Sources of happiness

Health is the foundational wealth for happiness, achieved through the balance of yoga and Āyurveda.

Health is the first wealth; without it, everything is nothing. Yoga and Āyurveda are two wings for balance: yoga harmonizes astral energy and emotions, while Āyurveda maintains physical health. The primary happiness is a healthy body. The second is having sufficient resources to feed one's family and guests, avoiding greed, which is insatiable like a beggar's bottomless pot made from the human mind. The third happiness is harmony and mutual understanding between husband and wife. The fourth is obedient children. The fifth is good neighbors and social harmony. Worry is a destructive termite that erodes health. Āyurveda is the knowledge of life, focusing on nourishment and natural remedies. Desires, especially of the tongue, are enemies to control. The soul is like a queen bee; when it departs, the bodily systems follow. Simple Āyurvedic techniques, like gentle touch or using a feather, can alleviate issues. Purification practices like Śaṅkhaprakṣālana should align with seasonal changes. True well-being comes from natural living, not excessive consumption or artificial means.

Om Shānti. Good evening, dear sisters and brothers. Welcome. It is nice to see you again in this beautiful city. You taught something about the ocean, so I am now near the ocean. Beautiful ocean, beautiful air. It is best for yoga practice. The climate of this city is very good. We are all here to exchange our thoughts, our feelings, and a part of our life. So, yoga and Āyurveda. I believe many of you are practicing yoga here under the guidance of Swami Madhuram. This center is dedicated to the well-being of all. Welcome to everyone. It is said, health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health. The first thing for us in life is to be healthy. If we are healthy, we are happy. Happiness is a part of health. Happiness is the result of a healthy society, a healthy family, healthy colleagues, and ourselves. We are also happy if we see our garden as beautiful, nice, and healthy. Our vegetation and our forests are always beautiful and healthy. Also, our seasons are healthy: time to time, raining; time to time, sun shining. All this together makes us healthy, meaning happy. So, happiness means health. Health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health. Now, about yoga, we always speak a lot: what we can achieve through yoga, what we can do. Both yoga and Āyurveda are like the two wings of a bird to fly. Yoga balances our astral energy, our astral body, our emotions, etc. And Āyurveda, and some part of yoga, balances or looks after our body, keeping our physical part healthy. With one wing, we cannot fly. We need the two, the balance. Like a family in the household, both husband and wife should have mutual understanding and harmony. Then that household and that house and the energy of that house are very positive, very harmonious, and full of happiness and prosperity. Prosperity—we understand different things. But it is said, Āyurveda said, the first wealth is good health. The first wealth is good health. In Āyurveda, the first wealth is good health. What are the points or principles of achieving that kind of health, which we call the wealth? Wealth means not only money, house, and this and that, no. Āyurveda tells the first point: first happiness, first comfort, first harmony, everything is the healthy body. Life is that kind of life which is healthy. Lying in hospitals and having illnesses is not part of health. There are two kinds of health: physical and mental, which we further divide into social, spiritual, etc. Pahala sukha nīrogī kāyā. The first happiness, the first wealth, is good health. Now, to maintain this health and happiness in harmony. So the second happiness and health is that we have enough to feed our family as well as those who come to our door, so they do not go with empty hands. That's enough. The wise persons, the Āyurvedic doctor said, "Sai itanā dījī jisme kutam samay, main bhūkā nahī̃ rahū̃, sādhu na bhūkā jāy." Oh God, give us that much so my family doesn't starve, so my family has enough to eat, and this and that. And those who come to my door should not go with empty hands. That's all. Otherwise, it is said, greed has no limit. We want to have no money, but today we want to earn $50. The next day, we want to have two hundred dollars. We have two hundred dollars, then we want to have five hundred dollars. Next year, like this, we want to have per day twenty dollars, or twenty hundred—two thousand dollars. It comes to millions and billionaires, but now the millions and billionaires' stomachs become bigger and bigger, and that stomach will never be full. We are eating and drinking since we came into the mother's body, and all the time we are eating and eating, yet this belly