will come, so it’s called eight point four million different creatures. Let’s say mosquitoes. We don’t know how many millions, trillions of mosquitoes are in the world. But there’s only one that’s called a mosquito. Similarly, a human is a human. We cannot divide as a race. Maybe it’s from China, or Japan, or Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, wherever the humans are, it’s called human. So we are human, only one. Likewise, there are 8.4 million different creatures created by one creator through the sound. And at that time, he said this was Anant, endless, endless universe. Dark blue space. No movements. No one, nothing, no objects. You see, if we go so far, our earth is like one atom. So there it is said, "It is, oh God, thy will will be seen." So who was that one? And what he said in the Vedas: "I am one." So there is only one God. May come the energy of God in the human body, or maybe in animals too. But that Brahman, that highest supreme, has no form. But still, someone says, "I am one, and now I will multiply." It took millions of years, making one thought. Of that Supreme, it takes ages, while closing eyes of the Supreme takes many, many ages. According to the Vedānta philosophy, and in Vedānta, it is according to the Vedas, the time is counted. Otherwise, there is no time. Who created time? What is time? There is no time, but we humans divide it. Otherwise, it is said, one without second, one without second, everlasting. So he said, "Ekoham bhau shyāmī," I am only one, and now I multiply. But how? Where? But he must know. That’s why he had this desire or wish. So the first resonance was the Veda said, "OM." Which we were chanting, OM: A-U-M. And from this sound comes the light. That’s called the Jyoti Prakāś light. And from that light manifests Himself, the Supreme One, who has no mother, no father, no brother, no sister, no relatives, nothing. In the endless universe, he manifests himself. That’s called Svayam Bhū, who manifests himself as a human body. Then begins everything. I will not tell you the whole story. So different lives begin, one after the other. And that comes as a yoga first. So yoga means uniting, balancing, and harmonizing body, mind, and intellect. These three are balancing our body, and that’s why we said that within me is God. Which God? Again, a question. So it is that one eternal, everlasting, without form, as a light, as love, or as energy, sitting in our body. We make this thing in the heart, but we don’t know where it is. When a little mosquito bites on a small toe, our whole body knows immediately. So where is he? Well, I try to tell sometimes something to make clear where that hidden one is in our body. Where it is hidden in our body, so we will make an experiment. So I will ask you, wait a minute, yes? I will ask you to raise your index finger, your right index finger, up like this. Then you will close your eyes. And I will tell you where is God or where is your Ātmā. When somebody tells you, "Who said? I said. Whom belongs this telephone? My means," that you have to indicate your hand as "my is me," or you anything. So when you say "your," then you are not touching your body. You say this is your place, or it’s my place. I will not tell you where you will touch. You should know where you are. Rozumíš. Dobre. So now close your eyes and don’t open your eyes, otherwise the experiment will not be successful. You will lose it. It’s a pity. You came from far distances. You walked so many staircases up. How much work you have done, so don’t open your eyes. I will tell you, now you can open. So raise your hands up and close your eyes. And one index finger, only one hand. Close your fist and open, indicate your index fingers towards the ceiling, eyes closed. Don’t open. We have to fly blind, our aeroplane. You know, the pilot had to drive flight blind. A pilot, when he flies, is basically blind. Because the front window is closed. So you are now a blind driver. And now, a pilot. Hands up. Ruce nahoru. Now, I will ask, to whom does this telephone belong? And you touch your finger to your body where you always said, "It’s mine, it’s me, it is I." So touch your finger on your body. Just touch it; don’t be uncertain. Open your eyes, you have lost it. Those who have opened their eyes have lost. Touch your finger where you will do. Now, don’t open your eyes. Now, look to your finger where it is. Don’t move the finger. Where is your finger? Look to your finger, and now look to the neighbors where it is. Neighbors’ fingers. Five percent of people lost. Always uncertain, opening eyes. This lady, this man, this man, uncertain. Either you didn’t understand my language, or you were uncertain, or you were afraid, or you did not know what to do. Thank you. So it means that supreme, we don’t know how many billions, trillions of the yugas, who said, "I am one, and now I multiply." What does it mean to multiply? Though there are endless, uncountable creatures here on Earth, he is still in everyone. In a small ant, he is also in that creature. How is that engineer who created a small, tiny ant? Even we can’t see her nose, but she can smell how many meters far. She can see, she can walk, she has fear. Everything God has created, this small ant, but all technology is inside; the mechanism is inside. O man, why are you so proud of yourself that you are the highest one? Who said that you are the highest one? O man, this is your pride. It’s your ignorance. Who are you to destroy the creation of the Creator? If you can’t give, you can’t take away. But out of 8.4 million