Svargaloka

Kali Yuga is the age of karma and the path to liberation. All action is karma, and karma is the primary substance of human life. Every physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual activity is karma. This entire era is one of Karma Yoga, where all are engaged in work, becoming slaves to labor and gold. One cannot be free from action; even breathing is karma. Liberation is achieved through performing this karma skillfully and positively, cultivating non-violence in thought and deed. This positive karma leads to security and happiness. The practice culminates in yoga, the union of the individual soul with the Supreme. This realization generates an inner fire that burns away all karmas. The sole hope in this age is the repetition of the divine name through mantra, which provides the essence for crossing this yuga. Ayurveda is the supporting knowledge that prolongs life for this spiritual purpose.

"Yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam."

"Kali Yuga is only crossed through Bhakti Yoga, through mantra."

Āyurveda and Yoga—there are only these two things. Everything is based on these two things: Āyurveda and Yoga. Whatever you do is Yoga. Whatever you think, whatever you read, whatever work you do, exercising or meditating, everything is yoga. This Kali Yuga is a Karma Yoga. Everyone is employed. And whoever is not employed is very unhappy, searching for work. In old days there were slaves, but not the majority; now slavery is the majority. Only the name is changed: employer and unemployed. The employer is a slave, and the unemployed is free, but they are not happy. They would like to be slaves too. "Slave" means work. Any kind of work you do is Karma Yoga. So, whether you say slave, worker, employer, or Karma Yoga—it is the same. What kind of work you are doing, that kind of fruits you will get. For more about Karma Yoga, read the third chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā. It is said yoga, the yoga practice, will be successful through doing karma. Whatever is happening through our body, emotion, intellect, and awareness or consciousness is called action, and action is karma. Positive or negative? Karma is pradhāna in human life. Pradhāna means the priority. Karma means the day in human life—the best, the major activities. So, yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam. It is written in the Karmayoga chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā. Physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual—whatever is happening through us is karma. When we have a majority on the positive side, for example, Ahiṃsā and Hiṃsā. Ahiṃsā means non-violence, and Hiṃsā is violence. Ahiṃsā paramo dharma—the highest principle is Ahiṃsā, non-violence. So violence must not be only physical, but also mental. When mentally you have killed someone, you did it already. If we think negative, we did it already. So, physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, political, social, etc. In eating also, cooking also, cleaning the plates and dishes also, washing laundry also—karma. Inhaling is karma, and exhaling is karma. So the whole of our being is action. Therefore, what we should produce in our actions is positive, spiritual. Then the yoga is successful. Through this karma, which we said at the beginning is our behavior, our being, our attitude, our way of thinking—that supports us to realize yoga. Physical exercise is karma. Mental exercise is karma. Prāṇāyāma is karma. Kriyā means karma. Meditation is karma. Mantra, doing, practicing is a karma. Sleeping is a karma. So you cannot be free from karma. Sleeping, awakening, dreaming are karma. This soul has no space to escape. So Kali Yuga is complete as a Karma Yuga. If you, or I, are successful in the karma, then we come to liberation. Positive karma—ahiṃsā, non-violence—or negative karma—that’s called violence. Non-violence gives us security, freedom, happiness, without fear, without anxiety. We cannot even see with our eyes or hear from our ears the violence. So non-violence makes a happy, healthy, free, and peaceful society. So yoga is karma; therefore, yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam. What is yoga? Yoga means the union of the Jīvātmā to the Paramātmā. Yoga means union, oneness. We reached; we came to our destination. What we do is not yoga; it is not a destination. It is the way, the path. So someone realized through Kriya Yoga, some through meditation, some through Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Mantra Yoga, etc. But yoga is that when we become one with the Supreme. How? Like one drop of water falls in the ocean; then you cannot catch that drop anymore because it merges into the endless. "Yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam," then yoga agni. That time, when you realize that yoga, you become like a fire. The best element is fire, which purifies everything. That’s called fire. Yoga Agni, karma dagdhani. Yoga Agni—the fire of the yoga, the power of the yoga, the siddhi of yoga, the miracles of yoga. That’s called the fire, Agni, of the yoga. Yoga Agni, karma dagdhani. That fire then can burn all the karmas. So, first is karma. That yoga becomes successful through karma. Good karma is successful; bad karma is destruction. So, life is karma, birth is karma, death is karma, and wandering in the universe is also karma—loneliness. So, it is our karma that will help us to be successful in