is always empty and hungry all the time. Generally, we consume all the stuff for eating food. What we consume is 80 tons in one life for a human, 80 tons. If we bring all that food, it is 80 tons. How big of rooms would we need? But still, our stomach is empty. So, there are two kinds of... Emptiness. There's one story I remember, and it's very good to know this story. It has some kind of knowledge. This story is very good for the people who are greedy of becoming billionaire, the money. At that time, these stories are from past centuries. Kings were fighting. Wars were always. Don't think there was a big First World War and Second World War. No, no, no. This was all the times. Human nature is really fighting and fighting and fighting. There was one king, very nice, very good. He said, "In my kingdom, no one will be poor. No one will suffer. No one will be unhappy, and no one will be poor or hungry. Everyone will have enough cloth, food, comfort, money, etc." So, the kingdom was very nice. All were happy, all were praising the king. The king's ego went up. This is a part of our astral being. Āyurveda, and when we come to yoga, then we come to the astral part of our body. So, there is danger, obstacles, illness. That is one called proudness. Proudness is an illness. Pride is the symbol that very soon destruction will come. Therefore, wise persons are never, never showing pride. They will come and sit behind somewhere. But we will say, please, Mr. Director or Minister, please come to the front. He said, "I am comfortable there. You speak." But those who have pride in their place or position will come directly to the front and tell everybody, and search for the first place. Not purposely, but there is inside that pride of ego that keeps blowing up more and more. So the king said one day, "I am so happy in my kingdom, no one is suffering, no one is hungry, etc., etc." He gave the duty to his people: go and search in this kingdom. If anyone has some troubles, problems, illness, this, that. Always messages were coming every day: all are happy. Your Highness, in your kingdom, all are happy. Again, he's getting blown off. So God wants to kill his ego and his pride. Then he will get the kingdom in heaven, so God himself decided to test. Morning, every day, six to eight, the king was walking in his own garden, a big garden. He came out of his palace, and on the staircase there was an old man. At that time, the old man was about 250 years old, something like that. He was old. So we are only the kind. We are little children, but we are now still in the kindergarten, what you call the nursery school. So we have many, many years. Āyurveda and yoga will bless us with a long, happy life, a long, long life. God came as a beggar. The dress was very old and torn. Not enough shirt was called. No shoes, little cloth, and little shirt. Walking stick. The walking stick symbol tells us that expectation is the walking stick from the cradle to the grave. Expectation. Expectation will lead to disappointment. So that stick is in our hand to support us. I will achieve, I will achieve, I will have, I will have. Now he had nothing, one stick and one beggar's pot. He was standing there, "King, I am hungry. Last two weeks, I didn't eat anything. I am praising, thanks to God, that I met him today. In your kingdom, I am suffering." The king was so surprised. "You are from my kingdom? Where are you living?" He said, "Nowhere. Just near your palace. The roots, the foundation, the ground. On the corner side of your palace, I'm lying there. Nobody takes care of me. I have no house. But I'm hungry, not angry." The king said, "My dear, wait a minute." He called the people quickly, "Bring food." So they brought eating and asked, "What can I give you?" He said, "Beggar, what will he need? Only food. And how much? Just fill my pot. That's all. Give me some rice or something. Is it rice? I will put the gold in, so you will never be poor anymore. Okay. As it is your will, your highness, king, please fill my pot." So he put everything inside, but it was always empty, nothing. He puts gold, coins, this, that, also rice, everything. But the pot is completely empty. And he said, "Please, I am dying of hunger." Now the king was surprised. What kind of beggar is this? He is asking his soldiers, "You are giving him information every day. In our kingdom, no one is hungry, no one is this one. From where did he come?" They said, "We don't know." And he said, "Yes, they are great people. They don't see the poor ones. They see all the highest. Please, king, just fill my pot so I can eat." But whatever goes disappears. The king realized there must be something. He folded his hands and said, "Oh, dear beggar, please tell me, what is a miracle in your beggar's pot? From which material have you made this pot? So whatever you put in, it disappears." And he said, "My pot is