Morning meditation in Villach

A guided meditation on the Gāyatrī Mantra and Sūrya Pūjā.

Sit straight with eyes open. Chant the Gāyatrī Mantra with a consistent melody. Then close the eyes and mentally chant the mantra, visualizing its vibration ascending and descending through the spinal column from the Mūlādhāra to the Sahasrāra chakra. This practice is most effective at dawn. Visualize standing in the Gaṅgā, performing abhiṣeka with water to purify energy and fulfill wishes. For Sūrya Pūjā, before sunrise, pour water from a small pot onto a plant like tulasī while facing the sun. This generates energy and can fulfill a wish. Conclude by opening the eyes.

"The effect of the Gāyatrī Mantra is the ascending and descending through the spinal column."

"Imagine the water you take in both hands, and slowly, slowly, you are giving water back to the Gaṅgā."

Sit straight. Assume the chin mudrā. Keep your eyes open. Become aware of your being here. We will chant the Gāyatrī Mantra, but not too quickly. Oṃ Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ Tat Savitur Vareṇyam. Do not change the melody; again from the beginning. Oṃ Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ Tat Savitur Vareṇyaṃ Bhargo Devasya... Do not change the melody again from the beginning. You are always reverting to the old melody. So, I hope you only listen; I will chant. Oṃ Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ Tat Savitur Vareṇyaṃ Bhargo Devasya Dhīmahi Dhiyo Naḥ Prachodayāt. Oṃ Bhūḥ Svāhā Savitur Vareṇyaṃ Bhargo Devasya Dhīmahi Dhiyo Naḥ Prachodayāt Oṃ. Bhuvah Svāhā Savitur Vare Bhārgo Devasya Dhīmā Dhiyona Prachodayā. Oṃ Sūryaḥ Savitur Vare Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo Naḥ Prachodayāt. Bhuvah. Now close your eyes. And mentally chant the Gāyatrī Mantra from the Mūlādhāra Cakra to the Sahasrāra Cakra. Let go the vibration of the Gāyatrī Mantra mentally, with the same melodies. In your mind, with the same melody: "Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ, tát savitúr váreṇiyaṃ, bhárgo devásya dhīmahi, dhíyo yó naḥ." Oh, mentally chant your Gāyatrī Mantra, what we call the Mānasik Mantra. In your mind, sing the Gāyatrī Mantra. That is called Mānasik Mantra. The effect of the Gāyatrī Mantra is the ascending and descending through the spinal column, going through the chakras mentally; imagine the chakras. From the Mūlādhāra Cakra to the Sahasrāra Cakra, an ascending vibration from Mūlādhāra to Sahasrāra and from Sahasrāra to Mūlādhāra. Repeat your Gāyatrī Mantra. Repeat your Gāyatrī Mantra with the melody that we have sung together. The Gāyatrī Mantra is more effective during the Brahmāmuhūrta, before sunrise. And the sun should rise during your chanting of the Gāyatrī Mantra. It is amazing in your Chidākāśa: the dawn and the resonance or chanting of the Gāyatrī Mantra. Be aware of your being here. Feel comfortable and let the resonance of the Gāyatrī Mantra be within and outside of your being. Go ahead, mentally chant your mantra, the Gāyatrī Mantra, ascending and descending through the spinal column. Repeat the Gāyatrī Mantra up and down through the spine, along the spine. Oṃ Bhūvaḥ Svāhā. Don’t change thyself. Only I will change. Just sing inside, please. Oṃ Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ Tāt Savitur Vareṇyaṃ Bhargo Devasya Dhīmahi Dhiyo Yo Naḥ Prachodayāt. Oṃ Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ Tat Savitur Vareṇyaṃ. Imagine in your Cidākāśa, in the far distance, a beautiful sunrise. Imagine the holy river Gaṅgā, and imagine that you are stepping into the Gaṅgā up to your navel. And you take water from both your hands and perform this abhiṣeka in the Gaṅgā. Imagine the water you take in both hands, and slowly, slowly, you are giving water back to the Gaṅgā. This will bring your good wishes to fulfillment, your health, and the purification of negative energy. Wishes are fulfilled, and your negative energy is purified. Oṃ Bhur Bhuvah Svah Tat Savitur Vareṇyam Bhargo Devasya... five times. And five times you take water from the Gaṅgā and again perform the abhiṣeka into the Gaṅgā. And chant now loudly, five times. Eyes are closed. Imagine yourself standing in the Gaṅgā, and you are taking this water and performing the abhiṣeka. Five times. Go ahead. Don’t change the melody again. It was only five times long. You are already on the seventh now... When there is no Gaṅgā or no flow, then perform the Sūrya Pūjā, and there is a wish which I will tell you. Sometimes, it is very good, mostly for females, very beautiful, and gives you immense energy, and the wish comes true. So, you wake up in the morning some minutes before sunrise. You go and take a shower, wash yourself, and then—have even a tulasī plant in your house on the balcony or on the windows, in that direction where the sun is rising. If you don’t have a balcony, then a window. Take the water, like in a neti lotā, but not a neti lotā, similar to a lotā, and fill it with water, clean water, pure water. So, not a neti pot. It should look like a neti pot, but it’s not a neti pot. It’s a normal lotā. Hold the water pot in both hands, and then very slowly pour the water on the tulasī. If no tulasī, then some other plant. And I did not tell you that your eyes should be open now. Again, lost. And Aum three times. Aum. Aum. Be sharp. Sharp. Your palms. And open your eyes. Hari Om. Aum. Thau. Aum. Thau. Thau.... Thau. Thau.... Thau.