yoga. Yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam, then yoga agni, karma dagdhani. Then this yoga fire will heal all the negative karmas when it becomes pure in the consciousness. So, Kali Yuga is the Yuga of Karma. And this Yuga, this sensory, is the sensory of the slaves. And we are searching to become a slave. You are at home, no work, you are sad. You need work because it makes us dependent on money, so we are the slave of the money. In Kali Yuga, it is said we are governed by money. When the Kali Yuga came, first it was Satya Yuga, Dvāpara Yuga, Tretā Yuga, and now it’s Kali Yuga. So when the Tretā Yuga was finished and Kali Yuga came, that king was very great. He wanted to have his Yuga, that all living beings would be happy and free. So he invited all into his kingdom. All were happy, all free. Anyone could come. This was like the principle of refugees: you invite a refugee into the human heart. But at that time, it was also the animal’s right. The king was very happy. Then came the Kali Yuga. And Kali Yuga comes to the king. You can read this in the Purāṇas, you can read in the Mahābhārata. Kali Yuga came to the king, and the king said, "Who are you?" He said, "I am Kali Yuga." "What is your definition?" Then he explained all this: what is happening now in the world—criminalities, fighting, injustice, terrorists, all problems with women, with the men, and companies, factories, politics. The king said, "You have no place in my kingdom." Kali Yuga said, "That’s not justice. It is a democracy. You have to give me a place in your kingdom." Then he said, "Okay, how much place should I give you?" The king said, "Okay, ask what you want. What you occupy is a small space." Kali Yuga said to him, "I will sit on your head." The king said, "Impossible." Therefore, he said, "Be careful that I will not sit on your head. Give me a small place, okay? What?" "Gold. Very little is placed; I need it in earth." The king said, "Oh, okay, this you can have." Kali Yuga disappeared, and he took his kingdom in gold. And that other king of Kali Yuga was crowned as a king. So what came on the head of the king? A golden crown. And Kali Yuga said to the king, "I am. What? I caught you. You became my slave. I’m sitting on your head." What does it mean? The gold, and so the whole world is caught by gold—immense fighting, smuggling, stealing gold. So this is Kali Yuga. So again, this gold made us the slave. And we are all searching for this gold, because Kali Yuga will remain Kali Yuga. The Austrian says, "Gold remains gold. Gold bleibt gold." Yes, gold will remain gold. Other currency will be changed, will be burned. You know, nearly 15 years ago, or 20 years maybe, the Yugoslavian dinar—it was millions, but you couldn’t buy with these millions of the dinar one newspaper. But gold, not. So, do you have the power to fight against gold or not? We cannot. We are the slave of that. But when we realize the yoga, then it is said, "All is like earth, all is like dust." When a small child is maybe only 10 months old or 15 months old, for this child, a gold and chocolate—even chocolate is more than gold. That child will throw it anywhere. But as you grow, it comes to you. So, my dear, here we are. We are slaves of this Kali Yuga, running and running to find a job. Because money is gold, and God is money. So, Kali Yuga has two points. Kali Yuga is based on the name of the God, the mantra. Practice, practice, repeat, repeat your mantra. You will come out of the prison of the Kali Yuga. Kali Yuga is merely a name-based foundation. Keval means only. In the Kali Yuga, there is only one hope: the name of God. Repeat and repeat your mantra, the name of God. It doesn’t matter which God. God is God. Maybe you have a different name for gold. I think your name is called Zlatka. Zlato, no? But it’s the same. We call it Sona. They call it gold, etc. So, similarly, God is God. If you say Rāma or Kṛṣṇa, Buddha or Śiva or Jesus—in that name is that quality to wake you up. I wanted to wake you up a little bit. Someone was sitting like this. When we chant the name of God, then we need not a translation. Then we need not any imagination; we are all concentrated in one. But if you read a lot of books, then thinking here and there and there... So mantra is the essence. So great Tulsidās said, the holy book Rāmāyaṇa says: "Kali Yuga is only crossed through Bhakti Yoga, through mantra." So, in this Kali Yuga, one is called yoga. So Kali Yuga, now through yoga, we will bring Satya Yuga. We can, we can, we can make everything. We can achieve everything. What Gandhījī said: be the change you want to see. So, let us change Kali Yuga into the Satya Yuga. Brahma satya, jagat mithyā. If we get Brahma jñāna, then we will cross the ocean of ignorance of this worldly life. But for this, we have to fill our brain centers. Deep different screws. Thinking. We need certain tonic, and that tonic is Āyurveda. We survive through the nourishment: maybe liquid, water, juice, milk, yogurt, honey, nuts, herbs, grains, etc. That is Āyurveda. Āyur means the age. We say, "What is your āyur?" How old are you? That means āyur. Āyuṣ means live long. For what? To realize yoga. So Āyur Veda. Veda means knowledge. So, there are many different kinds of Vedas. Many Vedas are four, but also there is Āyurveda. It is called singing—Gandharva Veda. Gandharvas are the singers in the Svarga Loka. Svarga and Naraka—heaven and hell. But when your time is over, all your karmas are paid back. Then you will come again back to this