made out of the human's mind." So, in the human mind, there is never enough. That's it. Never enough. O God, please give me that much that I can feed my family, and those who come to my door will not go empty-handed. So proud days. So he said, "Who are you? Please tell me." At that time, immediately, he changed his form. He appeared as a God. Now, which God? That is the God which you believe. How do you want to see God, or what is your imagination about God? He came, and he is a king. "I came to test you. I thought you have no ego and nothing, but one weakness you have, which is an obstacle, a barrier towards heaven, and that is your pride." And so, Pahala Sukh Nīrogī Kāyā: they are the first. Health and happiness is the healthy body. Second, the wealth at home. But wealth is this, what we call, to maintain. Otherwise, when there is more money, then it is said, you are the servant. You are the slave of the money, which means you are taking care of your money. You are taking care of your money all the time, looking for your money more and more. So this is the first point: Pahala sukha nīrogī kāyā. The first is a healthy body. Second, sukha ghar mein. In the house, enough to survive. And now, the third happiness, third goodness, what is there is called ājñākārī. The Patañjali ājñā kari. Means the husband and wife both have mutual understanding, not blaming each other, but supporting each other, forgiveness, and having a balance. When the wife says to the husband, "Please, can you do this?" He says, of course, don't shame your everyday pāla, please. Between husband and wife, there is no word "please." He says it naturally, and similarly, when the husband says to his wife, "Please, can you do it?" she says, "Of course." So this is a harmony. This is the biggest blessing in our modern civilization, the biggest blessing in that family, husband and wife, from the first day when they met and married, till the last breath of our body. So happy, the prosperity is that in our family, in our house, there is harmony. So which point is this? The third. And now the fourth one: the children, they are obeying. That your children always follow your instructions and are nice to you. Otherwise, you know, children are already for eight years, and they have their own willpower. And you see what is the condition of the children, the youth? How much youth is suffering? If you have that kind of harmony in the home and love and... These children will not go in the night anywhere, sir, and coming back, they will pull off the drugs and alcohols and this and that, destroying their brain. So, I think that even in your culture, mostly people who are coming from the West, or from the East, West, you know, British, Europeans, and so on, also, in the night, no one was going. And before, already I can tell you, before 80, 90 years before, when one girl comes pregnant, everybody says, "Oh God," the neighbor will say, "Look, you know that girl." Yes? Now we say, oh, it is freedom. This freedom is a very disturbed freedom, destroying the life of that person and this, and so on. So, children should be obedient. Give them freedom. They should have 100% freedom, but mother and father, they should educate the children where to go, where they should not go, when to speak, and where. All protection is in the protection. Now, nobody listens to the parents. Fifth point of happiness: a good neighbor. Otherwise, at certain times, we have neighbors of God. Midnight, they play the music. Midnight, they're making the nails. Until they call the police, they are already sleeping, and many, many are disturbed. Our neighbor is a part of our family. That's called society. Neighbors are part of our family. We have one house, and there are ten rooms for our children, for us, for our guests, etc. So the whole street is our family. They are living there. How? Social harmony. And that's called social education. Nowadays, social education is missing. These are the points of Āyurveda. Still, we didn't come to this. This kind of... this is Āyurveda. I've taught that today. I'm sorry, but we bring you into such a room; there's little oxygen, but you are Āyurveda, herbs, nature. Then, the next point was, but now it's not possible for many people. That time, there was a little population, the humans. That you should have in your own house your own milk animal, or the cow, which gives you fresh and good milk. So, pailā sukha nīrogī kāyā, good health. Duja sukha ghar me mayā, the wealth that we can survive without any troubles or problems. Teja sukha, strī ājñā kari, your husband or your wife, that's obedient. Then the children, then the neighbors, then the food, our gardens, and our milk, and this. This is that kind of life. Then we are so healthy, so relaxed. We can sleep deep sleep, deep sleep without any disturbance. We get up very happy. We see our whole street's happiness. Then