Mother Earth

Reconnect with the healing earth through direct contact. This soil is pure, free from artificial fertilizers and pesticides. Touching it is like touching a mother's body, transmitting healing vibrations. An experiment showed children's allergies disappeared after contact with a farm environment. Similarly, this earth recharges and heals. We are not separate from nature; we share the same five elements. The earth holds life, ready to bloom even after years of drought. Use this connection as a therapy in daily life.

"Feel as if you are touching your mother’s body. This earth is our mother."

"Whatever we get is from the Mother Earth."

Now, slowly move your body and sit up, and look toward me. The posture we practiced is very beneficial for our digestive system, our back muscles, and our respiratory system. We are very close to the soil in this garden. It has been ages and ages since this land has seen any artificial fertilizer. You can feel the smell of this soil here. Luckily, there is no water flow from agricultural fields carrying urea and other chemicals. It is a little cool. Ideally, you should relax and lie down directly on the earth without your plastic mat. I will guide you through an experience. Sit as you are, in a yoga posture. Place both palms on the ground in front of you, touching the soil. Feel as if you are touching your mother’s body. This earth is our mother. Yesterday, I told you a poem from a saint. A sādhu was moving through villages asking for alms, for food. He saw a man working with clay, a potter making pots. First, the potter soaked the soil in water, then he was squeezing that clay, throwing it down from a height in different ways. He was kneading the earth. Feel the earth now. You can move your fingers, but do not scratch it. You can touch with your hands, knock your palms, and turn your hands. It has a healing power. That saint stood there, watching what the potter was doing, how he was preparing the clay to make a pot. The saint could hear the sound of the trees, the sound of the earth, the sound in the universe. Time passed very quickly. There was an experiment, research done in Germany. If you feel your hands are changing, or if you don't wish to continue, you can sit straight and then again touch the soil. This research was concerning people with allergies—in summer, winter, autumn, spring—allergies to different kinds of energy, from flower pollen, even from snow dust, etc. One family went on a summer holiday and stayed with a farmer who had a few cows. The children played there, cleaning the cows and their dung, barefoot, touching everything with their hands. Within one week, their allergies disappeared. They thought, "Maybe we are better and healthy." So, an experiment was made with many farmhouses. It is a treatment to stay for some days or weeks on a farm with cows. Similarly, what you are doing now, touching this Mother Earth, is with such clean, pure soil here. That sādhu who was moving through the village for alms began to analyze what the potter was doing. He listened to the sound of the clay as the potter worked it. The clay said, "What are you torturing me?" Hlína říká hrnčíři. Now, take your hands up and feel the earth on your cheek. Just feel it. You can rub it. At least one of you will say, "Yes, good." And maybe smell it. How do you feel? This time, you have to experience that sensation, the vibrations going through your arms, through your nerves, like a positive vibration from the Mother Earth. Touch your hands on the earth and on this beautiful, gentle grass. It is a return to life in nature as a healing therapy. In places like high mountains where no pesticides have reached, it is a very rare spot in the world where there is no poison. Perhaps there is some pollution in the air that touches our ground, coming from space, mixed in the clouds, and raining down. But we are 80% safe in this highest place where there is no urea and pesticides in the water that touches the ground. Beautiful. Now, if you don't mind and your neighbor doesn't mind, take your socks off. Are you sure you washed your socks? Touch the soles of your feet to the ground. Sit normally. Place your feet on it, hold your wrist and arm, your knees just like this. Sit comfortably. Do Sarvahitāsana like this. Move your toes and slightly move your feet up and down. Once again, life is one with nature. We are not different from Mother Earth. This Mother Earth also has five elements. We have five elements. Mother Earth will never lose the seeds. Even after a few years with no rain in some Saharas or deserts, or in some parts of Australia where there is no rain for three or four years, when it finally rains, within a few days it becomes like a green carpet. In five, six, seven days, beautiful flowers come out like a carpet. Whatever we get is from the Mother Earth. So, when you have free time, you can sit like this. We are practicing outside your anuṣṭhāna or meditation. Touch your feet, hold a mālā in your hand, and chant your mantras. Many will be very happy and say, "Thank you, Swamiji. We can't sit in other postures." So, this is a new posture, new yoga in daily life. This position we are sitting in is a beautiful picture of the temple. And this temple, or this posture, is the body of the woman. That is, the woman is actually the source, the design from which Vāstu Śāstra comes. So if you like to sit elsewhere, you can. If you feel discomfort, you can sit in another position. Touch your hand on the ground again. You can get some soil from very high places, like mountains or the Alps, or some stones which are still untouched by poison. Bring a few kilos home and touch it sometimes, like this. Or bring little stones and make a small case. From time to time, stand on that bed between those stones. It is a therapy. There are different kinds of stones, crystal