mortal world. When you do good karmas, very good karmas, then you come to the Svarga Loka. And the Āyurveda was developed in Svarga Loka. Was that in Svargaloka, in heaven? All are young? No one is ill. Everyone is happy. You enjoy as much as you like. Eat, sing, dance, sleep. No sorrows, no pain—how nice. And that is what in Islam they said: that you make this one self-suicide bomb, you get seven virgin girls. Seven. But a poor boy, do you think you will get seven? You will get seven punishments. There in heaven, there are no desires. There are no desires, no passion. There is only joy, happiness, divine glories—that’s it. So who comes in the heaven, or Svargaloka, or paradise? The name is the same. There, devas. Who is coming as a male is called devas, not God. But you can compare something like God; some call semi-God. And semi-God is those devas who come to the Svargaloka. And what about women? I forgot. Oh God. Yes, the women. They are worshipped as a Devī—divine mothers, Shakti, equal respect, equal energy. There is no difference. So these are those holy women, which in Christianity you said they declare as holy—some nuns. But also they declare as holy some men, so it is the same. There is no difference of the gender. They are in the heaven, but their energy is here. Their name is here, and it connects us with that energy. What they say there to the God, to the Brahman? They say to God, "God, when we got all the credit of our good karma to be in heaven, then we will come again to the mortal world." You go to the seven-star hotel or multi-star hotel, and you have all the comforts, service, eating, everything. But at 11 o’clock, you have to check out. The game is finished, and the money is gone. Now you have to go again to the slave locale. So he said, "Lord, Lord"—"Lord" is not a proper name for God. The word "Lord" is an English word: House Lord, Landlord. So, how can we compare God and a house lord? Therefore, in Sanskrit, it is the best, the Brahman, the Supreme, the Brahman. So it is said: O God, when I finished all my good karmas and if you send me back to the Mūrti Loka, please give me again human life. Yeah, when one prime minister, president, for five years, he’s enjoying his presidency. Then he lost everything. Then he’s drinking beer. And ask more, please. And they said, "Yes, Mister, he remembers. They call me ’Excellency,’ and now I am ’Mister’—decreasing." Therefore, it is said: "God, after the Svargaloka or heaven, please give me again human life, that through bhakti, through Gurudeva’s mercy, that I come again to Gurudeva, who can bless me for the Brahmaloka." Other actions will bring you, but through the Guru Bhakti, it brings you to the Brahma Loka. That’s it. Ito ito. What did you sing? Who understood what we sang? Hands up. Very good. And who did not understand? Yes. Okay. So we will speak after Āyurveda. So, Āyurveda is that which prolongs our life to achieve our destination. Āyurveda supports us to live a healthy, happy, and long life. Āyurveda is nourishment for the physical body, for the astral body, and for the mental body. Āyurveda is not acting immediately. Some think immediately. One person said, "I can’t feel Āyurveda. And in allopathy, I take medicine and immediately my headache is finished." Āyurveda also has, but unnecessarily, where there is a need of a little needle, don’t use the cannon. So Āyurveda doesn’t use the cannon unnecessarily. But this is only an excuse. Okay, we can give you experience. We give you a tiny, tiny ball of Āyurveda—not a capsule, smaller than a capsule. And within half an hour, you have to go to the toilet. But you can’t get up. You can’t get up from the commode. What does it mean? "I am paralyzed. Do I have a problem with my knee? No." You stand up halfway, again something is forcing you down, again you sit down. It’s called Mr. Diarrhea. So, Āyurveda has very good effects, but because Āyurveda does not give anything which has side effects. And allopathic roots are from Āyurveda. Every medicine which you have, this allopathic, it has its name in Latin or in Sanskrit, herbs. But they manipulated herbs through the chemical. So, due to the chemical, there is a side effect. You lose your shirt. You hold your shirt; the cap is falling. You take care of the cap, the trouser is falling, and you take care of the trouser, your underwear is losing. So when you take the allopathic medicine for the heart, it affects your liver, affects your pancreas, and impacts your kidneys, infecting, affecting your blood pressure, etc. So more side effects. But for certain emergencies, allopathic medicine is good. Immediately, it can save your life. So I would not say that Āyurveda is bad or allopathic is bad. Now we are all addicted to allopathic medicine, and it takes time to come to Āyurveda. And so this Āyurveda takes you completely; to come to Āyurveda takes a few years. And begin with eating, nourishment. Further, we will continue in the afternoon and evening. I wish you a very good lunch and enjoyment on the beautiful Adriatic coast. Go to the meadow, or what you call the beach, yes, that is gratis. So, according to the program, I will be here. And now you understand Kali Yuga. Yeah, it is Yuga up the sleeves. Yeah, that’s it. Alright. Namo Nārāyaṇāya, Namo Nārāyaṇāya. Har Har Śiva, Namo Nārāyaṇa, Har Har Śiva, Namo Nārāyaṇa, Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, Devādhi Dev, Mahādev Kī, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Kī, Hari Om.