our life will expand. We are 100 years old, but we can still go jogging. But another part of the Āyurveda, which is coming to the yoga point, is called the worry, that cintā, we call cintā. Cintā is like a termite. This termite, which will eat the whole tree from inside, will make it hollow. And so there is this cintā, the worry, doesn't matter what, even the worry about your dog or your little rabbit or the worry about your neighbors. All kinds of worries which we have, cintā, that kills us, healthy cells in our body. It limited our abilities, and we lost the confidence. So that is worry. So try to take it easy or take it as it is. If we make him sorrows or worries, we cannot change. Your grandmother died, we are so unhappy, but we can't do anything because it's in nature. She was old enough, and she was suffering in this body. This body cannot, for long, long years, be with us. So this is part of the Āyurveda, and that's called six different points, called vikāra. Vikāra means destroying. Vikāra means illness. Vikāra is something like a fruit which is spoiled or rotten. Vikāra means it begins to stink, so this is a disease. And these are the vikāras which attack our body, within our body, our bones, our flesh, our hormones, our fat in the body, our urine, our code, etc. All that is in our body, now for a while, it's okay. But finally, it will turn to vikāra, like we drink fresh, good water. But after some time, it will turn into a liquid, which we call urine, and it has to be spilled. Otherwise, it will kill us. We drank the pure, good water for life, but now we have to pass through. If it remains inside, it is a vikāra. So, machine, what God has done—all our bones, our flesh, our ligaments, our nerve systems, everything—it is good, healthy, but very soon it will go to the vikāra. And when it turns to vikāra, that time becomes a painful thing for us, either physically or mentally. Which is mental? It is the cintā, the worry. Which is physical? The pain we feel in the body. So Āyurveda, now the word Āyurveda, Āyur means life. We can tell how old you are, what your age is. So, āyu means the age, and veda means the knowledge. So, do you have the knowledge? I am asking myself, Maheśvara Ānanda, do you have enough knowledge to maintain your body healthy? Yes, you can, and yes, I can. But, then it is said, adadar vikāra, it said, our weakness, our weakness is our desire, and the biggest weakness of our desire is there is a small organ in the body, and that is our tongue and lips. We can control everything, but this, when someone brings, you know, this is good, ice cream, very good, just take it, okay. No, I cannot. Now, come on, half cup. Okay, please give it to me a little bit, okay. So, who is asking for our test? It is said that in this body we have ten senses, which are very powerful. These are ten horses pulling the coach of this body: five senses of knowledge and five senses of desire. So, there are ten senses in this body. Only some yogīs can control them, but even for those yogīs, two senses are very, very difficult. You have to observe day and night. You should not sleep. And if you sleep, these senses will have freedom. So, one is the test, and second is the desire of the person; these two indriyas. It is said, O man, O yogī, O anyone, within you, us, has embodied two. One is the soul, and as long as this soul is inside, all senses will try to work. And when the soul is gone, all senses will give up. Like a queen bee flies and goes somewhere else. All bees will leave and go away from the honey, and there were eggs and there were babies. All these bees will go where the queen went. So our soul is that queen, and wherever the soul will go in the astral world, the entire system will go with it, but as an individual. Now, in the whole bee heap, all bees are here, but if the queen bee flies, then all individual bees will fly away. And so, all our body's systems, our thinking, our intellect, our memories, everything is just separated. But our soul now will be put, or will find a place, and that means the next life. Now, where will this soul go? On which tree? It will go on the banyan tree, or the mango trees, or the orange tree, or lemon trees, or where it will sit, we don't know. This soul cannot decide, "I want to go to the human body." Maybe sometimes soul will say, "I don't want to be the human. My God, so much fighting and war, and this. Please, God, can I be somewhere in the forest, a little bird?" But this little bird is also not easy, my dear. The eggs of the birds are very, very difficult to protect. But nature, nature balances. We are talking about the human today. So, this desire is our enemy. Now, eating is a desire, but second, eating is for our survival. Ati sarvatra varjante, too much is prohibited. We know we have limitation for many things, but mostly, people, we don't have control and