stones. I have a nice glass pot with about ten, fifteen, twenty little stones—white, blue, green, yellow, etc. We filled it with water and put one leaf from this tree inside. You will not believe it, but the leaf stayed green for a year. It was fighting to grow branches, but it had no capacity to produce them. It became itself like leather, thick like leather, but living and green. When we put a flower in, it lasts for one month, two months, as it is. Sometimes you think, "Oh, it's boring, I want to change the flowers." But if the flower has knots on the branches, then it begins to grow. So many of you know the miracle of the stones. Many of you know. Now you can place your hands on any area where you have pain—on the back, stomach, thighs, or hands. Let this energy come. You are already recharged; your battery is full. You only have a few days left here, and the weather is very good. So you can walk, power walk. Get energy from this, especially from this spot. That's it. You are completely recharged, and then comes some spiritual energy. Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Sadguru Mādhavānand Jī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Viśva Pūjya Paramahaṃsa Svāmī Śrī Maheśvarānand Jī Sadguru Dev Kī Jai. Gurujī Ke Janmadivasa Ke Upa Lakṣya Meṃ Aur Āj Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa Ke Janmadivasa Ke Upa Lakṣya Meṃ, on behalf of Gurudev's birthday and also Janmāṣṭamī for Lord Kṛṣṇa's birthday. We celebrate Gurujī's birthday and also Janmāṣṭamī, the birthday of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Gurujī kī āyu evam ārogjatā ke liye. For Gurudev's long life and health. Today is Lord Śiva Rudra Abhiṣeka. Mahā-mṛtyu-jaya-japa-kanuṣṭhān. Everybody did it in their classes. We've done it. Abhela mahā-mṛtyu-mantra-anuṣṭhāna vśikni sma se vienovali opakvāni mantrī aur sabhī avaitti sthāpit devatāu kā pratak kālin ṣoḍaś upacār se pūjā sampanna kī gai. All the gods and goddesses, Pundit jī did pūjā to invite all the gods and goddesses, and Pundit jī did pūjā this morning. Today, on the occasion of Guru Dev's birthday, I would like to do pūjā of his feet with all of you through mantras. Today, we all do together with Puṇḍit jī. With our hearts, Pundit jī will perform pūjā. A challenge for Gurudev on behalf of his birthday and on behalf of all of us. Today, Paṇḍitjī will perform the pūjā, but we will all carry it in our hearts, and it will be a pūjā for the birth of our Master. Because in Sanskrit, it is said in a śloka: Dhyāna Mūlam Gurur Mūrtiḥ, Pūjā Mūlam Guru Padam, Mantra Mūlam Gurur Vākyam, Mokṣa Mūlam Guru Kṛpā. In Sanskrit, we all, every day, and you maybe know all the meanings, but everything is in the Guru's feet. Guru Caraṇa Vandana is for everything. We all say, every day we repeat in prayer a mantra which you all know. We sing that everything is at the Guru's feet: "Gurudev kī kṛpā mokṣa ke samān hotī hai." Āp sabhī bhāgyaśālī hai, aur main bhī apne āpko bahut bhāgyaśālī samajhtā hūṁ ki Gurudev ne yahāṁ āne kā mujhe avasar pradān kiyā, aur is punya bhūmi ke upar āpke sāth meṁ āj Gurudev kā janma divas bahut hi sundar āyojan āp sabh ne rakhā hai. Iske liye aap sabhī kā rade se sādhanā nivād hai. Guru's blessing is for everyone, like liberation in your life, mokṣa. You get mokṣa from Guru's blessing. And Paṇḍitjī is also thankful to the Gurujī who invited him here, and he is with you, with all of us. I also have blessing from Gurujī because I came. I planned my trip according to his birthday. I wanted to celebrate with you all, and we all are very thankful to Gurudev for joining us. Thanks to all of you. a získáváme tím mokṣu. We want your permission to do your prayer and Caraṇa Vandana with all the Bhaktas. If you give us your blessing, we can do that. We can start, and we can all do pūjā together. Guru Dev Darśan Dhan Ho, Mahesh Kare Guru Seva. Mahesh Kare Guru Seva, Mujhko Sarna Rakho Guru Deva. Meera tan man dhan yar pan ho. Guru deva darśan dhan ho. O Gurudev, darśan dhan ho. Gurudev darśan dhan ho, Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī jai. Āj ke ānand kī jai, Satguru Dev kī jai, Bholenāth Bhagavān kī jai, Tripurā Māt kī jai, Śrī Mahādev kī jai, Devpurīśvar Mahādev Kī Jai, Śrī Mādhavānandjī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Śrī Sadguru Paramahaṁsa Svāmī Śrī Maheśvarānandjī Sadguru Dev Kī Jai. Sapkita Ravsikurujī, happy birthday. Thank you. So, thank you very much. Wish you all the best. Also, I think it was the best to be born. I have so many bhaktas, so I think I have to come back. Today is a very special day. First of all, it is the incarnation of Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa. We call it Janmāṣṭamī. Janma means birth. Aṣṭamī is the eighth moon day. If you have seen Mahābhārata and how Kṛṣṇa is coming, how was his birth, how much pain there was for the parents, mother and father, grandfather, etc., you know all. Otherwise, we could show a video of the birth of Lord Krishna; then you would understand. But I think you would not be strong enough to see the pain of the mother and the father. And so it is for every father and every mother. And the same thing with our mother earth—how much we are torturing her. That's it. Second, today is the day of independence in India. Third, it's also a holiday in Austria on the 15th of August. And most beautiful is that you are here, that we are here and having our spiritual sādhanā, our yoga trainings. Now I wish you all the best. Have a good interval and a little bite—it means lunch. Of course, I don't want to stop you from eating, but try to eat less so that you can have comfortable sitting and practice. Thank you, our dear Panditji. Panditji will do one more thing before the interval: Tilak for Gurudev. Namaste, Namaste... Namaste, Namaste... Namaste, Namaste. Hari Om. Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai.