creatures, God gave a powerful tool to the humans, and that’s intellect. This intellect develops through education, and the best education is in parents’ laps, then further studying in schools, universities, colleges, etc. Without doubt, in this time, the humans are more developed in intellect, but as far as too much intellectual development, they are distanced from their own self. They have distance from what we call our creator, our dear father. Finally, he sent us as a human to get liberation, this means finished this coming, going, coming, going. Life in the mother’s womb or in the egg is not easy. But after being born, life is also not so easy. Life is not easy, but death is also not easy. Death is not so easy, but more than that, what will happen with your soul? Father and mother, they can give us birth, but they can’t give us destiny. It’s our own action, the karma. So in every country, we have spirituality, so we call it religion. And in religion, there is this predicted or taught more about God. And that we can also manifest it in our hearts. Yoga is beyond that. But why do we want to live long? The question. We don’t want to die, even when we are 100 years old. And now it brings us to the hospital. And these old persons, please doctor, give me medicine. I feel more pain. Save my life. For what? For what do you want to save your life? We don’t want to go out of this house. This is a different subject again. So yoga, exercises—that’s it. It’s called the cosmic dance. Yoga means that you feel your body. You love your body, and your body becomes capable of helping others. We are not born here to play the theater of the acrobatic. Balance the body, balance the breath, balance your awareness, balance your consciousness. Be aware of yourself. When you get up, say to yourself, "I am human." When we become aware that I am a human, then we will not do bad things. And if someone is doing something bad, killing someone, he said, "Oh, it’s not human." Or in your languages here, in this Christianity, they say, "Oh, that’s not Christian." So, it means you don’t trust this God. So Jesus let himself be crucified, but not others. And so yoga balances our body, mind, and our awareness to protect and to love this beautiful world that can bring peace. Now, in many families, there is no peace, no harmony. How many times have you been disappointed? How many times have you been divorced? How many times have you had many difficulties? There is no peace. So yoga is a path of non-violence and peace. Do not violent thyself, and do not violent others. So practice harmonized yoga, what we call yoga in daily life. Very simple movements, but powerful. The best doctor, dentist, when he gives you an injection in the mouth, our heart is burning like that. But that doctor has such fine hands, you hardly feel that needle went in. So, operation very smoothly. Similarly, we shall be in that way, that we do not cause pain to anyone. Gentle exercises where it means all organs, all glands, all muscles, all nerves, all joints, and you are being happy. Nowadays, there is one word called wellness. So what is wellness? Last week I was in Kroměříž, and there was a vegetarian conference, and one of the speakers said, "Wellness means non-violence, so no violence towards thyself, nor violence towards others." So, nearly three generations of the fourth generation of the Republic of Czech are practicing yoga in daily life. Which village is there? Hardly to know. In which village are there no practitioners of yoga in daily life? Even we don’t know. I don’t know. The organizers don’t know, but in any village you will see some practice of yoga in their life. I wish you very, very good health. I always mention one professor or one scientist who said this, that health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health. Therefore, yoga in daily life has its slogan: Yoga in daily life for physical, mental, social, and spiritual health. Live a happy life, lifelong and healthy. Then the last minutes will be given as self-realization. It’s not so easy. Still, we did not realize ourselves. When we have pain somewhere, we don’t know. We go to the doctor and say, "Doctor, I have pain here." What is that? And the doctor will say, "You are not self-realized." Not about my body. Then realize, first, your body. Then you come to different levels. So, my dear ones, I wish you good health, healthy, happy, harmonious, and long life. God bless you. Om Śānti Śānti... So this mantra, our great master Bhagavān Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī, you see on the picture—in how many households is he sitting? Millions of people. And he said, "Don’t be in a hurry, and just understand yourself." Mahāprabhujī said, "Love each and every entity, if not more, then at least that much, as much as you love thyself." Don’t cause pain to anyone, that will come back to you. That’s called the destiny. So karma is going around. So in Australia, that’s called a boomerang, and when they throw it like this, it comes back to you. So the good person who has training throws, and that comes back to his hand. So whatever we do, it will come back to us. So Mahāprabhujī said, "Do not cause pain to any creature." Shrī Dīpnā Bhagavān Kī Om Śānti, Śānti. Wish you all the best, and good evening. Nice to see you. And practice every day. Your very pleasure, soft, gentle exercises of yoga in their life. So the chakra, navel—we will continue tomorrow, somewhere, and so on. As God’s divine blessings, I will come again. But it’s in his hands. God bless you. Jai Nām Bā. Adio.