limitation. And that's why we are not healthy, means these termites in the body. So Āyurveda is the science of nourishment. There is a kind of herb which is in the Himalayas, known, and they will take only one leaf and will clean and grind it on the stones and mix it with water and drink it. For ten days, you have no hunger, and you have all kinds of energy. But which is that herb I'm searching? I was there three times. Definitely, I would bring it here, even if your custom doesn't allow it. But that herb is a knowledge given to rare people. I went last year to the Himalayas, and the altitude was not so high, nearly 4,000, or less than 4,000 meters, but you could feel the oxygen getting thinner and thinner. So from the owner of the temple or the priest of the temple of the Badrī Nārāyaṇa, he said, "Swamiji," I said, "Yes, I have a heart problem, but I want to go because the origin of my spiritual master from many ages is somewhere here, and there I'm going." So he said, "I tell you, when you have a problem with the breathing, just look down." And under your feet, everywhere, there is one herb. And there are tiny, small, pink flowers. Take a few and chew them. They will provide enough oxygen. I said, "Well, okay, yes." We are so-called civilized people, but perhaps we are not. There was a witness with me, and so we went. There are so many; it is just like a weed. We took it, and it gave a lot of energy. Only a few small flowers. Then, with the 10-12 people who were with me, they also took it. Everyone went a little high to the clean part of the rock. They brought some back and said, "Swāmījī, for you, Swāmījī, for you. Now I have so much." I said, "Please, you eat, not me." Pūrṇimā Dharamarāj, yes? Perhaps you can tell—this is a practical session now. So these flowers, no? Just like effervescence, you drink it and you suddenly feel much better. We were very sparing in what we ate, especially for spiritual reasons, and so we were very careful. A little bit hungry sometimes, but the flower made you feel fine. This is Āyurveda. It is nourishment, and nourishment means it must not be that we are eating 100 grams or 200 grams of food, or someone eats half a kilo. Half a kilo means there was soup and salad, and then vegetables, then the rice, and then these and that, and then ice cream, and then on the ice cream comes the coffee. So it is more than one liter or one kilo, okay, anyhow. Āyurveda has this principle, and there is something called the herbs. In New Zealand, you have a lot of herbs here, these herbal plants, but one should have knowledge about them. Otherwise, we can kill someone. That part of the acknowledgment of these herbs, I don't have that knowledge. A few things I can do, but it's different. Therefore, it's good to invite a very good Āyurvedic doctor from India. And it should be called the nāḍī-vedya. Nāḍī-vedya is an Āyurveda doctor. Nāḍī means our pulse. This doctor has three fingers—five, but with these three fingers he's testing. In the morning, with an empty stomach, without drinking water or eating anything, he will feel our pulse. In one minute or two minutes, he will diagnose your whole body. He will tell you what you ate yesterday, where problems you have, on which organs of the body, which hormones are problematic, what the female's disease is, the male's disease, on the neck, in many, many places... within one and a half minute he can tell everything. MRI is there. This is an MRI machine, but they should know. That's called a vibration, vibration energy. The tip of our fingers is the most sensitive point. The tips of the fingers, the tip of the tongue, and the soles of the feet. When we take one finger, let us take the middle finger or any one finger, and very gently move it like this on your palm. Look how much sensation, how much energy is awakening and going into the whole body. Try. You lose nothing. Come on. This is also the Chinese technique they are doing. Only touching this one finger and the palm, so much energy spreads in the body. Do you feel? Do it once more, please, but don't put it like this. It should be completely relaxed, and move your finger between here. Now, if someone has a depression, a very big depression, and you are sitting all in the depression, it is so, so painful in that different kind. Even a person in depression commits suicide. Someone told me that depression is inner pain. So one thing that I want to cut it. The cutting will not have so much pain, but the depression, that is sorrow, that cintā. So Āyurveda said, "Take this depression out." There are herbs, and second, your own dormant energy in your body. So now, touch only the finger to finger, look, but very gentle, very gentle. For some persons, like house mothers and wives, or whatever you call house ladies, they are cutting vegetables all the time, and their fingers are a little raw, not so sensitive, but our