We are searching for Supreme Bliss

Śiva consciousness is the eternal reality within. This awareness is our true nature, beyond gender and duality found only on earth. The individual soul engages in worldly activities, often without true knowledge of good and bad. A yogī embodies this Śiva consciousness. Some traditions are limited, with a final scripture or prophet, but Sanātana Dharma is limitless and eternal. Do not believe in endpoints, like predictions of the world's end. The Guru is not merely a physical form but the embodiment of supreme knowledge and light, dispelling darkness and ignorance. You cannot run from your path or your inner darkness; it follows like a shadow. The solution is not to search externally but to purify internally through disciplined practice like Anuṣṭhāna. Do not hurry for enlightenment; a long, disciplined life of practice is the path. Purify the mind and energy to remove the darkness of ignorance, even when standing in the light.

"Sanātana Dharma is limitless. And that’s what we are learning."

"Where there is knowledge, there is no ignorance. Where there is light, there is no darkness."

Hari Om. Welcome, everybody. Today is the last Monday, the one before the last, in this Divine Month dedicated to Bhagavān Śiva. There is a different energy, a different light, the miracles of Śiva. And that Śiva is within us as consciousness. Consciousness and awareness—this represents Śiva. So, we need not go anywhere to search for Śiva. It is within us. It doesn’t matter if one is male or female. In the divine world, in spirituality, there is no difference of gender. This duality is only on the earth. There is a different kind, what we call nature. But nature also has its functions: consciousness, awareness. Our earth is known as a living planet. It is coming and going. This coming and going is the Jīvātmā. And where the Jīvātmā is dwelling in this world, there are many, many activities and many different energies, many different desires. We generally mean good always, and we think we are doing our best and doing good. But we do not have the knowledge about what is good and what is bad. A yogī is the representative of Śiva, that Śiva consciousness. So, this science of yoga is the embodiment of Śiva. Many times I have mentioned the great saint Nānak Dās, and he wrote a book that is called the Holy Book, the Guru Grantha. Grantha means the book, a holy book, and grantha also means what you have written. You are the author. So Guru Nānak Dās said that after him, it will be difficult to have a master. He closed the chapter there. There are many saints in the Sikh tradition, but they now believe in that holy book, what we call that Bible. After the Bible, there is nothing. You had the Pope, the Patriarch, the Priest, etc. But only everything represents, and that is the Bible. So, I don’t know when he will come back again. And if he incarnates again, you will not trust; you will not believe. So it’s limited. Similarly, the Qur’ān. The Quran is the final, the last, the judgment. Yes, there were many prophets, but not one who presents Allah. So, in this we call this, that kind of religion or tradition is ended. But as Guru Nānak said, "Guru Granth Ko Jāniye, Pragyat Guru Ankī Deī." Take it as this book of the Gurudev, as the embodiment of Gurudeva itself. If you want to know, you will find in this book as Gurudeva itself. Jiske hirde sache—in their heart is that truth. In their heart is the belief that they will find everything in this holy book. Similarly, finally, Śiva is the consciousness within us. And through the science of yoga which Śiva has given, all that Śiva has given us is within us, and that is yoga. There are many chapters of yoga: Kṛiyā Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Rāja Yoga, Jñāna Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Yantra Yoga, many, many. But if you are a seeker, you are a devotee, you will find in that a realization. But Sanātana Dharma is eternal Dharma. So in Sanātana Dharma there is no limitation. There is no border. Other religions have put the border. That’s all, not anymore. About two or three years ago, I think, the whole world was frightened. They knew from decades, asking the questions, writing in magazines, media, television, interviewing all the great masters, etc. In the Maya calendar, there are no more further years, and it means that will be the end of the world. Many people believed. Many people sold their properties. Many things were given up. They believed. And it’s about 15 years ago, 20 years ago. They asked me in Barcelona, "Is it on this date that the world will go down? What do you say to me there? Ask the media." I said my answer will be the next day after the end of this calendar. But they said, "You will not be there." I said, "That’s my answer. Next day I will tell you." So do not limit. Sanātana Dharma is limitless. And that’s what we are learning, doing, etc.