normal ones are. So feel, please, your fingers like this. This is Āyurveda or yoga. This is a gentle touch. When you have a headache, what we call a migraine, relax yourself and just go with your own fingers like this. But without oil. Make it dry. And don't give pressure. It is just like a spider is walking on your forehead. Or you can use both fingers like this. Please look at me. So the headache will be good. The tension will go away. What we call meditation, the anti-stress meditation. This is one of the best anti-stress meditations. You can lie down. You can lean on the chair or on the wall. Make yourself comfortable, or you can sit like this and do it like that. But be gentle; as soon as you make more force, it will go away. In meditation, we have imagination, and we see the light or something. And when we try to catch that, oh, it will disappear. These are the subtle senses, the jñāna-indriyas, the five senses of knowledge: one is our vision, the eyes; then sound, smell, taste, and touch. Touch is the skin. The skin is that kind of covering over the whole body, which has immense senses. This touch energy, as soon as you touch, the whole body knows everything because it is touching all the nerves, all the glands, everything. So be very gentle. There is a massage. If you do the massage, that is okay, you like it, and we remove the tension. But if we do the massage just like this, touching the body, all cells and all glands are awakening. Tiredness goes, you feel very happy, very relaxed. Of course, we can go and buy the medicine, and swallow it. For a while, you will feel good, but this medicine will have another effect too, because medicine has its duty. So, when you say, "Oh, now chemicals said, 'Good, I am in your body,'" one thing I will calm down, but others I will awake inside. So side effects are very much. But this kind of technique of yoga or Āyurveda has none. Now, second, another Āyurvedic technique. There are some people who have this twitching of one eye. And this is our cheek, one part of it. It's not under control. You are doing like this, like this, and it's not under control. They don't want to do it, but it comes like this. There is a very simple treatment. Find one peacock feather, or if not a peacock, then some nice bird's feather. Take that one feather, and every day, a few times, for about two minutes, just gently touch here, like we comb our hair. Feathers are very gentle. Through this, what happens? That sensation, like electricity, goes to that nerve and brings the nerve again into balance, and the strength comes in and out. Try, please, when you have someone... you don't have now, please, you don't need to do. God bless you, that you will not have this kind of defect. But if someone has it, we can give them a suggestion, and if they want, they can do it. Yoga and Āyurveda are going parallel. Three times or four times a year, we should do śaṅkhaprakṣālana. In yoga language, they say basti, and we say saṅkhaprakṣālana. Do you know, some of you, about saṅkhaprakṣālana? Who knows? Raise your hand. Very good. And who does not know, or who has not done it, put your hand up, please? Okay, thank you. So now it's for you. The others are through, so now is our intense time. Our intestine, the doctor said, is about 8.5 meters long. Mostly, those who have long intestines are vegetarian. And others have a short intestine. So, from 8.5 meters long, when meat goes through the body, it is not easy to digest. That all began, that they drink alcohol to digest it. But alcohol is harmful, and meat is harmful for us, for humans. But they think if you don't eat meat, you will be ill. And we think, if you eat the meals, you will be ill. Which kind of illness? Physical or mental? And now meat is increasing and increasing. I'm sorry to say, but I think I have to ask you a question. How many psychic problems do you have in your country here? Percentage? 40%? Then hurry up, practice yoga in daily life. Yes, no joke. Really. Bring the depressed person to me, and in five days I will make them very happy and joyful. Well, that's Australia, and so it will become more and more ill, and this is business, the meat industry. That's it. If the government tells you what you should eat and what you should not eat, that is the last, last of the last. But if your mother, she knows what you have to give to your child, and now she is breastfeeding, and the government said, "No, the child should get from the beginning the whiskey, a little bit," will you trust that? Will your mother allow you to give like this? Well, this is a... that's what, how? This Kali Yuga, that's why the depression. This comes from the nourishment, because now, how many animals are in depression? They are in life prison. How they live, not naturally, very unnaturally. So they have a psychic problem as well as physical problems. Their legs, their