—Paramparā, and what we call the Guru Paramparā. It is said, many times I translated, don’t take Guru as a physical form. But it is that achievement, energy, light, knowledge within that embodiment of that particular person. In that body, the Guru means, it is the knower and itself is the Brahman. Brahmananda Paramsukhadam Kevalam Jnanamurti—it is the only embodiment of knowledge. And where there is knowledge, there is no ignorance. Where there is light, there is no darkness. Brahmananda, and that is a supreme bliss, but we are searching. This is bestowed from master to master; that is sanātana. If you have understood, then you will search and realize in that Gurudeva. When you did not understand and you could not search, you will have doubts, and you will go away, run away, and try to change anger, hate, doubt. That means that person did not find the path in that Gurudeva. There are many, many karmic reactions. Brahmanandam, Paramasukhadam, Kevalam, Jñānamūrti—it is only the embodiment of knowledge, and you will also be as the embodiment of knowledge if you become one. Otherwise, where there is dark, there is dark. Darkness cannot delete the light. But light can make, delete the darkness and give the light. It should be the light. So there are no more doubts, there are no discussions, which we always speak about that. So, it is within us, in this physical body—all kinds of miracles, divine, everything is in this body. But you have to delete that darkness, which I said yesterday. That darkness and then the negative energy, the energy from our vṛttis, and when there is too much such energy, you can’t resist, you cannot hold. It will explode. You will disappear. But if you run away, where can you run away? This is another thing. One person said in a conference in New York, it was nearly a decade ago. There are always conferences on pollution. And that person said, "We create the pollution." What we call use and throw. So he said, "Use and throw." But where to throw? We throw everything on the earth. So we are creating the pollution. We are not throwing it into the sky. Everything is falling. So use and throw. Where to throw? Similarly, when you want to run away from the master, where or from your path or somewhere? Where will you throw? Where will you run? There is no space in the entire space, in the universe, that we can hide ourselves. We cannot hide. If we cannot separate the shadow of our body, it doesn’t matter how fast you run or fly, or bike or drive, or go to any country, the shadow of your body will be with you. And therefore, if you think you will go away, or someone thinks about what is called suicide, that doesn’t solve your problem. That is within us to get that light of knowledge. So don’t search here and there. You have your master, you have your mantra, and you practice. Don’t think that tomorrow I will get everything. Have you the faith within thyself and your master? You have faith in Mahāprabhujī? Then what are you searching for? There is no more to search. Just know thyself. Look within thyself and find out if there is some darkness in you or not. That darkness you can see with open eyes. On bright sunshine, eyes are open, and you see complete darkness. What is that darkness? Sunshine, you have good eyes. Your eyes are open, bright sunlight, but there is a darkness. How will we remove that darkness? And that is the darkness of ignorance. So, standing in the light, but there is only darkness. And that is negative thoughts, negative society, negative thinking, negative activities, the negative energy which you get from others. So we purify through Anuṣṭhāna, Kṛiyā Anuṣṭhāna. That is immense purification. That is very, very good. Mantra. And don’t hurry. If you hurry to get enlightenment, it means that your life is short. So, do you want to live long, healthy, and have more children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren? Meditate, pray, sing bhajans and mantras, eat well, and enjoy a long, long life. So, when you get enlightenment, then very soon this body will go. Tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanāt. A ripe sugar melon, a ripe cucumber, without pain, without harming the branch or the vine, the fruit will separate. And so you get mokṣa, self-realization, enlightenment without causing pain to this world. But if you try to die, if you try to give up everything, you will cause pain to the world, come, pain, to thyself. Then you are just lost in darkness. Therefore, Śiva consciousness, Śiva is the light, Śiva is energy, Śiva is mother and father both, because it is one. But we do mantra practice, prayer practice, the ceremonies, yajñas, we try to purify. Because our path is not limited. Our path has no border. Beyond the borders, that’s called Ananta, endless. And we are limited. Our knowledge is limited. So how should we know the endless one with the bordered one? So practice. Don’t hurry, don’t blame yourself or others, take a lifetime, and practice discipline. And take care of that energy which I spoke of yesterday. And if you have in your body, in your mind, in your thoughts, in your awareness, in your emotion, then try to purify. And that’s good, very good, called Anuṣṭhāna. Anuṣṭhāna is for that. And what Anuṣṭhāna is, that is what we are doing, the Kriyānuṣṭhāna. We are going through all the seven worlds. The three worlds down and three worlds up, these are within these suns. And the fourteen lokas, Chaudha Loka, Kiśo Brahman, and two thousand one hundred many Brahmans, belong to so many suns. But beyond there is more, because anant, no end. And that is a cycle. When they put bodies, there is no end. When we make a cycle, there is no end. That is endless. So your sādhanā is very good, and we have these nice programs, pūjās. Wish you all the best, good luck, and see you again. Deep Nanda Bhagavān, thank you. Oṁ Bhūle Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jaya, Guru Deva Kī Jaya.