joints, this, that, everything. So I'm sorry to say, but it's your government. I cannot speak against your government because I'm not an Australian citizen, but it is not good. Humans should have the right to eat how they like to eat, naturally, very naturally. Anyhow, so again we are coming here. Similarly, when someone has problems here, they are so uncontrolled like this. There are some people who are very poor. They don't want to do it, but it's like this. It's very unpleasant for the person. In the beginning, people will see when you are sitting in an airplane and you are doing like this, and for a while they will look, and after they will say, "Oh, poor person." This is again the same training technique, but this has to do with some others: your friends, your partners, or anyone. So here, to go through this touch therapy for the whole part, slowly with the hands. There is like electricity, sensation. Now please try, everybody. There is nothing wrong. With your hand, very gentle, no pressure at all. Only skin on the top. Regenerating feedback energy, and on the other side, even if we don't have a problem, you should do it. Like this. Now, many problems go ahead. You should do it. The big problem is people who are working on the computer, on the keyboard all the time. For them, this is the miracle: when we take this like this, and then... You have to do the sarvahitā exercise like this. Now, we are coming to this experience of the one, then it ends. How to do? So, try, everybody, feel like this. Okay, this was too quick, but it had some effect. Now, we do the effect: close the fist with the thumb inside, strong, tightly. With the other hand, the right hand to the left, hold your wrist. Tighten it as strong as you can, and make a fist also tight. Now, only open your palm and look at your palm. But with the other hand, tighten your wrist. Look to the tip of the finger, the whole palm. Now we will do something, and you have to concentrate on your palm. Feel your palm. Look at your palm, how it is—beautiful, everything. Now, look at the palm and feel your palm. And now, release your hand. Those nerves which had no energy were going through, and you feel very tired, and your finger sometimes on the keyboard misses the keys; it will not happen. So now you can see, feel your other hand and this hand. So one hand is different. Let us try. Experience it. Tighten, more consciously hold the wrist. Block everything, and now slowly open your palm and look at the whole palm and the tips of the fingers. Color everything. And now, release and feel your palm. It doesn't take a long time. It doesn't need any other space. You are sitting on the chair, working there, just for one or two minutes. Again, your hands and energy, and you will be happy to work and do good work. Your company member, or president, or the owner, or the general, or what you call the manager, will be very happy with how so quickly work is done. Why? What happened today? Yoga and daily life. Now, another thing that is in our hand, in the future, is more than these powerful things that we will show next time. We have that kind of magnetic energy which is radiating on both sides. We want to do a very strong, very, very strong awakening of this energy in the whole body. So this was from this part to this part. Similarly, we can also do this on ourselves here. You should do it every day for one or two minutes, just very gently. There will be no brain hemorrhage, this flow of this blood here. Let's do it with one hand, okay? Rub your palms, not like this, okay? I want to see some fire. It should be hot. Now, hold like this. Slowly make this movement. There is something, resistance, the energy. And now, to make more sure, slowly move like this. Now you feel like needles in the palms, yes? But there are no needles. It goes like this, okay? But if you go... like this, you are breaking this, bending these needles. So, close the palms, wrists, fists, hands down, open, come. There's nothing breaking; it's gone. When we do so much, and then two centimeters above your skin, where you have pain anywhere in the body, you move like this, and it will heal that part of the body. Once a day, after washing, bathroom and this, that, you can touch or just make like this. It's very gentle, like this, Tai Chi. They call it Tai Chi, not Reiki. Yes? But that is very conscious, very aware. It awakens your memory; it awakens all your nerve systems. It's beautiful, but it needs nerves to be like this. Otherwise, in the beginning, I thought they were all mentally ill. Yes, but then I realized how powerful it is. It's very powerful. So yoga, Āyurveda does not need any kind of force. Śaṅkhaprakṣālana is the purifying of the intestines, four times a year. It means every end of the third month: the beginning of the season and the end of the season. So, the end of autumn and the beginning of winter. End of the winter and beginning of spring. And the end of the spring and beginning of summer, and the beginning of the end of the summer and beginning of... What happens to this plant? It also has four seasons. The leaves become yellow and fall down. Leaves get new. Similarly, our body is a movable body, is a mobile. But nature said, Āyurveda said, there is no difference between your body and vegetation. So, what is happening with nature happens to your body at the same time. That is Śaṅkhaprakṣālana, to clean all the toxins of the body, which are cleaned through this. If we do this, the body will be very nicely balanced. This is more for people who live in one place. I myself should do Śaṅkhaprakṣālana every week, perhaps, because I'm changing from one country to another country. In this one and a half month, I traveled half of the world, many, many countries. So that is confusing the whole system, so my system said, "We give up." Yeah, just carry on. But I do. I do sometimes. One day, I was sleeping, doing a little, and then I was doing, couldn't sleep, so I relaxed. I was doing like this. Someone looked, "What is he doing?" And I said, "He feels good." So Āyurveda is a natural medicine, and Āyurveda is thousands of years old, ages. The story of Āyurveda is many, many ages old. And out of that comes all the other medicines. Yoga, you have, all you are practicing yoga. So today I will not speak more about yoga, but tomorrow we are still here. We will talk about Āyurvedic herbs. You can have them here, you can buy them. There is written, but best would be that we call one Āyurvedic doctor. But please, don't bring a commercial doctor. Nagin bhai, yes. Oh, God. You see, in our own house, we have the mines of diamonds, and we are searching outside. Okay. Tomorrow we will ask her to give ten minutes on the main key points about Āyurveda, then I will talk, okay? Āyurveda is in your every kitchen. But unfortunately, 85% of the population in this world cannot cook. And if they can cook, they are just boiling, or microwaves, or something. Cooking, everything has different spices. And spices are Āyurveda. Now, you people, your taste is gone. If you eat one chili, I think for one week you will drink and drink water. But chili is the best. It kills all the germs in the body, all the bacteria and so on. How many spices are there? In one kitchen, at least there are 50 different kinds of spices. 50 kinds, including salt, different oils, many, many, many. For which kind of vegetable, which kind of spices should be used? Which kind of milk food? What do we make? Anything? The rice milk, or this milk? Or what kind of spices should we give there? We should know how. Otherwise, one can bring spinach, and on its slug, it's cream? No, on this peanut cream. A person like me who doesn't know what is what, I will be testful, okay? I will eat it, but the cream, the slug over, what we call in German, "your cake makes more tasteful." So, the cake belongs—the cream belongs on the cake, not on the spinach. That is knowledge; therefore we call it grandmother's kitchen. In our house, our chemistry shop is in our house. Mother knows how much we should, for example, the saffron. Saffron is very good. It has a very good aroma, and it is very powerful and healthy, and so on and so on. But if you take more, you will die. I don't want to give you the remedy of how to do it, but one can kill. One can kill within a few minutes. That's it. Between the butter or the ghee, you know what is the ghee? Melted butter. If you take exactly, for example, 10 grams of honey and 10 grams of ghee, you mix it and give someone to eat, 100% will die. So please, but I know that you will not find exactly. If there is a half-half gram, is this? Then it doesn't. Yeah, anyhow, so this evening is enough. Tomorrow we will see the spices and spices. There is a book you can buy, and just so you will be so impressed, and you will say, "Wow, all medicine is in my house. Why am I going?" Away, there is some kind of spice that makes your blood pressure high, and you don't know. And we are taking medicine, medicine, but if we avoid that one spice, if we know, blood pressure will be again normal. But to know how, that's it. All the best. Good evening. God bless you, and see you tomorrow. Adieu. So, first wealth is... first wealth is good health. And which are the wealth? Pela sukha nirogikaya, the healthy body. Dojī sukha gharme māyā, you have everything that you need in your household. Tija sukha, the obedient husband or wife. Americans are saying, "A good husband dies in the kitchen." So the ambassador, he comes home, the wife said, "Now go and cook, and please clean the dishes, and can you dispense the garbage and this?" She said, "You are an ambassador there. In the house, you have no ambassador. You are just my husband. Do it." And he said, "Yes, darling, I do, of course."
